Love coming here! I have been here several times when they have their half yearly or anniversary sale. This location is pretty far from where I live but I know when I come here that I will always find something great that I wouldn't find at the local Nordstrom's in my area. Staff always goes over and beyond helping me when I visit. There is a young female associate in activewear on the first floor who has rung me up a couple of times. She keeps in touch with me via email when there are special sales the stores have which I appreciate. The selection is amazing and everything is nice and neatly placed. I came in to look for undergarments for my wedding dress. One staff member asked if we needed help, and we said yes, but she walked away. Another started to help us, but then also walked away. I started at the Jo Malone boutique to get a few fragrances and the associate Nella really went above and beyond to make sure I left out of there satisfied. At first, there was a women helping me and after choosing the first fragrance, another women joined-asking me the same questions. She made me somewhat uncomfortable, the boutique was a small one, it was crowded and I didn't really have the freedom to roam around and make my choices, as I was being interrupted by receiving multiple sprayed samples all at once. Please avoid this store. I went in and was helped by a woman named Ria. At the time I thought she was nice. But she is inept at her job. We went home with things missing from our bags, she sent items we ordered to the wrong address and, worst of all, she sold me clothing that did not fit me in areas she measured (like my neck). I'm now at a wedding with clothing that doesn't fit thanks to an inept woman and her team of moronic assistants. She should not be working in this business as she has absolutely no attention to detail. Then she blamed me for the whole thing. No return call. No responsibility. I think this is my favorite store by far because I had a very sweet lady as my sales lady she went over the top to find clothing for my granddaughter that was upstairs. My shopping was made easy. I also had purchased a perfumed unfortunately I had a big allergy reaction to it I returned no problem. Sadly Nordstrom is losing its luster in many customers eyes and now mine too. I had a gift return, new with tags, a $55 shirt (not some designer) did just a casual shirt. It had its original bar code that they could not upload in the system and would not honor their own bar code. They ll return some yucky used pair of Uggs or a Luxury brand without issue but not a brand new tagged coded shirt? Never knew you had to have the original receipt. Customer service there does NOT feel like Nordstrom anymore IMO. Anyway, going to take Nordstrom off my list for holiday gift giving so this wouldn't happen to someone else like myself. read more

was welcomed by a nice lady who was about to end her shift. we were waiting for someone else to tend to my brother & find some dress pants in the men's department & came across Berry. The sales woman was being impatient with us while we were shopping for dress pants for our little brother who is on the autism spectrum. it looked like she did not want to help us because she assumed we were not going to buy anything based on our attire/appearance. she would roll her eyes sometimes and get impatient when he or my other sibling wouldn't understand what she was asking. when we were trying to explain to my little brother how he's going to have his pants hemmed and to not worry about the length, she made a sly comment saying along the lines that she did not expect us to know how tailoring and hemming pants worked which felt like a microaggressions & was completely unnecessary. I try to be very understanding especially with people who work in customer service because they can have some stressful/rough days & commission is something that is relied upon, but the passive aggressive treatment and microaggression was not appreciated especially since it was towards someone whose neuro-divergent. I would rather have some other sales person get the commission but the rest of the staff working were preoccupied with other customers // my sister went back to pick up the tailored pants & wanted to get the gift wrapped. the lady at the gift wrapping counter was completely rude and made the transaction uncomfortable & more difficult than it needed to be by asking her what she needed and if she even bought the pants in the first place even though she saw my sister picking up the pants at the register. Would not recommend giving this location your service if you're a person of color. read more

I frequent this location often. Really convenient mall location with dedicated parking. They stock a diverse amount of designer men items.

I'm really torn about the beauty bar... It's convenient in that you don't have to crawl through the mall to get there-- it's just inside Nordstrom's. Also the prices are reasonable. And you can get nails, hair, and eyebrows done all by specialists in the same place... ... that's once you go through the 30 hurdles to make those appointments. Firstly, you can't call directly, you call the main line and get transferred. Most often I have to leave a VM and then they call back a day later. When they do and you go to set a time- Anastasia Brows has seperate book, or sometimes they can't find the book.... SO annoying. Why can't Nordstrom's have online booking?? Blow-outs are good. And tough to find in the 'burbs for a reasonable $30. (Their best girl - Sarah - moved to another salon.) Nails are decent. Anastasia brows is amazing- but hardest to get an appt. 3 times they've messed up my hair appointment (once I had an important photo shoot so I was literally in tears; I had called to reconfirm the time 24hrs before and no on called me back. When I showed up they said no one scheduled for at least an hour!!!), and twice they've cancelled the day before/day of. Especially since I bunch my appointments so as to not make multiple trips it's so frustrating! Luckily, being Nordstrom's they at least will apologize, comp the service, etc. They have wireless which is a plus. Apparently you can't earn Beauty Rewards points on services. read more

