First time coming to a Nordstrom Rack in years. This place always has such quality clothes, accessories and things you never knew. They were great about me using the dressing room constantly trying on new items. Stuff on clearance was well priced. I scored more at this location than I do in my own backyard. :) The music is JAMMING and keeps you in the store. The dressing rooms are always on rotation and the staff has it going on. Perfect system. Walked out with three items that are a stretch for me but well priced enough to give myself the test and break out of my comfort zone. You will get asked if you want a rewards card at the register - this is typical. When asked again if I am 'sure' if I don't want one...believe me I'm sure. I'm a Hilton Honors girl. I always get dragged here because Yard House right next door. Cracker Park in general is a glorified strip mall for Yuppies. Chain restaurants and clothing places. Nothing the least bit original. Um.....I think Nordstrom forgot how to 'Rack' sometime between when the Legacy one opened and the opening of the Crocker Park location. Comparing the two stores is night and day. I was shocked at how crappy the layout was and the equally crappy selection of items. Stuff we routinely pick up at the Legacy location either weren't there or were hiding themselves pretty well. For example, the Legacy spot has lots of nice belts and wallets for guys. This place has one teeny rack and all the same stuff on it over and over. No Smartwool socks, no Calvin Klein undershirts for men. These items you can get anytime at the east side store. If the Legacy Rack is like a Taj Mahal of cheap shoes, this one is a Mumbai slum. Sure there are some decent brands, but you'll see the same 10 pairs of shoes over and over - especially in the mens section. I did grab a pair of casual Nikes for 20 bucks but nothing has really grabbed my eye in the few visits I've had here so far. We were super pumped for this location to open and with how long the renovations took, we were sure the layout and selection would be awesome. Alas, this place pretty much blows. I'm sure we'll be back to poke around when we're at Crocker for something else, but we definitely won't be making special trips for this place. read more

I will start off by saying I'm not a huge fan of Crocker Park because it's so busy and parking can sometimes be a nightmare. I never go there willingly, only when friends or family insist on shopping or dining there and drag me along. Now, for the first time, I will willingly and happily make a trip to Crocker just to go to Nordstrom Rack. Why would a person who doesn't even like Crocker Park go there? Is Nordstrom Rack that wonderful? Well, Nordstrom Rack at Crocker carries everything that any other Nordstrom Rack does. What makes this specific store exceptional and worth the trip? A sales clerk named Bill. Bill is the best and most competent sales clerk I have encountered in years. He is polite, witty and engaging. His fashion sense is impeccable and knowledge of past and present fashion is astounding. Bill is a shopper's dream clerk. Why? He is honest in a caring and ever so courteous manner. He is one of those people who can instinctively know your personal style and help you select accessories that you will not only love, but that will also make you look great. He is also excellent with helping you choose a gift for a loved one. There have been many times where I have shopped at a department store, only to have a clerk try to hard sell, pressure or hound me throughout the department. What does a customer do after that? Avoid that department, or avoid the store altogether because the clerk made you so uncomfortable. You know that feeling. I think we've all been there before, and sadly, it happens all too often. I reluctantly (to put it mildly), went to Crocker Park to have lunch with a friend. She wanted to show me a watch that she wanted to buy for her friend's birthday. I wasn't there to shop. I didn't expect to be so impressed by a sales clerk at Nordstrom. I've never written a review for a salesperson in my life. I do know this: next time I need to buy something for myself, or a gift for someone else, the first place I will look is Nordstrom Rack. I will brave the traffic. I have been going to Nordstrom Rack in California and Seattle for years so was very excited to see one open in my backyard. This definitely is a smaller Nordstrom Rack so they are limited on space. Taking that into consideration, it seems to carry the same quality merchandise as other Nordstrom Racks; and like the other stores, the focus seems to be on shoes. I always seem to find what I'm looking for in this department and they have a decent selection for toddler footwear as well. My husband is a size 14 and this is one of the few stores in the area that carries his size so that is a plus too. The staff in this location can't be beat and this is probably why the five star rating. They are always friendly, helpful and seem so cheery. I just love all of them. They all seem to love their job. Also, the dressing room area and store in general always seems clean and uncluttered unlike some other Nordstrom Racks I have visited. read more

