Let's see. Where can I begin.. I called North air because I looked online for local ac repair guys and this company came up first. I decided to look on their Yelp! and found that there was a pretty decent rating of 3.5 stars so I decided to give it a try. Boy was that a good decision. Not only did the repair guy come out on the quoted time, but he was courteous and respectful. While I may have just ran into the best of their bunch, it is definitely enough to make me a repeat customer on their professionalism alone. But that is in no way where the good comments end. This guy came out, looked at my unit for about 10 minutes, and found the solution to a problem that has plagued my unit for a month and a half. I must've called around 3-4 repair guys to service it but all they did was take me for my money and leave the problem as is. I digress; the point of my review is to say that, based on my first impression, this company hires quality technicians that know how to get the job done. AND FAST. My AC went out on a Friday afternoon right before a weekend that was predicted to have record high temperatures. I called around 4pm and Vigen came to my house within the hour. Maybe I was just lucky that he was available so quickly (I happen to live in Burbank), but I was very happy that he was. In between my phone call and his visit, I Googled my AC's symptoms and read about what would be the most likely cause of my problems. Sure enough, after he checked my system, he said it was exactly that, which was a relatively simple and not very expensive fix. He had the part in his car and about 30 minutes later, my AC was running again and it has been working great every since. He seems like a real honest, straight-shooter, and very knowledgeable and capable. I would definitely use his services again. read more

I cannot say enough good things about North Air and Vigen. I found him years ago when the yellow pages still existed. I needed a new AC, he was prompt, well informed, and gave honest and excellent advice. He has maintained the unit over the years and is always available for any issue. This was recently proved in spades when I began having repeated partial power outages. He identified the concern that my 100 year old house with an addition and remodels was in need of an upgrade for safety as well as function. It was done efficiently, for a reasonable price, and with great success...so much so that it unearthed some DWP issues which he pursued with them for me. Vigen arrived promptly at 2 pm. I had called earlier in the day, and told a technician would be here between 2 and 4. Explained my problem to Vigen, he checked out my compressor and determined that I needed coolant. He added coolant to the unit and told me to keep an eye on it if it started to not cool, and said there might be a leak in the tank. We discussed doing some upgrades to my system, of which he seemed knowledgeable. No hard sell or rush to do work right away. Told me to call if we decided if and when we might do uprgrades. Just today I had the pleasure of making Vigan's acquaintance, as I called in asking for some help troubleshooting my A/C heating unit in my studio. He was super knowledgeable and very patient with me as we tried to figure out what could be the problem. Eventually we figured out that it was nothing more that user error and that I had set the unit to operate in the wrong mode. Ultimately, he spent a good amount of his time trying to help me, and when we figured out it was something so trivial, he laughed and had a wonderful sense of humor about it. Our HVAC unit died on a Friday night, during our most recent heat wave, and we called North Air early on Saturday morning. They were able to come by first thing that morning and had us back up and running within the hour. They were very clean, friendly and helpful, explaining what was going on while taking a look at our entire set up. They are a local business to the Burbank area and Vigen has been doing this for over 20 years. I should also say the prices were very reasonable and we will definitely have them back out next year to service the unit. read more

I called North Air on Wednesday morning because my on roof heating and cooling unit was not heating. Wednesday afternoon, at 1:00 o'clock Vigen came by the house to look at the unit. He determined the unit was at least 40 years old and would be better off to replace it. He found a new unit that would fit exactly where the existing one was, his replacement price was excellent. On Friday of the same week, he installed the new unit, and by noon it was up and running. Tremendous service, polite and prompt with a fair price. Highly recommended. read more

Ready. They put in a ductless AC unit. 9000 btu. (We had an 18000 but in before) when I called an told them it was not efficient enough for our space ($4200 later).. He told me that I should have done my homework. He said you ok'ed it. We did. But I told him, we did based on you recommendations, you're the expert. Not cool. No really, NOT COOL. Our home AC stopped working suddenly, in the middle of a Glendale heat wave. We called North Air after 2-3 others said they were too busy to send anybody for 5 days or more. Air North responded within 2 hours, with a factory trained TRANE air conditioning expert, with a truck with all the necessary parts and supplies, who diagnosed, repaired and put our AC in service within 1 hour. Price was fair; the service rep was a real pro, and the system is working fine now. Five stars. read more

Vigen from North Air provided excellent, immediate service. I described what was going on via a quick phone call, and he knew exactly what was going on with my air conditioning. Despite his being very busy, he swung by my home on his way home and made the repair for a fair price in less than half an hour. He was straightforward, friendly, and professional. Vigen came out to quote a whole new system as our house was not equipped with AC. He was very nice and gave us lots of options to choose from within our price range. Changed out our thermostat the other week. Of course I forgot to shut off power to the furnace and blew the fuse. After searching for it (to no avail..YORK doesn't even put it on the diagram for our furnace!!) and calling 3 other HVAC companies...North Air & Vigen were there within an hour. Called North Air at 2:30pm on a Sunday with my heating system not firing. I knew it was the igniter and no way i could fix it. Vigen came personally to my house by 5pm. Fixed me up,didn't murder me with the bill and was off. How can you top that?! read more
