My husband and I have been here twice and loved it each time. It's the perfect place to hangout while our teens shop in the mall. We have a drink and share an appetizer while they spend our money lol. It's perfect. The food/drinks are on the pricier side, but we understood that going in. I did think the pricing was a little high, given the atmosphere of being a somewhat old school cafe within a department store. So that was my only "ding" on the experience. Came here on a Saturday afternoon and it was pretty nice. They served us really quickly and checked in on us quite a bit. Me and my friend got the cilantro and lime chicken tacos as an appetizer and they were amazing, I would strongly recommend ordering them. We also decided to split a french dip, and they actually brought it out for us split onto 2 seperate places which I found to be very thoughtful. You get to shop and eat at the same location without the hassle. That's a big thumbs up! During Saturday lunch hours, the Cheese Cake Factory had 40 min wait and I didn't want to deal with hangryness. Well, this place had a wait list also but didn't mind filling the gap with browsing the children's clothing area nearby. As lunch rush was ending , got the seat by the window with view of the west and the parking lot. So many cars and so many people today. The French onion soup was very good, calamari not so but for the price, I will give 4 stars. The Alderwood salmon and pear was excellent. One of the best salad had. Definitely worth the $21 tag. Sorry. Forgot to take the photo. Take away: Come back for the salad and soup. Skip the wine. The restaurant itself is dying for some updates. The booth seating was flacking off. They had lot of employees for the amount of seating. Not running efficiently. Don't get me wrong but Karen, our server was excellent. Favorite casual restaurant in Denver. If anyone asks me, "What do you feel like doing for dinner?" And I don't want to think about it; we always end up at Nordstrom Grill. We consider ourselves to have high standards when it comes to restaurants. Nordstrom Grill checks off all of the primary boxes. Good service. Good food that's always consistent, a reasonable price, and now that they've done some remodel, a pleasant ambiance. The menu isn't huge, but it has variety that most people will find something they like. The French dip is fantastic, one of my favorites in Denver. (It sounds weird to say, but it's true.) Third floor of Nordstrom's is one of my favorite places to go! Great little restaurant to get a great appetizer or a shopping libation. The servers are always so nice and my expectation every time has been met or exceeded. For my kiddos they love the bruschetta and a cookie afterwards and myself usually go for calamari and a cup of crab bisque. Of course a nice mom drink with an umbrella. Pretty pricey but a nice spot for lunch while out shopping. My husband and I had never seen a restaurant in a Nordstrom before moving to the area, so we were pretty excited to eat here, but we seemed to always be too late. They close at 5 or 6 p.m. Out shopping one afternoon, we finally made it in for a late lunch. The service is excellent, very friendly and attentive and that went for the entire staff, not just our server. I didn't get any cocktails, but they have a decent list, so maybe next time. My husband and I shared the spinach artichoke dip, which was tasty but very rich. For my entrée, I chose the halibut and chips, and my husband got the French dip. He liked his sandwich and chose a salad for the side, but overall, I think he felt it was a bit overpriced. My fish and chips were great. The coleslaw that came alongside was light, and the bread-and-butter pickles were tasty too. Next time, we'll come for brunch or maybe order an appetizer or soup and split an entrée. This is a really nice lunch spot, but we would probably only reserve it for a special outing, because it is a bit spendy for what you get. For an appetizer, two meals, and one iced tea, we spent close to $80 with tip. read more

Me and The Hubs were in the mall running an errand just before lunch time the other day. After pondering what to do about lunch, we decided to eat here since we were sitting just outside the store at the time. I have read reviews in the past about how good the food is here, so it was on my radar anyway. In a nutshell, I was blown away by how good the food and service was . I started with a cup of the Crab Bisque, and The Hubs started with a cup of the soup of the day (which was chicken-tomatillo with hominy and vegetables). The bisque was luscious and delicious (don't order the bowl unless you're sharing it with someone - it's incredibly rich). The Hubs said the chicken soup was really good (I didn't taste it, but it looked great - brothy with lots of chicken and veg). We both ordered the Green Goddess Salad (farro, quinoa, hard-cooked egg, baby spinach, avocado, pickled red onion, cucumber, daikon, herb salad) with Alderwood Wild Salmon as our entree. Fabulous! The salad was perfectly balance and delicious. With the farro and quinoa, it was also very filling. And the salmon was delicious and cooked perfectly). Also our server was great. We were never out of water or iced tea, plus she was very friendly. This may have been our first time here, but it definitely won't be our last. It was such a good meal, that even if we're not going to be at the mall, I'd make an effort to come here again anyway! I ordered an Amelia and it came with a salt rim instead of sugar, ick! But they took it back and re made it. Our server was good, but her service was kind of slow. A friend and his wife wanted to get together and suggested Nordstrom Grill. My husband was skeptical, because what does a department store know about food? I saw French Onion Soup and was immediately sold. I did not end up having the French Onion Soup. I did have the Steak Frites, and I have zero regrets. I love pepper so the peppercorn sauce was tops for me. It might be too peppery for some, though. The potatoes we very tasty, as well. My husband had the Halibut & Chips. He said they were good, but being a fish and chips lover, he said they weren't the best. Our friends had the Crab Spaghetti (which seems like a strange combo to me) and Halibut & Chips. The Crab Spaghetti must have been good, every but was gone, but the same feedback was given about the Halibut & Chips, "Okay, but not the best." We all shared the White Chocolate Bread Pudding. It was... okay. My husband and our friends liked it, but I was looking for something that really moved me, which only happened once for me. This was not it. Our server was very sweet and helpful. My bestie took me to Nordstrom's Grill for a belated birthday lunch. We used to eat at the Nordstrom's Grill together 30 years prior while going to cosmetology school at the Topanga Plaza in California. I remember how good it was for lunch then and was very impressed with the food. We both had the Chili lime Cilantro Shrimp salad. It was just perfect and very delicious. The dressing was light and tangy and the thinly sliced tortilla chips on top added to the many flavors with a bit of crunch. The dining area was cozy and reminded me of a old Hollywood diner with all the black and white portraits on the walls of movie stars and famous places. I do have an issue almost every time I get my food though. I have dietary restrictions and the waiter always does a good job verifying my specific requests, but big or small, it almost always comes out incorrect. Also, I really enjoy the burger, but it's not a $16 burger. read more

