It's just one of those stores that you can't really go into with something in mind. It's usually kinda messy so you gotta take your time. Unfortunately for me, I have NO patience to sort through the endless racks of clothes. However, once in a while I will actually come across something. Like jeans! I like this Rack- not as large as the Burbank store, but also not as insane. There is a nice steady flow of merchandise and in the past few years they have tripled their shoe inventory. Ask the staff what days they get in new stock- (Tues Wed) and use your phone to check the pries against what is available on like- as sometimes the Rack is more than other regular retailers. You can find brand name shoes, dresses, jewelry, facial products, and clothing all at great prices. Their sale racks don't hurt either. I found a pair of cute shoes marked 75% off and it came out to be about $6 with tax. How can you beat that? Their baby items are adorable, not that I'm pregnant or anything. But, it's a good place to go baby or baby shower shopping too. They have a great selection of elegant and fashionable jewelry. I found a pair of sparkly studs for less than $10. Nordstrom's is Nordstrom's... even if it comes down to them making a mistake.... Came here to pick up what my wife called "just a couple of things." By the time we were on our way out, we had a good handful of items. While ringing us up, I found out our cashier rang us up for the same item 2x's. I was a little bit afraid the store would figure I was trying to pull a fast one on them, I gave them a call. They initially wanted me to come in to take care of the correction, which I thought was a bit ridiculous since the transaction was all electronic... I ended up speaking to one of the managers, Yolanda, who said she'd review things, and see what she could do. Instead of having me sit on hold, she took my name and number, and gave me a call back once she figured things out. She ended up refunding the incorrect amount onto my credit card, without me having to come in. Considering how busy we've been, I'm glad she was able to help us out... again even though it stemmed from an error their own, they made a good recovery... The store itself? A smaller men's section overall. A huge section which my wife wanted to spend a lot more time in... Enough to keep us both pretty happy... Employees are all reasonably nice. Some of the customers are a bit dumb in how they block everything with their carts, but you can't blame the store for them.... read more

A very chill Nordstrom Rack, with very seldom crowds. The store is relatively small, but I seem to always find something here that is of quality and what I was looking for. The sizes are pretty well spread throughout the range, so finding the right size for most people should not be a problem. Parking might be the worst part of the store, as it is located in a mall setting, with some pretty bad drivers. I would say this is my backup store after Hastings Ranch for quality and selection. I enjoy the the people here, who are not stressful, and always have a calm demeanor. I always come to this Nordstrom Rack! Even though they don't have a huge selection for the guys, I usually find myself spending about $50+ every single time I come here. The people at the register and walking around can be friendlier, but if you were running around folding, picking up clothes, arranging everything all day you would be the exact same way. Parking is one of the only things that I would say is a ding on this place. Entering the parking lot is usually a pain in the butt. Every time I come here it seems like there are a handful of new drivers backing out of parking spaces. Smaller than most rack stores but gets the job done. The racks are tightly packed and the aisles are crowded and the people that frequent the place are rude. You really have to stand your ground and stake out the place if you want to find stuff. So pretty much you have to be as rude as the customers that frequent this location to find a good deal. They will get shoulder to shoulder with you as you pick through the racks and expect you to move but don't do it! The shoe department is like a war zone but there are some great finds depending on your size. I always look at the very bottom and top rows for the best deals. Those rows typically contain items that have been returned and restocked with a super low price. Best place in Glendale to buy shoes (men and women) and accessories. Chances are you will have to wait in line, but generally the cashiers try to be efficient (watch for the flags people)! Lack of customer service. Very slow and employees not trained. I come to this location alot and spends alot too. So its not my first time and every time I come here customer service gets worse. But this time I thought to share because every customers review is important and hopefully it will help Nordstrom rock to pay attention in details. At the cashiers desk (from the very beginning) I informed the cashier the items that I didnt want. She said ok and so that she will put them away and left them on the the counter where all my merchandise to buy was. While ringing the the items she was having a conversation with the other cashier next to her and not really paying attention to what she was doing. Then she grabbed the unwanted items and started to ring and I told her these were the unwanted items that I informed her from the beginning please DO NOT ring. Hello, my name is Joan and I'm a shopaholic. That said, I should also include that although I'm a shopaholic, I am also a bargain hunter. This place ROCKS. I can always get a great pair of shoes for myself (or my hubby or my daughter). In fact, this is where I got most of my fabulous heels (mostly BCBG, Steve Maddens and even a Stuart Weitzman). It's hard to get out of here without spending more than what you had in mind. Where else can you get a pair of BCBG's for $40? There was a time when the selection absolutely sucked, but I attribute that to the buyer for the store, so I'm guessing the Nordstrom has sucky items as well (but with a higher price). It seems to have come back though. They now sell designer jeans, too bad it's hard to find your size. It's easier to find tops and skirts. ... and did I mention they have great deals on shoes??? The store is pretty big and it has a lot of various items for both man and woman. The store is clean, it's organized and it's located in a good plaza where you can visit other various stores as well. The only thing that I did not like is that their staff is just lame. They sell clothes that supposedly are under ell that coast 50$, but non of the items are known brands even. They all are some unknown clothes that are not worth those 50$ or 60$. Not much to say, check it out and you'll see. read more

