They canceled my order saying my item was out in my size and color yet I had an email saying my item was ready for pickup and would be held until 2/1. Every business Ive ever seen holds the item with your information on them so they dont get sold since it was already paid for. So did an employee just sell my order? The email also stated that "your order has been canceled as you requested" which I never did and they confirmed it was canceled for the reason they said (out of size and color). I had one of the worst customer service experiences at this store. I had bought some shoes online and wanted to return some of them, which I did. At the time of the return, I was told that I could apply the rewards/discounts that I am losing (due to the returns) any time during the day, before close. To confirm, I asked the employee if I could apply the benefits that are on the receipt - there were 12 line items. I added up the 12 line items and asked if that was the amount that I could take as the reduction on whatever purchases I would make and she confirmed. I am not used to shopping at this store nor do I know their policies on discounts/benefits but after the reconfirmation, I felt confident that if I came back with my family in the evening, then I can get the discounts/benefits that I had lost. I had basically changed my whole family's evening plans due to this information. Let me repeat - I changed my family's evening plans due to this information. When I returned to the store in the evening, I immediately stood in line and asked one of the cashiers about what I was told earlier in the day and if I could use those discounts/benefits. After she confirmed, I also asked her the value of the discounts that I could use would be those 12 line items added up and she confirmed. Once that was confirmed, I took my family to the various aisles and bought what they desired. After finding the items that we wanted, we stood in line and when we got to the cashier, we indicated the conversations from earlier. Due to some issue where the cashier messed up, she had to call who I presume was the evening manager, Jacklyn, to fix the problem. After I indicated to Jacklyn what had happened, she said that it was not normal policy. However, as she was doing the checkout for us, she told us that we would save a mere $20 and not the value that was earlier indicated by 2 different employees. After I indicated the displeasure of coming back to the store and changing our family's plan and wasting 2 hrs of our evening, Jacklyn had absolutely NOTHING to say - NO words of comfort, NO apology, NOTHING. What baffles me the most is that there was NO apology from Jacklyn, which I presumed was the manager at the time. I STILL cannot believe this. What kind of customer service environment is being created if the manager herself does NOT know how to treat a customer. Customer Service 101: "Thank You" and "Sorry" My advice to DSW - TRAIN all your staff, including your managers - this is clearly something that is lacking at this location. This is a pretty good sized store with a healthy clearance section, unfortunately they seem to be out of a lot of the most popular sizes and this causes you to have to drive all over DFW to go to other DSWs and find the shoe you want (if they carry it). I did think that there were more "young" and "trendy" styles at this location than at others in the DFW area and it might be because of it's location near all the fancy shopping of Stonebriar. Definitely worth a stop if you're shoe shopping but be prepared to have to go somewhere else! read more

I bought a pair of $64.99 Skechers sandals that had a defect and caused a blister within 10 minutes of wearing them while on vacation. Thankfully I had taken my Birkenstock sandals with me so at least I had one pair of sandals to wear. I tried to return them to DSW for said defect but was met with a smug go-away look and was told, "Our policy is once you wear the shoes you cannot return them!" No instore credit--nothing. It has been years since I shop at Dsw, but coming in today was a good visit. They have quite a selection for boots currently and I did find a few styles I like. Very helpful service from Vanessa, bill and Marianne. I wear size 5.5 to 6 so my size is always gone first. So I usually end up ordering through the store and having all the boots ship to me. Vanessa was very knowledgeable with the ordering process. The store is huge and the clearance section is big. But for my size I never find anything in clearance lol read more