ONLY PLACE I EAT WHEN I'M HERE... All of the Nordstrom across the country have some type of restaurant inside the store. I have been to the one in Cherry Creek Shopping Mall which has a different concept to the one in Park Meadows. This use to be called Sixth & Pine but they changed the name to Nordstrom Grill. Depending on when you come, this place can be very very busy with a wait or if you're lucky, there is no wait at all. I have noticed that Nordstrom Grill has been updating their menu. Adding new items. What I really like is they always have specials going on. The 'soup of the day' does change frequently but there is always Tomato Soup and French Onion Soup. I highly recommend ordering the CHICKEN POT PIE SOUP when it's the 'soup of the day'. It's creamy but sooo good. I usually order the Flat Iron Steak Frites- '10 ounce flat iron steak, herb butter, organic arugula salad, french fries with kalamata olive aïoli'.. I get my steak cooked medium rare & substitute Sweet Potato Fries! The only thing is the service is a hit or miss here. It is slow at times.. not sure why so don't expect too much. I noticed when I come in by myself or with my family.. the service can be great or just bad. Maybe it's cause we're Asian & look like we would tip bad...? Either way I always tip 18%-20% unless the service is really really bad. Overall, I still come back because of the good food! read more

This is a good place to eat if you are debating between the food court and a restaurant. I thought the food was okay. I highly recommend the bruschetta. I had the salmon with risotto for dinner. The salmon was VERY dry. Even with all the sauce from the risotto, it was still not good. We had a Riesling for wine, and it was decent. Honestly, there are better places in the food court than this place. We went for a birthday and it was okay. We had a large party, around 10, and reservations were made for 7:45pm. The store closes at 9pm, so they close the restaurant at 9pm as well. I think they should stop reservations around 7pm, so they don't rush you at the end. I felt we were rushed out, and the food was not good, so I don't recommend this restaurant. I won't be returning. I love the store though! read more

Ordered Chicken chitarra pasta dish, after an oretty long wait for our linch the food came out cold. Literally all of the pasta was cold. We tild our waitress and she zipped it back to the kitchen where they did some half ass warming attempt but the pasta was still luke warm, though the plate was dangerously hot. For a $20 lunch entree , this is unacceptable. Not coming back , Nordstrom cafes in California are on point , this one in Lone Tree is sub par and I would spend your money on food that is not left sitting so long that they have to try to reheat it in the first place. Most of the time this place is pretty good. I always have gone there for lunch. Had dinner there today and was disappointed. Ordered off the specials menu, got the swordfish salad. Nordstrom's cafe has always been a little more expensive then other places but always worth it. The portion size is usually pretty good however my dish was surprisingly small today. Had to send the fish back because it was completely raw in the middle. My son ordered buttered noodles off the kids menu and they tasted of grease. Also had to remind the waitress about the fruit that comes with the kids meal. But the worst part is My husband ordered the French dip and has spent the night vomiting. This is a complaint based just on service and atmosphere of the restaurant. I had dinner here yesterday and the food was excellent! Now, onto the bad- our server took about 5-7 minutes to come around and get our drink orders. The restaurant was not busy, maybe about 7-10 tables with two servers and a food runner. We placed our cocktail and food orders, the cocktails came out quickly and were very good. No bread, no refills on water-nothing. My boyfriend had to wave her down to get more water and order another drink. We were seated next to the computer and I could hear our server YELLING (something about learning to use the new computer system) at her manager. The manager didn't correct her or take her to a more private location. Then, another employee who was off showed up for training in her pajamas! Dirty Ugg boots, stained gray sweatpants and an over-sized faded blue zip up hoodie (ew). My food came out and was delicious, but I'm out of water and would like another glass of white wine. Place both empty glasses on the edge of the table-again, nothing, keep in mind that both her and her manager are right behind me. Finally she comes around and asked if I'd like another glass, yes please. Places my wine order and continues to go back and argue with the manager. TEN minutes go by, I'm done and ready to leave. When my boyfriend cancels my wine order she says "Are you sure? It's just sitting up at the bar...." Paid our check and left. I really hope that Nordstrom does improve this location. read more

My fiance and I had a GREAT experience here. Austin was our bartender and we came for happy hour. He was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable which is hard to find these days in my opinion. I have always had a great experience here , unfortunately yesterday was different. I had ordered a chicken salad and when I went to cut in to my last few bites of chicken it was raw. I have unfortunately been sick right after this incident three days before my wedding so I'm hoping to get better quickly.
