This review is solely for the upstairs women's department. I have been shopping here for many years and truly enjoy Nordstrom's, but have had horrible customer service with the upstairs women's department mainly the TBD and Topshop area for a long time. I come into this store multiple times a month and every time am treated with the same lacking level of customer service. No one greets me, no one asks if I need assistance with anything, I sometimes have clothes in my hands for over 20 minutes before someone asks me if I want a fitting room and a lot of times I am not even asked that. Then when I go to the checkout they always ask who was helping you, and my response is always the same no one. They then reply with a "I'm so sorry about that", literally every time, but you would think after some time they would change their ways, it doesn't happen. In the past I have voiced my complaints to the manager and nothing ever changes. The lacking customer service happens at very slow times and busy times it really doesn't matter when I go in there, the level of service I receive is awful. On top of that most of the girls working are talking amongst themselves and have bad attitudes when asked for help. I've also noticed that they offer great customer service to older women or women with children, I guess because I am neither that I am completely overlooked. I also voiced this issue to a sales girl while checking out and her reply was "you just sound very angry". I wasn't angry just very frustrated at the lacking level of customer service I receive time and time again. It was such an odd and ruder thing for her to say that I now will no longer shop in the women's department at this location anymore. It's very unfortunate as I love to shop and also worked retail for over 8 years. I am completely understanding of busy times and other circumstances, but to completely overlook customers because they look young or whatever the reason is it's unacceptable. Not to mention I am a Nordstrom's card holder and level 3 who typically comes to most anniversary events and other events throughout the year. My suggestion is go to Galleria if you're looking for excellent customer service and a wider selection. read more

I had a very bad & disappointing experience at Nordstrom sunglasses section, I've been shopping in Nordstrom since ages and never experienced this. Me and my sister were looking at sunglasses and the sales person "Shelley -sunglasses department" not sure if the name is right (she had curly hair with glasses) was there. Three things she said Made our shopping experience embarrassing 1. Right in front of us she mentioned to other sales person that we were taking Quite a long time to shop ,and it was not more than 10 mins and we tried around 5-6 glasses. 2.something was not available and we asked her to check in other stores and on call she said "we were making trouble for little things". Please who ever the store manager is listen to the conversation happened on November 1st 6:00pm. 3.we somehow got the display piece and were ignoring and last thing she asked really embarrassed us " she asked if she should clean the sunglasses or I will clean it myself " ?? Is that even a question to ask a customer . Corona or not it's a basic curtesy to clean sunglasses especially if it's display . I'm a student and I've been on the other side of table and always been polite and cheerful to sales persons ..I feel so embarrassed and I would think twice to go and check out sunglasses next time in Nordstrom. In fear of feeling the same stuff again...PEACE And other most important thing she mentioned was "we asked her to order online the reading glasses as the display ones were little loose, she says even if we order online ,Nordstrom would come to the nearest store clean and ship the Same ones to us " she repeatedly said this is what happens when we order online . It might be true might not be , i'm not sure but it's surprising to know that a sales person not making the online order and forcing to take the display ones instead , because cause Nordstrom would anyway come to that store and pickup those and ship it to us as she said"... we were shocked !!!! Poor people who are not well trained, prejudice, lack of customer service skill, non caring attitude. I purchased with a debit card the day before & returned next day, their employees looked at one another & looked at me & said ' he needs a receipt to return ', they can look up the purchase but assume that I am doing something. Retrain your employees, don't be prejudiced as you don't ask for receipts from everyone. Won't shop there again talked to a mgr but doubt it will change, it is who you hire. read more

