Cut off all my dead hair finally but still kept a good length for me! I came here with a deal I saw online: $18 for a mani/pedi. Definitely couldn't refuse that! When I arrived, the place was nearly empty. There was one other person there getting their hair cut. The lady that did my nails, can't remember her name, was very nice. She started with my pedicure first, which was a plus since I was in desperate need of a massage. The massage chair was working miracles on my neck muscles. She saw how much I was enjoying the chair so when it was time for my manicure she just let me stay in the chair while she stood up. That definitely got major points in my book. Great customer service. She did an excellent job on my nails, even while standing. I'll definitely be back for another 'me' day. read more

I went here to get a trim and the haircut turned out just fine. But Mailee handled my hair so harshly and pulled it unnecessarily hard when brushing and sectioning it. When she blow dried my hair, she repeatedly scraped my scalp and forehead with the round brush. It was everything I could do to keep from crying. When I got home, I soaked my head in the tub to soothe the pain. My brother has had his hair cut here many times and speaks highly of it, but I can't recommend it if you have long hair. read more

My daughter and her bridal party wanted a spa day and I was willing to pay 2000.00 for services for the girls if Capri salon was a nice place. I went in on 10/9/2018 with a 12 appt and one lady asked me what I wanted. I said I have a appt for face waxing. She just nodded and said NOTHING. I sat down and waited. There were o4 people working and none of them said anything to me. They took walk ins for hair cuts but still NOTHING to me. After waiting 25 minutes I left not a word from anyone to me. Love that May works at this neighborhood gem of a nail and hair services salon! I am thrilled that I was able to re-connect with May today (after many years) for a fabulous gel mani-pedi service! She'd moved and I'd lost track of her until I found out from a mutual acquaintance that she'd joined Capri Salon recently! May is thorough, warm and clearly loves what she does as she meticulously and professionally does your nails! I love that she takes her time and does not rush her services! I really appreciate how she suggested a combination of two nail colors to come up with what I had in mind (I can never decide which nail color to pick)! She is also skilled as a hair stylist too which is how I first met her when she cut my children's hair at Hair Cuttery many years ago. This is my first of many future visits to Capri and I really felt relaxed as I enjoyed the calm ambiance, cheerful open spaciousness and camaraderie amongst the other stylists and customers. I do want to mention that Mailee is clearly a treasure who is valued by her customers and also values the stylists who works at Capri. It's very obvious that many customers on this busy Saturday afternoon were regular and longtime clients. Thanks again, Mailee for your help when I walked in asking if May worked at Capri! My friend and I got a Specialicious deal for an $18 mani-pedi, which is a great price, but unfortunately, the experience was pretty awful. The salon was apparently short on staff today, and must have decided that this was enough reason to provide bad service. While Emerly had finished my friend's toes and moved on to her hands, Annie was only starting mine (and she hadn't painted my toes yet). As I watched her slowly, messily smear polish around my nail/finger, I thought--has this woman never done this before?? Turns out she's a hairdresser who was "backup" for Emerly today. Emerly admitted to this, then quickly did my toes and redid my fingernails. Yes, they offered hot tea, and they smiled and made small talk. But I came to relax, (and leave relatively quickly--40 min tops!) and walk out with hands and feet looking great. After over an hour of sitting there, confused and increasingly stressed out, I ended up with a barely mediocre mani-pedi, hurriedly done in about 10 min. Plus, it was freezing (they only thought to turn up the heat as we were leaving), the foot bath smelled of sewage as it drained, and the lady at the front desk seemed to have no idea where she was, or what was going on. I left a tip, but only because I was too bewildered to remember not to. read more

We went here with a group of 4 for a pedicure and a manicure and they were very good about taking care of all of us. The chairs are absolutely amazing and the staff is very friendly. We use a Specialicious deal so the price was fantastic, but even without the deal the prices are very reasonable. The one drawback we experienced was the hair. First there were some long hairs in the pedicure bath that my daughter was in. Secondly, since they also cut hair we noticed that as you walk around with your flip flops after your pedicure you may walk through hair. I came here with the specialicious deal for the mani pedi for $18. They were very courteous on the phone when I made the appointment and mentioned the coupon. I called to say that I would be fifteen minutes late and they were very understanding. I came on a Saturday morning and they were very busy and I had to wait about ten minutes until they were ready for me, which was fine. I got an eyebrow wax first and it was perfect. The lady who did my eyebrows had a great attention to detail and shaped them beautifully. Next I had a mani pedi. The best part of this is that the massage was about 5 full minutes for each and they used awesome pressure! This is what I look for in a nail services. The bad part was the nail polish chipped by that night which makes me think that they are not using a quality product or diluting it :/ The techs were all friendly, welcoming and talkative. I received some of the best customer service that I have ever gotten at a nail salon. The mani pedi was worth the $18 for such a nice experience but they just need to get better polish. With that it would be a solid 4 stars. I am willing to try them again and update my review! read more

