It was fun to actually walk into a mall and retail store for the first time in 4 years it seems. Lingered in shoes, handbags and went upstairs for apparel. I find it difficult to shop and understand the vibe of each department. Assumed they expect you to linger down the aisle looking for a treasure. I did that and found a few items to try on and the service was great, welcoming and memorable so making it easy to remember who helped you. I would have stayed longer but felt overwhelmed with how they arrange their departments and the styling of the mannequins. Don't get me wrong as I like the quality but 90$ for a tank top. The staff, specifically the short blonde haired Spanish lady has a big attitude. I returned an unused once-worn jacket that did not fit me. She started complaining about it smelling nice like cologne. (I was wearing some myself that day) then she proceeded to lecture me about returns and how they work? As if I am an uneducated person. Repeatedly making snarky comments and remarks. After spending several thousands here I am unwilling to come back to spend more, this lady clearly does not understand how to treat customers acting as if 1 return comes out of her own pocket. If management sees this you should fire her and replace her with someone who knows how to deal with customers. Happy to provide a recording of the interaction as well. My friend and I went to MAC cosmetics which is located at this location. I had went to Sephora prior to coming here, and the ladies there weren't that much of a help. We walked down to Nordstrom. We were immediately greeted by Nikki at the counter. I was telling her what was going on. I'm not big on makeup at all. She took the time to find the right foundation for me. She even applied it just to make sure. The ladies at Sephora didn't even do that. I really appreciated her taking her time and having patience with me. Her customer service skills are excellent! This review is strictly for the sales staff in beauty/skin care. The short: RUDE, RUDE, RUDE. Do not shop here. I just left the mall and am still annoyed because absolutely no one working there so much as acknowledged myself or my husband when we walked through the area to look for some moisturizing cream. There are no other customers and every single sales person was either on their phones or chatting with a coworker. I've worked in retail my whole life and it's not always pleasant but I was trying to look for something specific to buy. I'm not going to slop on makeup and get dressed up so I can give them my money. Do not shop here and support the abhorrent behavior of these salespeople. They're completely unprofessional and don't deserve any commission. I feel sorry for the other departments because the staff in baby/kids is always helpful without being too aggressive. If I am going to be at a busy mall on a Saturday, I hope to find at least that one place that where i can comfortable. I am a big fan of Nordstrom, but I have never been to this particular location. I typically shop Galleria or North Park stores, but this store was refreshingly a bit more comfortable to me. It is hard to explain, but sometimes the other two stores seem a bit too stuffy. This Stonebriar store had a much more relaxed atmosphere. Everything else was similar to the Nordstrom experience I am accustomed to. Great customer service and great selection. Would not accept my return/exchange for sunglasses that were broken on the hinge when I got them. Tried to exchange for undamaged pair but they advised me to have them fix it. I've gone in 4 times a year to have them "fixed". The reason I purchase from Nordstrom is because of their great return/exchange policies and customer service. I've had such a disappointing experience with the stylist shopping for my Mother of the Groom dress. Showed up for my appointment which I made on the website and received a confirmation email. The stylist said it was canceled because I wasn't a Nordstrom member. Made an account right then and rescheduled. She said I should order the dresses I like and have them sent to the store which I did and I could try on there with her. My dresses have arrived but I must pick them up before my scheduled appointment or they will be returned. I have sent her two messages asking if she could hold the dresses for the appointment with no response. I'm really not seeing the value of this stylist. read more

Went in for a suit on short notice, with low expectations due to the time constraint. Was helped by a worker named Bernie who was very personable, very helpful, and had excellent taste. Based on my preferences, he single-handedly found both a suit and very stylish, bold tie that both matched exactly what I wanted, within less than 10 minutes. He rung me up, gave some useful tie shopping tips, and my suit was perfectly tailored to my relatively uncommon proportions within only a couple days. First I'm not even sure if this goes to the store itself or the warehouse! If I could guess it would be the warehouse because there was no option to pick up in store! I couldn't wait for Nordstrom to receive this the skims yoga mat! As soon as I opened the shipping box that it came in the yoga mat itself was not in a box of its own! It was laid sideways inside the shipping box with some brown paper stuff on the side of it! It also had some sort of stains on it that I try to immediately just swipe off, but will not come off! It also looks like some sort of cuts on the label that is around the mat itself! I don't know what it is to be honest so I am putting pictures and you can determine for yourself! I saw other reviews, but thought maybe mine would be different and this is what I got! Something that is so pricey that I didn't mind paying for this was not expected! Then to find out they are SOLD OUT (which means I cannot exchange for an actual NEW one) so now I have a dilemma on my hands! Not VERY HAPPY AT ALL! I've been a loyal Nordstrom for over 20 years! Nordstroms is the department store I spend the most money in person and online. We purchased a bracelet for my husband's birthday from the kids and the bracelet wasn't clasping correctly, which isn't Nordstroms fault but the designer. I came in today and Elijesa provided the BEST customer service I've ever experienced. SHE is the definition of EXCELLENT CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE and the way she took care of me today is another reason why I will ALWAYS be a loyal Nordstrom customer! Walked past four sales people in men's clothing and no one asked if I needed any help or even acknowledged me.

