Great location! I was very satisfied with my experience here. The store is right across/near the target with plenty of free and easy spacious parking spots. This store was very clean and neat. I visited Kohl's department store today to drop off a few Amazon returns and had an experience I feel needs to be addressed. One of the items I attempted to return was directed by the cashier to a different return location. I took the item back to my car, where my sister informed me that I could easily update the return location through the app. I did so immediately and returned to the store to complete my return. However, while in line, I witnessed the same cashier assist a gentleman in front of me who had also selected the wrong return location. Rather than sending him away as she had done with me, she kindly informed him that he could easily change the return site through the app. I couldn't help but notice the difference in how we were treated--she was quick to offer the solution to him but not to me. This left me feeling unfairly treated, especially considering that I am Black and the gentleman was White. read more

I've never had such a bad experience at a Kohls like I did this one. I hate to be that person that goes on yelp just to write a bad review but I'm super disappointed. Didn't have what I was looking for, their website said they had stock but I spent 20 minutes looking for any employee that would help me and got no luck. I went home and placed a pickup order and within 5 minutes it was canceled. Were they just too lazy to look? I mean they could've at the least called me or given the option to have it shipped to store since they provide that service. I was pleasantly shocked when entering the store; I thought it would only have one or two brands, but it's a department store! Unfortunately there weren't a wide selection of higher end brands such as Nike and Adidas for kids. The chain, the online store, and other locations I've visited are totally fine. This store is a nightmare. As others have mentioned, it's constantly short staffed and incredibly disorganized. First you wait forever in line for your turn. Then you wait more because they can't find your order. My item was somehow marked as picked up when the bar code was scanned, which prevented me from walking off and just buying the item from the shelf. Based on what I witnessed with other customers in the hour I had to wait, this constant chaos seems to be the default mode. I would avoid this location at all cost. read more

One star for the HIGHLY unpleasant customer service department experience. First off, unlike other stores in 2018, Kohls makes you go to the customer service desk for a simple return. At the Lynnwood Kohl's, the customer service desk is upstairs in the back corner of the store. So, that is annoyingly inconvenient. All other stores (i.e. Old Navy, Fred Meyers, Target, Nordstrom, etc) have very easy return locations. Once you get to customer service, there are long lines and they move at a glacial pace. I went on a Saturday afternoon and waited 45 minutes to return one shirt. The two clerks were so slow. What really pissed me off was when it was my time, the lady clerk (she had short white hair and appeared to be in her late 50s/early 60s) didn't apologize one bit. I told her that the wait was unnecessary and that it would be nice if all store cashiers could process returns. She flippantly said "well Kohls has done returns like this for over 12 years and we think it's fine...we won't be changing anything." I said "well....just because something has always been done a certain way doesn't mean it's right." Her reply "well you did choose to come during the holiday season. It's the way we will continue to do business." That clerk's attitude lost a long time customer. How Kohl's thinks that its return policy with 45+ minute wait in line is acceptable is beyond me. Kohl's has great deals, nice special, and decent variety. This was my first time shopping at this location. They are not just lacking employees but costumer service. It was stressful couldn't find anyone to help and when we did they didn't know what they were talking about. The cashier was extremely slow and kept pressuring me to get a credit card, after saying no three times I about ready to yell NO. She start bagging our stuff after she handed me the receipt. No wonder why line was so long. CHEAPER ONLINE! I pointed out that the same pair of pjs are $5 cheaper online and the cashier said then buy it online. I like this location of Kohl's because they always have parking nearish to the entrances and the selection is almost always great. Items are not as picked through here - or maybe it's just that the staff here is good at keeping things tidy. Either way, I always feel good about coming here. The employees are friendly and there is always an available fitting room if you need to try something on. I've come here for Christmas shopping, baby gift shopping, new work clothes, and shoes, and have not been disappointed yet. There are always coupons available and I like the feeling when I leave the store that I got a really good deal. They are located across from Alderwood Mall and next to the World Market and Target - easy access near I-5 and close to everything else you may be shopping for. read more