Easy return policy. I ordered shoes online that didn't fit, and I was able to take them back without any hassle. Money was credited back quickly. They have a good selection of shoes here, but a lot of them are still a bit pricey for me. Get on their rewards program though. I got a $5 coupon for my birthday, plus just got a $10 coupon as well. I was returning an online order. A pair of shoes for my granddaughter. I usually shop at the Allen, Texas store. However, my office is just a few miles down the street from this location. Long story short. I had previously placed an order online. However, when I went to the Allen store to pick up the order, the order had been misplaced and I received a call from management to pick it up later that day. Unfortunately, I was out of town for several days and they returned my order. I purchased another pair of backup so my granddaughter would have them for Christmas. I went to the Frisco store today to return the extra pair. I was told that the order had been returned already in the system. Well, that was impossible because I had them in my hand. The young girl called a manager (guy). He interrogated me for about 15 minutes until the manager, Jessica walked up without an introduction. I reminded calm and repeated the issue again to her. The two individuals looked and spoke to meet me as if I was a kid. I am a 60-year-old woman. After 25 minutes, back and forth. She gave me a store credit. Which I was okay with from the start. I checked out this DSW location today after work. This is probably one of my favorite DSW's! The store is massive and very organized. They have a huge clearance section, although I didn't have time to check out the selection. I was pretty much in and out in 15 minutes. My dad is a huge fan of DSW...and I think he passed on the "shoe lover" gene to me. I love browsing through the aisles of shoes, everything from athletic to stilettos and the $10 coupon I get in the mail as a rewards member is really the icing on the cake. The store is always organized, which is amazing considering the inventory they have to keep in stock.They have a ton of shoes on clearance with a range of additional discount that can be applied. I usually don't have luck with the clearance rack (story of my life) but I still look anyways...just in case. DSW also has a wonderful return policy. There has been at least one or two times where I've bought a pair of shoes that ends up being super uncomfortable and they allow me to return it, even if it's been worn. This is a HUGE selling point for me because, in the past, I've bought shoes from other department stores and regardless of comfort level, had to keep them which was a total waste of money in the end. I usually check out the clearance rack first and then browse the neatly lined rows categorized by shoe style. Not much variety with the accessories but for shoes you almost can't beat it. The staff are always so helpful, cheerful and fun. On my last visit Chelsea, Nikki and Meli made my day by helping find the perfect shoes to a dress that I was having difficulty with. If the rows and rows of shoes are overwhelming you can search for what you are looking for online and then find out if it is at your location. All the sales professionals at this location are friendly and they make an effort to keep things cleaned up in the aisles. I usually go in here when I'm looking for something specific. But how I am going to ever find it when I have 1000's of shoes to choose from, and about 300 that actually match my specific description!? Oh boy! This is shoe heaven. Even if you go back to the clearance section, you'll find some discounted brand name shoes that are very reasonably priced. They may just be an older style, but unless your a shoe expert, who knows! I haven't really encountered any friendly employees though, they all seem to be in their own little shoe world. You know when you walk down an aisle and there's an employee there..they'll hopefully ask you if you need help finding anything? Yeah, that doesn't happen here. So I just left this location. I called about 20 mins prior to coming in to see if they had what size I needed in stock. On the phone they seemed very helpful and told me they would put the shoes on hold for me. When I approached the counter they looked at me like I was in the wrong place. "Do you need something?" I responded "yes I called about 15 mins ago about putting the shoes on hold". Looked like the manager says the name of the shoe and I say yes, she turns around and grabs them and just slides them towards me, and walks away. Doesn't tell me "let me know if you need help, anything else I can do for you, etc"....Appalled I go to find a spot to try them on. None of the sizes fit because they failed to tell me the shoe runs small. Not even 2 mins later I walk up to the same counter to ask for some help. The manager is 5 feet away from me staring at me. I'm literally making eye contact with her standing at the counter and she just keep staring. After standing at the counter for literally 5 mins of being started at, a girl comes up to me "ummm did you have a question...?" And was very hesitant to help me out. After I mentioned that it was clearly impossible to get some help around here, she then tried to help me with what I needed. HORRIBLE customer service. Usually I wouldn't get on here and write something like this but I was just so blatantly judged and ignored and made to feel stupid or as if I was in the wrong place. Absolutely awful.
