This Nordstrom Rack is located in the plaza with Office Depot and Best Buy. It's a large space, where they have some hit-or-miss handbags and purses (the clearance table was a total mess, and there was one dual-colored Kate Spade crossbody bag that was cute; otherwise, the other bags were just a hot mess); the accessories were minimal; the makeup section was decent, as they had Caudalie (makeup remover that smelled so refreshing and nice!); the shoes section was underwhelming (but, they had these cute glittery Jimmy Choo kitten heels); and, racks upon racks of clothing (I'm sure if you did enough digging, you can find some great pieces; overall, it was more of the Nordstrom-brand/generic brand of tops, but there was one Marni sweater that was of a decent price (but, an 'off' color). Check-out is slightly slow, even with about 6 cashiers on-site. HUGE women's selection of clothes, shoes, accessories, and everything else in between (men's selection is much smaller but there are a good amount of things and sales for the fellas!)!! I love coming here and finding fantastic deals on great quality/name brand dresses and accessories. Sometimes you can find AWESOME deals; I once bought a super adorable knitted beanie for $0.99 and the original price was $50ish - YAAAY!!! I'm obsessed with it and I get lots of compliments when I wear it hehe. The store is well organized - you can easily find the clearance racks and usually these have items that are actually clearance items (don't you hate when you find something cute on the sale rack and then realize later it isn't actually on sale? The struggles!!). The employees are quite helpful and friendly! If the lines get too long and you are paying with a credit card, you can usually ask an employee to do an Express checkout and skip the lines. ...what happened to this place? I used to live in the area and frequented this location, and have found many awesome deals in the past. However, I moved to a different city in Montgomery County last year and have not visited for at least a year. When I came back tonight, I was shocked at how much the quality of the selection has declined since my last visit. Their handbags and wallets section, for one, is...for lack of a better word, a joke. One whole table of velour/terry cloth Juicy Couture bags, 3 Kate Spade bags TOTAL from a few seasons ago, and a bunch of other no-name leather totes that were priced well above their worth. Shoe section was equally disappointing. Steve Madden heels for $55? You're better off waiting for the Steve Madden store itself to have of their promotions (which happens often). Past season Tory Burch flats: $170. Way past season Coach sneakers: $80. Are you kidding? I've seen better deals at the department store itself. Maybe I expected too much. To find a good deal here, you really do have to dig--and that means staying here for hours on end, sifting through every last rack. That's not something I have the patience to do and, to be honest, if you spend that time hunting around on the Internet, I guarantee you that the deals you find will be just as good... if not BETTER, and for current season goodies at that. read more