I generally LOVEEE Nordstrom Rack. This location is particular special because it's within walking distance from my home. However, outside of their designer shoes, I never really find anything at this store. I had one |Nordstrom Rack| issue occur! I asked an employee if they had a Michael Kors leather jacket in black in any of their other stores. The salesperson was super helpful and tracked down the jacket in a size Medium for me. I ordered the jacket and was happily on my way! A couple of days later when I returned back east, I received an email saying "sorry the item was no longer in stock." I called this branch and spoke to a manager who said it was still in stock (at another store) and she would have it shipped to my home. At the end of the day, I received my jacket but it was a very frustrating process. The service was great but I was still a bit shocked that Nordstrom Rack would make that mistake. read more

Don't like any of the workers. Linda is very rude and she always has something smart to say (I have my receipt every time) and gives me a hard time. They pick and choose who they give great customer service to and they are mostly not of ethnic background. The mannequins could use a better eye to entice customers. The inventory is hit or miss so I'm guessing the buyers are out of touch with what's happening. They have groovy deals on denim sometimes but their shoe inventory is blah. I used to be a regular shopper when they first opened(Westlake resident for 15yrs),they had good customer service and were friendly and helpful but clearly those qualities are a thing of the past. From the male shopper's perspective, I would call this place Nordstrom Rack Lite. The suit selection is almost non-existent. Actually, the selection overall isn't good. The Legacy Village Rack has so much more everything. The shoe selection is just ok. They have some great shirts and pants, but everything seems to reside in the $60+ price range. Even the CK underwear isn't any cheaper than on Amazon. There's no variety of affordability. At the current prices, I know I can find designer clothing without even stopping in to grab Nordstrom leftovers. At the LV Rack, I know I can find some really great deals, go on a mini spree, actually find some really great savings on a wide selection of suits and separates, and basically stretch my dollar farther. It's just not even worth stepping in the Crocker Park Rack unless you feel like wasting some time. read more

Love wandering around this store but it's very rare I ever buy anything. The prices aren't great and I can get similar items and brands at Tj Maxx or Marshall's for much cheaper. The dressing room is nice with plenty of rooms, I don't think I've ever had to wait. The shoe aisle is WAY too small it's hard to look through the shoes while pushing a stroller the aisle isn't wide enough. The kids and men's section are small. read more

This store drives me bonkers. I mean, their shoe department has come through in a few clutch situations and I'm sure in somebody's world paying $200 for a blouse that's normally $250 is a great deal. I take my fashion cues more from Liz Lemon than Heidi Klum so I am not a legitimate judge of whether they have a good selection of designer brands or styles. I can and will judge service though, and for me, it's been consistently off. Most recently, we went in on a busy afternoon (Labor Day sales!) and the line at the registers was super long. They pride themselves on their 'mobile check-out stations' so we walked around the store looking for an unoccupied associate. I finally tracked one down and asked if she could check us out. She responded, quite brusquely, that she couldn't because the department was a huge mess right now. Great. The only other two salespeople on the floor were both dealing with the same surly elderly woman who didn't understand why she couldn't return something she had bought there more than a year ago. Or something. Not their fault, but it was frustrating to hear the ridiculous "save time with our mobile check-out stations throughout the store" message over the speakers when literally no one was available to help us. I rarely find any good deals for myself (definitly find things I want but they're not discounted enough or even a deal) but for my 18 month old daughter I find so much! I had ordered a pair a boots online on a Friday night to be delivered to my home. The next day I called their customer service to see is I could change the delivery address to my work so my package would not be left on my porch (because of the amount of money I spent). The lady I spoke to said because it was already in the processing stage that I couldn't but did let me know that I could go onto my choice through ups and have it delivered to a popular location. I.e. Starbucks , etc. I was able to change it to be delivered to the ups store right around the corner from where I live. I was not aware that was even an option until she took the time to explain to me how it worked. It literally took me minutes to do and gave me peace of mind no one could just walk my my house and pick up my package is they saw it.
