This review is for the Stonebriar Nordstrom store in Frisco, Texas. This used to be my favorite store...not anymore!! The vibe of the place has completely changed and the customer centered service that is the backbone of Nordstrom is no longer being provided. The high end shopping experience has been replaced by shoddy and rude service. I believe there is a new store manager now. The change is very evident overall. I do not feel welcomed or valued here anymore - I find better and friendlier service at Target!! Online Shipping has been a nightmare as well. So I am done spending my money with you, Nordstrom!! This Nordstrom is so disappointing and it makes me sad to say that. Nordstrom was always the gold standard when it came to customer service, and at a lot of locations, that is still the case. Unfortunately, Frisco is not one of them. With the exception of maybe two employees (one is the hardest working woman in the kids' shoe department and the other works in fragrances), a majority of employees come across as rude and bothered by customers asking for help. For as long as I can remember, you never had to ASK for help at Nordstrom. The employees went out of their way to make sure you were helped. I recently spent a hefty chunk of change on clothes for my kids and a few pieces were too small. I went in to return the smaller pieces, waited my turn in line, and when I finally got to the register, the woman said she couldn't help me because her "customers" ( she gestured to an empty part of the department) needed her to be available to them. She told me to go across the store to make the return. Seriously? I just waited 15 minutes for you to send me across the store to return to a different department when there were only two shoppers not in any need of any assistance? I asked her, "Are you saying I'm not a customer?" She quickly changed her tune and told me to please not say that, I guess because she knew I was politely calling her out? Then "suddenly" she was friendly to me. How convenient. Fine. Not every experience is going to be positive. I figured it was a one off... maybe an issue with one employee. Nope. When I was there this past weekend looking for a dress for a formal Gala, the salesladies completely ignored me. I was struggling to reach a dress, and the saleslady went up to the two women directly next to me (who incidentally were just standing and talking) to ask each of them if they needed help or a room, but failing to ask me if I needed any assistance as I'm up on my tiptoes trying to reach a dress. I followed her to the register to ask if I could please try the dresses on. She told me she was "really busy" (she was hanging clothes up on hangers) and couldn't help me, then SHOUTS across to the lingerie department to ask the girl there to open up a room. I was so embarrassed! She made me feel like I wasn't "good enough" to try on dresses in their fitting room and that I was bothering her, and I was delegated to lingerie where I received no follow up asking if I needed any other sizes (I did). And when I finally emerged disappointed and feeling utterly embarrassed, another saleswoman gave me a side-eye when she realized I was trying on dresses in the wrong department... which is exactly where I was sent because the other gal was "too busy" hanging up clothes on hangers. Then she came out and started talking about me to the original lady WHILE I WAS STANDING RIGHT THERE. I would NEVER expect to have had that kind of treatment at Nordstrom of all places. It's really disappointing. I never leave reviews like this but these experiences really put a bad taste in my mouth. I know times are tough and everyone is under a lot of stress, but good grief, this was beyond and days later, it's still bothering me. I really hope that someone in the management department reads this review and others and takes some time to really beef up the customer service training because the degradation of Nordstrom employees is disheartening. I normally have a phenomenal experience at Nordstrom, but this one is a mess - it's almost like an entirely different department store. It's under construction so it's majorly understocked, which is understandable, but the areas aren't well marked or organized so you're in a normal area one step and a construction zone the next. They consistently show they have things online through their store availability locator but then don't have them in store. All of that is forgivable, but I had a truly abhorrent experience today. I tried to return a necklace at their return counter, in its original packaging with a Nordstrom sticker and barcode, and the woman helping me, Adrianna, was a nightmare. She gave me a huge attitude about me not having a receipt - it was a birthday gift, why would I have a receipt? She then told me there was nothing they could do, which is shocking - Nordstrom is known for a liberal return policy and this was a brand new item, in the packaging, with the sticker and price tag, missing only the Nordstrom return-specific sticker. When I pointed this out, she insinuated that I placed a fake sticker on the box. I was shocked and so embarrassed. I spend thousands at Nordstrom ever year, and she is accusing me - in front of numerous associates and customers - of attempting to fake return a $52 necklace for store credit?! When I pointed this out she denied suggesting it was a forged sticker, despite clearly implying that moments earlier. So shocking and disappointing and I will meber return to this location again. Note to Corporate: Just because this is a suburban location does not mean you should have your C team staffing. read more