Have I died and gone to heaven? I'm sure stores like this - in fact, I KNOW stores like these - are very heavily based on luck. Some days you find stuff, some days you don't. But I found some great pairs of Rock & Republics for 1/2 off the retail price here...plus they didn't even need to be hemmed (not majorly, anyway)! When I went, there was a SEA of Seven for All Mankinds in the Men's section. Literally, a TON! Their R&R selection was better than actual Nordstrom. As Udunnome said, you won't get Nordstrom personalized attention, but let me tell you that the staff here is quite friendly and ready to assist any request. I find myself here every Saturday to see what's new in the Men's department. I like to update my wardrobe all the time, and unfortunately I've developed champagne tastes. Thankfully, this store makes it easy to pick up an Ermenegildo Zegna tie or David Donahue shirt for roughly 1/3 of it's original cost. You've got to be willing to sift, and hopefully you'll be kind and put your items back; but the end result is a fantastic set of clothes for minimal cost. Not only that, they carry luggage, shoes, and various other items as well. My only real complaint (if you can call it that) is that the lines can get long. The staff do a fantastic job of processing the lines quickly and making your shopping experience as straightforward as possible. You know, I really would like to love Nordstrom Rack. Sure they have lots of brand name stuff here for supposedly a bargain price... but how come I can never find anything to buy here? :( I really would like to love their shoes section too. How come I can never find anything cute in my size? :( I understand a good bargain doesn't fall from the sky and in Nordstrom Rack you'd definitely have to look for them.. dig into the racks.. fight with all those other ladies with the same purpose as you. Careful: they have a new security guy who is plainclothes and "greets" you at the door, as IF/give me a BREAK. Also: I noticed a floor manager in the handbag section racially profiling a woman. The woman -- who eventually left without buying -- actually called her out, too, which was FANTASTIC. Their waiting/extreme lines are MUCH better, especially with the pay-from-the-floor option. But, I didn't like what I saw with that big guy on the door & the floor manager's conduct. I didn't have the appetite to buy anything (even though I made the long trip to pick up something I had my eye on last week). I left, also without buying. I just don't have it in me. I wasn't born a sifter. I've tried converting, but I'm beginning to think it really may not be in my future unless I were to become homeless. I can't deal with sifting, being handed a number to try stuff on, not being able to take shoes into the fitting room when trying to put a whole outfit together, not being able to find the same garment in a different size after I try it on, lack of organization, crazy long lines, not very helpful staff, etc The bathroom is decent. I usually shop at Nordies, but the reality of the times has caught up with me. I've begun venturing into the Rack, and I don't like it one bit. I'd rather not shop at all, or at least avoid the sifting process and shop at Target. I know, I know... it's a huge leap from Nordies to Target, but I'm a very black and white person (literally and figuritivly... hmmm). Nordstrom Rack is the size of a department store in a mall. They are very organized stocked by brand and within the brand stocked by size. There is a high turnover of items at this store so expect something new every visit. Because it is rack, everything is 'on-sale' from msrp. Take that with a grain of salt. If you spent $50 on a $100 msrp item, you still spent $50. There is an employee before the cash registers who direct people which register to use. He or she asks if you're paying with a card and if you want to keep the coat hangers. Alright, cool. The job felt superfluous a la the yelp employee who constantly remove my reviews. I hope they bring you joy unlike all the other basic AF reviews before you shift into no-chill mode. read more

This is one of treasure hunting places for me. Every a few months, they have quite some new stuff coming in. The prices are really inexpensives for some pretty good brands. I bought two suits here. The tailor service is good too, also very inexpensive, cheaper than that of Macy's and Lord & Taylor. But if you value decent shopping experience more than price, this is not a place for you. This is a great Nordstrom Rack - lots of quality merchandise and a huge shoe department. There is always a long line but it moves quickly because the cashiers are very efficient. Despite a decent selection, the shoe area can be a little overwhelming. The dark aisles are very narrow and there are so many stacked shelves of shoes to look through. Still, you can find great brands at discounted prices if you have the patience (and a headlamp!! j/k). read more

Yay! I am definitely a fan always here to get designer clothes for cheap! I got 3 pairs of lacoste shoes from here, my citizen jeans, and a bunch of other misc items. I always find good deals here but it takes some time. A few times I've come by myself and the employees are awesome especially Solana she helped me pick out a few pairs of shoes. There is usually a line but guess what? You can check out with anyone who works there, they all carry like an iphone to check you out. Its definitely going to be a hunt to find the right size, style, and right price. Its a lot of fun, I don't like coming on weekends I always come on weekdays when it's slower. It's hot and cold like many outlet locations - sometimes I'm here when it's bare bones but this time they must've moved all their anniversary sale leftovers to this spot. I ain't complainin'. I spy with my brown eye (was scopin'/winkin') a petite denim piece my size and about 40% off. Save on hemming with original fraying? Check. Dark skinny-straight-not-cutting-circulation-appropriate-for-office? Checkeroonie. I was happy - Gangnam style!!! (Imagine the dude in the elevator bustin' his move but me doin' the same in their fitting room. Wait, are there cameras?!) Plus it's so convenient when you're able to pay without waiting in line. Just find their lovelies in green shirts to complete the transaction with their portable swipey thingy. If paying by cash/check you do have to wait in line. But yay for me. Good thing too since I initially saw a Tory Burch slim card case next to the register line minutes ago for around $45. Have been to this store numerous times and not sure why, but every new visit turns so-so. The selection of shoes have definitely gone down compared to the last few years. The clothes and blazers are not as stylish as before and customer service has gone down, too. During my last visit, shoe selection was the same as 4-5 months ago. I saw the same types of shoes from before, so kind of boring there. I had to return a Michael Kors watch, so picked out some clothes and went to the cash register. The woman who served us first asked if I had bought the item that I wanted to return from Nordstrom Rack... It's obvious since I wanted to return it, right?!? Then she scanned my receipt and asked if it was a watch. I simply said yes, it's a watch... Again, the box that I gave her should have made her realize it was a watch!!! Or she could have opened it to scan the barcode on the watch, right?!? Common sense! Then she got flustered and scanned some of the other items thinking I was returning them as well when I told her it was ONLY the watch I wanted to return! And the other stuff were new items I wanted to purchase. Not really sure what was going on with that woman, but made my check out experience a little unpleasant when it should have been a simple customer service ring up..... read more