The ONLY reason why I didn't give 5 stars was due to the location. I do admit, it was well worth the 28 mile drive from the westside. :) What can I say....since I do these big spending sprees only 1-2 x a yr...gotta make them count right? Comparing this location to the Rack at the Hughes Center, they have them beat by a long shot. Everything was so nicely organized for the most part and all of the branded discounted jeans were properly labeled and racked. Employees were very friendly and somehow knew where everything was. At least when I went on Friday afternoon, the racks have not been pilfered yet and new stuff happened to be placed on the racks and shelves. What I did like was that they had lots of jeans my size which included True Religions, Hudson, Paige, Sevens, and Rock N Republic. So that being said, I went on a mad dash and the dressing rooms were cleaned out but VERY STRICT to their 10 item policy. If you even try taking in 11, forget it. hahhah I was on a mission and used the dressing room for a total of 50 items but tried them ALL within 30 minutes. That at least for ME is a world record. I definitely will be heading back. Did I mention they even had a wide lingerie dept. which carried a wide assortment of things including Spanx. I definitely should have picked up a pair while I was there. Oh well, I guess its' another excuse to head back again really soon. read more

This is one of the better Nordstrom Rack location. It is a huge store located on the second floor. They have a huge section for both men and women's. Even their accessories department are fairly large which stuff like towels, underwear, bags, beauty products, watches, and shoes etc. Has plenty of parking and the staff are very friendly and helpful. read more

I think most of us have fairly low expectations regarding these discount stores - they're usually not all that clean or well organized and most are understaffed. Because the prices at this store are a bit higher and because it has Nordstrom in its name, I wish I could have higher expectations, but not at this store. My biggest concern, however, is literally the entrance. It's the reason I won't go back to this particular Nordstrom Rack. If you're familiar with the store, you know that the entrance is at the top of a long, narrow escalator. So, what happens when there's a shoplifter who barrels out of the store then tears down the escalator you're on in order to make an escape? I can tell you from first-hand experience - you get flattened to the best of your ability to one side of the escalator, hoping to hell you don't get knocked down a flight of moving stairs. And you hope your heart doesn't beat out of its chest as you feel it might. I guess someone thought about stopping the perpetrator because I heard a security guy say, "Let him go." No one said a word to me - no one checked to see if I'd been injured. I saw no manager, I didn't even see an employee acting as though the incident was unique or deserved attention. Are incidents such as this such regular events that the staff no longer takes notice? Does no one care about how these events might affect customers? As you can imagine, I wasn't in the mood to shop - I'm not a huge shopper anyway, and had obviously been put off my game. I wandered around for a couple minutes, looking at the clothing all higgledy piggledy on hangers or just lying on the floor. I saw no floor staff trying to keep things organized. I realized I was only walking around because I suddenly felt hesitant to get back on the narrow escalator. I decided it was time to leave and not come back. read more

