My new place to shop...I have never been in a Nordstrom Rack because I always questioned how much cheaper it would be. I admit that I was wrong and regret all that I have missed. I usually don't like going through the chaotic clearance stuff, but the maxi dresses I purchased were all on the same rack. I found 3 maxi dresses that fit pricing at $8, $12, and $15. The staff were very friendly. I was greeted at the door, dressing room and register. Another staff checked on me as I was shopping and even complemented my large bag by taking a photo of it. I plan to check out the rack back home and hope to find the same excitement. read more

In its new location, the Rack is so much more convenient (and scary to walk to!) than its previous location down at 2nd or 3rd. You have to hunt and hunt, but there are good values here. So a great place for bargain hunters. read more

Not bad... The layout of this store is a little different from the others, but maybe that's because this one is more organized? Either that or it just sucks! :) Positives: Terrific shoe(best out of all stores imo!) & jewelry selection, inside of a shopping mall/center, across the street from Nordstrom @ Pacific Place Negatives: Crowded, parking(unless you want to pay), sale section here is minuscule compared to other locations, NO KIDS SECTION! The only tough part about NR was getting there via car (parking prices high) and finding it within Westlake Center. Staff was friendly, prices were slashed significantly; great deals on shoes was what I noticed most of all; definitely a good spot to hit up if you're looking for name brand at a cheaper cost. Now let's get it straight: it's still not Ross/Marshall's/TJ Maxx cheap. Don't go in with 20 dollars and expect to buy anything more than a necktie. I love Nordstrom. But I don't like overspending. Okay, I'm lying. I would spend more on a wardrobe piece if I knew I couldn't find it somewhere else or it's exceptional quality. But I'm trying to be more responsible, so I'll just go with "I don't want to overspend if I don't have to." So this place helps. The new location is a lot cleaner and brighter. I'll have to admit that I was overwhelmed here, but it's not a complete pain in the ass like going to Ross or Marshall's. I also went on a Saturday evening, so the throngs of people didn't help, either. There's a flower "stand" as you enter/leave. Nice touch. Great prices. Great brands. Get it. read more

I actually miss the old rack's design vs. this new one. With everything being on one floor (Mens, womens, etc.) things get REALLY hectic during the busy times. We went on a Saturday which probably wasn't a good thing to start with, but after about 20 minutes I found myself wanting to leave! I'm a fan of the Rack in general as you can find some quality clothes at a deeply discounted price, it just felt extremely crowded. I will give some credit for their check-out. You would expect that the line would take upwards of half hour or so, but surprisingly we waited in line for about half that. Not too bad considering the hordes of people. read more

It's about what you'd expect from a Rack location. Don't get me wrong, for many the service is probably amazing, I'm just spoiled. As with most off-price stores, you have a large amount of tables and rounders that are helplessly out of order no many how many times they get put back together and sorted in an hour, it's just not gonna stay that way. They have added a plethora of mobile checkout points around the store so you don't HAVE to stand in line to check out if you're paying with a card. Very disappointed since the move. Don't get me wrong, the new space is a lot cleaner and not as sketch as where the old location was... but as someone else has mentioned there isn't nearly as much inventory as in the old store and it's always like a zoo in here. Areas of the space are awkwardly shaped and it makes it hard to get around with the masses of people that fill this place on pretty much any time, any day unless you come late during a weeknight. The only thing I have purchased here is a hair product and that's partly because I felt like I had to buy something because I'd just paid for parking. I have yet to purchase any clothes or shoes from here. I've noticed they have hardly anything from the BP and TBD depts. at this location, they don't have any active wear section that I know of (ie: workout clothes like nike), and though the shoes are muchhhh more organized than any other location, since they are now out in boxes they take up a lot more room - which in turn means there's a lot less inventory out. I guess as a whole, there is just a lot less of everything here compared to their other locations. And their clearance section? tiny. maybe 3 racks? where as if you go to a location like Factoria, the entire back half of the store in front of the shoes is dedicated to clearance. I consistently leave this location disappointed and won't be frequenting it anymore unless I'm in the area for something else. I'd suggest the Factoria location as I've always been impressed with their selection... Also hoping that the new Northgate location will be good! read more

