5 stars for my experience picking up & returning the two pairs of sandals I bought from the Nordstrom's Rack website. I've worked in retail and it's stressful under the best circumstances, let alone current circumstances with COVID and businesses trying to play catch up with staffing/hiring. So I extra appreciate how helpful, friendly, and funny both Daisy and Niki (the names listed on my return receipts) were during the transactions I had for picking up & deciding to return my items. If I could give zero stars I would when I went to go pay for things the cashier her name was oanh t she was very rude she threw the receipt in the bag and kept giving me dirty looks went to another cashier to tell her that she was being rude she had a ponytail and glasses and brown hair she just said oh the customer service is very bad def won't be going back there read more

Yay, I've been waiting forever for this place to open and today is the day ! I like checking Nordstrom rack for their shoe selections . They usually have great prices on better quality shoes . Today the place was packed and lines were ridiculous! They had lots of friendly staff keeping the store organized and lines moving . They have a good size handbag and accessory department. Lots of cute tops and skirts. Today they had long racks of clearance items. Happy that they finally opened doors here in Folsom . read more

My family and I went here today to check out the new Nordstrom Rack at the Palladio. Let me say how excited I am to have a Nordstrom Rack just five minutes from our home. Dangerous! Lots of parking outside this establishment! A great plus. We went in and was greeted by a nice staff member welcoming us in. To the right you will find the accessories including jewelry, scarves, sunglasses, watches and cosmetics. On the left you will find handbags, luggages and backpacks. Overall, every different department was labeled and had appropriate signs above them so customers could find their items. In the middle of the store you will have a hodgepodge of clothing for mostly women, juniors, athletic gear and the clearance/sale section. The back of the Nordstrom Rack you will find the shoes. Oh my goodness. It was overwhelming. Lots of shoes everywhere! The kids shoes were a hot mess and very disorganized. The ladies shoes were neat and tidy, all boxed up so you didn't have to go ask an associate for the matching pair. There is even a designer label area for shoes which such designers as Tory Burch, Cole Hahn, Chloe, Coach, etc etc. The markdowns weren't extremely low but they were lower than what you would find at the Department stores full price. I didn't spend too much time in the "home" department. The handbags department was very limited but I think it was because it was Mothers Day weekend and lots of merchandise cleared out. I did see handbag brands such as Marc by MJ, Dooney, Coach, MK, LeSportSac, Calvin Klein, and others. The line I stood in went pretty fast and the associate ringing up was very personable and engaging. I would definitely come back again when I don't have a screaming toddler with me! read more

So happy about Nordstorm Rack opening closer to home/work. I love everything about the store from the merchandise to their customer service. Bad thing is I always end up spending more than I should lol but I'm always able to find the cutest shoes for my daughters and myself . This is a hit or miss. Nordstrom racks places all the clothes that do not sell at their Nordstrom flagship stores here after they get new inventory. You can get some pretty great deals but this location is often picked over and has a random selection of clothing and shoes. I have been checking here for men's dress suits but have had little success. One would have to visit this place weekly to find anything of real use for a wardrobe. Prices are marked down significantly but are still a bit on the high side. I would recommend buying what you need when you need it from other locations but try for yourself. Its like the clothing lottery here as that seems to be the chances of finding anything you might actually need and then find it in your size. Good luck shoppers. read more

Second time in a Nordstrom rack and they had the worst customer service at this location. They are not friendly and made me feel like I was doing something wrong when I had a exchange with a RECEIPT on a pair of shoes I purchased that were damaged when I got them. Checking the inside bottom and making sure I gave her a right shoe and left is ridiculous. She did the same thing with the shoes I exchanged them for! Also They had security watching me as I looked at the makeup. I have been in retail a longtime so I know who is undercover LP. Honestly I feel it was racial profiling. This place is a wreck. It used to be great, when they had things separated by brand and nicely displayed on shelves, now it's just like Ross, possibly worse. There's no space between the billion racks of random clothes, and there are hardly any brand name items anymore. This used to be one of my favorite stores, but it's truly awful now. Half the store is pillows/blankets/decorations that look like they were found at goodwill. It's so bad. Marshall's is a better option for a discount store now. The only reason I give 2 stars is because their shoe section can be good! Everything else is trash. read more

Needs some serious help. I'd rather drive out to Roseville. I was so excited to finally have a Rack in Folsom. I anxiously waited for them to open, but I was disappointed when it did. I visited the weekend of the grand opening, and I excused the lack of inventory, attributing it to being "picked over" due to the crowd. So, I gave it a try again a few weeks later. Still, I was disappointed with the amount and the lack of diversity in the inventory. The store is smaller then the Roseville location, but I feel like the displays could have been redone to fit more and make the store more interesting to shop. It feels like a tjmax/marshals not a Nordstrom. (Don't get me wrong, I love tjmax and marshals, but I feel like Nordstrom should offer their customers a little more) A interior designer needs to come in and fix it... The swimsuit display was dismal and one of the bottoms that I flipped through had a large stain. Ew! I hardly saw any casual dresses, and zero cocktail/occasion dresses. The selection of tops&pants were very redundant; similar styles/colors in different brands - lots of basics. I also didn't see a selection of high end brands. They DO have a pretty good sized selection of shoes but that's about it. The customer service was also average/poor. It looked like everyone was keeping busy, but nobody looked like they were enjoying themselves. Nobody greeted me or asked if I needed anything. Even when I was walking around obviously looking for someone to answer my question, nobody was in sight, when I did find someone and made eye contact, she looked away as if she didn't see me. She was young, it may have been a shy/maturity issue, but the manager needs to instill some customer service skills. I want some more diversity, more fashion forward selections and better customer service. I have been a Nordstrom customer for years, I expect more. There was so much potential and so many people looking forward to it opening. Good news is, there is room for improvement! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it gets better. read more