My favorite Nordstrom in DFW! They have the very best customer service. Recently, I bought a pair of ray bans (which I love!), but I pulled them out of their case, to find that they had been chipped! They've never been dropped or mishandled so I was disappointed. For 150$ sunglasses the plastic shouldn't chip! I took them into Nordstrom today where Allison and Paula in the sunglass department helped me to exchange them for a new pair. This is the worst Nordstrom I have ever shopped at. The staff is ignorant of the product, surly, and on their phones much of the time. I only go into the store a couple of times per year to buy suits, dress pants, and sport coats as I dread stepping foot inside. I have found a few good staff members who know what the Nordstrom experience should be but they are a small minority. The staff tell you to shop online if you ask any question they cannot answer, my wife was told to go to Youtube when she had a basic cosmetic product application question. Today I was sent all over the store to pick up a sport coat for alterations and was given attitude by everyone as I was disturbing their conversations an interrupting their phone use. The management needs to go to any other store to understand what the brand is about. read more

The MAC counter here is terrible! I have been here multiple times and always have trouble getting someone to assist me. I know exactly what I need and just need them to grab it and ring it up for me but there is never anyone to help with that. I always end up having to go down to Sephora instead. read more

This review is for Ronald at the Childrens department. He has the WORST customer service! Nordstroms normally always has the best emoloyees that are friendly. I was treated so bad by Ronald I was speechless and I am never speechless. I called to speak with Tina the manager at the Childrens dept and she was unavailable. Don't even bother with cosmetic section!! I had the worst experience at the MAC counter today. I was looking at products, but definitely needed some direction. I waited and waited, Making eye contact with multiple "team members". I know they are busy, I was very patient. I finally said, within ear shot, "mam, could you..." she turned her back on me and walked away! Horrible experience in the women's fragrance department!! They stalked me like a hawk. The people were stepping over each other trying to sell. I agree that the vendor was present and bothered me. I tell you, I need to take perfume back I purchased for mom as a gift for mother's day. I am returning them to the North Park or Galleria store. I refuse to go in there and be hounded or eyes rolled at me. I returned a fragrance the same day I purchased it. Came to try out some new foundation at the Tom Ford counter and Khadije M. was the person who helped me. She is no makeup artist nor does she know how to match my skin color. She pretty much just guess the color on me and instead of using a sanitize clean sponge on my face.... she used her dirty fingers to smear the foundation on my face. GROSS! I told her the color is too dark and she try to put another color on my face with her dirty fingers again so I said I am not interested and do not touch my face. She talks too much and was no help! This is my fave Nordstrom...but mainly out of convenience more than anything. Out of ALL the department stores, I love Nordstrom most! First of all their return policy is redic (in a good way of course). I've heard you can return things here YEARS later. Never tried it, personally though. I love the selection here and all of the associates are really friendly and helpful. (In clothing, shoes, cosmetics and jewerlry at least!) My FAVE thing about Nord's though is their Anniversary Sale, which happens to coincide with my birthday. This is no coincidence; It's like a sign from the heavens above that I should gift myself with everything in site. I can't possibly pass up a great deal! Oh, I should mention, you NEED to sign up for their card. Free alterations, (score! designer jeans are always 3 feet too long!) and VIP Pre-shopping access! WORTH IT. read more

I come here way too often, but they have everything I need outside of groceries/toiletries! A variety of the latest clothing styles, shoes, make up, jewelry, and handbags. You can order online...they have curbside pick up. But, most of all, the customer service is top notch. I never have an issue with getting the help I need, especially in make up. I've gotten free facials, which were amazing. And, just today, they gave me the foundation brush they were using on me because I loved it so much (it's discontinued). By the way, that was the Estée Lauder counter...my go to for foundation and primer. Last, sign up for the Nordstrom rewards card, which you can link to your bank account. No credit checking. I use this card every time, and I can't say how many times I've had a $40 or $80 credit to apply to my next purchase. Nordstrom has double points and triple points, so you'll want to shop on those days to increase your points for credits. ETA: I returned eye shadow I used by bringing the Case to them and telling them it's the wrong color. They switched it out for the right color, no receipt or card needed. Didn't even open it to look at it. Not kidding. They are the best in the industry at exchanges and returns. read more

