I love this Nordstrom...it has a great vibe...it's bright, clean and well merchandised. I've bought many outfits, shoes & handbags from this store over the years, and I keep coming back. I was here again last night to pick up a dress I ordered online, & was greeted with a friendly hello right away. The sales associate quickly found my order, put it in a nice Nordstrom bag, & thanked me. Went throughout the store to shop, and was greeted by numerous sales associates asking if I needed help. Went to the formal dress dept & asked the sales associate if I could try my dress on in the fitting room, and she smiled & said, "Of course, and I will scan to see if we have your dress in the store in case your order doesn't fit, and we can do an exchange right here if you need to." That's great service! I didn't even have to ask her to do this. Scored a great pair of Valentino sandals at a great price...the saleslady was so friendly and brought out a few different sizes in the style I liked, just to make sure they fit properly. Rude customer service (men's department perfume section especially old grey hair women and younger man with an accent). Today's visit there was a disaster. We came to purchase perfumes for both of us; me and my husband. Old women with grey hair and younger men with an accent were too busy chatting with each other at the counter and didn't even bother to help us or to even acknowledge us being there. Before I begin to explain what happened here's a thing that many people don't know. When trying any new perfume is always best to spray it directly on your skin (forearm)instead of using these little tester cards that are always next to the perfume bottles. The reason for that is that every perfume will always smell different on skin vs on a tester card. By spraying the perfume directly onto your skin it actually allows you to see how the perfume will smell on you& how fast the smell fades/wears off. Now back to what happened: I purchased my perfumes at the women's perfume counter where extremely nice guy helped me and shortly after that I re-joined my husband at the men's perfume counter. My husband couldn't decide on the perfume he wanted so he sprayed one of the testers couple of times on his forearm and another tester on the other one. Once he did that the old grey haired lady and gentlemen standing right next to her started to look at my husband so weird as if he's going to steal that perfume or sprayed that tester one too many times! Both of us felt very uncomfortable by the stares we received from both of the employees. From being too busy chatting with each to staring at us as if we were the thieves or did something terrible. Not even once they offered their help or asked if we needed any assistance. It was just plain rude behavior that they presented during our visit there. Since I didn't even want to be there anymore and wanted to just leave from there due to the treatment we received I told my husband to just buy both of the perfumes that he was debating between so we can leave. My husband refused to buy perfume from there because of that very situation described above. We left without buying a new perfume for him and I wasn't honestly even surprised on his decision to just leave instead. I'm a Nordstrom card member but from now on I think we will be buying men's perfume elsewhere as staff at the men's perfume counter is very unprofessional and unwelcoming. I don't care about the fact that I won't be getting any "points" on my Nordstrom card for purchasing elsewhere!At least at Sephora or Saks Fifth Avenue we will receive a good customer service and won't be treated the way we were at Nordstrom's men's perfume counter! read more