Let me take a second to dote on THE most clutch employee, CURTIS, KING OF SHOE WORLD aka the shoe department. He is the BEST!!! Literally. I was in the store yesterday and left without purchasing a pair of Kate Spade mules that I had found. I instantly regretted not getting them but I was on a time crunch to get to the airport and had no time to turn back. The moment I got through security I began calling the rack hoping someone would be able to help me. *shout out* Rachel, thank you for instructing me to call back today at 10 am asking for Curtis! You straight delivered me to the promise land with that recommendation, girl!!! So flash forward to 30 mins ago... I am clear on the East Coast but my alarm was set and I was chomping at the bit to call Curtis at 10am West Coast Time!!! I described the shoes, size, where I had last seen them... and VOILA! Curtis found them within like 4 mins. Yada, yada, I gave him all my information, pay the shipping, and they're MINE!!! Eeeek! I know this is not usually how NR operates but I am SO APPRECIATIVE of Curtis for going the extra mile and making this happen for me!!!! So kind, respectful and PROFESSIONAL over the phone. Thank you God and management for finally bringing my two favorite places closer together! It just makes perfect sense to be able to kill all your shopping downtown. The perks: - Different layout, single floor, right next door to flagship Nordstrom store. - Tons of designer items like Jean Paul Gautier, Lanvin, Jason Wu. Of course most people here are expecting bargain prices but these are top designers people. If you want a slice, always expect to drop a few hundred dollars. - The staff was pretty on it when I came, there was already a lengthy line for the register but was snagged by to pay out on the side. Bonus! The layout is certainly smaller which can make it hell to weave through on busier days. I would absolutely not go here between Friday-Sunday. The place will be swarmed with tourists and its just the common sense kinda thing to do. The selection isn't bad, its just more about hunting and ignoring the person next to you. Some people get it and others don't. I walked away with a bright pink pair of in season Paige Premium denim pants for $80. Not too bad. I can imagine Nordstrom's next door will be throwing their seasonal stuff here! read more

I guess it is what it is and more true to it's origins... But to me it was crazy! You are underground, it is a huge circle and stuffed. I found the prices to not be as amazing as i've seen in other racks, and of course, no petite section that i could find. Why the hate for the short people! I guess if i was a true shopping diva i would have had a ball, but as an occasional shopper, it was just too stressful for me to enjoy myself It's downtown, near many other things, so pop in and see what you can find. But you definitely will run up against some tough cookies down there! Keep your elbows out and your head down! read more

Terrible customer service. Every employee we saw yesterday acted as though they were actively trying to avoid customers and when we finally stopped one to ask for the plus-sized women's' section she said "We don't have one, it's mixed in" and actually sprinted away from us. After searching for about 15 minutes the largest size we found was a couple of XL shirts on a clearance rack. The website has so much plus sized inventory, sad that the Seattle store doesn't carry any of it. read more

This place, while not the biggest location, still has a good stock of stuff, especially high high high end designer stuff i try for fun (since my wallet can absolutely not hang) There is also a large selection of shoes here as well, spanning aisles and aisles. The variety of Kate Spade purses are also quite plentiful. Just a note, the reception sucks here in this store!! if you need to make a call, go near the escalators!! read more

Being a straight male it's my belief that I am genetically predisposed to detest shopping. I've been to the Rack 3 times in the year that I've lived in Seattle, and have always found great deals and had good customer service. Purchases include a scarf for myself that was cheap, and two ladies watches that were nearly half the price found in other stores (and online). I've tried a handful of department stores in Seattle, and this is the only place I have been a repeat shopper of. I won't shop anywhere else if I have an inkling that they might have is at the Rack. read more

Impressive customer service. While relocating, forgot to pack my running shoes, wasn't expecting to find them here, but found a great pair of adidas running shoes and bought them. I was just the second person in line, when one of the customer service reps noticed me and immediately helped checkout my purchase. Fantastic! I didnt spend a lot of time in here, but this store is way larger than the ones I used to frequent in the bay area- my favorites being in blossom hill and fremont. Can't say whether the selection is better than there but prices seem to be a little over. read more

When I lived in Seattle, I was able to walk to this location- which was nice. However, I was often times disappointed by the interior of the store. It was overwhelming and crowded and I felt like I didn't get the best shopping experience. (And I've been to many Nordstrom Racks in both WA and CA!) That being said, I often found great deals on both women's clothing and accessories- I just wish the space was a bit more organized and the staff more helpful. read more

I have 2 main complaints since they moved to their new location in Westlake: (1) It's smaller so there is less selection and the discounts aren't as good. The old rack had more clothes, shoes and accessories. (2) My bigger issue is they got rid of ALL the children shoes. Now I have to drive all the way over to the Factoria Rack to look for kids shoes. Please bring back kids shoes. read more