Extremely rude customer service. There are few times I have experienced this kind of rudeness. I have been shopping at this store for a very long time but that might end soon. I cant always afford Nordstrom prices so a lot of times I do usually just look around . I will smell a lot of the fragrances and look at a lot of the mens clothes. Today I was at Nordstrom smelling a lot of the mens fragrances when Stephanie, the mens fragrance associate, told me I was bothering one of the vendors. I actually hadn't said anything to the vendor, she came and said hi to me. I never had any intention of bothering any one and this really hurt my feelings because I am a long time Nordstrom customer.If this thing happens again I might not return to this location. read more

The Nordstrom at Stonebriar is my favorite of all the other Nordstroms in DFW. The sales staff is super friendly and knowledgeable on all the products. I shoo the sale racks mostly but even non sale items are an excellent deal for the quality. I have a Nordstrom debit card so every time I shop I accumulate points toward money back in the store. This helps put a lot since I have a family of 5 to dress. Would highly recommend. read more

I would just like to start out by saying that I have been a dedicated Nordstrom customer from the day I was born. Nearly every member of my family has a Nordstrom card, and it is our prime destination every weekend and a multiple days during the week. So I was so very disappointed today when I encountered the RUDEST employee I have ever dealt with in my entire life: ROBERT P. at the Charlotte Tilbury counter at the Nordstrom at Stonebriar mall. While I have witnessed a slight decline in the quality of the employees in Nordstrom stores in the last couple of years, I draw the line at employees who are downright rude to your face. I came in to shop today, but also had a return at the Charlotte Tilbury. As I walked up the counter, employee Robert barely took the energy to look up and acknowledge me, I had to confront him. I then proceeded to tell him about my return, he didn't even listen but simply grabbed it and walked to the register. As he did what he did on the computer, I pulled out a Nordstrom gift card I had and asked if he could put the balance for the Wonder Glow primer on the gift card instead of back on the Nordstrom card it was originally purchased with. He ignored me and continued to deal with the computer. I repeated my request for him to place the balance on the gift card again, only to have him tell me he can't do it. Which is a straight out lie, considering this is something that is always easily done. At this time I noticed he wouldn't be cooperative, so I kept my mouth shut and let him finish his business. But as he handed my receipt and rudely said that if I wanted it on the gift card I would have to go to customer service and "maybe they could handle it". But this wasn't even the rudest part of the encounter. As I walked away, he shouted after me "I'm sorry you didn't like the magic cream either" in a RUDE, SARCASTIC, and UNPROFESSIONAL tone. He was implying to me that he noticed on the transaction history that I had also returned the Charlotte Tilbury magic cream. To which I can only say, my skin, being as sensitive as it is, reacted poorly to. But perhaps something that he didn't notice, is that I kept everything else on the over 500 dollars transaction. A fact I shouldn't even have to mention. I should never have to defend or justify myself to an employee in fear of judgement or criticism. To Nordstrom, I would just like to say, it is employees like Robert P. that are hurting your brand and the amazing customer service that you are always known for. I was honestly so hurt and offended by his actions today. And I would just like to mention that if you take one look any member of my family's purchase history with Nordstrom, you'll know that we are dedicated customers, yet it is incompetent, lazy, and RUDE employees like Robert P. that are driving lifelong customers away, like myself. I don't think I will be taking my business to Stonebriar Nordstrom ever again. I'll stick to my regulars at Northpark and Galleria, where they know how to handle customers with class, dignity, and basic human respect. read more

For a company that prides themselves in customer service my last couple of visits have been less than pleasant. When I went to purchase $200 Tory Burch sandals I was not greeted once and I because I was not offered any help had to scan the whole shoe department looking for the Tory Burch selection. When I finally found the sandals I was searching for it took the young man close to ten minutes to grab the sandals from the back. To continue, when I went to the Mac counter to look at lipsticks there where two girls organizing the lipsticks and didn't even acknowledge I was standing there trying to look at them. I decided to head upstairs to the Mac area and finally found the color I was looking for but the area was completely deserted and no one was in sight to help me. Not only is this awful customer service but I just hope no one swipes their products! There where some girls standing at the cash registers diagonally in the clothes department and just looked at me and did not offer any help at all. Very upset by the service at Nordstrom lately and if it wasn't the only convent place to purchase the things I need I would not go back. read more