I went in yesterday to hopefully buy some tennis shoes and there was a young man in a blue tuxedo outfit in the athletic shoe department around 12:30 who was extremely rude to me. I kindly asked him if he was helping someone because I needed a size, he answered "Yup" rolled his eyes and walked away. There is nothing worse than horrible customer service. I understand he was probably frustrated that the one customer he was helping was giving him a hard time, not anyones fault. Especially being in a store like nordstrom, knowing your going to spend your hard earned money on some pricey items. First, I'd like to say that I am a long-time loyal fan of Nordstrom. I used to work at a distribution center many years ago and have referred many friends and clients to Nordstrom. I have also been a cardholder for more than 20 years, currently at the Ambassador rewards level. All this to say, I have seriously loved this brand, what it has represented to me, and what it taught me about customer service now that I own a business. In the past few months, this has all gone out the window. I recently brought my son in for dress pants and a dress shirt for homecoming. The woman who helped us informed us up front that there was not a lot in stock. The pants she recommended for him were over $200. He loved them so I said ok. She had to order the dress shirt and told us she'd keep the pants and call us when the shirt came in so that we could come in for alterations. I asked if she had a business cards, she said no. Two days later, the order was cancelled because the shirt was out of stock and she never reached out to me. I called the store and she wasn't there, I was offered no other alternatives for getting him a shirt and his alterations but to keep calling back to try to connect with her. I would up ordering several more shirts in the hopes something would fit well. When the shirts arrived, my son and I went to the store. When we arrived, she was not working that day. The gentleman who assisted us was obviously disinterested in fixing her problem. Fist, he could not find the pants we'd purchased and left with the saleswoman. Next, he continued greeting other men as they arrived to shop while not listening and getting the details wrong. Then, we were asked to wait while he texted her to figure out where they were. Eventually, I asked him to either refund us or find another pair of those pants on the floor. As my frustration became evident, he made some phone calls and finally tracked down the pants. Why didn't he do that to begin with rather than making us wait 30 minutes and making me feel utterly unimportant? My other issue is that I recently started a Trunk Club membership. I was really excited to get some of the items before a trip. The day that FedEx showed the package delivered I was home all day. No package. I looked around, I called neighbors, and reviewed security footage from cameras around our home. No one from FedEx stepped foot on our property that day, and I proactively called FedEx and trunk club myself within an hour of the packed showing delivered. FedEx blew me off saying they'd trace it and call me. No call. Trunk Club told me this happens and to just wait. Nothing. When I called again, FedEx's answer was simply that the driver told them it was delivered, and I had to reiterate that it was in fact not delivered. Surely they have a way to investigate? I called Trunk Club to initiate a claim and the final response via email was "I am happy to report we were able to waive the balance due for the lost merchandise. Moving forward, I cannot guarantee this will be an option should this situation re-occur." Well, then why would I order another package from you containing thousands of dollars worth of merchandise? It has been well over a month and just today, again, I sent a message to Trunk Club asking what they found out. Instead of going to bat for me, I feel like I'm being accused of lying and theft. After twenty years you should know me better, Nordstrom. On top of everything, this is so easy to fix - require a signature or let me pick the package up in the store. This is not service worth a premium any longer. The relationship has been soured, and I won't be going out of my way to shop Nordstrom going forward. read more

Worst costumer service ever! I had to return some shoes, clearly your staff works off of some sort of commission or sales met. Not one of your sales associates would help me. Finally when I was asked if I had been helped, I was told by an associate that they would find someone to help me, they did not and to make the situation worse they went on to help what they hoped would be their next sale. I've gotta say, Nordy's (as my aunt refers to Nordstom since it's her favorite department store ever) is always a safe bet if you're looking for quality selection, customer service, and a very pleasant shopping experience. Whether you're looking for shoes, lingerie, cosmetics, apparel, etc... you'll likely find it at Nordy's. I'll have to take Samantha O's and Julia T's advice and remember to go to Nordstom's next time I need a new bra. In the meantime, I've gotten lucky with shoes, all kinds of clothes, accessories, and perfume. This weekend is a big sale. I ran in earlier to return something and walked out with a new pair of shoes. Oops. Take that as a warning, Nordstrom can be dangerous for shop-a-holics. The only times I have not gotten lucky at Nordstrom are when I've been on a mission for something specific - such as Converse Sneakers in Jared's size 7 or a certain shirt or bathing suit in my size. But I'll overlook these times and return again and again... Keep up the good customer service and selection, Nordy's - and I'll be a customer for life. read more

So how do you review an establishment that you expect to be five stars every time you walk in? I have a great experience at every Nordstrom I go to. My last visit to Nordstrom at Fashion Square was beyond great! Specifically with Stephanie at the Clique Counter. I had seen an item online that I absolutely fell in love with. I didn't see it at the counter. Stephanie informed me that the promotion had ended but she thought she still might have a few in the back. It may have been years since I've been through a Nordstrom, and I think I had forgotten just how big these things can be. Here it's no exception. A large, spacious anchor in the mall, this is a very beautiful store. So many pretty things all around, that it's a good launching point if you're not in any particular, specific shopping mood at all. No, if you want makeup, shoes, clothing, accessories, jewelry, or just about anything else to go on or near your body, this is a one-stop shop. Being Nordstrom you'll pay for the goods, but it's a nice alternative to the deal-a-day spots elsewhere in the mall and the valley. Side note: Please take note, all, that it's "Nordstrom" and not "Nordstrom's." There is no "s" in the name of this store. You don't pick up a sandwich from "Subway's" on the way to your job at "FedEx's." read more

