This place is run down. The walls are dirty, the tables are worn, the tableware mismatched, the menu dated, and disappointingly, the food is gross. Chili-cheese burger tasted like an over-worked and unseasoned frozen pre-made patty. The cheese is that chalky bagged and processed cheese that will outlast the coming apocalypse. Seriously, what's that white stuff on my orange cheese? The fries are limp, unseasoned, and greasy. The menu proclaims the Chicken Fried Steak to be their specialty. With the texture of Alpo, it was inedible, full of bitter grease from burnt bits no doubt left in their fryer, and 65 percent gristle. I've had better from school cafeteria leftovers. I don't mean to be rude, but when you're this apathetic about food quality, I get irritated having wasted hard earned money on slop. The only explanation I can surmise as to how it's so crowded is the rose colored glasses of nostalgia, family patronage, or Covid hit so hard nobody has any remaining taste buds in Twin. We ate breakfast at Norm's both mornings on our recent trip to Twin Falls, first day was so good we had to go back on the second. Everything was delicious and fresh, you can even get a side of homemade jam for your toast. My meat loving husband was happy with his giant Spanish omelet day 2 and the Norm's combo day 1. I had the Yoga from the secret menu: yogurt, tasty granola, super fresh strawberries and I substituted the banana muffin for toast. Also had a side of very well cooked grits both days. Stopped in and had the pork dinner. It was cert good and hot when it arrived at the table. Several slices of pork served with brown graveyard and applesauce. Side were seasoned green beans, mashed potatoes and dressing. The dressing was a bit heaven on the sage but still tasty. I would return again on my next trip. Yum! read more

We had some extra time this morning so we decided to spend it doing one of our favorite things, eating! I had heard good things about Norm's and we were not disappointed. The parking was horrendous but only because so many people wanted to eat there too. I had the Colorado scramble with homemade jam on sourdough, yummy, seasoned well, and cooked just right. Norm's is a classic worthy of a visit by the entire family. The ownership and waitstaff are fabulous They recently catered a celebration of life luncheon for nearly 100 people at a nearby rehabilitation center and I t was absolutely perfect, delicious and nutritious! The menu was thoughtfully prepared so that the residents with special needs could enjoy (i.e. chew!) it, while the staff and admin personnel could really savor a delightful meal. We had chicken with mushroom gravy, mashed potatoes, string beans done with bacon, onion and tomato, and bread and butter. For dessert there was their famous chocolate cake accompanied by ambrosia salad. All of this was organized by Vicky, the wife of the husband-wife ownership team. Her husband is the cook! Their catering prices are reasonable, too! I hear breakfasts at the restaurant are not to be missed and my cousin is amazed you can actually get milk-toast there in this day and age. The the homemade cinnamon roles apparently have a huge fan base! I must go back for breakfast the next time I am in Twin! We went there for dinner tonight, though, and it was really great-as anticipated. In addition to the usual diner menu, there were two daily specials. I went for the roast pork special and it was delicious, tender and tasty. It was served with mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, applesauce and a soft role. Plenty of carbs there to energize me for scarfing down their really incredible chocolate-peanut butter pie. OMG!!! And, according to my dining companions, the burgers and shakes are amazing, too!!!! Recently went to Norm's for breakfast, we love the small town diner feel it gives. It's perfect for easy going Sunday mornings when you just want a nice, comforting meal. I had, on the secret menu, the blueberry crepes. They were so delicious and definitely what I would recommend for someone who can't decide if they want pancakes or something lighter. The coffee is always hot, the service is always good, the sun is always shining, and Norm's is my favorite breakfast spot. Once a year I eat at Norm's when I am there for a reunion. We have a tradition to always have breakfast at Norm's and we are never disappointed! The Sun Valley omelet is the best omelet I have ever had. The perfect amount of Swiss cheese, thick chunks of bacon, lots of spinach, and a healthy dose of onions with the perfect amount of egg. Pretty hard to describe where it is but please, its worth the effort. Great service, lovely morning light. A special room in the back for the old-timers. I was hugely hungry, ordered French toast and a breakfast plate of toast, hashbrowns, egg, sausage and bacon, washed down with 4 cups of coffee. Just the ticket for another full day on the road. We chose the Jill burger, which is a bacon cheese burger. My husband had fries and I had onion rings. The food was genuinely good. The fries super good. Atmosphere was very comfortable. Norm's cafe had great ratings and it seemed like a great "mom and pop" shop in the pictures. You know the food is good when the parking lot is full. Great friendly staff with fast service. The place is simple and a bit dated but that's what you expect from these small local restaurants. The prices are just and the portions are big. No complaints on the quality of the food either. We had a lot of food for about $20 - two eggs scrambled with cheese, two eggs sunny side up, hash browns, 4 slices of toast, 4 slices of French toast, huge pancakes, two orders of sausage links, bacon, and two orange juices.
