I went looking for a new pair of shoes, and I knew that Nordstrom's carried the certain brand of shoes that I needed. I went into the shoe department and met the most wonderful employee. He helped me find the best shoes, the employees are super sweet there. They have a wonderful selection of things that are on sale.I would recommend this store to anyone they are full of class and lovely to talk with, they will always be there to help you and make your style stayed out. Today, my family and I went to the Nordstrom Men's department to shop for BOSS brand shirts for the first time in a while. My husband brought out a shirt from the fitting room because the size didn't fit, and there was a young, short man with short black hair and a black beard nearby. When my husband asked, "Where should I put this?" the employee kept staring straight into our eyes, glaring at us until the very last moment -- with the kind of look a boxer has when stepping into the ring -- before finally taking the shirt. His attitude was extremely unpleasant. My family felt embarrassed by his dirty look, and even when my husband politely said "thank you," he ignored him and walked away. What should have been a fun shopping trip with my family after a nice meal was completely ruined by that one employee. I strongly believe the Nordstrom Men's department must retrain its staff on basic customer courtesy. read more

Lynnwood, Bellevue, Southcenter are my top 3 Nordstroms (in WA) as their layout and staff is outstanding every time I drop in. Lynnwood is my favourite especially if one is not going to Bellevue and is doing the I5 Vancouver- Seattle shopping/site seeing route. Honorable mentions: Layout, Online in store pickup is on the 2nd floor, close to parkade entrance. Staff is efficient and gives one space to edit/process items quickly. If you love Good American, this location has the largest selection/sizes. Baby/Children clothing, excellent selection if you have children or gifts. Although no Nordstrom Bistro like Bellevue, their bar on the main floor never disappoints. read more

But today, I was greeted with a genuine smile by McKenzie. She was friendly , knowledgeable and professional. She asked what I was looking for and quickly brought out a few options. She was patient and allowed me to take my time in deciding on which pair to purchase. I am a former Nordstrom employee in the flagship store in Seattle, WA. I currently live in Lynwood, WA. Like many women in Seattle I have shopped at Nordstrom all my life. When I move to Lynnwood, now having lived her 20 years, I began shopping at the Alderwood Mall location. I have a couple of things to say: 1) the Brasserie Restaurant is quite pleasant. I do recommend it. 2) I have a major complaint about something that effects my entire shopping experience: the restrooms in this store are always filthy and totally disgusting! Yes, really bad. I take my MIL who is 87 yrs old to lunch here and she always needs to use the restroom and it is always awful! So bad I finally have to say so online. I have mentioned this to staff. I was told: "We only have a cleaner once a day and that is during hours the store is closed . " apparently Nordstrom is now so cheap they cannot afford to have a cleaner on staff during the day to make shopping there a pleasant experience! It is the most expensive store in the area for women's clothing and one would expect them to want the customers to enjoy a pleasant experience after buying a $489 dress! I would expect to have a pleasant experience after spending $5! I cannot go on supporting a store that is so expensive and so lacking in support for a lifelong customer that they can no longer offer clean restrooms as part of the shopping experience. I have heard many other customers complaining about this problem as well. Target has much cleaner restrooms, so does Macy's. As for the selections of clothing offered at this location. They are bad. I am very into fashion and I seldom see anything that I want here. It all seems to be middle of the road, mass produced, overpriced and unimaginative. Sorry, but the quality just isn't there. The price points, however, are very high. And, the service is terrible. The store is understaffed every time I go in. In my opinion Nordstrom has gone all the way downhill. They are still trying to survive on an image they developed many years ago. They have become a bad joke. Going there used to be inspiring. It is now simply depressing. There are no longer any well made elegant shoes, they have a dismal selection of dresses and they have eliminated coats, recently they move hosiery into foundations and hey carry a very poor selection of pantyhose and stockings. I am not a difficult size to fit. I wear a size 4 dress and size 7.5 in shoes, but I never find things I want. Sadly, Nordstrom has seen better days! read more

