Nordstrom Rack has a great deal on Nordstrom branded suit separates. $99 jacket and $40 pants. Mix and match sizes to get the right combo to fit you as needed. They also have on staff seamstress to make custom adjustments. I picked a couple sizes to try on and the staff was super courteous and helpful. Worth a visit if you need a suit. Ties were $20 to $25 so good deals to be had. read more

I came here looking for menswear and accessories the other day and unfortunately left empty-handed. The store is multiple levels but not actually that big so I was able to find what I was looking for fairly quickly. They had a lot of dress jackets and there were a few men trying some on in the aisles. The prices were decent, but I just wasn't able to find anything that I was looking for. I also checked out accessories like belts, ties and specifically I was looking for a leather messenger/ laptop type bag for men. They really didn't have anything like that, but the bag and luggage area was well organized even though there was a ton of overstock, ao much so that some was particularly blocking the entrance to the fitting rooms. I did also see a lot of extra luggage stored all along the glass divider near the escalators but again I couldn't find what I was looking for. I can't speak to the helpfulness of the staff because when I have been here they have been so busy I haven't been able to find someone to ask, without waiting in line at the cashier and I'm not willing to do that for a question. It would have been nice and helpful to have someone on the floor available to assist but I understand that they get busy. This is definitely a store worth stopping at for clothing, but in the future I will pass if I am looking for shoes or accessories. And even though it's not huge, just make sure that you have plenty of time to sort through the racks to find what you're looking for when you decide to stop in. read more

After popping into Men's Wearhouse and Marshall's we decided to roll the dice one more time and stopped into Nordstrom Rack. This Nordstrom Rack is an expansive, well organized and well lit two-story store that makes it easy to find items and sizes. Kudos to the staff for keeping all the displays neat when people are less than conscientious when they put things back. Because of its superb organization, it helped me, a really bad shopper, put an outfit together for my son. We bought designer pieces and basics that are well made and gently priced from Ted Baker to Calvin Klein and Cole Haan. Special thanks to Mark who gave us style advice and weighed in with options to help us build an outfit my son felt confident in from shoes up to a sport coat. Loved this store. The shoe selection was a bit overwhelming and the size of the store (2 levels) was amazing! They had a large selection of belts, ladies attire, a little bit of kids, accessories, some cosmetics and toiletries, a bit of men's and juniors items. Mostly, it was a store featuring items for women. I was able to do a lap in the store and find some toiletries and shoes that I wanted. My mother took close to 3 hours...that's because they had that much nice stuff. And this also took into account fitting room time. I'm not normally one to shop at Nordstrom Rack, but this location had a lot to choose from. I priced some On Cloud shoes elsewhere and this store had the best deal on them. New and discounted. Again, great service, huge selection, good value. The hardest part was finding a parking spot in the shopping area since the lot is shared parking for other neighboring stores. The weekends also tend to be more packed also. Next time I'm in the area, I'll be sure to check out this store. read more

