NG is a nice eatery to get a bite to eat while shopping. It has a small menu but includes any of your savory pleasures. It's located on the 3rd floor of Nordstrom in Roosevelt Field. The food and the service is top ten!!! If you want a quick bite they have something on the menu for everyone. Although they removed the jerk wings I will still come back. They should bring them back and get rid of the Korean they are not my favorite or the three other people I brought to try. I do know food! The soup and salad options are exceptional. I think for the mall offerings it is a better deal than going to a crowded food court. I suggest getting their spinach dip, the bread it comes with is so good! Their happy hour deals are great. You can get the nordstrom burger with fries for only $10 during their happy hour, but when it's not happy hour its less than $17, so still cheaper than getting some food options in the food court. So definitely a steal, while being able to be in a quieter and secluded setting. Sometimes the service can be a bit slow, so it's not the type of place to go to if you're in a rush. read more

The food here is amazing. I have tried the mac & cheese and the salmon, and those are by far one of the two best dishes. They are also the most popular dishes. The prices for each dish is it like the teens. They also have a full bar if you wanna order any drinks. The waitresses are very kind, and if you wanted to start a conversation with them, they would surely chat along. The store itself very cute the store it looks like it's old fashion, but everything there is modern. The benches are cute. They have chairs and couches. They also have one big circle of a couch so you can have a family gathering if you wanted to. Not many people know about the store because it's in a corner in Northstorm. They recently refurbished and redid the menu Last night I had the special soup which was chicken tortilla and it was thick, mildly spicy and came with a few pieces of avocado on top with thinly cut tortilla chips. Amazing. Wish I can say the same for the brisket sliders. Bun wasn't good- too bready and the meat was overly salty. Stopped in hoping to get my favorite, on the Sixth and Pine menu. To my surprise, it is now called Nordstrom Grill. I asked the hostess if the menu had changed, she replied yes and offered to show me the new menu. I was famished and declined. I figured I could find something new to try. My server, Jennifer, greeted me with a welcoming smile. I ordered the La Marca wine to begin. I decided to try the French Onion soup and mixed salad. The soup was excellent although, it was served lukewarm. I like my foods, esp. soups, piping hot! The salad was average, the lime/cilantro dressing..superb. All in all, a wonderful experience. After several hours of shopping. We stopped in the grill for lunch .. we were greeted graciously by a young lady.. customer service is top notch.. there are tables, booths and a full bar! The Nordstrom restaurant really needs to up their customer service and seriously improve their waitstaff and their over all handling of customers. I went in yesterday with a coworker for lunch/meeting. the menu was small and there were no vegetarian items except one. there was no kids menu that I saw either. I ordered a grilled cheese sandwich with french fries. the waitress I believe she said her name was Sarah? She did not ask me what kind of cheese what, kind of bread. She wasn't very helpful it seemed like I had to pull things out of her as far as questions. I also had to stop her to tell her as she was walking away as what kind of cheese I wanted. Thank goodness I did because she was going to bring something else. The place looked clean but the kitchen and the kitchen area where the wait staff are Was extremely loud with gossip going on. I heard everything that the waitstaff were saying about other people and each other it with awful! I asked for an iced tea and it was a small glass over filled with ice so I could not stir sugar in it and ice ice fell over. (Awkward) she never asked me if I wanted a refill after she saw it was empty when my lunch arrived there was about 10 small french fries with the grilled cheese I asked her if this was typical and she said that's off the kids menu. really! I never even see a kids menu, and I found it pretty rude that she would not tell me that she was giving me something off the kids menu. When the plate arrived with the grilled cheese and french fries the plate looked dirty with fingerprints all around it and I thought it was bad that there was no care taken to wipe edge of the plate before being taken out. Even Diner do that. I thought it was gross. But being that I was with my boss I did not want to say or do anything. I also had to ask twice for napkins and she did not bring the cutlery until the food arrived. So my hands were wet the table was wet from the tea having too much ice in it and spilling over. I then ordered a full order of fries and proceeded to wait 20 minutes for them! I never saw her again so I couldn't cancel the order. when they did arrived she was like "oh sorry" I looked at her and right away she said "you want me to take them back?" I can take them back. it was really uncomfortable, Awkward and weird! Not to mention hungry. I'm assuming she forgot to put the order in. during the whole meal she came up one time to ask if everything was OK, I never saw her again not even at other tables so I wouldn't have been able to flag her down to ask for more tea or where my french fries were. And never mind coffee or dessert. I also witnessed two other waiters that had very bizarre behavior on how they served. There was a lot of waitstaff and the place was half full and fairly busy but it would not excuse that Horrendous service that I got! The Portions are small and the prices are high. Sat at the bar with my daughter who's home from college for the weekend (she had a coke). The bartender, Mel made an excellent cocktail, Vine Street. I'm pretty much a weekly customer now. Their food is amazing , customer service is great. I dont know where the bad reviews are coming from. Every appetizer, entree and dessert was great. As for the stolen credit card ...I wouldn't rate them 1 star for your credit card being stolen. It's not like they knew it was stolen or used it themselves. I'm only saying that because a few years back, the waiter by accident didnt give me my debit/Visa card back and I noticed a few days later that I didnt have it on me. However what I am rating is the service. I can't say that it was excellent. Our waitress didn't read us the specials or anything of the sorts. The tables that filled up behind us and in front got a full menu read. They sounded pretty good actually. She took a while to get back to us. We had to reach over to get our own utensils from another clean table. Even though the place wasn't that busy perhaps not her day. Haven't been here since it was Sixth & Pine so I had a lot of catching up to do. The menu and the bar area are the biggest difference you'll notice if you've ever journeyed to the At Home & Lingerie section on the third floor of Nordstrom. As a single diner, I sat at the bar; however, with their lack of a host, most people that arrived were confused as to whether they should wait or keep asking if they should seat themselves The overhaul at the bar includes full liquor (instead of just beer & wine), new display shelves, and a muted TV on sports (and sports only as I've been told). The menu has a few items from it's predecessor, but it's mostly new additions. My server, Juanito, was personable & went over specials and recommendations. I went with the Chicken Burger which turned out to be a great choice. Not sure what sauce that was with the fries, but it was bland. Ketchup would've been a more flavorful option. All in all, the Grill seems like a decent upgrade after their renovations earlier this year. read more