I shop at Nordstrom more than any other store. However, even though this location is only a few miles from my home, I usually either drive to another location or order online. The shoe department is so scant and the service is hit-or-miss. Most importantly, if I am dressed in casual wear, some of the staff seems to delay assisting me. This is especially true in the shoe section. The staff in tbd is smart enough to recognize that my entire wardrobe is from Nordstrom. This has been an ongoing theme for years... Nordstrom, just because this store is in the burbs doesn't mean there aren't savvy shoppers. Improve your shoe selection and train your staff better. read more

Honestly probably the RUDEST, more far left political, brainwashed embarrassing employees at this particular location I have ever met in the history of shopping at Nordstrom over the past 15+yrs. I spend 10s of thousands of dollars + per year with Nordstrom and these employees at this location in Frisco Texas (a pretty conservative and upper class/nice area) are by far the most difficult and disrespectful around. We just moved from CA and I had the nicest personal shoppers, employees at all locations I went to, they did not act entitled or brainwashed or rude-ever. The employees at this location act as such and it's an embarrassment for the company! Nordstrom has definitely changed over the past few years since the dad passed away and it's become a very strange and uncomfortable place to shop. I have a personal shopper here whom I absolutely love, she's kind, helpful, sweet and amazing. If it weren't for her or the convince of being close to our home I definitely would not be shopping here. Also Nordstrom has some very inconvenient and strange policies like if you order online for online pick up, it's not fulfilled in the actual store? Even though they have it in stock in the store? You have to wait for some random fulfillment person or center to "bring it to the store." So bazaar and backwards. Hopefully they are not teaching their employees this bs CRT inanity and they can get a new, nicer, better and more positive outlook on shopping, customer service and being nice to patrons in general, b/c they have lost their way here and they are pretty awful. Kaling helped me find the perfect match to cover the night shifter eyes I came in with that needed some resolution. She tried a few colors till we found a perfect shade. I really hate being ignored. My BF offered to harass someone to help me... LOL but that's just not me. I can see it was busy but some acknowledgement of my presence was all I really wanted. I had always loved Nordstrom for their customer service, my sisters and I have all been members for years(my sister even has their credit card,haha) I was even offered a job as head of customer service for one of their California locations. However today I had a horrible customer service experience at the Frisco location. I have a pair of men's 7 brand jeans that I bought online for my husband less than a year ago, they did not fit him so they were never worn and I kept the tags on and have the receipt. I wanted to return them, but all of the stores where I lived were closed due to covid, I did not have a printer so I could not return via mail either. I called this Nordstrom location ahead of time to ask if they would take them back, since it was going to be a far drive for me I wanted to guarantee it first. The girl I spoke with guaranteed it, and said that they even refund people who have waited 10 years to return! So I made the far drive. When I got there they said they would not refund me, or even give me store credit. Their reasoning was that the specific jeans were sold through Nordstrom rack online. So I only had 40 days to be refunded or given store credit. It did not matter to them that the stores where I lived were closed for 4 months due to covid, and it did not matter to them that I had been guaranteed otherwise on the phone before making the far drive to be rudely turned away. I currently work at a high level of customer service for another company, and I know this is not even decent customer service standards this store is going by. I am incredibly disappointed. I could have easily escalated this issue while there, but being in customer service myself I did not want to put those girls at the desk in that position. This is a very busy location. If your trying to get to MAC on the weekends good luck! Hit them up when