Yes, the racks are crazy cluttered and not sorted. Yes, the dressing rooms are messy. Yes, the staff is impossible to find and not helpful at all. BUT They have some amazing clearance prices. I seriously get lost in this place. SO frequently I have left with a BAG of stuff for under $40. This is the kind of place you go to scour the clearance racks - and only that. I have gotten shirts for $2 and dress slacks for $4. Coming here reminds me of the old clearance racks at The Bon Marche. Back before Macy's took over. But anyway, my cousin and I came here today and I bought three items, woohoo! I love the Lauren Conrad and ELLE brands. There always seems to be great deals as well and it's really fun shopping here. I love Kohls! I started shopping at Kohls during my time in LA and they have the best sales. Plus so many of their clothes are so cute and they still hold up after several years. I have lots of their sweaters and pajamas. Their home goods are also great and my husband loves their pajamas (brand Apt 9). And we both love Chaps - really good quality clothes. They have great accessories and I like the Elle, Apt 9, and Vera Wang brands. I often get a lot of Christmas gifts at Kohls - especially when I am using my Kohls dollars. This Kohls is very clean and tidy and I get right in the dressing room (maybe it helps that I usually go first thing when they open). And the lines to check out are quick as well. read more

I love Kohl's. I first discovered this store when I lived in Rochester, MN. It is essentially decent quality clothes, handbags, housewares, shoes, electronics, and more under one roof at discounted prices. Every Kohl's that I have visited in the States tends to be one big store with one floor. This store in Lynnwood surprised me. It's two floors! I learned that the hard way when I had walked the entire first floor and felt that it was missing several sections that I normally frequent. You can collect points and savings towards future purposes. I get weekly coupons through e-mail. I applied a 15% one off my entire order. I bought a pair of peach Converse sneakers and two knit tops. I saved $42. All Kohl's stores offer free wifi. They also have washrooms. This store was clean and spacious. Lynnwood Kohl's is an absolute joke, Always understaffed and very slow. Anytime you come in here there is an extensive wait for checkout. I try to avoid this place and shop elsewhere because of their lack of staff. Today was the last straw however, Wife placed an order for an online pickup. She had quite a bit going on and I decided to be ahead of it and go grab the orders for her. Arrive at customer service and wait for 15 minutes before being helped only to be told I cannot pick up the order as I'm not on there. Offered my ID and credit card used to assure them. This would be understandable if we did not share the same name, address and credit card. I also want to note, We are talking $40 worth of pillows, not high end electronics or anything of that nature. Looked around for clothes for work but everything seemed tailored towards the elderly grandmas in the women's department. I have found great clothes by Elle and other designers at the Kohl's in Southcenter but nothing found at this location the couple times I've come in. Not a sales person in sight but didn't need one so wasn't worried about it. They have a really big parking lot. The store is large, but I haven't looked at anything besides the clothes. The first time I came to a Kohl's was at this location. I helped out a stranger who repaid me in Kohl's cash. I had never heard of it. Came in and found out how they give away "cash"/discounts towards future purchases made in a certain amount of time, same as Lane Bryant. read more

I had an absolutely horrible experience with a rude and angry manager at the Lynnwood location. After I made a purchase and realized the price I was charged was not the price I remember being displayed, I approached an associate (very kind and respectful) who verified what I saw and instructed me to go to the customer service area for a return and repurchase. During that process, another manager walked by and rudely said "this will not be honored next time since you knew the price was wrong and purchased it on purpose". This was an absolutely false, condescending and unnecessary statement to make. Thinking I heard her incorrectly, I asked her to please repeat herself, which she did and while I attempted to explain the actual situation, she walked away. I have visited this store on numerous occasions and this is the first time i've had a bad experience. read more

Sometimes I have out-of-nowhere onslaughts of OCD. Today when I walked into Kohl's for the first time and perused the Juniors section (because I'm so hip like that), another attack snuck up on me. There was hardly a rack to be seen that wasn't completely jumbled up and picked through. I could have spent hours refolding, rehanging, and reorganizing. And, sadly, I would have enjoyed it. (Who *doesn't* like to see rows and rows of pants and shirts and sweaters in ascending size order?!) I didn't want to offend the paid workers who were already there doing these tasks, so I settled for hunting down a pair of jeans. Which was no easy task because, like I said, I was a) in the juniors section and b) it appeared a bomb had exploded somewhere in the general vicinity. In the end, I scored a pair of jeans for $12. Not sure if I bought them because they were $12 or because they really were must-haves, but I digress. The check-out area was a bit of a mess, and I may have been inadvertently cut by several people, or maybe I was just being dense about the procedure, another distinct possibility. I'd rather shop at Old Navy or Target, which are both nearby. read more

