I don't like the dentist from past experience. Enough that I had 3 wisdom teeth in my mouth still at the age of 46, but needed two pulled. Horrified, I go in and they offer a dental plan which was really cool and the staff is super awesome. I can be a straight up b*tch when it comes to rotten customer service, never had the desire to be in this office. As a matter of fact I felt more calm in there than I have in months outside their office. Serene is a good word. They set it up beautifully. Reminds me more of a spa. They have TV's, and a station for kids to play. And the young ladies at the front desk......brace yourself, SMILE AT YOU!!! Much like grass fed beef the elusive excellent customer service does exist!! And it's here!! And the young lady who gave me the shots of novacaine warned me I'd feel a pinch. She gave me several different ones and I felt one millisecond of one of them. And I hate shots!! Dr. Z is who I was seen by and I'm embarrassed about my teeth but felt extremely comfortable around him. I thought he'd only pulled one and he already had them both out! What!?! If you want to feel comfortable and cared for you will NOT find anyone better than this group of fabulous people. Next day my bottom gum started hurting so I called them and had to go in to get the prescription and two days in a row they're still smiling!! Not one negative vibe in the group, ever. I'm not working so I can't return as soon as I'd like, but once I'm able I'll be back in there with bells on!!! Great practice. I hate going to the dentist. As a matter of fact it's an actual phobia for me. They were able to squeeze me in and relieve me from the pain of a much needed root canal. Due to my phobia, my bp was actually a bit to high for them to start initially. After calming down, they began and after the initial injection (which didn't hurt because of a vibrating thing they use) I was pain free. Now I won't say my phobia is gone,but I don't feel the need to prolong needed dental procedures any more..at this time...lol. read more

I hate the dentist BUT the people at Normandy Dentistry have always been great to me whether it's Bri (sorry if I spelled it wrong) on the phone with me, Heather filling me in on payment info, Cara helping me with appointments and call backs, or one of the doctors like Dr. Perna and Dr.Lane ... they have always been great and made me at ease. While the work is expensive, they get the job done and get it done right. I have had two root canals and two crowns at this location and I am going for a cleaning next week!! I hate the dentist but they make it a tad bit easier. They also have tvs in the ceiling and blankets to wrap up in during procedures. They have a very modern decor and always helpful in changing appointments or canceling without any fees. Don't listen to the nay sayers - these are great people and doctors. read more

My dentist, greatest dentist of all time, retired. I had been with him for 30 years. Came to Normandy Dentistry looking for new dentist. WOW did I pick the wrong one. I went in for a cleaning to check them out. The cleaning was sloppy and incomplete. When they took x-rays I told them the plate they put in my mouth was too large and was cutting into the roof of my mouth. I asked if they had a smaller one. Answer was, NO. Dentist checked my teeth. He said before I left I would meet with a treatment plan person to set up a treatment plan. The woman came in and said, "Don't be alarmed by this number. We can work out a payment plan." ALARMED It was over $6000. They decided every tooth in my mouth needed to be fixed and I should get it all done as soon as possible. Told me about a Dental Credit Card I could apply for. ARE YOU KIDDING. For $6000 I could buy full set of dentures. I could buy a car. My previous dentist cared about his patients. Made them feel safe, he 'Catered to Cowards' which I am one. I would get Nitric for cleanings. These people had no bed/chair side manner and I did not feel safe. They are only to it for the money and not to help people with dental pain. read more

10/25/2016 Words can not even begin to describe how livid I am with his dental office. I have only been to this office twice and both times have been horrible, the first time was back in April when I went in for my initial visit to get a cleaning and a couple fillings. The doctor that did my fillings ended up filling the wrong tooth and I did not notice until I got home and looked in the mirror. I immediately called them and went back to the office. The doctor stated that the reason she filled the wrong tooth was the previous doctor that did my exam noted my chart wrong, so I sat there once again and let her fill the corrected tooth. I did not make a big deal of it at the time as I do understand that people make mistakes and she did end up filling the corrected tooth. I went in today for a cleaning and another filling and due to the amount of time I had to wait up front and pre pay for my services I was informed that they would not have time to do both the cleaning and fillings, so they would reschedule my cleaning for another date. At this point I have already been there for almost an hour and a half so I just want to get it done and over with. The dental assistant comes and takes my blood pressure and stated that it is policy that they do it before treatment even though I've never had it done before, whatever. She tells me that my blood pressure is elevated so they are not going to be able to do any treatment today due to this. I explained that it is elevated due to the aggravation that I have went through and the long wait. I then have two amazing hygienist come in to calm me down so that they could hopefully get my blood pressure lowered enough to proceed with my fillings, which they did. The doctor does one of my upper fillings with out numbing me as he stated he did not want to numb my whole face, which was fine as I did not feel anything. He then numbs my lower jaw so that he can do the lower filling. After sitting in the chair for another 10 minutes while the Doctor and several other assistants search for a special piece that was needed for him to be able to continue with my filling he comes in and tells me that they can not find the piece and that I will have to come back once they locate it..... Are you freaking kidding me? I arrived at this office at 4:10 and did not leave until almost 7:00 and ended up only getting one filling. I have never in my life had such a horrible experience not once but twice. Your office charges a lot more than other dentist in the area, but I was fine with that as I thought I would get quality service. Your office makes you pay for services up front and charge you more than what should be charged after insurance pays their portion. I ended up having a credit on my account for almost $130.00 dollars that I had over paid back in April. Your office never called me to inform me of my overpayment, I had to call them and question it as my insurance company informed that they paid more than you stated they would. I see now why you make patients pay prior to service because other wise if you did to other patients what you did to me then you would not get paid. First time shame on you, second time shame on me... I will not be back!!! UPDATE 10/26/2016 After having to call in twice to be able to speak to the director he was absolutely no help what so ever. He informed he the he would train the individuals. I then informed him that i wanted a copy of all my records from them and he informed me that he would not give me my notes on the account, that I would have to have my lawyer request them. read more