Let me preface this by saying that I loathe shopping. I know what looks good when I see it, but I struggle to find clothes that are right for my body type and actually look good on me personally. For this reason, I recently booked a free styling appointment at Nordstrom as I needed a new work wardrobe for my new job. I was paired up with a stylist named Tigi and she did an incredible job!! She quickly figured out my preferences, got my sizing corrected ( I'd been wearing clothes too big for me for years), and did all the running around and exchanging until we had built a perfect capsule wardrobe for me to travel with for my work. It was so much fun that I actually felt a bit like Julia Robert's in Pretty Woman walking out to my car with all the bags. I will absolutely book with her again and I will return to this store over any other brands or locations. I highly recommend this experience! read more

This location caught me by surprise because the baby/toddler section is EXCELLENT!! I found so many countless cute, and useful items for my daughter and son. Any parent of an baby and toddler of opposite genders probably has the same struggle finding quality items for both kiddos at the same store. The service is very good. As a former Bellevue resident, I must say that I still prefer the eastside location. The parking needs improvement especially for disabled and elderly shoppers. I would visit more frequently if this problem was solved. The consumers who choose to pay for "more" should have access to service both outside and inside of the store. read more

This is one of our most seamless recent shopping experiences. Despite living close to the Bellevue Nordstrom, we drove up to Lynnwood since a friend had recommended them for a bra fitting for my teenager. We made an online appointment with Reema Pradhan and so grateful we made the drive and visit. Reema was fantastic--she expertly measured my daughter and despite my daughter's unusual size was able to find both a sports bra and a regular bra that will work well for her. My daughter had been struggling with ill fitting garments and abhors the time we've spent looking for them over for the last year and I wish I had known of this complementary service sooner. We were able to find two great purchases that we are confident in quickly. Reema mentioned she has been helping customers find the proper fitting bras for the last 11 years and her expertise is apparent! read more

I want to recommend but I am so disappointed in this store. The plus size department is terrible, on to large bras....You used to be able to get a Wacoal during the mid year sale, well not in a Over 36 size, calling BS on that...and while I'm at it, there were 3 other women shopping while I was there the 'over 36 size bras are on the bottom rack.... None of us could bend down that far to search, funny thing is I don't need to shop the sale but when a bra is going for $72 , It almost makes it necessary. Nordstrom continues to deteriorate in my opinion. Maybe it's part of the overall deterioration of Lynnwood, but I believe it's the store itself because the Bellevue store has been a different experience. A few days ago I had to return 2 items I'd bought online. I walked into the store on the second level and got in line for the returns/pickup at that desk. I got to the register and the person there wanted to know if I had a return or a pickup and I said return. She said they like to prioritize customers with pickups at that register. I said I would think they'd like to prioritize ALL customers and then she agreed. This is the second time I've gotten pushback when taking a return to that area. The first time I was actually told to go to a desk in another area. I declined having recently had knee surgery and then the person saw my cane and relented. It seems to me that if Nordstrom is going to accept returns at any given register then the returns should be accepted politely with zero commentary. I have quit going to the store in person except to return items purchased online. It used to be pleasant to go in and browse, maybe have lunch and look around and shop. It is no longer all that pleasant and I have decided to prioritize taking my shopping elsewhere as much as possible. read more

Very very disappointed. Nordstroms has finally become something that they never were, a place to buy shoes. My wife needs shoes for a wedding and they no longer have the inventory, selection or staff to fulfill the need and the reason I primarily have always gone there for, to me that was the root / core competency's of the store. No more piano guy, the staff doesn't really listen to you or address your needs. My wife was finally pointed to a web site (and the staff person even had problems connecting to wifi to show her). Upon review when we got home the shoes she was asked to look at were not 2" heels which was almost the inly criteria besides being closed toe. Great mall with plenty of food options. Most of the storefronts are operating. Usually gets a fair amount of foot traffic. Parking can be a struggle sometimes. Plenty of restaurants and a movie theater within walking distance. Usually visit a few times a year. Seasonal decor. Sad to see the children's play area no longer available. read more