Love the Anastasia brow bar!!! My story: my eyebrows were a train wreck, I was obsessed with plucking in my magnifying mirror on a daily basis, had horrible waxing experiences in the past and get extremely red when waxed. My sister, step mom, aunts and cousins all were turned on to Anastasia brow bar and I FINALLY gave in and scheduled my appointment. It was AMAZING! I promised not to pluck over the next few months and they helped me to regrow my eyebrows to the proper shape. They have amazing after wax products that reduce the redness and irritation. Their brow pencil is great and lasts forever! They taught me how to properly color my eyebrows to look natural (makes a world of difference from my previous efforts). Their brow shadow is great! I LOVE the concealer stick! I have so many more good things to say but this is already a long post. :) read more

Recently went into their wedding section to find a decent designed -not over the top dress to wear to a wedding. The whole dept feels 'thrown together' with very little to choose from. The attendant working it had zero energy or even cared about helping me. They hang all these heavy, formal beaded gowns smashed together 2ft off the floor on super cheap -breaking crappy hangers. Why can't Nordstrom afford to use proper solid hangers? I had a look I needed...long sleeve -tea length typical dress in maybe something other than grey or navy? There was little to choose from and those that were were priced higher than other stores I'd seen. Perhaps long ago Nordstrom had dedicated-involved depts offering custom services surpassing others. Maybe like most retail employers, there isn't enough money to be made to attract caring, dedicated service workers willing to truly fawn over 'paying customers?' If that's true, they need to either up their pay & benefits and continue providing highest quality merchandise with expert help OR: get out of the 'over-priced Designer Clothes' Industry altogether, drop the SNOB attitude and join the ranks of other JCPenneys and Kohls -level retailers like the rest of us already have! I'll go to a Von Maur before I'll go back to Nordstrom again. read more

Nordstrom is my favorite store. But I had a very negative experience at this store today and I'll go out of my way to go to a different Nordstrom in the future. The sales women in the men's department refused to check me out - they told me I had to wait for the guy who was helping me. I know why they did this - they don't want to waste their time helping someone they won't get a commission on...the store manager needs to fix this culture. Why should I wait 10 minutes to check out when there's no line and 3 sales women standing at the counter? Not acceptable. read more

My favorite department store and always has been since the Oakbrook store opened. Great sales people and merchandise. But why a few days before Christmas is Nordstrom permitting anyone in the store without a mask in the middle of a pandemic and the Omicron outbreak? A group of three blonde young adults walking around the store apparently feeling they are exempt from the mask requirement and potentially infecting everyone in the crowded store. Can't fix stupid but you can kick them out. read more

Nordstrom's beauty bar gets a bad rep because of the blow out bar. Unfortunately the lack of coordination in the blow out bar really effects the overall experience at nordstrom's beauty bar. Dina and janelle in the nail bar are AMAZING! They do such a nice job and they ensure the health of your nails. I used to have many problems with breaking and unhealthy nails when i would get no chip manicures at other salons, but after going to nordstrom nails I will never go back. My nails stay healthy and do not break and the ladies in the nail bar do an amazing job at listening to what you want and doing it! They are very personable and make it a point to get to know you, they have a very welcoming atmosphere The eyebrow bar is also equally amazing, they do not wax off anymore than is necessary and their wax has never irritated my sensitive skin. Overall nordstrom beauty bar is amazing, do not base your opinion solely on the blowout bar. read more

I've never had a service here. Which isn't for lack of trying. I was so excited when I learned that this was being put in, and have been so disappointed ever since. Just trying to locate the telephone number requires hurdles, and them no one answers the phone. No one has returned my voicemails. So, I went in person, twice. The first time, I stood patiently by the door for 10 minutes while no less than 3 stylists walked around me, glared at me, and ultimately never spoke to me. There was one client there, btw. The other stylists were just gossiping. I gave it one more try. This time, someone did speak with me. I asked about same or next day appointments for blow drys. Nope-- didn't have anyone working. She offered to take my number and call me with availability in future. This isn't a blow dry bar and really isn't a salon. It's like a loose association of independent contractors. Not a star in the Nordstrom crown to say the least. Nordstrom either needs to commit to the appropriate staffing to run a salon or discontinue this boondoggle. read more
