I can't speak for some of these reviews in here because we've always had a wonderful experience. Honestly the 1-2 star reviews sound like a bunch of snobs because I genuinely can't believe some of the things they're saying. The food here is so good that everytime we come to the mall, we make it a point to have lunch here. You absolutely have to try the French dip sandwich. I think that's one of the best menu items. We've pretty much tried everything on the menu, but that's a staple for us. Also love the burger here. Juicy and a lot of flavor. Shrimp caesar salad is also a must! The truffle fries are always a great addition if you get one of those items. I'm going free for the next few months so I did get the French dip without the baguette today and it was still delicious. Service was great, the cooks are so friendly, and both are great at their jobs. Another thing I will say is it's a very relaxing place to have lunch. There's not blaring music, you have a nice view of outside. Very cozy and comfortable. If you're stumped on where to have lunch, or dinner definitely try this place out! read more

It's super fun and convenient having a full scale restaurant in your workplace especially when you work at a mall where the food court options get really old very fast. Add in your employee discount and it's a win win situation. Putting my obvious bias into aside however, I would still have no problem recommending Nordstrom Grill because they are turning out some top notch tasty dishes. With a menu range to suit a variety of tastes, they have everything from soups and salads to full on entrees that feature salmon and prime rib. I went with the crispy chicken sandwich for lunch the other day and could have easily devoured two of those tasty little treats. The chicken was indeed crispy, then brushed with a tangy chipotle sauce and topped with an apple and red onion slaw. Delish! read more

I must have been there on a bad day. Where do I start? Walk in Hostess is not at front. Does not seem friendly seats us. Place is half empty. Tables left dirty all astound us. I am a man who is understanding and try's to communicate my needs. So we sit down. I explain up front that we wish to place our whole order. I even explained we are trying to eat and make a movie. We order drinks no straws. We order soup. 15 minutes goes by waitress passes 8 times. I have to ask are we getting the soup soon? She brings it. Brings the meal 3 minutes after. I hate that. My daughter asked for a hamburger.?they don't have any. It is a very limited menu maybe 30 lines? really? I explain again we are trying to make a movie can we get the check. That takes 15 minutes. Once I have it ready the waitress proceeds to start clearing tables. Now I'm getting pissed. The ringer was. A couple with 2 kids cane in behind us. Got seated and served before us. I don't get it. It's a shame the food was good. It takes a lot for me to give a bad tip or a bad review. My reviews are honest. 85% of them are favorable....... I will not be back my money is green. I can eat anywhere.... For the same $70.00 I could have eaten at the Deerfield Country Club or a good steak house. read more

The hubby was shocked to learn that Nordstrom has its own restaurant. Having been introduced to Nordstrom Grill way back in my high school days, I could always count on it to be a welcome respite to the much more chaotic food court. This one is no different. Classy dining with polite staff and an open kitchen where you could watch your food being prepared. Price is at a premium because of the environment. The food is average to above average - the salmon salad was yummy, but everything else was just ok. Nevertheless, for mall food it is a solid option. read more

Nice to have upscale alternative to mall food court. Hostess was not accommodating when we asked to be seated on window side of restaurant - flat out just said no (and seated next customer after us on window side). Server was very friendly and attentive. Decent selection of wine and cocktails. Crab soup was significantly over-salted. Caesar salad had a sour tasting dressing which was not appetizing and the piece of salmon on top was overdone and hard. Overall disappointing and my elderly mother said it was worst lunch she has had (especially for $80 for two people). Not sure if we will return soon. read more

When traveling the area for business I normally stop here for the Salmon & Spinach salad. Have loved for the past 12 or so visits but lately I feel like the salmon is on the old side and over cooked. Service has also taken a nose dive. Disappointed- will be shopping only at Nordstrom and noshing elsewhere. read more

