Rummaging through a bunch of racks and shopping within a tornado usually isn't my thing. It definitely causes headaches but sometimes it's fun, especially if you have some time to kill. Check out their mess of shoes and sunglasses (when they have them). I bought a cute casual pair of italian sandals (LOVE!) for like $30 a while back and a cute pair of coach sunglasses for about $60. So I was originally buying Ties at Nordstrom, Macy's, and Neimann Marcus, until my friend CJ says, "Dude, why dont we go to the Rack?" and i thought, "Whats the Rack???" He brought me here, and man oh man...... My Addiction was F**ked! I ended up going through every tie possible, and first picked up about 5, then came back a week later, and picked up 5 more and a pair of Stacy Adams. This is definitely my new go to place for Ties, and their Customer Service Manager was really helpful too. Tall, black girl, curly hair. She explained to me how everything works, and why everything was at such discounted rates. I finally understood that these werent discounted products, but an excess to the Main Store, and offered at lower rates. It helped me be more comfortable with the purchases i was making. Also, love how they email you your receipt, along with Items, total cost, savings, and suggested items. AWESOME! read more

I have been going to this store just bc I live 3 blocks away. I've noticed how bad their customer service is even before, I just didn't bother to write a review. But today, I had the worst experience with them. I came in through the elevator, bc I parked at the basement. Upon entering I was told by the cashier that I had to go back down bc there's a line by the escalator. I was like "really?" You should have put up a sign or just close this entrance if you're not allowing people to come in this way. I was forced to go back downstairs only to find out there was no line! The security guard was like "yeah there's no line." I was so upset. They made me look stupid! I went back up and tried to talk to the cashier who sent me out but she would not say anything to me which upsets me more. They could've coordinated with the security guard downstairs and asked before sending me out there. It's such a waste of time. To top it off another cashier came in telling me to lower my voice and that it's not their fault. Well, whose fault is it, mine? And she was yelling back! Then a manager approached me telling me the same thing. I was upset bc of their stupidity of course my tone is high. She also kept interrupting me while I was explaining to her. She could've handled the situation better by apologizing but she did not! Very poor management and WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!! read more

This place is best described as, "you fool me once, shame on you.....you fool me twice, shame on me..." In my case, the fool me again and again and again. I always end up saying that I am not going back and for some weird reason, every couple months, I get this itch that tells me, "maybe this time I will be lucky". But no. I have never found treasure here. I'm really not interested in digging through piles of stuff that didn't sell during it's first season and most likely is damaged anyway. Not to mention the fact that you have to wait in a GINORMOUS line to buy the slightly discounted product that you don't really need. and do not forget to keep your elbows out. why? because you will get trampled by all the pushy and rude shoppers who are keeping their eyes on every move you make, lest you find something great before they do. Great stuff and a big mark down from the original price. Okay you will not get pay less prices for shoes or Ross prices for clothes and accessories but you will definitely get a good price on items that you definitely will not get at a department store at the mall. Wow, this place is awesome! I just went for the first time last week. Let me say that, yes, I was spoiled as a child and did most of my shopping at the regular Nordstrom's and other such department stores (Bloomingdale's, etc.). But now, that I am barely out of school and not making a ton of money, Nordstrom Rack is perfect. Now, I'm a guy who likes to look decent when he goes to work, but I really don't know about or care to keep up with the latest fashion, so if I am paying significantly less for a shirt that is on sale because it was "last season," that's great! I'm not really sure of the ins and outs of when new things arrive, but the couple times I've been there, they've always seem to have a fairly decent supply (at least of guy's stuff). I'm kind of weird about stores where things become a rampant mess, but the employees do a fairly decent job of keeping displays in order from what I can tell. Personally, when things are discounted, I'm a little skeptical as to why, so I usually check anything I'm going to buy thoroughly for defects while I'm there and once I get home -- they have a 30 day refund/exchange policy (on most items) as long as you have the receipt, so that's nice too. read more

Love the store... especially this one in Glendale. It has a much better selection of clothing, shoes, and accessories than the Racks that I've visited in Costa Mesa and downtown Seattle, WA. You can get some really great deals on the same brands that Nordstrom carries. It just takes a little more time to find the exact size and style that you want. My favorites include the shoes (of course!), jeans, accessories, and lingerie. Why pay 50% more when you can save here? Another perk - they accept Nordstrom gift cards! read more

This location has a lot of potential but because the parking and the crowd sucks, I rarely come to this one. Parking here is always such a huge disaster since the plaza also has a Michael's, TJ Maxx, Pet Smart, Payless, Staples, and a few other stores. All of the drivers are extremely rude and in a rush. The parking spaces are also kind of tight so it's not uncommon to find dents & dings on your precious little car. The store does have very nice merchandise, but unless you shop early in the morning it is always very busy and hectic inside as well. I don't do well in those conditions so I tend to stay away from this "Rack". read more