I called about a Nordstrom's return (from Hillsdale) and if I could return it there. The manager made me feel really bad, because first of all okay, she said they can't take it back if it doesn't have tags (regular Nordstroms said they will), but then she went on to question me as why the tags were missing. Lady, you just told me you can't accept it, so why are you afterwards questioning me why the tags are missing if you already said you can't accept it for return? It feels accusatory and rude? This is with a receipt and something so uncomfortable and doesn't fit (bras). So caught off guard, I go on to explain to this lady manager on 12/29/24 for an item not even purchased in her store? I hardly go to Nordstrom Rack because they are usually chaotic, crazy busy and lacks product, opting for the regular Nordstrom department stores. Oh no.... This store was completely opposite. There were many many items that bedazzled me that I filled two carts worth of product ! What a surprise! The store manager is Gabby! What a ROCKSTAR ! She is a true professional. I ordered a couple pairs of shoes online but needed to return both. How should I send them back? In person or by mail? Nordstrom now allows returns to Nordstrom Rack even if you've bought at Nordstrom retail. Great. I'll take the shoes there. Checked the website for hours. Opens at 10am Monday. I ran a couple of errands today. Then went over to the Rack arriving around 10:40am. Pros - * dedicated area for orders and returns * efficient staff; one who apologized for the wait more than once. Cons: * be prepared to wait in line. There were about a dozen people ahead of me * waited about 1/2 hour start to finish. People with order pickup has priority over people with returns. I used to love shopping at The Rack. Unfortunately, over the years it has really slipped both in quality of merchandise, organization, and service. There is almost always a line a mile long at check out, and they don't separate it from returns. This makes things really inconvenient for those of us who shop online but return in person when necessary -- we have to wait in these long lines of regular checkout in order to return something that should've been quick. It's at least a 45 ordeal. Further, at this particular location, it feels now like rummaging through a garage sale rather than an actual shopping experience. Customer service is BAD Purchased a pair of pants, and one of the buttons was falling off. Before purchasing I asked him that I would only purchase if they could fix it in alterations. I went to alterations, he printed me a ticket and told me to go back to customer service. Customer service told me I owed them 7$ for the alteration. One of the best locations in the SF Bay Area to do some bargain hunting during their Clear the Racks! This store used to be located down the hill at the 280 Metro Center within the Colma Town Limits - and it had definitely improved since they've crossed the freeway & joined the hustle & bustle of Serramonte Center! During the last few years, Serramonte has regained its position in this part of the Peninsula as the undisputed, and sought after retail, dining, and entertainment destination! I usually find myself here whenever it's Clear the Racks, as merchandise that's already red-ticketed have an additional 25% off! Who doesn't like discounts?! Haha. I always hit up the 2nd floor, as the mens department is up there - and even though, it seems like a maze to trek up there, with clutter all around - I don't mind the mess, as it's part of the thrill of bargain hunting! This particular store is 2 stories, and they seem to have everything well-stocked across different departments - from apparel, footwear, home furnishings, accessories, and everything else in between that you'd usually find at bargain stores similar to the Rack - however, at a little more upscale version from the usual discount stores such as Ross, Marshalls, and TJ Maxx. You could always snag a good deal here - whatever items you're down to hunt for, and it's always worth the patience (and the wait, as there seems to be a long line during the weekends that I've gone here, LOL). Highly recommended for those living in the Gateway to the Peninsula - that's Daly City and the vicinity for the geographically-minded! And I agree with some of the reviews here, this location definitely beats having to find parking/paying to park to be able to visit the Market Street location in Downtown SF! I had ordered a couple pairs of pants for pickup at this location and found the pick up process easy and straightforward. It's cool that even though the pants I ordered were full price items, I could still come and pick it up from a Rack location versus driving out of my way to the closest full price Nordstrom retail store. Their pickup and return counters are separate, with two different lines for each transaction. However, because I also had a couple of items that I wanted to return at the same time, the sales associate accommodated me at the pickup counter. Rude cashier called Eliza Choi. Came to return my clothes for my family member and she asked for their name. I gave it. Then she asked for phone number. I gave it. Finally she asked for Order Number, I didn't bring it and was struggling to locate on my phone since the internet wasn't working. She doesnt smile or anything, stares at me blankly and rudely. So I asked if she could look up on the system with phone number and name. She said she needed the Order Number. I said my phone isnt working right now and I didnt want to leave to ask my relative since I waited so long in line. She asks for order number again despite my pleading her to try to find in system. After asking several times if she can find in the system and making me wait and struggle with my phone, she asked for the email address. I started saying the email address, she interrupts me while I'm spelling out the address out loud by telling me to "write it down". It's not even a complicated email. I wrote it down and she then inputs the email. Seems pretty reluctant to do her work. Not even a smile or a please or thank you. Meanwhile I am holding up the line unnecessarily. I found her so rude despite my trying to be nice to her. I dont believe she cannot look up my order with the name and phone number. She shouldnt even work in front with customers if shes so unpleasant. Needs to work in the back away from people. read more

This store has a great selection of designer jeans. I go to the dentist office in this center and usually check out this store afterwards. Throughout the time, I was impressed with their jeans selection. But this time I'm writing a review to complement the staff. Apolonia is the lady who super patient with me and helped me with an exchange. The price tag on the item I wanted ti get was mixed up, but she patiently went through the process of helping me. I used to be in customer service and know how stressful it could be when many people are waiting in line to be helped. But she remained kind and patient the whole time. I really appreciate staff like her everywhere I go. She should get a promotion! I took one star off my review because the store layout makes it a bit challenging to navigate through items and shop for what you need. read more

I'm just about done with Nordstrom. People are expected to pay premium prices for Nordstrom clothing shipped to this store only to spend 20 mins waiting in line to return the item if it doesn't fit. Help is non existent. I wasted close to two hours of time. Nordstrom's consolidation isn't working. I don't blame the employees as they are clearly over worked and probably are not rewarded with any decent compensation as Nordstrom had in the past. read more