My fiancé & I stopped in for a late dinner after hearing someone else rave about the food. This place is a lot nicer than what the available photos show. The word I would use is classy. I liked how the kitchen was open to the restaurant so you can see the chefs cooking your meal. We were greeted by a friendly host & seated immediately. The menu is rather small but found many options that I wanted to try. They also had a monthly special menu that had seasonal apps, dinners, dessert and a drink. My fiancé ordered some kind of cranberry cocktail (sorry I can't remember the name but it was on the menu) and it was balanced just right. Our waitress, Ashley, was very bubbly and friendly (even for being at the end of her shift) promptly took our food order. I ordered the chicken angle hair pasta. Comes with mushrooms, but I am not a mushroom fan so I had them hold that. The chicken was topped with a flavorful chunky tomato sauce with lots of garlic & sautéed spinach. The pasta was topped with a basil cream sauce which I then stirred both the sauces together. I absolutely devoured every little bit of it. My fiancé had the special of the month, chicken with a tomatillo cream sauce over linguini. I tried his and I will get that next time since it is only a monthly special. He also devoured every last bite. I love to order dessert so we got the pumpkin crème brulee which is also on the seasonal special menu. I am not the biggest fan of pumpkin or crème brulee but this was simply divine. Everything tasted fresh and made-from scratch. I have been to other restaurants at the mall but this one is by far the best, from the classy atmosphere to the quality of the food to the friendly service. We will definitely be back soon so I can get the special pasta dish (I will post photos next time). FYI - I perused other postings & noticed a post from someone whom was ignorant of DE State Liquor laws posted a bad review because they were denied wine since it was 15 min before closing. This person also ranted that the staff were "rude" & "obnoxious" for refusing to serve her wine and that they law management was quoting was "wrong". Well, that poster was wrong. Title 4 Section 727 of DE State Liquor laws prohibits the sale of alcohol 15 min prior to a restaurant or bar closing. It's unfair of poster to give a negative review based on their ignorance of the laws in DE. A restaurant or bar is not going to put their license on the line for one glass of wine. read more

Avg food, terrible service. The so called manager, (male slender build with beard), informed me that it was Delaware state law that he could not serve me a glass of wine because it was 15 min before closing. I arrived at 8:15 and after looking over the menu I ordered at 8:30pm, this is when the rude and obnoxious manager quoted the state law which I know is not accurate, it's a mall restaurant and I have been here on numerous occasions in the past. I guess he is taking his frustrations out on me. In the future dont bother coming here just go to Brio who would more than likely treat you like they want you to return. The waitress also had a horrible attitude. If they don't want customers st 8:15. They should close at 8. Will not be back read more

Solid four stars! Quiet, tucked away, delicious fresh food, and kind to my toddler. My family had a great experience here and we will not hesitate to make this our regular mall restaurant stop whenever we shop at Christiana. The service was slightly slow and leisurely, but the food came out fresh and hot so we were thrilled. read more

Came during recent trip to the mall. Party of 4 (2 were kids). We had a great meal. Everyone enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Our waitress was excellent. We will be back. As others have said this is a true gem at Christiana Mall. A limited menu but what they have they do very well. I prefer this over a sprawling menu where everything is mediocre. Best burger at the mall hands down. French dip is tender, very flavorful, and the roll is just right. I have been there once for lunch and it's head and shoulders above the other chain restaurants. Wait staff was very professional and courteous. And whomever runs the kitchen knows exactly what they are doing. It's like a mini Harry's Savoy Grill. Will be going back very soon..... read more

I'd been to this restaurant a few times. During my most recent visit last week, I discovered that Sixth & Pine has now be re-branded as Nordstrom Grill. I'm not sure what brought about the change, but I don't think it was necessary. A few items that were on the menu are gone now and it seems that the recipe/quantity for some of the remaining items has changed. The side serving of fries is smaller now and they're now sprinkled with a parsley topping they didn't need. My favorite item to order has always been the French dip. It used to be very flavorful and satisfying but tastes very bland now and comes with an odd ketchup dipping sauce instead of the spicy honey mustard sauce it was served with before (and when I requested the sauce, I was told the restaurant didn't have any.) New diners may still like this place. It's quiet, hidden away from the chaos of the rest of the mall, and never crowded. But I preferred the menu of Sixth and Pine. read more