Inside the Nordstrom Rack, there's a lot of stuff in this relatively small space and it requires a lot of patience to go through stuff everything. However, I have found stuff by Michael by Michael Kors, Converse and Adidas, so I'm happy. I try to stay away things that are too trendy but stick the stuff that I may wear more than once or twice. I saw a pair of shiny red patent leather pumps with 4 inch heels (which would put me at about 6'1). I wish I could remember the label. They were sexy. Wow. Like ruby red slippers for grown up girls. See, what I mean? Its stuff like that makes the cramped quarters worth it. Since I have wee ones to shop for again (thanks to my cousin and niece having babies), I noticed that they have a nice selection of baby togs. read more

This place has a nice layout. The place is good in customer service. Sometimes the lines can get lengthy and they only have a few registers, but they have good deals and I will be coming back soon for them. The area is friendly. I went there with two issues that I needed to resolve. I wasn't sure how it would be handled but customer service told me that I needed to talk to the manager and that it was a store issue. Always a big mess. Always a long line. The associates aren't very helpful or really available any of the times i've been there. With the name, you would think they'd flock to you for their commission or something. I didn't have the experience i had at TJMaxx, re. designer clothing but twice a friend has taken me in here to look at shoes and TWICE I have found an absolutely fabulous pair of UGGs at a discount. The first, sequins in red and green, were just tremendously comfortable and well discounted; the second ones, either giraffe or zebra fur (!) weren't quite so inexpensive, but still a bargain: Comfortable AND think of it, ZEBRA stripes from Australia!! Even if made in China. I USEd to have a friend who would take me here for basic clothing etc-I don't have the ability to buy off the rack, but then again, I didn't know how to shop-i am sure there are many bargains within the store and the check out lines do move quickly. read more

I purchased a magnet toy for my lil girl here. When I got it home we opened it up to try it all out. Hmm, one of the magnets was missing. I ended up misplacing the receipt in-between leaving the house and going straight to the store. Uh oh! Luckily I did use my Norstroms card to pay for the item. And so, they were able to look up the transaction for me. That was great. And even at that, I did an even exchange. It was so simple to get in and out of them when I knew where things were. I love that they have figured out some sort of better and more effective way to display their makeup and travel sized items. The only thing that is not good about it is that it is the border along the line. So, the items are all trying to go home with you as you pick them along the line and end up with a handful of things you didn't know you needed. I'm definitely guilty of having let that happen to me. Anyway, I was able to so easily exchange the set that was short a piece for one that wasn't. It was so easy. Really, I was worried that I'd be the one holding up the line but it was the guy next to me at the next register. Oops. I'll be back. I noticed some new TB things that came in and I may pick up a cute new brush set as a gift for someone. Yippee!! I can't wait to come back again. read more

So sad. I used to frequent this once-wonderful store but sadly had a very disturbing experience during my last visit. After bringing my elderly mother, who was visiting from outside the country, to shop for clothes we were pursued around the entire store for nearly a half-hour by a man who kept egregiously approaching us and creepily inquiring about every garment of clothing we looked at. After finally getting in line to check out, the man once again approached us... stood right behind as we waited... and my mother finally told the staff how uncomfortable it was making her. Not only were the employees dismissive (the cashier rolling her eyes) but they actually took the PURCHASED item out to bring it to the man so he could scan it on some of shopping app he was using. I rarely find stuff that fits me well, but this place was great for me. I got some good shirts and pants at a great price. The service was amazing; i was asked a few times if i needed any help. The store was neat when i went. The shoe section layout was weird. Dress shoes next to running shoes, lol. I was there late one evening, but i wasnt rushed out. i came in to buy my son some shoes and i came out with a boat load of things lol. You cant go wrong with Vans for kids for 20 bucks and i love buys mens shoes i never have to spend more than 45 bucks . Clothing for kids is inexpensive and that's all i care about i have a wonderful little 5 year old who deserves nice clothes. This used to be my spot until I ventured out and went to other Racks. They were neater, cleaner and the workers were more attentive to the product. Here? Not so much. A VERY not so much. I'm going to focus on shoes here bc they never have a good selection of clothing to me. Racks is my primary source for shoes. This particular Rack always looks like a war zone; after 1pm its a wrap. The kids, the inconsiderate people, the teens who try on a pair of shoes then throw them on ground after they dont like the fit. No respect for shoes, at all. I wish the employees would monitor more. Also this store doesn't believe in lids. Its like they think everyone wants to either resell the shoes or dont think that shoe boxes are apart of the shoe experience, BUT THEY ARE, GLENDALE. It's wack. Also the fact that the shoes may not be in their own shoe box. How that shyte does that happen? They inconsiderate ppl and non attentive employees. Again, have employees monitor aisles. If it wasn't for the the Glendale Rack being so close to me I wouldn't go to this one. Nevertheless, they did provide me with some dope ass Y-3s so they get an added star. Parking is great. I recommend lower level so the sun doesn't hit your car. And I suggest going early so u miss the not so respectful human traffic, noisy ass, undisciplined and screaming/running children and the typhoon of shoes on the floor. read more