Everytime I get my hair trimmed, I stop by here and what bargain this store has! Of course, at just like any other outlet stores, it requires tentative selection process to check for defects, quality and sizes. However, the overall selection is far better than those average outlet stores. No, you will not receive Nordstrom service but who cares when you pay less than half of what you would pay in retail? Only complaints I have are the long lines and lack of pet dedicated section. But I made peace with animal discrimination. If you like bargains, you'll like em. I got my snazzy collar for 2 bucks. I'm always optimistic shopping here, but in reality I am a tad too tall and a tad too old for most of the clothing and shoes. Loads of clothings, pretty neatly racked and not a fuss or a huge line for the changing rooms. Big wait for cashiers and you need to make sure they remove the ink things that prevent shoplifting. This place has it all. Affordable prices, a large selection, quality options, customer service, floating cashiers and a welcoming vibe. The Rack is one of my shopping go-tos and they always deliver. Lots of designer shoes, clothes, handbags, fragrances, sunglasses, etc. at a convenient location. The only thing they're missing is the cafe. But you can't have it all for less. I called this store to locate an item that my local store did not have in my size. First, when I called there were far too many messages about "sorry we'll be closing early today for inventory", then "Womens clothes are on sale", then Men's clothes will be on sale", then "here's what's on sale in the men's clothing sale", then finally if you know your parties extension, etc... finally, I got "for customer service press 5." Then I got someone on and told her what I was looking for and she said so you need womens.... and I said yes, she transferred me and after a bit I got the same girl on the line, then she apologized and tried again, and I finally got a tired sounding employee, who after I explained what I was looking for, said, hold on I need to get a pen, and put me on hold... forever. I finally hung up after spending about $5 on this phone call with no resolution. Out of all Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack stores, This one has the worst customer service level I have ever encountered. read more

I work in the spa and wellness industry, where five-star customer service is non-negotiable. You either give excellent customer service every single time, or you lose your clients to the competition. So when I walk into a discount clothing merchandiser, and I receive the same level of five-star customer service I am used to giving, it is deserving of a shout-out. I believe the young cashier's name was Jane, and she was simply awesome. I did not feel rushed when I went to check out, I did not feel judged for fishing around for change while there was a line behind me, and she was very amenable when I needed to split the transaction between my debit and my credit card. I've gotten the stink-eye and the big sigh in other places for just one of these checkout offenses... not here. Not at all. THIS is why Nordstrom Rack gets my business and my hard-earned money, even though it is out of my way and not in as convenient of a location as my local Ross, T.J. Maxx, and Marshall's. Those are all good places, but I want service as good as I give it, and this is where I get that. Plus the clothes and shoes are freaking amazing. And affordable. 'Nuf said. read more

