I'm a NORDSTROM addict and I've been for years. I'm just truly amazed by their customer service and I have not had a bad experience. I love that they pay attention to the type of things that you like and help you get the perfect gifts for people. I just love love their holiday parties and their amazing sales that they have. This review is strictly for the Wedding Suite! Where do I start? The awesome staff? The beautiful gowns? Let's just say my experience there was fantastic. When I called to make an appointment (which you do need) I talked to the manager, Danielle, and she asked me all sorts of questions that described what I was looking for, sizes, styles, etc. When I arrived it was an absolute breeze. Having never seen me before and just going off our phone call, she had five gowns already pulled with shoes in my size to match. I kid-you-not, I walked into the dressing room that had all sorts of amazingness waiting for me and "the dress" was there. I pointed to that one, tried it on first and the rest is history. The staff was extremely helpful and energetic. They made you feel very special and you didn't even have to lift a finger. Bonus points: they will hold the dress there until you are ready for alterations and/or pick-up. They will also help with the groom, MOH, MOB, bridesmaids, you name it. Kudos to Nordstrom's Wedding Suite for being so awesome. :) read more

Horrible customer service especially during Covid. I've placed over 5 orders. I've received most- none of the tracking info is kept up to date and I've called 888-282-6060 and spent a total of 3 hours waiting to be answered. So far I've received no resolution to my missing package although I've been charged- they have turned off the chat option so I can't reach anyone online. What a bogus fraud. read more

I love Nordstrom. Everytime I come here, everyone is always so helpful and nice. All the sales people are kind and I never experienced dealing with a snobby sales person. (which I'm glad) The reason I come here more often than coming to saks or neiman sometimes is because the employees are never pushy or annoying. They will let you be and if they see that you need help, that's when they come in and ask you if you need anything. I think that's how it's suppose to be. It's a bit annoying when you're still looking and someone offers you something to try on when it really isn't something you would like or even your style and taste. They both carry affordable and pricey merchandise but I must say, all of what they carry are high quality products. I love how the ambiance is always so calm and peaceful. My favorite is when I go during the weekend and there's a person playing the piano on the first floor. The store is very clean and organize. Their restrooms are always clean and the whole store itself gives you that comfort/welcome feeling all the time. The only reason I give it a 4 star is because they don't always have alot of the things that I am looking for, and that's when Neiman and Saks takes place :) read more

Nordstrom.com is amazing, but why can't their store be just as good? There is just something about their in store selection that doesn't wow me. Maybe it's how it is organized but rarely will I buy clothing at the store. However, the shoes are a completely different situation. I can't seem to stay away from the shoe section. The men's clothing section is fantastic. I'm always able to find a great outfit for my significant other :) Thankfully they are updating the beauty department. Just finished a personal stylist appointment with Renata and it was better than a Dream Come True! She was beyond professional, listened clearly to all of the specified preferences, and was patient when some things didn't work. Nordstrom is one of my favorite shopping malls. There are tons of clothing with new styles for men & women, even children, although lots of their things are very expensive, for example, a wind-coat could be $300-2000. Have a lot of choices, beautiful, impressive with new fashion styles. If you don't have time to go to their store physically, you can browse stuff online and order them online. Some of the clothing are not in the store, they can be ordered only online. For example, recently I ordered several sets of sleeping clothing sets for both me & my husband, which are 100% cotton, very fine. The order came on time, and the quality is as good as it says online. Perfect order, which I did not see in the store. I would recommend this store for clothing. read more