Of the Racks around LA, this is my least favorite. It's part of a shopping center that gets very busy and parking could take a while. Like most Racks, the woman's part is 85% of the store. Huge shoe collection, huge clearance racks and lots of clothes. The men's department has a nice little section for shoes, suits, shirts but only a rack or two for clearance. The staff was helpful and the guy doing the suits would always help me try on suits even though he knew I had no way of buying it. I prefer the Woodland Hills store better. read more

I like this Nordstrom rack. It's close to my house. They usually have good stuff and I find great things on clearance. I've bought sweaters for $4.00 when they have clear the rack ! Usually organized. Staff is nice. Would recommend this location. Tj maxx is a few stores down which is a nice plus. read more

This Nordstrom Rack is great! I was able to find a great Celine work bag and a new wallet AND didn't have to pay the insane retail prices for them. Of all the NRs up and down California, I think this one is the best overall and has the best shoe racks. Perhaps it's this locations proximity to 5 Nordstrom stores within 15 miles or the fact that it's in Glendale and Glendale housewives like to look great at 30-70% off. This location is always super busy and constantly offer promotions and secret sales to its most loyal customers. Did I mention the shoes? It's so busy that they're always moving inventory in and out (this info is per the shoe department lady). I even saw a pair of Dolce & Gabbana peep toe pumps that I had just lusted over at the Nordstrom down the street for $150 less. Yes, it's that good. read more

The juniors section is really just filled with the same style of shirts and pants, the only difference between them are the brands. I don't feel comfortable paying $17.00 for a shirt I could buy from Ross, TJMAXX, or Marshalls for half the price. Its insane. Their shoe department already has UGGS and not too much else. I wasn't impressed. However I was teased by a rack filled with neon coloured nail polishes for $4.00's each. Lingerie? Meh. There is a ton of mens dress shirts here. I like the fact that they had a seamstress here who can adjust lengths of pants or repair something on the rack that was torn and what not. I figure I'll only shop here for myself to buy nail polish or when there is something extremely, insane, kick ass, unbeatable sale going on. read more

Great place to get some great deals on name brand clothing and goods.... if you have the patience to dig and sift through racks and racks of stuff. Going to Nordstrom Rack is like hunting for buried treasure. There are some great clothes, shoes and other deals you just have to cross your fingers and hope that you can find what you like in your size. On the weekends and other busy times the lines can get loooooong. Also, don't expect Nordstrom level service... you are on your own here. This isn't the kind of place you can really hop in and out of in 15 minutes. read more

Nordstrom Rack was one of my favorite shops til 12/12, around 1030 hrs., I went to the changing room but no staff there, finally a staff came after more than 5 minutes, she let me tried the clothes. Afterwards I returned the clothes to her, she said, "Next time you need to hang the clothes then return to me." I was shocked! I went there to shop instead of doing her job. This is probably the worst Nordstrom Rack. They have horrible customer service and they lie as well. Recently, I tried making a purchase with a credit card and the lady at the cashier said my credit card declined with no proof so I ended up just paying cash but then a few days later I log into my credit card account and the charge was posted. My husband and I went back to Nordstrom Rack the next day with a print out of my credit card activity and the receipt from Nordstrom Rack showing I paid cash and was basically charged twice in two different formats and the lady tells me talk to your credit card company nothing we can do here. I'm going to give this Rack the benefit of the doubt, since when I went, it looked like it was going through some major renovations. So, I'm giving it a generous 3 stars instead of 2. I felt like I was in a disaster shelter. It was a little crowded, concrete floors and the racks were just in a disarray. And maybe they stopped paying the A/C bill because it was hotter than Hell in there. From what my eyes could take in, the selection was definitely worthy of being in a Ross, Marshalls or TJ Maxx... definitely the bottom of the clothing chain barrel. Kudos to the SA who was trying to organize the watches. At least someone seems to care about appearances despite how the rest of the store looks. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. I've been buying the same type of pants here for 3 years. I recently got two pairs that after a wash the material turned crinkled and stretched. I didn't have my receipt because I've never had to return anything here. Ever. The same pant colors (which change every few months proving how recent the purchase was) are still on the shelves. They wouldn't exchange. I needed the "tags still on the item." What the what?!! 200 bucks out of pocket for pants I can't wear and no one can do anything to help me. I only shop here. I guess now it's I used to shop here. The worst part is, they really are my favorite pants. But out of principal I can't give them more of my money when they don't honor the quality of their products. Shame on you Nordstroms. read more