I did a focus group for Kohl's once - just to set the record straight, it is Mervyn's reincarnated. Mervyn's was the closest store to my childhood home, so I really have a mental block shopping there because of the bad memories of every third girl in school having on the same outfit as myself. Anyway, enough about my therapy issues. One thing I do think, and I believe everyone else thinks based on my focus group, is that Kohl's is good for the basics. The pricing isn't as good as JCP and the selection isn't as hip as Macy's, but if you need some nice work slacks or summer tees, Mervyn's, er Kohl's, is your place. Not sure how this place only averages 3 stars, but I think it may have to do with people going in expecting too much from a place such as Kohl's. I like this place because they have such a large variety of clothes, and always have coupons and Kohl's dollars for you. Sure, sometimes I've never heard of the brands they have, but if you're here to look for affordable daily wear, I don't see why that should be a problem. The customer service is superb, as well. When I was here on Black Friday, the employees sure looked tired, but none of them had a miserable look on their face, and that says something about their management. I even had an employee who wouldn't stop helping me until she found what I was looking for. Basic kohl's: layout confusing. Stopped in here for a few items. Restrooms upstairs and around the corner to the back. If you have bladder issues might not wanna come here because you'll never find the restroom. Maybe make it more accessible for those of us who spend a lot of time here. Cashier was kinda funny. Ugh, I dread going to Kohl's! The place is a mess - clothes are everywhere. All over the floor, piled up on top of racks of other clothes, overflowing in the dressing rooms, etc. It is a disaster. The lines for the dressing rooms are always extremely long. Despite the limit on the number of items you can take into a room, there is never an employee working the dressing rooms, so this rule is never enforced. You will therefore wait eons while the people in each room try on 37 different items each at an excruciatingly slow pace. Plus, all the clothes here fit SO WEIRD!!! I have bought one shirt here total over the numerous times I have been to this store. It's just beyond bizarre because I can never find anything that fits right or is even close to looking flattering. And trust me, I have tried on a lot of clothes here. I pretty much don't go here anymore unless I am completely desperate to find something that I can't find anywhere else. read more

Where I'm from, there are no Kohl's. I've lived in Seattle for quite awhile and was happy to see one when I first moved here. I think my image of the store was much different than my experience. Over the years, I've been there many times. What I've decided is that I can't go there looking for anything specific, otherwise, I'll be disappointed. It's a much better shopping experience for me if I'm in a "browsing" type of mood. My main purchases at Kohl's tend to me shoes and children's clothes. Both of those sections are located upstairs. I dread the walk the back of the store to ride the elevator. That elevator ride never goes well for me - too long of a wait, too many people, and one too many people who either smell like body odor or cheap perfume. I've had good luck finding shoes (again, not looking for anything specific). I buy some of my son's clothes there and he tends to gravitate towards the Tony Hawk section. I've also found some great deals for him in the shoe department as well. The pricing system at Kohl's is a great concept and almost always a complete fail for me. They have really cool "digital" price tags. That are almost always wrong. I have to take pictures of the price and description of the product to take with me to the cashier. Once, they made us go back upstairs and check for ourselves. Another time, they had someone else check while we held up the line. Neither is acceptable. Bottom line - great for a few things, nothing specific, and watch the prices at the cash register. An okay shopping experience. read more

Rude manager at lynnwood store who seriously needs training on customer interaction: They gave me a $30 Kohls cash on a purchase I made during the BF sale. When I go back to the store to use the coupon the store manager said that the coupon only had $15. I tried to ask/resolve the issue or at least work on any recourse and the manager was extremely rude and just told me "It is what it is". I don't think I was asking anything unreasonable to warrant such a rude reaction. On one hand I feel I was cheated off $15 and on the other I was rudely told to live with it. I think I can deal with the $15 loss but the rude reaction from the manager is what drove me to write this negative review specifically about their Lynnwood store. My review is limited to the store manager's behaviour who was working there when I went there at 7:36pm on 8th Dec 2021. But it is enough to tick me off to never go there again read more