I was frantically looking for this dress for my bridal shower this weekend. Britney went out of her way to call other Nordstroms to find this dress for me (instead of telling me to go find it myself as any other person would have). She called me back ASAP and told me that she had found my dress and can have it shipped out to me ASAP. She knew how much this dress meant to me and I am soooo grateful for her service. I have very dry skin and allergies, she actually listened to my request and her suggestions have made a world of difference. I love Bobbie Brown and will only buy from Pamela at Nordstroms. I usually LOVE Nordstrom...and the ladies from Kendra Scott who were there in the KS jewelry section were a lot of help!!! Love the KS family...but the guy who actually checked me out...he didn't give me my change!! And I know that he knew I wanted change back because I paid in cash [after I used a gift card] but gave him the exact amount in coins so that I can get bills back as change instead of coins... another this that sucked was that I didn't get my earrings in the gift box. Nordstrom. Very nice store with quality clothing and accessories and top cosmetics. That combination always attracts me and is well worth coming into this store to check out. The employees are helpful without being pushy and annoying. The dress department is huge with tons of beautiful dresses for all occasions. I love it! Casual clothes range from classic to trendy and accessories are from simple to fancy. If you're a guy, don't worry, there are plenty of nice clothes for you, too. From everyday casual to office and evening dress, you'll find something nice. There's a very good selection of tasteful and top notch ties. Of course there are the gaudy ones, but there's more tasteful than gaudy so you can play it safe. If you're buying a gift, Nordstrom will wrap it in a cool box free of charge. How cool is that? From my understanding alterations are also free. More cool. If you're looking for pretty and good quality clothes, helpful staff, clean and well laid out store, then give Nordstrom a look-see. I'm a Nordie's Gal through and through. After moving to Houston and seeing the crazy amount of options available for shopping, I tried them all. And yet I'm back at Nordies. My husband works at the Galleria, so I spend at least 2-3 days a week at the mall. I'll visit other stores, but Nordstroms is always home to me. Here's why: *The staff is not snotty. There is nothing I hate more than snotty salespeople. Seriously, it is your job to help me. So do it. I can't count how many times I've gone into Neimans or Saks and been ignored for 30 minutes until I have to rudely clear my throat. Grrrr. *They have such a wide selection, you can spend as much or as little as you want. No, it doesn't have the prestige of Neimans or Saks, but the quality is there. *The men's selection is actually decent. My husband is the shopper in the family and he loves hanging out in the tie section, the overpriced jean section, or just get his shoes shined while I hunt for that perfect pair of heels. Plus, they're expanding their shaving section which is great. There's (evidently) nothing like a good shave with badger hair brushes. *Their parking lot usually has spots available. I've tried pretty much every parking lot at the Galleria and this one is consistently much easier to get in and out of, plus there are usually spots on the 4th floor and up. *Their sales are amazing. I live for the Half-Yearly Sale and the Semi-Annual Sale. I tend to save all my money and splurge on a bunch of stuff at once. Again, the shopaholic (my husband) was so impressed this year that he actually ended up buying about 7 ties because they'd been reduced so much. Not bad, eh? I'm sure I could come up with a billion more reasons, but I'll stop there. If you've ever been snubbed at a department store, this is one to check out. They'll never push the sale and tend to be incredibly helpful. Plus, they usually have a pianist there for some live mood music with comfy sofas to relax your feet after a long day of shopping. read more

I love Nordstrom for all they have to offer. They always have a great selection of high-end products, fabulous and creative merchandising, clean fitting rooms, and even a restaurant with a delicious menu for a nice little break in the middle of a day of shopping. I've worked for a luxury retailer in the past so I appreciate walking into a nice store to see all the new stuff designers have come out with each season. My experience there yesterday though had me asking myself, "how in the heck did these sales associates get hired to work in such a nice store?" I was appalled by the unprofessional wardrobe choices and inappropriate conversations some of them were having in the fitting room for all the world to hear. Your customers come in for a relaxing shopping experience, not to hear about all the stresses going on in your life outside of work, thank you very much. In my experience working retail, I was taught to be as pleasant as possible on the sales floor, and these ladies....not so much. One particular instance that literally had me wanting to scream at one of the Nordstrom employees was when my cousin was trying on black dresses for our grandmother's funeral. My cousin had come out of the fitting room to show me one of the options in the larger mirror. One of the random sales girls that was standing in the fitting room at the time (and not the one that was necessarily helping us) decided it was appropriate to share her opinion on what to wear to a funeral based on her family's religion. When we told her we were Catholic and that it's a tradition to wear black when mourning a death, she volunteered another tacky comment of "If I wore black to a funeral, my family would kick me out. We wear white." Thanks chick, we didn't ask. And we are obviously mourning the death of our grandmother so we don't need your opinions and irrelevant comments being thrown at as. Hopefully she doesn't continue dishing out information like that...what if someone who was not familiar with what was appropriate to wear to a funeral, took her advice and ended up showing up as the only one wearing white? Keep your mouth shut girl, and maybe you'll have a chance to go places. But for now, I hope to never see you again. I will continue to shop at Nordstrom because they have the best assortment in town, but it would be nice to have a more pleasant experience the next time I'm in the store. Some extra training (including what's appropriate to discuss on the sales floor) might benefit some of these dumb girls currently representing your company. read more