they first open mid week. It's crickets in there. I have worked with a few of the personal shoppers there and it's definitely more fun to shop with one rather than not. I asked them to reinforce a few buttons that looked loose and they did it right there on the spot! It took about 10 mins and I went for a cup of coffee and came back and my blouse was ready to go. We were walking around the mall last weekend and my wife decided to walk into Nordstroms to look around. While we were there my toddler saw Sid the Science Kid DVDs. She loves to watch Sid and we didn't have some of the DVDs. Impulse buy, walked to the counter in the kid's department ...waited ... waited ... waited. After about 5 minutes I gave up and walked off. I saw the guy who was originally manning the counter odd socializing with another employee out of view of his register. I might expect that from a store being ran by teenage kids but not from an alleged "high-end" store. Trust those who Yelp regularly This is for Nordstrom management: I haven't been to Nordstrom for a while, but had some extra time and decided to look for a replacement pair of khaki pants. A young woman (Emily) asked if she could help me, so I inquired. They didn't have the pants I was looking for, but she showed me some others I liked and bought. Emily had them altered/pressed in less than an hour, and didn't hesitate to check on them (without request) when she saw I had returned from the mall and was waiting patiently in a seating area. She delivered them to me, thanked me for being a Nordstrom customer, and wished me a good night. Yes, Nordstrom is a bit more expensive than other stores, and this is why. Nordstrom is absolutely my favorite department store. Not only do they have a great selection of brands (& SHOES!) but their customer service is amazing as well. Shopping at Nordstrom makes you spoiled and unwilling to shop elsewhere. I recently went Christmas shopping and needed help finding a specific brand of shirt for my Dad. I went to Dillard's, then Macy's, and finally ended up at Nordstrom because no one seemed willing to help at the other stores. Guess they didn't need my business? Nords is awesome. Although this location isn't quite as nice as the one in North Park. Since it's a Stonebriar, there are a lot of teeny boppers working here; most of whom have no fashion sense. I like coming here during weekday afternoons to avoid all the annoying teenagers. Super friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable staff that's always there making sure you're taken care of. Nordstrom's return policy is the best too- very liberal and fair about their returns. Not that I would ever take advantage of that, but the peace of mind that comes with knowing their policy makes me so comfortable to buy here and buy more than any other store I go to. The shoe department....oh wow, the shoe department can easily take up a whole day. And that is a good thing in my book. The staff is so friendly and helpful without acting like annoying up your a$$ salesmen, One time I had a Juicy wristlet lose it's bling 6 months after purchase. I brought it in, and they replaced it, no problem. This time, I had a bottle of perfume break in my purse. They looked up my purchase, replaced my perfume with a new bottle, and cleaned my purse. This is a store with integrity. They know and stand behind their products. I buy almost everything here because of this. Are they pricey? yes. Is it worth it? hell yes. Nordstrom is my go to for Occassion dresses because their selection is usually so good; I can find dresses for any occassion, but not at this Nordstrom...Unless I have already ordered it online and had it shipped to the store. Their BP section literally looks like a wasteland. Their shoe, makeup, and accessories (and men's) section definitely help as they seem to have the most to offer...and really who can resist a good Nordstrom shoe section? "Why You Just Lost A Customer" To Whom It May Concern: Effective today I will no longer be a patron of Nordstrom. One two separate incidents I have applied for in store credit, and was duly denied both times. Keep in mind I am a card member at Neiman Marcus and Saks Fifth Avenue and were approved with hardly any hassle- instantaneously too I may add. You may see my choice to no longer patronize menial, however consider the following: 1. As mentioned previously the other, more distinguished department stores issued me cards on the spot. By you not doing do- or even giving the option to start off with a small credit line you are only hurting your bottom line... A. Since I opened my Neiman's account in early December, I have already spent $2,250.00 on merchandise. Based on that trajectory, that would be about $13,500 a year I spend with them. B. People who make purchases with credit cards are higher than those who use cash/ credit C. I have read that even those with good credit have been denied a card with Nordstrom. D. As a company, your net worth has been decreasing since 2014 (734 million) to 437 million in 2018. read more
