Visits here went downhill fast. Dr Campos started being the one we were seeing, instead of Dr Brackett, and the last visit had us waiting in the next room for 45 minutes before being greeted nonchalantly by Dr Campos, who had not washed his hands between the last patient and my dog. You can hear everything between the two rooms as there are no doors. When asked by myself to please wash his hands, he lied and said he had already done that, but walked over to the sink and ran the water for 5 seconds before walking right back in with hands not even wet, so he didn't even do that. That isn't even what I'm most livid about today. During this visit, my dog was weighed and came in at 44 pounds. She was given her new prescription for Simparica Trio, and was sent home with the incorrect dosage... a dosage for TWICE the size of my dog- 88 to 132 pounds. Having noticed that after giving the pill to my dog while cutting out the open pocket of packaging, my heart immediately sank. I ChatGPTed what to do , and also called my vet friend who lives out of town. She said to get her to the ER within 2 hours to have her throw it up. I tried calling the office and their emergency extension and left voicemails, and no one ever called me back, not even the next day to apologize and see how she was. When I emailed them the bill and proof of incorrect dosage, I was responded to the next day with a belittling message and a note saying they would have to seek legal council. All I asked for was a reimbursement of the medication and the trip. They said they could swap out the medication and reimburse the difference if I sent them the bills. But I just moved out of town and don't even live there anymore to do that, but who would want to ever go back there after this?? After all this, they didn't even bother to look at the fact that I already sent them all the information for reimbursement. read more

I took my 6 month old female kitten to North broad animal clinic on March the 4th 2026. They spayed her and her incision looked okay at first. 9 days after her surgery her top layer of sutures were removed because she had a knot underneath her incision. I told them I thought it was a hernia they checked her out and said keep an eye on it that it was just a little hard not after the surgery. It seems to bulge more when she is tight or when she moves. I've taken my animals here for many years but have never let them do surgery on any of them until now. I wish That I had not done that and I will never take animals for surgery to North broad animal clinic. But they're close by so I might take my animals for other smaller procedures like shots and checkups. read more

I have parakeets ( birds) which are considered exotic pets. I searched all over Rome to find a vet to clip their toe nails. I am delighted to have found North Broad Animal Clinic. The staff and doctor were wonderful. The whole experiance for my first time there was outstanding ! What ever your pet, this is the place to go. Excellent all way around. I highly recommend the Veterinarians, Dr. Brackett and Dr. Campos, along with their caring staff. My senior cat was in distress, and he was seen promptly and kept overnight. He is 20 years and his kidneys are the issue. After an overnight stay for fluids and feeding him the next day he is up and about. Not as usual, but he is gaining his strength. They recommended a change of diet and gave him a thorough blood test and something for his pain. Again, I highly recommend North Broad Animal Clinic. read more

I utilized this charming place today in an emergency with a kitten hit by a car. Dr. Brackett was wonderful and kind as he recommended humane euthanasia. I knew he was right but needed to hear it from him. I admired his mannerism in dealing with the baby kitten and in dealing with me, I could not stop crying. He deserves 5 stars for sure. He also deserves 5 stars for allowing an emergency visit. The one thing that was hard to take was the lady at the front desk could not have been more unkind if her life depended on it. I have been to N.B. Animal Clinic for years and 2 dog's. I recently took my dog for a flea treatment. He almost killed my dog. She wouldn't move, eat or drink water. I called him on the emergency line and he was so condescending and mean I couldn't believe it. At the end, I was crying and he said "Do you want me to promise your dog won't die? Ok, I promise your dog won't die" I cared for her and after 6 day's, she is finally back to Lucy. I was shocked at the way he treated me. He asked me if I wanted him to rent a car and drive back to the office just to see my dog. He said he just got off a plane in Chattanooga. And accused me of not disclosing a pre-existing condition. I'm still in shock as I had taken my last dog to him for years and I wonder now if he just put her to sleep so as not to be bothered. He didn't examine her or ask me questions. She was 12. She may have lost her hearing and he told me years ago she had cataracts. Like I said, I went to him for years. I wouldn't take a lady bug to him now. Looking for a new vet. I have read some of the other reviews, one from 2014, and I don't know who thinks the office is charming. I was willing to over look the condition of the building because the vet seemed caring. I trusted him with my little dog who was rescued from a puppy mill in 2011. He put her to sleep 2022. I adopted my Lucy 2 months later and will never take her there again. read more

It isn't the newest and shiniest office, just a humble little building. But the people there make it so special! My little dog was a rescue, she is terrified of people she doesn't know, especially men. Amazingly, she isn't afraid of Dr Brackett. His calm, caring manner soothes her so that she actually stops shaking while he's treating her. I appreciate that he isn't quick to recommend expensive procedures unless they're truly necessary. The doctor takes time to listen and try to get to the root of the problem, I can only imagine the challenges in treating patients who can't tell you what's wrong. He really goes the extra mile for his patients- when she was given a prescription that required half a pill twice daily, he even cut all the pills in half for me! I have arthritis so little things like that are huge to me. All the staff are wonderful. They obviously really love animals. It's fairly quiet and laid back, which is exactly the setting my Katie needs. They are very kind and patient with her. The prices are also far more reasonable than many other vets I checked with. I'm so happy to have found them. read more