I'm usually giving this NR a lot of positive feedback at this location but lately I've been noticing that this location is lacking sales associates in the fine jewelry and accessories section. I'm a very patient person who understands how much retail associates have to deal with these days but come on...I patiently waited for 45 minutes to get any help with a simple request for an item in their fine jewelry showcase. This store needed to hire more staff to help with their business...to make the situation worse...the sales associate could have grabbed what I wanted while she was helping another customer with merchandise from the same showcase and brought both of our items to the cash register...on a side note I left the store to shop next store at TJMAX...came back and it was ridiculous to find that there was only one sales associate serving the fine jewelry/accessories area of this NR store. My questions are who is managing this store and why is this store managed so poorly. The management should know better that this department gets very busy thus should be staffed accordingly...but I guess they don't care about this issue and it shows how much they care about their customers. read more

I am currently inside the store. Before making a purchase I wanted to use the restroom- see the photos below of what I found in each stall. As far as I know this is USA and we do have a health department. The attached photos will be forwarded to the health department asap. Fecal matter on the floor? Overflowing trash cans? I couldn't set my foot inside this horrible health hazard. The dressing rooms are not much better. This is 4 pm. The store opened at 11. Judging from the look of the store it has not been cleaned in a long time. I know we are all looking for good deals in fashionable clothing but- whoever is a management here needs to be fired. Fast . This is literally the worst store ever. I ordered an item online and requested to pick it up at Nordstrom Rack in Daly City. I was informed my order was ready and when I went to pick it up, the store was closed. There was a sign outside that said the store was closing early at 2:30pm due to weather conditions. So I drove back the next day at 10:30am and the store was closed with another sign that said they are opening late due to weather conditions. There were lots of other people trying to get into the store and they were all turned away because it was closed when it should have been open. At this point I am fed up. I called Nordstrom Customer service and they said there is no way for them to cancel the order or for me to pick up the item at another store location. They said the only way to cancel is to call the store directly. I have called the store over 10 times and cannot reach anyone. I get one ring tone and then a busy tone. I cannot reach anyone to talk to. At this point, I have to wait 7 days in order for the order to be automatically cancelled in order to get a refund. This is the worst store ever. The fact that this store can change hours to their liking opening and closing the store whenever they want is a big sign this store isn't going to last long and will be closing permanently. Don't ever shop here!! There's a reason there are LOTS of 1 star reviews for a reason. read more

This use to be a place I loved to come and shop but no longer a good experience. Might as well be shopping at TJ Max next door (don't get me wrong I love stores like that but it's a different experience) They moved all merchandise to long racks and it's a free for all and no order. The Good: I just scored a sick ass pair of Dior sunglasses for $99.97 The Bad: They really ought to be ashamed at the state of their bathrooms, I sure hope that their employees bathrooms are cleaner. The organization of the store is pure chaos even for the most savvy bargain shopper. I much very so liked the Rack when it was in the Colma Center near Marshalls and Ulta, oh those were the days! I also believe that with Stonestown shutting down that this location of The Rack gets the hand-me-downs after 9th St and Market St Racks get their picks. All in all, you're better off at the 9th Street Rack but if you're really trying to score a deal go out to the Westgate Rack in South Bay, best Rack hands down. Does anyone manage this Nordstrom rack?!?!? I have to agree with the reviews that the employees are busy chit chatting and to get someone to open a display to help takes half an hour . Shouldn't the managers delegate the associates to attend and stay at the areas than to wonder all over the store? No one cleans up the handbags and place them in the correct area under the correct designer? Shoes are thrown all over the floors and no one seems to be in the department organizing anything? Clothes are dumped on counter and racks or the floors and no one picks them up? The customers do not have manners to put things back but it is expected in retail. Sometimes I am putting things back because it is so messy and I do not work there. But being a manager myself tells me the manager should be walking the floors and ensuring the store is organize and clean throughout the day. Do your job !!! The only reason for the two stars is for the security lady that sits in front greeting every customer that come in, and the alterations department who gives great service. We stop in Nordstrom Rack Room any time we drive North to San Francisco. We couldn't find it on the way up, and we learned that it had moved. We found the new store near Macy's in the Serramonte Center on the way back south. It is easier to get to than the other store, which involved arcane lane changes and U-turns, and parking seemed about the same. The store is new, and as with many new discount stores, the DNA of the merchandise has not yet ripened into the myriad assortment of bargains that the other store offered. The store was clean and easy to figure out, but some of the favorite, higher priced designers are gone. There seemed to be more size selection, and I did score a great Eileen Fisher sweater. The check out was truly the slowest I have ever experienced. I mean the check out people moved slowly, like they were in jello. I did try to check out at the express check out counter first, and the machine did not work, putting me way back in the line at the main counter. We will continue hitting the rack, but we'll allow more time for check out next time. read more