I lost my mind in here last night. I don't think you understand what its like to live your whole life with no Nordstrom, to hear your friends talk about how great it is, to be able to use the website but never go to the store. When I finally did, I was like a kid in a candy store. My husband had to drag me out of the store. Its great because it has something in every price point. There are so many designers there that I often buy online or at small boutiques (Ella Moss, Trina Turk ) The shoe department is unreal. I've never been a big department store shopper but this is much different than your regular Macys. Its well laid out and spacious, its not just a ton of racks crammed together. Called customer service and was told due to "privacy Laws" they are unable to advise me who purchased and had this sent. Ordinarily, Nordstrom is a bit too spendy for my tastes but when I need new bras, I go nowhere else. Their bra fitting specialists know their stuff and can find something for every bosom. There is so much variety in bras across brands and sizes and these ladies help you navigate the annoying but necessary world of bras. There is nothing and I mean NOTHING graceful about trying on bra after bra but walking out of there will well fitting support for the girls is priceless. Well the sale was winding down, so I thought that now would be a good time to for my wife to purchase her makeup for the free gift with purchase from Lancôme. Customer service was good, as she knew exactly what she wanted. While she made her cosmetics purchase, I was busy hunting through the men's department eyeing a great price on an English Laundry shirt and drooling over some colorful ties. Unfortunately we couldn't find the correct size (the shirt--not the ties!). Then, my wife made her way to the sale upstairs and found a cardigan that she wishes now that she would have purchased. My experience with the Wedding Suite has been about as bad as it could get customer service wise. I tried on dresses with Nordstrom about a month or so ago and had a pretty negative experience, but not bad enough to write a scathing review, so I didn't. But now I feel inclined to include this in my review... First, they do not let you browse dresses you have to describe what you like and they bring them to you, which would be fine if the stylist listened better. I had to repeatedly tell the stylist I did not want poofy dresses and this is still what I was brought. Also, both my mother and I felt the stylist was a little rude to both of us. Overall it was a bad experience and after trying out 3 dresses, we got out of there as quickly as possible and just laughed about how bad the experience was. Then a month later I found an Amsale dress online that I really wanted to try on but could not find any other Amsale dealers in the area. After calling everywhere else I could think of, I finally called Nordstrom. They were nice when I called and told me they had a Amsale Trunk show coming up and that if I booked another appointment with them they could get the dress flown in. I booked the appointment, invited friends, etc... 4-5 days later I just wanted to call and confirm they had got the dress, I thought they were going to call me and confirm this, but maybe they hadn't got around to it yet. They eventually told me that the dress had been discontinued and apologized for not calling me back. I then contacted Amsale, they said they had not got a request from Nordstrom. Nordstrom never contacted them and that the dress has not been discontinued. So of course, I called Nordstrom back, they told me they would figure it out and call me back. Still haven't, but maybe they will... Amsale eventually called me back and they said sending the dress to Nordstrom would be no problem and that they would set up the transfer so that I do not have to speak with someone from Nordstrom again. Sooo disappointing. Trying on wedding dresses should be fun, I had such a negative experience here that I now can't decide whether to go to Nordstrom and try on my dream dress or just move on... My only other choice would be to fly to Ohio or Arkansas and try it on, and I am honestly considering that. read more

I had such a good experience dress shopping today! I love Nordstrom in general for their customer service, but today Pamela in Dresses was exceptional. She help me try literally a dozen dresses! She was so patient and sweet in helping me choose a Tadashi Shoji dress. She even offered to walk me over to Shoes and help me match my dress. The selection at this particular Nordstrom is very wide. They carry all the high and designers to rival Barney's and Neiman Marcus. There is even a spa and a café. read more

