This is an ok NEX. I liked how big the pet item aisle was. It had all of the dog food that I'd normally purchase at Petco but good $10-$20 cheaper for the 30lb+ bag sizes. Another good thing about this location was the availability of small kitchen appliances. I was happy to find many of the InstantPot and air fryer accessories on sale. They also carry some of the Nostalgia brand items. They had a toaster that came with useful features like defrost setting. As someone who hoards NY bagels in the freezer, feature like that is a god send for busy mornings. Aside from that, I thought the NEX was just ok. The customer service is nonexistent but that's what you get at any BX/PX/NEX type places. The prices are just ok and I can say that most items aren't worth purchasing it from here specifically. However, if you're in the market to purchase higher priced items like MacBook Pros, it'll be a good place to go. They do price matching with competitors AND you can buy it tax-free. Those two combinations can actually save good $200-$400 making the particular trip well-worth it.

Prior to this review, i previously had a bad experience with customer service. Luckily, I decided that coming during a weekday would be better to go to customer service and obtain my layaway. It was a more than pleasant experience and a 5 min wait time. As one of the largest exchanges in the hampton roads area.. people flock here and it seems to always be crowded on the weekends and especially the holidays. Note to self.. go during the weekdays as much as possible, on the mornings to afternoons. I love their scratch of deals and promos and the interior set up. They are a 4.5 on the cleanliness scale here. But I can get a little flusted not finding things and trying to get some employees attention in helping me. It like a mini mall for military.. with the commissary connecting the exchange. I come here for my apple products and designer bags for a bargain deal. They are keeping to a 50 percent capacity at the food court, leaving tables with signs that are reserved for social distancing. It is mandatory to wear a mask. For Covid precaution they get a 5. I've been to this exchange on a number of occasions.. especially because I love their cosmetic section. I prefer to go to oceana or little creek to steer far away from the crowds. But every exchange has something different to offer. I figured every place has their good and bad days, bad employees and good ones. They have a service rating of a 2.5.

New Balance 1080v10 for only $119 Normally they are way more than that!

This NEX is legit!! Wow I am hearing that this is the largest or one of the largest NEX in the world... This joint is like a mall, it has everything you need! It gets crowded as well so be prepared. It's 2 stories Has a premium food court Electronic section is out of this world!! Prices are very competitive and they price match This will be in my rotation when I'm bored and want to get out the house to browse and people watch! I'm definitely a fan...

I have found the beat deals ever at the Norfolk location. Right now there's a sale in makeup which doesn't happen often. 50% off already marked down prices. I bought two eyeshadow pallets for $14 each. One is Anastasia and the other one is carli bybel

Exchange is more like a mall

For it being a BIG Nex horrible selection. Poorly designed and worst customer service ever. San Diego Nex is way better.

This place is so cool and eclectic! It's the store that used to be under Elliot's Fairgrounds, but…read morethe lady working said this was a better spot- more out in the open. I loved everything inside, and wanted to buy one of everything! If you're looking for a gift for almost anyone, this is a good spot to check out. The prices were pretty reasonable, but some were a bit pricey (to be expected). I can't wait to go back for another gift!

Shop local like you mean it and you won't be disappointed at Texture!…read more After many years, Texture has relocated out of the quaint house on Baldwin Avenue to serve its customers in a more convenient location just a few blacks down on Colley Avenue. The new location is nestled next to Running, Etc and across the street from Blair Middle School. It boasts ample street parking with a convenient side parking lot for customers as well. A beautiful store-front window is always displayed to perfection bringing window shopping to life during your stroll down Colley Avenue. A charming sidewalk chalkboard sign greets you before you even enter the store. The handiwork on the sign is done by a local artist which speaks to the nature of Texture. As you enter the shop, you will find it proudly supports local artists of Coastal Virginia from Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Williamsburg, and more. I'm always impressed by the jewelry, hand designed greeting cards, pottery, and accessories that the owner finds for the store. She or any other "Texurette" will happily tell you about the origins of any item. The ladies who work in the shop (Texurettes, as they are fondly called) are always friendly and helpful if you are looking for something particular. They offer complimentary gift wrapping in adorable gift bags tied with ribbon. Every time I give a gift in a Texture bag the recipients eyes light up! You will find a price range for every wallet. I have bought $2 hand soaps, hilarious dishes towels for $10 as well as beautiful jewelry in the higher price range. Texture is one of those local shops who truly supports local as well. I love both that they give back to the community and support local artists. It is definitely the ideal place to find a gift for any occasion. They have a baby boutique with one of a kind baby gifts, vintage inspired puzzles, funny gifts such as socks and dish towels, coastal decor, jewelry, handbags, pottery, candles and more. I'm not sure how the owner did it, but the move to their new location only brought more of that local charm with them to Colley Avenue. They are still serving up friendly southern greetings to every customer while making their new shiny store feel ever so welcoming. Kudos!