This Nordstrom Rack is in a great location for those who walk or use public transport (not the easiest for those who drive) but it works well enough. The supply of men's clothing and shoe options here is bigger than what I've seen at north gate, and the accessories are more varied as well (easy place to shop for gifts for men). The service is friendly and courteous enough and the roving green shirts can even help you check out right away without waiting in line. Biggest negative: the suits/formal wear area isn't really discounted all that much from the items in the flagship store across the street. Might as well go to the main Nordstrom for men's suits and formals. read more

Five star review for Josh in men's dress clothing. I haven't bought any dress pants or shirts in 20 years, but have a friend's wedding in 48 hours. I don't know what fits. I'm a bit nervous and would rather be doing other stuff. I walk up to the guy standing there. Josh immediately measures me, he's cheerful, funny and friendly, and points me to exactly the right stuff and helps me figure out what I need, welcoming me like a host into his (virtual) home. read more

I actually really like this place. Since most of the men's clothing that the flagship stocks is ugly, finding clothes here is no less difficult than at the main rack. The sales people have wireless checkout so if you're smart you can skip the lineups. I found some nice shirts here. Just be aware that a lot of the inventory is not really Nordstrom material. It's things they bring in from the outside to sell specifically in this store. Nordstrom doesn't stock Hugo Boss red label in their main stores for example. You'll find it in the rack. read more

Came here with my fiancé and purchased $600 worth of work clothes for him at what averaged out to be half price! This location has a great selection of high end and lower-end items. Customer service is good and the guys on the floor are always willing to help you scour for that special something you're looking for. The upside to this store is they have a great selection on most days (designers like TB, StJ, DVF, MbMJ, etc.) The downside is there isn't parking very close to Westlake Center. The store itself is always a bit disheveled looking, but once you get over that it can be a great adventure. Clientele is kind of a mixed bag, being that it's downtown, but for the most part high end items remain in stock for long periods of time. If you can't find something in your size at another NRack, chances are you'll find it here. Tip: avoid the long checkout lines and find employees wearing neon green with iPhones to checkout with. read more

Pleasantly surprised by the wide selection of men's clothes here. After :30 of rummaging through shirts and pants, I was on the brink of being convinced that NR was only suitable for those who wear XL and have a 40+ waist. However, I found my initial impression to be only superficially true--if you look hard enough, you'll begin to find shirts in more typical sizes. Plan to spend :60 here, since there's not much order to how things are arranged, and even the most nimble staff have a hard time keeping the sizes and styles organized in a coherent manner. OTOH, the men's shoes at this location are pretty much one big mess of off styles and defects. If shopping for shoes, I'd only arrive with very modest expectations for footwear. Much better to head to DSW or Aldo...or head to another NR. Bonus: NR takes Nordstrom gift cards...but rarely takes Nordstrom returns. Drop those off across the street. Recommend, and will return when looking to refresh my wardrobe. read more

While I love the Rack, it's a bit overwhelming. They have great deals so I go here when I need basic items - tights, socks, undergarments...but this is not the place to visit on a warm, sunny weekend. Though everyone should know to avoid downtown then unless they like crowds. My favorite thing is being able to check out with any staff member on the floor if you're paying with a card. Bonus tip: there's an exit that takes you straight into the tunnel to catch public trans. read more

The store itself is ok- kind of awkwardly setup...& really the extra star is for some of the clerks ringing you up with mobile devices making it a million times faster- they even print you a receipt! But, it is oddly shaped and all one level.. in a basement setting. You walk in and immediately go down stairs where everything is. Shoes (in boxes- no shoe window) take up majority of the store. I can see it becoming very cramped on a weekend/busy day (I went on a Monday evening). I think it's going to be a hit or miss place that I sometimes love but other times hate... Like the old one. But way better location, so I guess it is a 'win' in the end. read more

I'm kind of meh on this new Nordstrom Rack. It's not like the old location was that much better, but it felt like there was more merchandise then. The old location was looking pretty run down. The merchandise was generally a totally mess. Here, that's all improved. The lighting is a lot brighter. It feels like any of their other locations now. Their products aren't a total mess. The old location was special in it's crappiness. Now it's just a cookie cutter store that's smaller than many other locations. It's only saving grace is its location. read more