Kohl's is a store I will stay away from. I had two bad experiences. The first was that I entered the store and asked a cashier (there is no customer-service counter) where to find a certain brand. She made me wait, then after wasting my time said she didn't know. So I walked up to a salesperson which took me a long time, since they play hide & seek throughout the two-story store in Lynnwood, WA. When I finally located a salesperson, she also said she didn't know. Then I looked for it myself, never found it, the store is in disarray, they don't put items back on the racks so there are piles of clothing all over the bins and floor as well. I ended up buying a top, but it wasn't what I had come for. The second bad experience is that I ordered a shirt online in early Dec., but received a shirt with a different design than what was shown in the picture. I returned the shirt, using Kohl's own label, paid myself for postage via UPS. Today, Jan. 24, I still don't have a refund. I called them twice. The first guy said, after collecting my tracking # and misc. other info from me, that it "hadn't arrived." So I went to UPS and got a printout of the arrival data with exact date/time plus the address. Then I called Kohl's again. This time, it had arrived (a miracle!) and I was told the money would be refunded on Jan. 31. Now I am eagerly awaiting Jan. 31! Thanks for the hassle! read more

After an awful experience at Nordstrom in the mall across the street, my husband and I went here to look for some things we hadn't been able to find. Selection is average for a big box store, we did find some very cute things at reasonable prices. Black Friday review: Lines went in quick, we were 3/4 of the way around the building, got in before 12:10. Store was organized and ready; found our stuff (except the Dyson vac...drats) and probably made it through the check stand in under 15 minutes. Store did a great job handling that sized crowd! It's not the store, it's the corporation. It's 2020 and they have an absolutely antiquated pos system. If you make a purchase on line and return it to a store near you, you aren't credited for the complete amount of the what you paid when you bought the merchandise. I'm sure it's because of the city tax difference. On top of that, I did not receive A receipt (which is common practice the cashier told me) with my package , so I had to go through a complete hassle with the corporate customer service on the phone. I have always been a big fan of Kohl's. I always walked out of that place feeling like I really saved a lot of money. Guess what, I haven't saved any money by shopping there. In fact I probably overpaid for just about everything I've ever purchased there. If you'd like to know how I know this, listen to my fun story. I recently wanted to buy a new set of pans. I walked into Kohl's with my extra 30% off coupon and there was already a 20% off sale. That means 50% off the marked price for these pans. Well the price was $299.99. and by the time I was done we were sitting right at 160 165. I bought the pans and I went home so excited. When I got home, just for fun I checked Amazon to see just how much money I saved. Well it looks like I overpaid by $40. Even after they took off the 50% discount. So that means that there are original product was marked up from $129 to $299. Of course they're willing to give you 30% off coupons and Kohl's cash and every other thing they can possibly do to get you in there. They are ripping you off more than you can imagine. And the old people that shop there who don't actually think to look on Amazon just keep paying through the nose for all this stuff. Imagine how much money they are seriously making by all these people not checking the prices. I am absolutely done shopping there. Everyone's in a while I'll go in there and check the clearance rack because I can still get a few $2 shirts. But as far as actually buying any real products I will never invest my money in a place that is so willing to mark their prices up. This is my first time here. I got some great deals on the things I was looking for. I didn't see many customer services folks around but I didn't need any and it's a huge store. They have a ton of parking and gender neutral bathroom. The only complaint I have is the elevator. The store is large and 2 stories. Unfortunately the elevator is in the far back of the store and is quite small. If I were in a wheelchair or used a walker it would be a big problem. They don't have the little rascals like some grocery shoes do but they do have a wheelchair for customer use who's is above and beyond. The wheel chair is prominently displayed. There is also a bench inside the door (large enough to fit at least 4 people and an automatic door so they obviously care about mobility. When I went up to check out I elected to sign up for a credit card as it would give me another 30% off my final bill (including the items I was already getting 60% off!). My salesperson was Arden. She was so sweet but ended up making a mistake on my application so I wasn't approved immediately. They didn't deny me just said I would need to call (likely due to Arden's mistake) she told me she could give me just 15%. Daniel (the manager or supervisor) came by and Arden was amazing! She told her she made a mistake and so Daniel approved the 30% PLUS gave me a $10 gift card to use another time. This is customer service at its best! These two ladies showed me they cared about me as a customer, wanted me to return, and were calm and professional. I left with my discount and a good feeling. They get 5 stars from me and I will be back! Final note: I had my 10 year old daughter with me and Arden spoke to her without using the condescending "baby talk" which impressed my daughter enough for her to mention it!