I was out with my wife yesterday and we decided to dine at Nordstrom Grill in Roosevelt Field, I usually do not eat in malls but my wife always tells me how good this place is, she frequents there. I hope no one takes this the wrong way but I expected more. its a nice casual place in Nordstrom. But I noticed that there was only 1 white , male server. All of the servers were not white, all ethnic, mostly girls who didn't smile or seem happy to be there and seem young and caddy. For such a high end department store , shouldn't workers have a smile on their face and nice attitudes? The food was delicious just like my wife raves about. But for service, I probably will never go there again. and if so, I'd like to see some white servers who smile like the only one who was there. read more

I made eye contact with several waitresses and still no one came. Another waiter was told by the waitress to come off his break to serve us. This waitress chose not serve us. As I am in my last trimester I asked for well done and I got pure pink meat. Also had to ask for utensils. Really unacceptable to be treated like this in any establishment you choose to dine in. Doesn't matter if this employee was hired recently or not. No excuse for poor service. Please take yourself and your family elsewhere to dine. My friend and I came here after a long day of holiday shopping to have a glass of wine and something to munch on. The waitress obviously hates life, and it was all over her face and attitude. We ordered 2 glasses of wine, a New England clam chowder, fries to share, and a plate of pasta and tomato sauce off the kids menu for her 4 year old daughter. The wine was fine as i was familiar with which wine we had ordered, but the food was not. The fries were obviously straight out of a bag of frozen grocery stores with rosemary thrown on it. The soup was definitely canned and had so much sand, my friend only took a few bites. The pasta with tomato sauce was so dry and crusty. I didn't know it was possible to mess up boiling pasta and throwing sauce on it, but they somehow managed to. Everything came out to $40! Save your money and just go to the food court unless you want reheated food served by waitresses who have given up on life. read more

I'll start by saying that I normally love this place for a nice lunch with the kids after shopping. My final visit was on 10/28. Stopped in around 3pm for lunch with my son. We were seated near the area where food is placed under heating lamps before it is taken to the customer. I saw the arm of the hostess reach into a plate and take a French fry. I waited to see if it was actually her plate hidden from customer view but no, a few minutes later she took the same plate and another plate to a table of unsuspecting diners. I called her over and asked if she did what I saw. She denied it and told me that she was eating grapes. So coincidental that she's eating grapes after I saw her help herself to someone's fries. I've been here a few times & they are pretty consistent in that their service always seems to be harried (scheduling perhaps?). The wait staff is always friendly, but they seem to never have enough people on the floor. The food is not inexpensive, I had the ale battered onion rings $6.95, which were good & the cilantro shrimp, also decent, that had very few shrimp, $16.95. I had a glass of sauvignon blanc, which, my fault for not asking, was a whopping $14 a glass! Portions are on the smaller side. There was a person running around to various tables, couldn't figure out her reasoning for selecting these specific tables, but she could have been more help in assisting her waitstaff, who seemed to be in the weeds. I was surprised to know she was the restaurant manager as she was dressed in a pair of jeans, sneakers & an unironed shirt, not what you would expect of a manager. Been here a few times over the years. They changed names a few times, first they were called Nordstrom Cafe, Six and Pine, and now Nordstrom Grill however, the food hasn't changed much. The staff are always friendly and attentive and the food is always delicious and not too pricey considering its inside a high end department store. I placed an order on the phone, when I came to pick it up they couldn't find my order(I was on my lunch break) finally after 5 minutes it was found. After receiving my food, I was given the wrong salad and was also charged for it, this salad was made very sloppy some of the cherry tomatoes were cut and some weren't. The manager, Lindsey was very kind and generous when she came over and made sure everything was perfect. Such a sweet heart.