Great location and probably one of the better Nordstrom Racks I have been too period. They had a decent make up selection featuring Urban Decay, Smashbox (full face sets, the studio sets, cream eyeliners, lip gloss, etc), NYX, and LORAC and of course philosophy. The clothing selection is what you will see in every NR: Max Studio, Calvin Klein, AK suits, BCBG, their cardigan rack, etc. However, what makes this NR stand out is that they have more of a variety of those items. Also there was a Michael Kors rack and a Splendid rack which is hard to come by if you ask me. Even though I did not purchase anything, I would have if i had enough time. Also, watch out for the other customers, they will walk around and bump into you like you are not even there. Also had a great clearance section. I am giving this four stars because I feel like the shoe section was not the greatest. read more

I love Nordstrom Rack and make a point of checking them out in any city I am in. This one has the biggest shoe selection by far .... I wish I had more time to spend here to really dig. I come here mainly for the shoes. Nordstrom Rack is one of the few places that have a good selection of shoes in my size, which is a size 4. It's almost impossible for me to find formal shoes like pumps and boots in my size. But Nordstrom Rack is the answer to my shoe problem. Of course, the section for my size is tiny compared to the other sizes but size 4 don't even exist in other stores. If I ever need shoes, this is the first place I go to before I look elsewhere. Of course the shoes aren't necessary cheap and affordable to most people, but if you're a size 4, you'll take what you can get. The shoe selection changes pretty often, so if you don't see anything you want, you can always come back after a few weeks to see what they have then. Nordstrom Rack is on the basement floor of Westfield Center so there is no signal down here, but they do have wifi which makes life easier when you have to consult with your friends whether to buy the shoes or not. (I'm the type of girl that needs affirmation from at least one other person before I can buy a pair of relatively expensive shoes and not feel guilty about it.) I sometimes find good deals on cosmetics here too! read more

Their employees lack intelligence and common sense- they put a price tag on a sensitive part of some shoes I purchased and it ripped a huge chunk of the shoe area off. Instead of assisting me by taking an additional markdown for their errors, they asked for the shoes back instead. I guess if you shop in the bargain basement, you get bargain basement - aka NO - customer service. Skip the trip and go to Nordstrom proper. read more

On November 26th I purchased a pair of Christian louboutin red bottoms for my wife online with Nordstrom. I was told the delivery date would be December 1st through December 9th. I received an email on December 3rd stating that the item was delivered at the front door on the front porch. I had my wife to check the front porch, but the only item she saw was a box from Macy's and not Nordstrom. It was very odd because it would have appeared if someone was going to take any items it would have been the items from both Macy's and Nordstrom. Nevertheless, I called Nordstrom immediately. I talked to an associate named Angel. He told me it would be an internal investigation and he would request a refund. He also stated that someone would contact me within 24 hours. No one ever contacted me so I called on Monday December 5th I talked to another associate and she stated that there was a request for a refund, but it was denied. The associate also told me someone would email me and give me a reason for the denial. I then received an email stating that there was an internal investigation and they concluded that the item was delivered, so they would have to deny my refund request. Also I asked the first associate who was the carrier and he told me LaserShip. I contacted LaserShip by email and there was no response for my inquiry. I then looked up reviews for LaserShip, it was 1.3 Stars. Not sure why Nordstrom continues to go with this carrier. Also a random email was sent from Nordstrom stating that I needed to use another carrier to ship my item, when that wasn't one of the options to choose. Also in the email it was stated that I needed to ship to another address. This had nothing to do with why my item wasn't delivered. I then had to call my bank to dispute my initial charge for installment plan and cancel future installments. I would have given a 0 star, but the lowest star you can give is 1star. Very disappointed in Nordstrom. read more

The rack overwhelms me and this one is insane. Now, it is clean and organized so I will give them that. Shoes galore but they make the isles so frigging small good luck trying to get down there if there is another person. Don't even bother if that person has a cart or stroller with them, you will not be getting down that isle until they are out of there. I honestly didn't have the patience to browse for hours. You can score some great deals if you do. Customer service was a breeze, found a person in a green shirt and she was able to get me through the transaction in less than 5 mins. Nice place to get discounted good stuff. Only visited this store once during my business trip in Seattle today. Spent 2 hrs in men's section. This store has a huge collection of men's clothes and accessories. Overall organized except pants and jeans are not well displayed by size, which caused me a little trouble finding size 32 jeans. Staff are pretty friendly and attentive. Rep Josephine G. at the jewelry department is the most awesome of all. She saw me waiting in line to be checked out by green-t-shirted staff and then quickly offered to assist me even if I did not shop from her department. The sunglasses I wanted to purchase had 2 different price tags on, so she apologized for the confusion and offered me the lower price. I was very satisfied with her service and I am still really happy that I got a pair of great sunglasses with a discounted price. She should be awarded the best employee of the day. read more