In recent years I find the Nordstrom Website to be the most "un user Friendly" experience It takes me hours to struggle through. The Search button does not work for me I was looking for lipsticks by Mac. They are not to be found in 1 place. They are in many different sections. and there seems no way to "search" for an item I cannot go on line, pull up a product , and easily "shop" I used to enjoy shopping at Nordstroms. They always have everything I need and the return policy is why I buy such expensive items from them. Today I returned a pair of Vince platform sneakers that lifted from the soles that I've had for a month! I really don't know what to think about this Nordstrom now. Everything was fine earlier in 2011. The staff was pleasant, courteous, and wasn't pushy. But now it seems that everytime I go there I am being more and more ignored. Not only that, but if you pay with a debit card, they try to get you to join their debit rewards program, going into a long drawn out speech about this and that about the card and points. I'm sorry, but if you are not my financial institution, I am not giving you unlimited access to my money, simple as that. Another time I went here, the sales person there just tossed the items I had purchased across the counter to me as opposed to walking around and giving them to me. They always have a great selection of clothes, handbags, shoes, cosmetics, jewelry...everything!! However, I wish they carried Gucci handbags, and it wouldn't hurt to have Chanel as well. :) My favorite thing about this department store is their top notch customer service. Nordstrom has the best return policy and used to have the best customer service. Their customer service has gone down hill. I used to be able to have assistance in the shoe department the second I picked up a shoe. Now, I have to interrupt the employees and break up their personal conversations to get a pair of shoes. They used to bring shoes that they think they would be interested in. Now, they do the bare minimum. The employees in the kids department stand around near the register. I had to flag someone down just to get a question answered. I received a letter in the mail from an employee of Nordstrom informing me of a sale and it was a mass photocopied piece of paper that was faded and off center. Not the quality I expect from a store that used to have impeccable customer service. I have never considered shopping elsewhere, but if customer service stays like it is they will lose a customer that has been around since the grand opening. read more

I am writing a review for the Bobbi Brown counter ONLY. I moved here from Austin and the Bobbi Brown counter was exceptionally good. I came to get my make-up done at the BB counter at the Galleria...and my god was it aweful! A 5 year old could have done better...zero blending. I was so disappointed. Not only was the make-up done badly but the woman doing my make-up looked like she had no make-up on...looked really rough...this is not a way to sell any product line especially cosmetics. two thumbs down read more

