My technician Denis was prompt and took the time to understand each repair job. The pricing was well explained prior to the work, and the work was completed within the time allocated. Denis was thorough, and assured the areas were wiped up and all materials removed. The dishwasher was a particularly messy job, and Denis rolled up his sleeves and tore through the years of buildup in the filter and bottom of the washer. It was spotless when he was done. The tech quickly diagnosed that the control board was he problem and that he could pick one up and be back the following day to install. Crystal called back later that morning and stated that she "just got off the phone with their parts distributor and said that the part was actually sent out the beginning of last week, but UPS doesn't have a record of it leaving the warehouse and unfortunately UPS must have messed up on this one. However, the distributor was sending parts out today (7/27) and they should be here tomorrow or Thursday. Received a call Thursday 7/29, part was in and a serviceman would be out to install the knob on Friday 7/30. It took all of 30seconds for "Paul" to remove the broken knob and install the new one. Total cost $110.75 and over 2 weeks of waiting. Very likely that if I hadn't kept calling I'd still be waiting and without a working dryer. I understand that because I'm not handy that I have to pay, but the runaround I received was unprofessional and deceptive. I will never use them again nor will I recommend them to any neighbors, friends, or family.

Hawkins replied quickly and definitively, and provided a reasonable look-see price that would be folded into the final price if I got the work done. Even better, they could come out the next day. The tech, Shawn, called when he was 16 min out and arrived right at the beginning of the two-hour window that had been promised. He couldn't have been more friendly, polite and professional. He got to the root of the problem quickly, and then found another. He fixed that, too. It had been a clogged drain and a blown wire of some kind. Then, he gave me some tips on how to keep the unit clean and fit going forward. I am so glad I called Hawkins and they will be my go-to appliance repair from now on. I could not have been more pleased with the work that was done.
