I was in the Twin Falls area shooting a wedding and on the way out of town wanted to find a breakfast place to fill me up for the drive home to Boise. Norm's hit the spot! They were located where it was easy to find and when I pulled in, the place was PACKED, which is always a good sign. It's a seat yourself diner and everyone is very friendly welcoming you in. The menu has a variety of breakfast and lunch foods to appease all appetites and dietary needs. The prices are very reasonable and portion sizes are generous. I ordered the Good Morning special #4 which was a scramble with eggs, bell pepper, onion and ham. It came with hash browns and toast, but I substituted the toast for a cinnamon roll, which was also delicious. The only reason I gave it a 4 star was because the coffee was burnt. Visiting from out of town, we asked our waitress from the night before where a good place to have breakfast was. She said that she always goes to Norm's so we gave it a try. Great service, good prices, very fluffy pancakes and we were stuffed! Will definitely go back when we visit Twin Falls again. read more

Wife and I stopped there at 11:45 and where told that they were no longer serving breakfast until after 1:00. We went to another place but suggested that our family a day behind going through town try it out. They sat at the counter thinking that there would be pretty quick service with all the staff working right there but were not greeted for at least 10 minutes. They took almost a half and hour to get the food. Sitting at the counter they were able to see into the kitchen. The bread was cheap Sarah Lee, they microwaved the biscuits. Nothing was homemade. The french toast was so contaminated by oil, most likely by using the same skillet and not cleaning. Very disappointing that I recommended this place. Had an awful experience with a server named vicky. We have been waiting for 15 minutes for out meals. Two other gentlemen come in and within 5 minutes they have their meal. We are still waiting for our food. Not to mention vicky said "you aren't the only ones in here, you will get your food when it's ready" never coming here again. My wife and I decided to try Norm's after it was recommended to us by one of my co-workers back in October 2013. We have been back several times for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The staff is always friendly and food usually comes hot and fast! It can get pretty busy at lunch so come early to get a seat. Menu is full of great home cooked items. read more

My family and I have been to Norm's many times. And each time we go we receive outstanding service. No complaints there - actually, if anything, we must give the servers accolades because every single time we go in it is packed with patrons. And every time we are promptly seated and asked what we'll have to drink. Minutes later, soda, water, milk, OJ -whatever we ordered to drink- is served. I'd even venture to say that the servers here are the best (if not in the top five) here in Twin. The food there is no better or no worse than typically flavored cafe food. The bacon, eggs, pancakes, burgers, waffles, sausage (I've had it all) is all very good, but then again, how can someone screw up scrambled eggs? Or throwing raw bacon on a grill and letting it sit there until just right? My point is that Norms is just the right place if you are hungry and want lots of filling food for typical prices. Old timers who've been farming in Twin Falls since the Lincoln Administration favor this place so expect that kind of crowd each time. read more

I have never been to the actual restaurant, but I attended an event catered by these people. I have to say it was the most bland and flavorless meal I've ever eaten. I'd probably never eat in the restaurant after this experience. I think McDonalds would have been a better meal. read more

This is and interesting review for me because i have a few dislikes even though I gave them a five. First I will say the food is great down home cooking. Cheese burgers, onion rings, fries, biscuits and gravy, hash browns...all my favorites. And fantastic prices with good sized portions. Try the hash browns with sausage gravy soooo good!!!!! And super friendly stafff!! Now the down side lol...if you are super hungry you will be in trouble. Service is VERY slow. The place gets VERY crowded so food can take 30 minutes, you will be ready to eat a napkin. Also some times they arent open when you expect them to be. Went for a cheese burger on a Sunday at 4 and they were closed. I suppose it might have to do with location? Its odd because the place in a kinda seedy area but the people who eat there are mostly middle class loacals in clean and tidy clothes.Infact they dress better than in most places I have eaten in Twin. This is one of our favorite places to eat here in downtown Twin Falls. It is classic diner home style cooking. Fresh cut fries (best in town) and a great burger is consistently good here. My husband and I have heard about Norm's and have seen the building while out and about, but never stopped. Well, we gave it a shot on 12-13-2013 and were sooo glad we gave this diner a chance! The people were so friendly and welcoming, the food was amazing and we couldn't believe how well priced everything was on the menu! I had the chicken fried steak and my husband had a double cheese burger. We were both completely satisfied with our food and service... (Tasted like I made it at home). The cherry pie my husband had was great as well. We also loved all the old pictures of Twin Falls and the charming decor of period pieces around the restaurant. I am horrified with my visit to this restaraunt. First off, lets start off with the fact that NO ONE wore gloves. Two of the cooks had thick beards and had nothing covering their heads or faces. They touched all the food with bare hands. I saw a waitress lick her fingers after dishing up a customer pie. I found a METAL shaving AND an egg shell in my pancake. And what do they do to fix this issue? Take 2 dollars off my bill. I would have been much more satisfied with this visit if they would have put an honest effort into fixing the problem. read more

We went to a catered retirement party where Norm's Cafe provided the food. My husband and I were extremely dissatisfied in the quality of the food. They served salisbury steak, chicken, green beans seasoned with bacon, and rolls, which my husband reported were not very tasty. I'm a vegetarian, so I tried to eat a green salad. The salad or dressing (I couldn't tell) had such an off taste that I could only stomach a few bites. I thought for sure that they couldn't mess up dessert, but it was also subpar and included a few pieces of egg shell. We love to support local businesses, but we will not be back for more at Norm's. read more

Looking at it from the outside it looks like a hole in the wall. The atmosphere was perfect for a small family dinner. The service was great the waitress was very attentive to us. The food was great as well and had that home cooked look and taste. There were no complaints from our table other than wondering why we haven't eaten here before now.