Some people get overwhelmed by The Rack but I go in knowing exactly what I'm looking for and I get it done. Jeans and shoes. Best place to get designer jeans and shoes heavily discounted. Overstock from last season, maybe a minor defect or something, nothing noticeably wrong with the product. I've purchased Diesel, AG, and 7 Jeans here for like 40-70% for 5-6 years in a row. Each season it's hit or miss on what you're going to find but it's always worth looking. They have an in house tailor so you can get the jeans hemmed on site which is convenient. Their shoe game can be great too. You aren't going to find Gucci or super high end brands but they have some nice mid level quality like To Boot NY and Cole Haan at great prices. You just have to dig a little bit to find the right shoe and you're in! I've also found some good deals on leather jackets here. I would suggest going early if you're going on the weekend because it gets crowded and the check out gets a little crazy. They added an express checkout which helps though. I come to this store from time to time. Most recently I went to purchase an item that I saw a week prior, a winter coat. I looked online and there was the same coat on the nordstrom rack website for like $20 cheaper. I figured with tax and shipping it would be the same as getting it in store so i went back to the store to purchase the coat. There were 3 coats left in 3 different sizes (small, medium and large). I knew i wanted the medium size so i grabbed that and went to the express checkout (which is amazing because you avoid the long line). Apparently the coat didn't have a bar code so i went and get another size which i thought had it and was told by an associate that the coat was $297 dollars which didn't seem right to me because i saw the markdown price on the tag the week prior and on the day i wanted to purchase it and it said $219. I try to tell the lady that thats not the correct price and she said the $297 was what was coming up and that it was correct. They clearly didn't have the right tag for that other coat brought up so I had to go back again and show the lady the correct tag on the last coat on the rack that clearly said $219. Had I not done this I would have been overpaying. I wasn't happy about this because it was taking more time than i had anticipated all because either didn't have a price tag on the coat or they didn't have the correct one so they need to be better at putting the correct tags (a tag in general) on their products so to avoid customer service issues like this. Now I am a little skeptical about going back there because what if the same thing happens where it is not marked properly and I am overpaying for something that I shouldn't be overpaying for? There's a reason why I not only continue to come back here again and again, but also that I have a Nordstrom's card because of how frequently I shop here. They have everything for my office, gift, to casual needs. The price is ALWAYS right. Do NOT get me started on their shoe section because I could go on and on. Being a fan of Nordstrom, it's natural to also love it's discounted distant cousin store, Nordstrom Rack. I'm guessing it's kind of like an outlet version of Nordstrom because it has some of the brands you see and some probably didn't sell well at the main store. In any case, my wife seems to ALWAYS find a great deal. I like to roam the shoe section where I've found quite a few nice kicks. Of course the women's section is huge and you get a good selection of kids clothes and shoes as well. What I like about NR is that it's got great prices and you can sometimes find a jewel. They bring in new items frequently so it feels like a new shopping experience each time. I also like to bring the stroller in there since it has a lot of space to push around a sleeping 3 month old! Also my 3 year old can always find somewhere to hide in the racks. If your a fan of Nordstrom, the Rack ain't all that bad. You can find good deals if you look hard enough! I love shopping here, I can literally shop here all day long with no complain. I love how I can sometimes hunt for my kids burberry stuffs for such surprise price ( clearance). And my husband also myself a luxury brand name in a very affordable price and great discount. Some staffs are friendly some are not so, it would be great if they all can put a smile a their face a little bit instead of stare at the customer and that make me feel uncomfortable sometimes. Nordstrom Rack is a great place to find great deals on designer clothing, but you have to look for them. There are a lot of high end designer labels at reasonable prices, but they have to be found. Many times, you have to look hard to find a great deal in your size. A lot of designer items can be had for 1/3rd of the retail price from Nordstrom. Some of the items I have bought there, I could not find in my size so I took to get altered, to get it fitted perfectly. The item & alteration I would still consider a bargain! Many of the items originate from Nordstrom, but I think a lot of those items were never in Nordstrom, but probably liquidated elsewhere. If you have an hour or two to look for clothes and bargains, this is a good place to shop, but if you prefer in & out, then this is not the place for you. read more

This is a great place to shop. Like everyone else said, you have to be willing to dip through things. My biggest concern is the long line at the check out. I was very disappointed today by their return policy. I bought a swimming suit at the end of April for the summer, I never wore it, it still had the labels and price attached and the panty liner, I brought the receipt and wanted to return it today. They did not want it back and did not offered any kind of refund or exchange. We are only July 2nd, they could have easy sold it again since it was obviously not worn....i'm not happy. read more