I have been to Nordstrom department stores all over the country and this was not the experience or standard I was expecting. I went to do some Christmas shopping Sunday afternoon in this location and was met with no crowd. I was glad, at first. Then when I entered the cosmetics section I had to ask where the Estee Lauder counter was and waited until someone finally noticed us. When she did come over she was pleasant, but didn't ask what size of perfume I would like and just sold me the largest bottle they carry in that fragrance! I immediately went back to the counter as this is not normal, usually I am sold the smallest bottle unless I ask for a larger size. I had to wait again for a while, and even asked the Nars counter if they could help me. Apparently that was the wrong thing to do as the Nars rep told me she does NOT work for Nordstrom. There was no one at the Nars counter so I wondered if she could find the lady who does "work for Nordstrom," but no. Finally the lady comes back and when I ask her for a smaller size of perfume, she says they are out. So, I tell her I must return the perfume then and magically she looks and finds a smaller ounce bottle of fragrance I want to purchase! I used to depend on Norstrom for their professionalism and courtesy for an enjoyable shopping experience. Apparently this is not the standard for their shoppers anymore. I will simply take my business to Dillard's or Macy's from now on. Its amazing to me that San Antonio's Nordstrom stores are nicer than DFW. Wow, just wow! read more

One of my favorite Nordstrom is this Stonebriar location. It's smaller than some others but they carry a lot of desired merchandise. It you're in need of an item not in store they will quickly locate it for you elsewhere. Watch out when you return items! Double check the card the returns are going back on. I returned over $500 worth of items. ALL purchased on my Nordstrom Visa. The sale clerk asked if I wanted the return back on the CC of original purchase. I said yes. NO CARDS were exchanged. Come to find out the return was put on a Nordstrom Debit Card that was NOT mine. It has been 4 Weeks and yet they still have not cleared it up and returned the amount onto MY CARD (original form of payment). I have called every day this past 2 weeks and only get a VM in the dispute department. Nobody else can help me (they say) It was probably the store associates Debit card and thought I would never keep my receipt and double check my statement. read more

I haven't shopped here for about two years. Usually go to Neimans or Culwell. Bought two pair of men's dress slacks. I am pretty specific on how I want the length of my pants and if I by a pair that I need to pay to have altered I bring them to my Asian tailor and have no problem. Nordstrom does do free alterations on length so I left them there. They told me a week and they would be ready, and they would call me to tell me when they were ready. Two weeks pass....no call. Then I get a "reminder" call my pants were ready. I go in and they are at least 3 inches too long. The tailor marks them again, I wore my dress shoes both times, and they tell me four days and they will be ready. They call this time to tell me they are ready, and I go back to pick them up. The guy can't find them in the back where they keep the finished alterations so he goes up to the tailor room and finds them there. It is obvious one pair has not been touched. I explain that now I have to come back a fourth time and ask for some kind of discount or gift certificate for my time. He offers me a free lunch in their cafe in the mall. I laugh. He offers to mail them to me. I tell him I can't trust that they will be done correctly. So, three days later I come back and after four trips, they are done correctly. Question: what happened to that great Nordstrom customer service I would hear about in customer service seminars?? read more

The most terrible experience of my life this older women in the teen and young adult section with black shoulder length hair harassed me . First of she ask for the jacket I was holding because "another customer wanted it " when there was barley anyone in the store that is absolutely terrible service then proceeded to almost make me give it to her I felt super pressured and awkward to give her the jacket so I did . Then as me and my friend are walking in the dressing room she yanked the clothes my friend was holding out of her hand and preceded to take 10 mins to hang up the clothes while giving both me and especially my Mexican friend a look like I cannot Explain the look on this women's face it was complete discussed on her face no way to look at a customer. Then went and gave my jacket to someone else that she practically Forced me too give her. Minutes after we just left all the clothes and decided to just leave Because we could not believe how we had just been treated. Please let me know what you think. read more