Scheduled a consultation for baby equipment. It was supposed to be an hour appointment. We expected to get one on one attention and actual help in understanding the different products and features. Instead we showed up and even though we had a confirmation email, it seemed like no one was expecting us. We were passed off to the manager of the section who spent maybe a total of 15 minutes showing us a few strollers. It felt like a sales pitch for a specific brand and set up instead of actual help. We were being shown the most expensive items instead of a variety. At no point did we get to try the different set ups with help from the manager. Instead, we walked away feeling like we could have done most of it ourselves since we ended up pretty much teaching ourselves how things worked instead of getting what we thought we signed up for. This store was one of my favorites however the women there are very unprofessional with attitudes. Parri has issues some serious issues she gave me her personal cell phone number to text her for her schedule for my brows. However I must have caught her on the wrong day because out the blue she snapped on me and made it seem as if it or I was a problem with me getting contacting her to get her schedule FOR MY BROWS keep in mind she gave me her number.... Nikki on the other hand is just flat out mean and trying to get you out your money for nothing or maybe she just didn't like me for whatever reasons.I went in got my brows done and they looked like a 5 year old colored them in. I showed them to the manger and other coworkers and they apologized on her behalf. Marissa and Jordan are very nice and professional .. this store has went down through the years with there artist. And Parri is always high as kite so maybe that's the reason she forgot that she gave me her number and has texted me on several occasions on when to come get my brows done by her. This should be a 1 star review but the sales associate in women's shoes made it a 2 star experience. Forget about curbside pickup at this location you will be on hold or trying to get ahold of them for longer than it takes to go inside and get it yourself off the shelf. I choose curbside because I have a 15 month old who can be a handful getting in and out of the car. Do better Nordstrom. The customer service team where I picked up my order was nice but not helpful at all. They told me they did not have any box for my item as it is a gift. Thankfully the shoes salesman went and hunted down a box for me. I have been to this store multiple times. Each time half the store is roped off for some kind of sale. I didn't even bother to shop around it because it was more than half the store roped off into a maze of places you are allowed to go. I dont care about anniversary sales or what ever holiday it is, I go to shop. Being roped of for a sale happening the next day is ridiculous. Rope things off after hours like other stores. read more

The customer service experience was memorable. The staff was well trained, polite and helpful. Present: Nordstrom is "out for the buck". The quality is dismal. Customer service is non existent or confrontational. They do not stand up for their merchandise. i bought a $500 Nordstrom gift for a friend who had just done a huge favor for me. I presented it to her and she was thrilled. I knew she wanted to upgrade her wardrobe so this I assumed would be the perfect way to express my appreciation. A few minutes later she approached me sheepishly. She told me the card was defective. Both of us were highly embarrassed. I said i would call the company. I called the highly inappropriately Customer Service Department and I explained the problem. The rep said very curtly: Gift cards are non refundable. File a police report (like they have nothing better to do than chase down hackers of gift cards). I said I wanted a refund She said (a little louder this time. I think perhaps she imagined I did not hear her the first time): Gift cards are non refundable. I offered: I did not purchase a gift card. I bought a $500 piece of plastic with a fancy package. She said (go ahead, guess): Gift cards are non refundable. The store got their money from the sale. Nordstrom got paid for the card. i had to substitute another gift for the worthless card. The intended recipient got a nice gift and an embarrassing moment. I got only the embarrassment and i was out $1000. I wrote to the Nordstrom CEO....twice.... about my experience and my thoughts about the decline of a store that was the epitome of customer service . Poor customer service and lack of product knowledge I came in looking for a candle the home department upstairs. The lady had no idea what Voluspa candles are and said they don't carry them. This is an established brand I've purchased from many Nordstrom's before. I checked downstairs and find some in the perfume section. The short haired blond woman checking me out was rude. I asked for tissue paper since it was a gift and she gave me attitude and had to leave the register like I can inconvenienced her. Nordstrom is my go to store. I have had multiple problems at this particular location. There are some star employees that do a fantastic job but they are far and few between. I purchased a top and the next day it was online for $40 cheaper. I went in and asked for a price adjustment. I went to one checkout and she told me Nordstrom does not do price adjustments and wouldn't honor the online price. Instead of returning it, I decided to go across the isle and asked another employee. She did the price adjustment in less than 30 seconds. Btw the first employee I went to was not a new employee. I decided I'd like some new eyeshadow pallets. I had some in my online cart so I knew which brand I wanted to shop. As soon as I walked in the cosmetics dept I was greeted and then passed off to someone else. I told this person what I wanted and they told me they didn't have any left in stock. I chose something else and got the same response. They didn't treat me with any respect and seemed to just want to go join their very large group of fellow employees that were just standing around chatting or on their phones and some were dancing around in the isles like they were at a club. This cosmetic dept at this location needs an overhaul. I did look through the makeup myself and found what I wanted but didn't bother trying to pay. I'll go to Northpark to buy makeup from now on or just buy online. If I buy online they can't see the color of my skin. Luuurve Nordstrom. No fuss return policy, quality and fashionable items without the excessive Neiman Marcus prices. Great sales too. There is a Russian saying " I can't afford to buy cheap clothes". I think of this every time I splurge here, as most of the clothes, shoes etc., will last. Downside is that with their flexible return policy comes the risk that you will receive very worn items if purchasing on line. Not impressed with this store anymore. They have no stock and everything is always picked over. I was there today 2 weeks before Christmas and it was a zoo which is to be expected. Walked in with plenty of holiday spirit and was greeted with Techno rock music blaring so loud you could not even carry on a conversation. No holiday music at all and the decorations were horrible. If they don't want to play holiday music, how about some nice piano music. I felt like we were walking into a night club not an upscale department store.