I LOVE CHAS! I have been following her around for a decade from salon to salon. We first met by chance when she cut my hair at Bubbles Salon in Reston. I don't think I realized how nice my cut was until I received compliments from my friends who insisted they wanted to go see her too. From then I was a regular. I felt fabulous every time I got up from her chair. More and more of my friends became her clients as well. I'm sad to say that my experience at Capri Salon & Spa was completely unacceptable. I had called earlier in the week to make a weekend appointment for a friend and I. We had both recently purchased the Living Social coupon for a manicure and pedicure for $29, and we were looking forward to trying out a new place. When we walked in, there were two employees working with two other customers in the pedicure chairs, and one hairstylist doing a client's hair. After a few seconds of standing awkwardly at the receptionist desk, the hairstylist acknowledged us, to which I replied, "We have an appointment at 3 for the Living Social manicure and pedicure." She said to go ahead and take a seat. We sat there for 30 MINUTES waiting to be seen. This place is clearly understaffed, as no other employees emerged to take care of my friend and I. As we were waiting, we saw two employees, possibly other hairstylists, just meandering around the place aimlessly. Just as my friend and I were getting fed up, one of the employees, who was still with her current customer, filled our pedicure baths for us and told us to take a seat. We waited for about 20 more minutes in the pedicure chairs until the same employee came back to take care of my friend. Just as she had pulled my friend's foot out of the bath to dry it off and begin the pedicure, two new customers came in. The same employee immediately jumped up and began filling two foot baths for the new customers, while my friend just sat there with one foot out of the tub. I can only assume that these two women were either family or friends of the employees, as they were absolutely shown preferable treatment. After about 5 minutes of the employee rushing around for the two new customers, we had about had it. The last straw was when the employee began servicing the two new customers immediately and completely disregarded my friend and I. At this point, we got up and left. My friend made sure to tell the employees that they had just lost our business and that we would definitely be writing reviews about what we had experienced. I am very sad to say that this is just another example of a poorly-run business. I wasted 45 minutes of the day just to be treated as a second-class citizen. read more

I purchased a specialious for a mani/pedi at the Capri Salon. I came an in an hour early from my appointment time hoping they could see me. If they couldn't, a simple yes would have been fine. Instead, they decided to talk about me in a mean/negative way to each other in Vietnamese not realizing that I can understand the language. I was very upset. If you think they are talking about you - they TOTALLY are. They told me to come back at my appointment time which I never did since I never want to do business with this place again. If I could rate them any lower than 1 star, I would. My friend and I went in for a mani-pedi after purchasing a great living social voucher. Very hopeful, we made an appointment days ahead of time, and we arrived on time, if not a few early. Upon entering, we made them aware of our appointment, and they directed us to sit down and wait. Fine- no biggie. After waiting for nearly 30-minutes past our appointment time, they escorted us over to two chairs where they had prepared obligatory foot-baths for us, filled with not-even-lukewarm water. Fine- no biggie. My patience was still slightly in tact. We sat there for another 15-20 minutes, no contact made from any single employee... Invisible?? A lady finally came over to do my feet, she set out her tools, took out my foot and dried it... Yay? Not really. She stopped everything she was doing when two women walked in (maybe friends/regulars/family), and proceeded to immediately set up pedi chairs for said customers. Meanwhile, my pruned foot sits... And sits... And sits. Breaking point was when she actually sat down to do one of the new customers feet, totally abandoning the terrible job she had already started with me. My friend and I stood up to walk out and not one employee there tried to stop us. Not one person asked where we were going, or why (as if they didn't know). I made sure to let them know that I would be writing reviews on every channel I could, and I plan on honoring that. It would be one thing if my friend and I had been bad customers, or if we had been rude in some way. While it would totally have been justified, we didn't say anything to them throughout this frustrating process. We gave them the benefit of doubt on several occasions and hung on as long as we could. The way we were neglected is completely and totally unacceptable and should speak VOLUMES about how they conduct business. As I told them on my way out... 'You all lost our business.' And I will add this here: I suggest you rethink how you operate and how you treat your guests... Especially your new ones. We felt not only disregarded, but we felt we were discriminated against, as made evident by their eagerness to leave us to our cold foot-baths for the women that JUST walked in, of the same heritage. Best chairs I have been in though- got a great massage for free. Still, would not recommend this place to my worst enemy, and will never return. read more

I ended up telling her to do curls only bur had top guide her the entire time. Towards the end I did my own hair. While I started going for mani/pedi (which are wonderful and a great price), I've now started going for hair as well. Annie, hope you're reading this - you're awesome! If you need a cut, color, highlights, long hair or short, I'd totally recommend her. I told her what I was thinking and she just got it. If you've ever been to the salon and you have to go home and restyle your hair because the stylist didn't get it quite right (ok, I done that quite a few times), Annie was right on. And if that isn't enough, they have someone who does threading as well (my daughter sees her), as well as massage and facial. Yep, I'm trying that next. My friend and I have used Capri Salon twice now. Both times felt them to above accommodating. Christina does a wonderful massage and my pedi's lasted more than 3 weeks (used the OPI polish). They even did an extra sparkle polish layer at my request. The first time, the ladies were willing to let me swap the manicure for the haircut I was desperately needing. The next time we stopped in without an appointment. They were full but offered to stay past closing time if we wanted to return in a hour (absolutely). We went down to the sushi place on the corner, had a lovely birthday dinner and back for pampering. The massage chairs are a of a good quality with lots of options for working just the right spots. The place is clean and the ladies are very friendly. The only reason I'm not giving them 5 stars is the lack of a receptionist. An issue mentioned by other posters. This was the worst experience ever... When I arrived for my appointment at 10am the salon was closed. Me and another customer who had an appointment at the same time, sat in our cars until 2 of their employees opened up shop nearly 30 minutes late. Not even taking into consideration my first impression, the requests I made for my hair were very simple and basic. I asked for a trim and that my hair be dyed a chocolate brown, my final result was red/orange hair and almost 7 inches of my hair gone. I thought she understood the basic terms I was using, however the final product showed me that her supposed "10 years" of experience was a full on lie. Not to mention this lady named "Annie" claiming to be one of the owners looked liked she rolled out of bed and came to work. I will not recommend anyone visit this salon unless you have no expectations of what you will leave looking like. read more
