We had a reservation to celebrate our son's graduation. No contact to tell us to please find other accommodations...just a sandwich board outside saying "We are closed today." What crappy service. We will never return and hope others see this and choose to support a different establishment. What a terrible way to treat a family that have spent money supporting you in the past. read more

Discovered this place just trying to fina more Gluten Free options in the area. My wife is Celiac so finding consistent safe places to eat can be tough. Even if they have GF options it often doesn't mean its safe. Happy to say the food was both delicious and safe. Had the Carbonara with gluten free pasta and the sauce was great. Kid friendly and the service was great, my water cup never hit empty as the waiters were very attentive. Happy and will be back! read more

But not only is the location awesome but the food is great as well. The Italian style menu does not lack in variety and their specialty pasta dishes are spot on. And the bar....A local hang out with a great staff and did I mention an awesome Happy Hour! Great local beer tap selection to boot. So good! I've been here twice in person and it's always delicious. Tonight they catered a neighborhood party and the food was so good and the staff was so friendly. The lemon piccata chicken was so tender that I could cut it with a fork and the roasted veggies are out of this world. Both of those over the mashed potatoes and you've got the best plate of comfort food. And that garlic bread! They have outdoor dining that is absolutely a must in the summer but just as amazing in the winter. read more

Restaurant very hard to find, there is no significant signage on the outside that would encourage you to give it a try. Inside is very non de script. One of the worst happy hours I have ever experienced. Pizza, meatballs and calamari were straight out of the freezer and lacked any flavor. This bar and restaurant has changed hands several times since we moved to Dos Vientos in 2011. As neighbors we were happy to see the Local Table menu has recently returned. We eat there, or pick up food regularly - once or twice a week. All items are delicious and the staff is friendly and accommodating - and if Julio is behind the bar or serving you then you'll be in very good hands. They offer a wide variety of tasty appetizers, fresh salads, mouth watering pizzas, comforting pasta dishes, and substantial entrees all at reasonable prices. Great happy hour discounts and offerings from 4:30-6:30pm. We love the Grilled Salmon, the Vegetable Risotto, and the Mushroom, brie and arugula pizza. Lots of delicious options for everyone. They offer plenty of space in a warm and inviting atmosphere both indoors or outdoors. Ample room for large parties and rarely ever a wait. Easy parking. Maybe a bit out of the way for those who don't live in Dos Vientos but is definitely worth the visit for a dog friendly outdoor patio, tasty family dinner or a spontaneous date night. Looked like bar was pretty busy when we arrived. Otherwise, not many folks in dining room. Service was good. Pappa Tartufo pasta was delicious along with pear arugula salad. However, not a fan of the pizza with frozen crust. Would highly recommend either making own pizza crust or getting frozen and rolling out from Italian deli. My family even said I make better pizza. I think it was the owner that came to our table. I ordered club soda, and he delivered that, and never came back to get the others orders. Once the wait staff arrived, they took the rest of our order. We ordered meatballs, pizza and Calamari off the happy hour menu. The meatballs were tiny and tasted like sausage. Can't tell you about the food because we were left standing at the front for 10 minutes with no one asking us if we would like to be seated. Finally a very rude server came to the front but didn't acknowledge us . We approached the server and asked if there is a wait. She looked us up and down and said, yea but I wouldn't recommend you waiting. We thought we misunderstood but that is what she said. We just walked out, really disappointing as we wanted to try a local restaurant that is close. We will NEVER go back, if that was the service just trying to find out if there is a wait, I can't imagine what it would be like eating in this establishment. Glad to report The Local Table, despite running at a staff deficit during COVID has stepped up their game. They work incredibly hard to insure you're getting what you want. That being said, Friday and Saturday nights are quite busy and they could use a few extra hands on deck. An additional waiter, and additional water helper would make the evening go more smoothly. It's been tough all around through many different forms of business and hospitality services, but those that made it this far are having trouble finding competent staff that are willing to work under hard conditions. So hats off and thumbs up to all who are enduring and carrying on! read more

Went on a Friday night. It was busier than usual but still the main dining room was only about 60% full. Food was good but, as noted by previous reviewers, the service was still incredibly slow. They seemed to have plenty of staff, but most were not food servers. No doubt a continuing effect of the Covid-depleted work force but the restaurant also bears some responsibility to invest some time and resources in training food servers. Also, the noise level was obnoxious, coming mainly from the nearby bar area. There just isn't enough acoustic separation between the bar and main dining room. And the dining room is cavernous, with hard floors, ceilings and walls. We sat at a small table in the center of the room and I couldn't hear the person across the table from me. We took to shouting at each other. At one point I opened my SPL Meter app and measured the sound levels (attached photo.) The average level was over 83dB with regular jumps to 95dB. For reference purposes, here are typical noise levels: Typical conversation: 40-60db Bulldozer 88 dB Jazz Concert 91 dB Power Mower 94 dB Nightclub 97 dB Ambulance Siren, inside driver window down 100 dB Rock Concert, Leaf Blower 115 dB So I'd recommend visiting when the restaurant is less busy. That should improve the sound (and the service.) To the restaurant, I'd recommend installing some acoustic absorption on the walls (e.g. drapery) and placing a more solid divider between the dining room and bar area. read more

This is one of our most favorite restaurants. We live close by in dos Vientos and come here 1-2 times a month. The bolognese is really the best you will ever have! However, we called last night to place an order for pickup and the phone just rang and rang and rang followed up w a weird messaging system. After a few attempts, somebody answered the phone and informed us that local table has been permanently closed as it was sold last week! We were just there last week! The place was pretty busy (it usually seems to be, even on weekdays). Say it isn't so?! I can't accept I will never taste that bolognese again! Can a girl at least get a recipe?! this was the saddest news to receive on my birthday. Farewell local table. It was great while it lasted. :( read more