I was directed by Nordstrom chat to call several Nordstrom locations to find something I had been stalking online to no avail for two weeks. Two strikes and I was sure I was going to strike out again. I was lucky enough to be connected to the very sweet Georgette N in BP Apparel . She located my item which made me so happy! The reason I'm writing this review for a store that is not even in my own state is because not only did she find it but she was just as delighted as I was. It really made my day. Then when we were going over the shipping details it turned out her hometown is one city over from me here in California! It was a random surprise and it was great talking to her as we finished the transaction. Georgette, you are an awesome sales associate and Nordstrom is lucky to have you. I'm going to have a good story to tell my daughter (who just moved to your hometown) when I surprise her with the sold out item she missed out on during the Anniversary sale. He stayed on the lookout for a particular pair of Hunter boots and held them while I was away on vacation. Beware of the young man with dark hair and very tight pants that currently works at the service desk on the first floor. On December​ 7th, I purchased 2 gifts cards, ​each for the amount of $100, from another dark-haired​ young man from the men's department ( who was very impatient with me ). My friend went shopping​ maybe​ 10 days later and when she handed them her gift card, they told her that it had a $0 balance on it. So she called the number on the back of the card and they were very helpful with her and told her that the gift card had been redeemed​ at the Las Vegas store. They said that all she had to do is tell the person that bought her the card to give them a call and they will take care of it. When I heard the news, I did not worry about it, due to the fact that I had put the gift card on my Nordstrom card and I had kept all my receipts, this whole time thinking that Nordstrom is a reputable store and will fix everything. When I also called​ the number on the card, again the person on the phone was pleasant and said: Do not worry mum, just go back to Nordstrom and show them your receipts and they will give you a full refund. On my day off from work, I went to Nordstrom in a good mood thinking that I will get my refund. I went to the service desk and explained the​ situation to the young man and even showed a picture of the card with the card numbers on it and my receipts. But the young man got frustrated with me and said :" Mum we do not refund lost or stolen or redeemed cards. " I tried to explain to him that the card was not lost or stolen but he said it was redeemed. I explained to him that the person that I gave the card to, had not redeemed it and he said O.K then he will give me the money that was on the card, and I happily said no problem. He said " I can give you $0, that is how much is on the card" So I pleaded with him to please call the number on the card, they are aware of the situation and they will explain things to you. At this point, ​the young man was tired of me and reluctantly​ called the number on the card but not in front of me. He stepped away to make the phone call. Then he came back to me saying that Nordstrom is not responsible when you purchase gift cards. I felt frustrated and humiliated, he was treating me like I was an imbecile. He said " Can't you read what is on the back of the card and proceeded to put a gift card in front of me and showed me the words on it while he was reading to me. " Then he said that if I wanted to, he would call the manager and I could talk to him, but he was happily telling this​. Working in a hospital, I know that when one of our patients is unhappy and wants to talk to the charge nurse, we are concerned and worry about what the patient might say about​ us to the charge nurse. By that time I knew that this man wanted to humiliate me some more and I did not trust him to find me a manager and I left. I went to the second floor looking around to see if I could run into a manager. So in the Topshop department, I saw a pretty Asian​ lady with long hair and asked her if she could please call a manager or could she direct me to the offices of the managers​. I told her that I had a bad experience at the service desk. She told me " you cannot just talk to the manager, they are busy, all you can do is go back down to the service desk." Then I decided to call the number on the back of the card, they had been nice to me, they will help me. When I called the number, I happened to be in the department in front of the elevator​ where the high-end​ clothes​​ are located. This time the people from the card had a totally different attitude and said that it was up to Nordstrom if they wanted to give me a refund and there is nothing they can do about it and they did not understand why we waited so long to redeem the card, (my friend works Monday through Friday and waited about 10 days to use it) People show their frustration in different ways, unfortunately,​ mine is to start crying and that is what I did. There was a tall African​-American saleslady who what just witnessed what happened​​ and she came up to me and said:​"Don't worry, I will call the manager for you" and everything started to take a turn for the better after I met this kind-hearted​​, elegant lady. The manager came to me and was extremely​ nice and said that he will take care of everything ( I could be mistaken but his name might have​ been Zack). He said to just hand him my Nordstrom card and my receipt and he was going to investigate and talk to customer service manager and come back and talk to me. I just waited a few minutes and he came back to me with a new $100 dollars gift card. If a person from Nordstrom's upper management​ happens to be reading this, please do not let the young man working at the service desk ruin hard working peoples' Christmas. I could forget about losing​ a $100 but I will never forget how that young man treated me. read more