My theory: if it's on sale, there's a reason. Skip it. Nordstrom Rack is a dream come true for brand whores who are on a budget. Think "upscale Ross Dress For Less". The variety will not shock you. Not as fully stocked as other NR, but it'll do for Glendale (can't really complain when you have TJM, Ross, 2 Targets, Nordstrom, Macy's, etc all in a 5 mile radius). Parking is okay, busy on weekends, but it'll do. Actually, the downgraded review is more for the people inside and service provided rather than the items itself. Service seems to always be non-existent at this one. Fitting rooms are overwhelmingly stock-piled with clothes. Racks are a mess and shoes are a nightmare all of their own. They did, to their credit, rework their checkout process, but it's always a line still, just a faster-moving one. What would boost this 2-star: 1 - a few staff on the floor who greet customers (at least when they see them), and tidy up around those raccoons who just rummage and dump as they tornado through the store 2 - a much tidier fitting room (at least for the women) where I don't feel tempted to help them fold and hang the clothes and good god at least put a steamer or buy a bottle of Febreeze because some of those garments are rank after some of these beasts try them on. 3 - some type of organization in shoes. anything. something. just more than what's there now. read more

Shoes and bags here are great, you can always find what you are looking for. However, just like TJ Maxx they have a "mirror problem". You can't reach the mirror with michael kors handbags without assistance, I think they should fix this issue, because calling assistant for every single bag is annoying. I came to return boots I had bought. I was standing in line at the return counter and waiting for my turn to return my boots. I get to the cashier and everything was smooth until the cashier was giving out money back she just threw the money at us and didn't even count it to make sure that we were getting the exact change. My mom said "let me count to make sure I have the correct amount and the cashier said "go ahead and you do that" but her tone was filled with attitude and she was incredibly rude. We did absolutely nothing to her, we came in to return something we had purchased. When we were leaving, I asked for her name and again with her attitude rude toned voice said "MY NAME IS MARIANA, GO AHEAD AND COMPLAIN" I was extremely thrown off and disgusted on the customer service and the worst part was we did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. We were supper nice and we really did not deserve that sort of treatment. I've been a customer for many years and I'm utterly disappointed at the customer service and how all of this was handled. read more

I had a disappointing experience at this store because the manager didn't want to honor the return policy for me. I asked for a gift card in return for my items. It is stated in the back my receipt and on the website: "All refunds will be credited to your original form of payment or a Nordstrom gift card." When I went to the cash register to return my items, I explained that I wanted to return these items in exchange for a gift card. She asked if I paid for the items and I said it was a gift and it was paid for with cash. The cashier seemed unsure what to do and called the manager for help. The manager came over and asked why I wanted a gift card and she said I could not exchange my items for a gift card because they were paid for with cash. Why was it any of her business why I wanted a gift card? Also it doesn't say anywhere in the return policy that I can't get a gift card because my items were paid for with cash. I left this store without returning my items because I was very frustrated at how they handled the exchange. I had a much better experience at another store and was return my items with no issues and in exchange for a gift card. read more

WHAT HAPPENED??? I shop here from time to time and have noticed over the last few years that this store is turning into crap. They don't have the selection, quality or customer service that other locations have. The store is small and they have reorganized the store. The brands are sad, the quality of the clothes is horrendous and the staff have no pride in their work. Maybe it is the location and the clientele, maybe it is corporate indicating this store is not their priority or maybe it is just me. This store is horrible. I love Nordstrom Rack. I don't get the clothes very often because they don't usually have much that I like, but this is my go-to destination for awesome, high-quality yet surprisingly discounted shoes. Like all discount stores there's a lot of digging that one has to do to find the good stuff but once you spend the time you will walk away with some footwear jewels. I've also had good experiences with Nordstrom Rack's jewelry, makeup and beauty products which also makes me a fan. Discounts + quality = win! I'm a huge fan of Nordstrom Rack but I would say that this particular location is not their best. It's a bit small and their lines aren't organized well. You really have to rummage through their racks to find something good. If you want more selection go to the Topanga Canyon Nordstrom Rack. Or even the Loehmanns in Los Angeles. I do like the shoe selection here though. I have found Chloe and Marc Jacobs within their shoe racks. Both I HAD to buy! This branch seems to be obsessed with Coach. What's up with that? read more