Nordstrom has completely gone to crap. I've had terrible service the last time I've been in any of the stores, but the Alderwood location is the absolute worst. I have been here four times in the last three months, each time with the intention to buy either for myself or a gift. Each time there are half a dozen associates working, multiple registers clearly open, and yet not one person has offered assistance... Even after picking up and walking around with four or five items. In fact, I don't remember anyone even saying hello. Basically, I didn't speak with anyone until I brought a pile of items to the register to pay. Needless to say, I will not be shopping here in the future... I won't even bother walking through unless I want to look for something to buy online from another retailer. One exception... A really nice gentleman in men's shoes saw the shoes I was wearing and went to the back to pull a similar pair they had just received. read more

I have very large breasts (32L in US, 32HH in UK). I had lost weight and been at a 34K for a while, when I ordered a new one and found the band to be too big. I went to be resized, and showed the woman the places it didn't fit right. She told me the band was fine and that my breasts had gotten smaller (they hadn't), asked me how often I wore it and how I washed it, because it was stretched out (that was the first time I had worn it other than trying it on and I hadn't washed it yet obviously). I told her these things 3-4 times before she listened. She then told me I just needed a smaller cup size when my problem was that I had to hook the bra as tight as possible to make it fit- the cups were not the issue. I left after that and after talking to other people, realize she was just trying to push me into the wrong size to make a sale, since they don't have my size. I recommended going to The Pencil Test in Renton, but if you can't make the drive, don't go to Nordstrom if you know your cup size is bigger a K (US). *They may carry larger cup sizes for larger band sizes but I would check online first so you don't get talked into buying something that's not right for you. And self advocate and tell them when it doesn't feel right! Look up a diagram of how a bra should fit in the band, straps, and cups before you go in so you know what the bra should feel like. Sorry this is long but the woman who sized me was so rude dismissive, and made me feel so bad about my body that I couldn't not say anything. If you have to go there... good luck read more

Love Nordstrom and the online store is my go place for my wardrobe for a long time. Haven't been in a store in a while and yesterday I was very surprised by poor selection in Alderwood Nordstrom. First of all the plus size department was called Encore as long as I remember, they now call it Plus. Why the rename? I thought it was classy to call it Encore, and not remind us fat girls that we are plus sized. Second it moved to far corner of the 2nd floor - right next to the cafe. Great marketing guys! What a way to encourage your plus size patrons to shop then immediately go eat, cause the alluring smells are right there. Third of all the plus size selection is the poorest I've seen in a while and is targeted toward 20 year olds that are brave enough to wear dresses with large holes on their backs. Come on Nordstrom! You can do so much better to cater to all and expand your "plus" size department. read more

I've been a long-time Nordstrom customer and shopped at many stores around the country. I'm a big guy (not fat) with broad shoulders and require an XXL shirt. This Alderwood Mall store seems to think that all their customers are little, skinny men. They only sizes I could find were Smalls or Mediums. They either don't stock XL or XXL sizes, or they stock it but not enough. I asked a salesperson if they had an XXL in a particular shirt, and he told me to try going to a big & tall store. He didn't even bother to look in the inventory to see if they had that size at another store. I went online and ordered (5) $150 Bugatchi shirts in XXL sizes and I'm very happy. Nordstrom fails to provide options for big guys and loses my business. read more

I'm a Nordstrom card/rewards member and I absolutely love the online shopping experience, but I hate to say that the customer service really lacks here at Nordstrom Alderwood. Last week my mom and I were in the cosmetics section looking for gifts. There were several employees standing around and none of them offered help, and they were more interested in socializing with each other. They did acknowledge that we were there - because one of them just said "hi" then proceeded to talk with her coworker. I immediately left the store and bought my things online (that said, the online pickup service here is fast and reliable, which is why I'm adding a star). Another time I was in men's section and though I specifically mentioned that I was buying a gift, the associate did not offer any gift wrapping. Once I pushed on it, he acted like he didn't know how to fold a sweater and my mom had to fold it for him. This would all be very understandable if the store was busy, but both incidents happened on weekday afternoons when there are relatively a lot lesser people than weekends. I have very low expectations of customer service at this Nordstrom. I've experienced better at other locations. read more