I am not a regular Nordstrom shopper and I really don't even know why...I always have a positive experience when I do enter their store and this particular experience was no exception - actually it was pretty darned fantastic thanks to Ryan in their women's shoe department. We came in looking for a specific brand (Munroe) that apparently isn't carried elsewhere and Ryan took us right to them. He shared some information about the brand and was patient with me as I tried on multiple pair multiple times. Unlike other places where one person is trying to help seventeen people at once, Ryan was completely focused on me and my needs, which is why I ended up buying three pair from him even though I came in for one. And maybe that's why I don't come into Nordstrom's often because the great service leaves me compelled to purchase more and more. :-) read more

Love this store! This is a massive store with a good layout and a nice women's and shel department. I usually come here to buy my shoes, since they have such a good selection. If I order anything online and have to return it, it's always a seamless process bringing it here for my refund. I always receive great customer service, although at times it takes a while to get someone to help me in the shoe department. It's usually cause they are busy there, but aside from that I enjoy my shopping experience here! Plus if you have the Nordstrom card you can accumulate Nordstrom notes for future purchases, which is fantastic. read more

Jorge in the order pickup department saved my bacon. I was trying on a suit that I had fitted for a charity fundraiser, and when asked, he gave me his honest, authentic appraisal that it needed to be fixed. I recently lost a lot of weight and was not used to wearing trim suits, and did not notice that it wasn't perfectly fit. He immediately set me up with a tailor, and we found the problem area. Jorge went above and beyond to make sure this customer was happy with their purchase and, to me, provided a service that sometimes lacks in other stores. I believe that an employee who is willing to help the customer, even deliver them potentially bad news in service of that perfect fit, is real customer service. Jorge, it is a 10/10 from me. So I recently went in to grab a Chanel mascara.. was a bit nervous as the state of the world is crazy with this virus. However, this location was awesome! They were handing out masks to every customer and hand sanitizer. They had little arrows indicating which way to go around the store. They were really trying and I was SO appreciative to see that as a critical care nurse. Unfortunately, some of the customers were literally taking the mask off. Many though were wearing them, which helps make a difference in the world. The store itself was as expected, normal street parking and the parking garage was close. I'm writing specifically about the Nordstrom cafe. Been going here about 15 years. I loved it way more back then - better soups, better service and WAY better prices. The food is still pretty good, but my favorites have all been discontinued. I recommend the tomato soup, the crusty bread that comes with and the apple, goat cheese, chicken salad! The service is usually good, but not always like it used to be. Had a problem with a kind of surly guy in the soup area and had to speak to a manager. She made it better and made it up to me, it is just sad that someone with that attitude could even be in the Cafe. Would not have happened in the old days. My biggest gripe is the cost. Their prices have just surged in recent years. $3.25 for a lousy fountain soda? Almost $15 for a salad and I just found out the full size really just has more lettuce than anything the half order has. The atmosphere is good, but realize that you need to leave a tip for the guys that come take your tray away or ask you if you need a soda refill. Adding that on top of their elevated prices makes this place an expensive lunch! Expect to pay $20 plus read more

Not sure why I keep giving this location chances. Nordstrom policy says that they will hold items up to 7 days. I went and tried on a pair of pants and was undecided about them. Asked to put them on hold for a couple hours and the associate said because they are a fulfillment center the entire Nordstrom will not hold. So I left and called the store and asked the operator what their policy was for the store for holding items. He gave me a non answer and said he couldn't answer that and what department did I need. I said I don't need a department I needed someone who could answer my question he then got snippy with me so I hung up. This Nordstrom has the absolute worst service I have ever seen!! Nordstrom has to do better it stores will continue to close because now I ordered the pants directly from the distributer and for cheaper! And didn't have to deal with anyone! Nordstrom was great to place online order and their Customer Service was great. However, they use Lasership for deliveries. Horrible experience, package was marked as delivered, which never happened. When you address them about a missing package no get no real response they just tell you that I claimed it missing. I reviewed my Ring.. I work from home and had no delivery. The staff are incredibly knowledgeable and are there to make your experience there a memorable one. I particularly come here for fragrances and higher-end clothes and every time, from entrance to exit I felt comfortable. When buying fragrances, it's all about the best fit for you and they even recommended some amazing ones for me based off of the scent I came there for. We had a great lunch in the CAFE today. Salmon and grilled chicken breast entrees. Both were delicious! Zach was our server, and did a phenomenal job.