Because of my busy schedule I had to make my cleaning appoint for 0650 on Tuesday, March 29 but once I arrived the lady at the front desk informed me that it was canceled because they tried to call and left a message but I did not call them back to confirm. I knew I had not received any calls from them but I double checked my phone records and I they verified that I had not receive any calls or voicemails from them on the day they said they called (the Friday before). There is obviously a major breakdown in their confirmations procedures for this to have happened. Not to mention the hassle it caused me having to pay my sitter to take my kids to school, which was obviously not even needed and a waste of my money. read more

They were nice people but when I found out that they were not in network with my insurance I told them thank you but I would rather find a dentist that is in my network. I asked that they shedd my information and to have a great day. Well that was last week. Ever since than I've been getting emails and phone calls back to back to set an appointment. Obviously they didn't shed my paperwork like I asked and holding it. After receiving the calls and emails, I've told them several time to stop using my information and I will not be using their service but they still harass me. Please some one tell them to stop harassing people that does not want their service. The one star is for how nice they were when I came in. read more

I went in to get my teeth whitened and for an Invisalign consultation. Dr. Cho was very honest and informative. Lindsey, the hygienist who preformed my whitening was a sweetheart and did a fantastic job. I will definitely be a permanent patient here. Best dental experience I've had! read more

This office has been such a disappointment and full of many lies....I would strongly recommend going somewhere else!!

I came to this location with hopes of a positive experience. I was greeted with a smile, excellent service but then soon realized I was being worked on by an inexperienced dentist who did not set my crown (in the front of my mouth) correctly. After being told this would hold and would fix my concern, it didn't last. It fell out the next day. I called Normandy Dentistry and was told to come back in. They set it again but at dinner that night, it came out again. I called them back and went back in. They put a brace behind the crown that connected to the teeth beside it. That lasted 2 days. After a lot of frustration, I spoke with a manager and asked for a refund. She stated that I could have a refund but it would only be a credit that I could use towards an implant. (Nice way to tell me how to spend my money). So I went in for the consultation. All I wanted was my smile back and to be treated fairly. I was quoted $8,100 and was told the procedure would take 6 months to complete, would require a flapper and had the come in 3-4 times AND then asked if I could use my crown lol. Which I forgot to mention, was the wrong color. I could never whiten my teeth again due to the color of it. So I demanded a refund and explained that I could have an implant done at several other dentists in one day and around $2,000. They refused. Absolutely refused to give me my money back to treat me fairly. Worst, absolute worst dentist in Jacksonville and can go straight to hell. This will not be the only place I make sure their horrible business actions is on. I will consult channel 4 news, the BBB and Facebook. I will make sure no one else EVER has to deal with what I have gone through. I am not rich and had to work very hard to save for the money I applied to this. Please do not go here. In March 2016, I had a 4 tooth bridge replaced with two adjoining lumineers. I went back a month after and told the dentist that this bridge just wasn't fitting properly. I was told it was "perfect" and it would just take getting used to. In March 2018, the entire unit had to replaced as the margins were too high and the teeth underneath were decayed causing significant pain. I did not return to Normandy Dentistry and had the work done by another, very trusted, dentist. When I went to Normandy to ask for reimbursement for the failed bridge, I provided pictures and documentation was basically told to pound sand - not their problem. In the Normandy bridge replacement, I lost two teeth, and to make it work had to go with an 8 tooth bridge. The total cost was quite a lot of money not to mention hours in the chair and a lot of pain. Unless you purchase a "warranty" Normandy will NOT stand by their work. A bridge should last approximately 20 years. Normandy's lasted less than 2 years. I will be taking legal action. read more

Very disappointed! I was recommended to the practice and was told by multiple people when making the appointment and when checking in that the first visit was complimentary as part of their refer a friend program and that there would be no charge. I verified they took my insurance so that I continue to use them for future visits and I wanted to ensure that I would have no costs for this visit. They assured me everything was covered multiple times. They said the cancer screening was the only charge, which I declined as I had previously had it last year. I was told it would take under an hour so I made the appointment before I had to go to work. The visit lasted well over an hour, the whole time I made it clear I wanted only covered services, and I waited a very long time for the dentist to arrive as apparently none had even come in to the office. They recommended a paste and mouth wash for me to purchase and I agreed, as it would cost under $50; however when I got to checkout they where charging me well over $100 and it did not include the mouthwash I was told to buy as they did not have it in stock. I was told the x-rays they did were not covered by insurance and they were mandatory, I did not get a choice as to if I wanted them and because I had insurance the "complimentary" visit was no longer being extended. I spoke with who I was told was the office manager and she was exceptionally rude and was forced to pay the fee. I called for a week leaving messages for the office manager and finally got through. After three visits back in to the office they finally straightened out the billing mess and got me the correct products that I needed and I was told that the dental assistant was verifying my insurance for the procedures that needed to be done and that she would call me by the first week in December. This was in November....it is now March and I have yet to hear from them! I did however receive an email that they automatically set an appointment for me to come back in for a cleaning and to review the work that I did not complete.....how nice of them!! It would be nicer if they would follow through, verified my benefits and assisted me in getting the work I needed ! Not happy and do not recommend! This is the short version of a long story! read more