Holding a few thousand dollars worth of clothes with absolutely no help from an associate is insane. But maybe it's a look that I miss on the mark here. Grew up buying my shoes at Nordstrom's where I was always greeted with a well dressed employee who looks like he belongs on the sales floor. Today visited Alderwood Nordstrom Mens Shoe Department. The employees are dressed casual no name tags nothing that identifies they work here. One guy had a name badge but was wearing baggy pants, t-shirt and a button down shirt open. Customer service was lacking nobody even greeted me or asked any questions! Many product's that I've always purchased are not available here. They only offered 4 New Balance mens running shoes in butt ugly options. Nordstrom's has gone way down in my book. My friend waited 20 minutes to be told the shoe shine guy wasn't available. Nordstrom is my go to for clothes and cosmetics. I've shopped here quite a few times but the customer service was really lacking on this visit. Top Shop is my favorite stop for a few key pieces to update my wardrobe. I was pretty disappointed with the customer service on this visit, 3 employees and hardly a greeting, 1 quick hello. No offers to start a dressing room. I spent $250 in 30 min, I would expect a little more attentive customer service. I'll stick to Downtown and Bellevue. read more

I am very disappointed with how Nordstrom handles their half yearly sale giving early access only to their elite customers or those with their CC. By the time the average customer gains access, there is very little left . Being a customer for 50 years and not able to buy what's on my wish list is just wrong. It feels like a betrayal. The mall was super super packed and the online pick up area was so busy with a big team of staffs manning the people picking up and returning online orders on the second floor west entrance side. They have big signs so you can't miss it if you pick up in store. Thought it'd take awhile to pick up my order but to my surprise, it didn't take long at all. Glad during these times, this company hire enough people to run the place. Just showed the lady the confirmation email and last name and they have it organized for easy retrieval when she scans my email. I had alot of big bulk boxes. The nice lady offered to bring it out to me if I can park at the designated curbside lot but the parking lot was so chaotic I asked if she wouldn't mind just opening the boxes and it'd lessen the bulk so I can just grab and go. She was super accommodating and immediately went to open up the boxes and got me the right size shopping bags for my items and didn't mind me leaving her all the cardboard boxes. I really appreciated this lady at the pick up counter she's older than the staffs in her crew and was working her tail off. Wish I got her name she was awesome! I could tell the other staffs were super efficient too. Great job Nordstrom! Haven't gone mall shopping for a long time and I was quite pleased with my experience today. I'm hopeful that the Nordstrom staff will be 100% forthcoming with customers who buy this brand; it is a known issue with these shoes! I have been working with ecco on this and they have been AMAZING! Ecco is taking responsibility for the defective shoes and has given us a generous credit towards replacing the shoes via the ecco website (not valid at any store, just via the ecco website). So if you find yourself in this same position, definitely contact ecco directly! Nordstrom staff - direct your customers to ecco when the shoes they purchase from you fall apart; don't just tell them, "oh, well, what did you expect from a pair of shoes that you spent hundreds of dollars on?" read more

This is for their curbside service. I purchased an item from their half yearly sale. Was too impatient to wait for it to be delivered ( and afraid of porch pirates let's be honest) so I opted for their curbside pickup which is a fantastic idea esp during the pandemic. I accidentally hit the button on my nordy app that I was there when I was heading out. Called their # to informed them of the mistake. On the way another customer rep called to see if I was on my way and any issues finding the garage ( I'm assuming the communication didn't go thru w my initial call). Everyone was courteous and professional, enthusiastic and helpful. Once arrived it was easy to park in the designated spot and arrange for delivery. The person who handed me my purchase was very mindful of maintaining social distancing. And on top of that they gave me a gift in my bag as a thank you for trying their curbside service. How cool is that. Way to job Nordy Lynnwood Curbside Service team! U made my day and I was having a crappy day initially! read more