This has become my new favorite place. I've found so many little gems at this location, and my bank account ain't even mad either. They've got a good assortment of things for everyone, but I especially like their little Free People section, as well as their shoe selection. I can never find anything cute in my size, but I find that I always leave with a little too much from here. The staff is really friendly, super helpful, and just overall attentive and kind. There's never really a wait at the fitting room, and they don't make you feel like you're stealing even before you get into a room. The lines at the register gets pretty long on the weekends, so I would suggest stopping by during the week if you can. It's a significantly different experience in my opinion. I came here once on a Saturday and it was absolute madness. If you're in the area it's definitely worth a visit. read more

Not Nordstrom that your used to. I think they have lost their customer service somewhere in between the real stores, online, and the rack. We were helped by Jody. Second time I've come and been helped by her w a return. One was a gift from my mother purchased in sj store, and other was a dress online. I also had purchased a pair a shoes that were too small and needed to return. She said no to the shirt, made me drive 40 mile to Nordstrom, even though it had return tag on it. Then on the second return they said no 3 times before a manager came. I shop here as much for their return policy as their stuff. Not anymore. I can get this type of service at Ross. And after seeing this repeated in other reviews, maybe its their intent to roll back a bit on their old return policy's, at customers expense. read more

The selection is not as good as Arden or Roseville, neither are the prices, or at least I haven't found any amazing deals at the Folsom location but the others I have. I stop by once in a while if I need a white t-shirt or want to look at shoes but I'm still waiting to be blown away. read more

Staff needs a lot of help on how to treat customer first of all they need to not make comments over their radios and have the whole staff laugh at you for asking a question. Went in with my 7 year old son to find a pair of jeans. I found 2 pair that I wanted to try on. The fitting room attendant stated that if I wasn't going to purchase them, to leave them hanging in the fitting room. After I tried on both pair, and decided they were too big, I headed out of the fitting room to get a smaller pair to try on, when a different fitting room attendant asked where my clothing was. When I said that it was hanging in the fitting room, and explained that the first attendant asked me to leave the jeans hanging, she laughed and muttered something under her breath. I did not respond to her insult. I grabbed my son's hand and made a beeline to the exit. I am not sure if this lady was just having a really bad day, but that is not my problem. Needless to say, her mocking me in front of my 7-year old son was a little surprising. I used her actions an example to teach him that this in NOT how to act with other people. When my son asked me why she acted the way she did, I did not know what to say. To be fair, the few times that I have gone in to this store, I have experienced decent customer service. My wife generally does the shopping for me, since my sense of style is a little outdated, but I thought it would be a nice outing with my son, as I was looking for shoes for him too. This is my favorite RACK. They have a HUGE selection of shoes for men and women. As far as clothes go it can be a hit or miss but that is typical for all Racks. I always go here for my shoes for myself and my husband. Best deals in town. read more

I ordered boots online on Black Friday, still haven't received them. I got an email they were shipped back to the ONTRAC delivery company. They claim they attempted 3 deliveries but Im home all day .I "chatted with the Nordstrom Rack representative and she said she could not leave delivery instructions and they will not cancel the order until the boots arrive. I asked her what if they never arrive? Never again will I order anything online as they dont use UPS or FEDEX but instead some cheaper, incompetent delivery company. read more

I gave him the sku, he found it and held for me until I got to the store. Not the friendliest place. Specifically the Apparel Manage Rae. Came here with a friend to go wedding season dress shopping since we both have multiple coming up. We went heavy on the clearance rack and each tried on about 5 or 6 dresses. Each found THE one. When we got to the register they didnt ring up on clearance so we mentioned it. The cashier asked another associate if my dress should be on sale and she said yes and gave her an explanation why. The cashier then asked for the Apparel Manager who was very rude about the whole transaction and very unapologetic. After several more visits to the new Nordstrom RACK in Folsom, CA it continues to disappoint! It appears they have added no inventory since the grand opening at the end of April. Selection is extremely poor with cheap brands dominating the cracker box size store. Again...I am soooo terribly disappointed in RACK! As far as the men's selection, every department is lacking, with very few, if any, higher end brands that you would expect to find at Nordstrom Rack such as Zegna, Canali, Incotex, Brioni, Allen Edmonds, Magnanni, APC, y-3. The store seems quite a bit smaller too. read more
