It's almost impossible to get your pets in for an appointment without a two week wait. Going to go elsewhere.

Because of that, I was nervous about finding a new vet--especially since Charlie isn't exactly friendly with humans outside of his family. That changed when we visited Dr. Tonia and her team at Sedro-Woolley Veterinary Clinic. From the moment we arrived, they made both Charlie and me feel at ease. Dr. Tonia completed his check-up, provided flea medication, updated his shots, and even clipped his nails--all while showing complete confidence in her skills and her team's ability to handle him. Most importantly, there was no judgment or shaming toward either of us, just genuine care and professionalism. The cost was about half of what I had been quoted at the Burlington clinic that will remain nameless (if you live in the valley, you probably know which one I mean). I will absolutely be recommending Sedro-Woolley Veterinary Clinic to anyone in need of veterinary services. Thank you again, Dr. Tonia and staff--Charlie and I will definitely be returning, even if it's just for a nail trim!

Recently, my littlest cat was acting very weird and stopped eating over a period of a few days. I thought it might be because of the heat wave we were having at the time, but when she got increasingly lethargic and started hiding, I got worried and called Chuckanut Valley. They got us right in! After quite a bit of poking and prodding, not to mention a full panel of tests, it was determined that my cat was likely just hot. It was a pretty expensive diagnosis, but I was relieved it wasn't something worse. The doctors and staff here are always so loving and kind. And while their prices are definitely premium (aren't all vets?) I do appreciate they have prescription meds on hand when I need them for my pets, and offer discounts if you offer full diagnostic panels. I am so happy to have found them!

I took her back and they said "correlation does not imply causation". It was all CYA. " not our problem ". The vet says he'll be right back. He goes out for 10+ minutes. I go to see what's going on. He was typing. My guess is that he is adjusting the report on the procedure. Ultimately my dog died. I'll never go back. And suggest the same for you.

Front office is friendly, punctual, and the pricing is very reasonable. My dog had a minor panic attack in the lobby when someone with 8 chihuahuas + 0 leashes showed up. Vets were very therapeutic, kept us all comfortable, and absolute pros when it came to diagnostics and prescribing. In house pharmacy is a bonus! We have found our vets

I doubt it. I fell for it because they were supposed to be VETS AND take care of My Dogs. They're not supposed to run up unnecessary charges for things that are not necessary. Not only did My Dogs molar try likely NOT need to come out, they didn't even clean her teeth properly. I had to have them re-clean in less than a year. I also had to have a series of vaccinations done on both of my dogs which cost full price for three years rabies vaccination that I told them I wanted instead they gave me the one-year vaccination. I had to have that redone by my normal good vet in less than a year. I HATE THESE PEOPLE !!! Don't go there !!! I got my dog out of that office and immediately noticed that her teeth cleaned at all paid almost $3000 for unnecessary surgeries teeth cleanings and vaccinations that had to be redone in less than a year. She's been taking the pill for 3 years without any complications or side effects. However, from the beginning to the end of my appointment, Dr. Samson seemed to be under the impression I had just wandered in from the street to score a cheap fix. All information I provided was treated with extreme skepticism. She insisted we needed a $75 urine test before we could refill the prescription. I informed her and her assistant that my dog had just recently had a $200 blood test that came back 100% healthy. All complications related to the medication are related to blood pressure and heart rate, so a blood test is a more than sufficient test for problems developing from the use of the medication. The doctor left the room and proceeded to have a conversation about me in the hallway outside the door. They called my other vets office and looked over the blood test. After 15 minutes of discussion, the vet tech sheepishly re-entered the room and informed me that they would not be refilling my prescription until the urine collection was complete. I asked if I could get a dose for the night so she wouldn't miss a pill and lapse in her medication. I was denied. So effectively, my dogs health and medication was held hostage for a pee test. I was given an apology from the vet tech (Dr. Samson never did re-appear after her initial brisk assessment) and sent on my way with my test kit. The next morning I dropped off her urine sample and was informed that I'd receive a call when the test was complete. 8 hours later and no call, so I gave them a ring on my way home from work. I was informed that the test was healthy and I could pick up my prescription any time. Again I received a half-apology ("Sorry it took so long to get back to you") to which I replied, "Well I had to call you, but that's okay. I'll be there soon." Finally arrived, waited another 10 minutes and received my prescribed medicine. Which, naturally, was labeled NO REFILLS in bold type. I asked the vet tech and she informed me that the vet wanted to do another exam before she could get a refill. The prescription only lasts 30 days. It's safe to say that I won't be returning to this office for a follow up exam. Rude treatment followed by weak apologies and a disregard for my dogs health and prescribed medication. I should also mention how odd I found the impersonal nature of my veterinarian. I had brought my other dog with me to the vets office because the one needing treatment is very shy. She never even acknowledged the other dog in the room, never asked his name, never put on the usual niceties that I guess I've just come to expect from a veterinarian. A bizarre and dissatisfying experience overall.

We were able to schedule an…read moreelective surgery just before it turned into an emergency thanks to his quick consultation and ability to move forward with surgery right away. Dr. Milan took the time to answer every single one of my questions, explain the details thoroughly, and develop a plan that prioritized my dog's success while also being mindful of financial constraints. He focused on the essential tests that made the surgery possible for me to afford, and it was always clear that his top priority was my pet's well-being and quality of life. He is exceptional at what he does, and I will always be grateful I found him. The techs were also fantastic; walking me through the pre- and post-op process with care and professionalism. That said, the business side of this hospital left a very different impression. The financial policies feel rigid, profit-driven, and disconnected from the compassion their medical staff provides. My dog's gallbladder surgery was around $10k and they required full upfront payment before even beginning check-in. This drastically delayed check and check out unnecessarily. They do not offer direct pay options with insurance providers and insisted this was somehow a "benefit" to me. In reality, requiring $10k cash or card upfront- and even refusing checks- puts families in heartbreaking positions during emergencies. The check-in process was stressful and impersonal. My dog wasn't even taken back until the payment fully cleared, which took about 30 minutes while I worked with my bank to lift a daily card limit. During checkout, I was immediately presented with a card machine for an additional $850 balance before they would even start preparing my dog for release. There was no warm greeting, no conversation about how my dog did- just a transaction. It made me feel like seeing my dog again was contingent on payment, which overshadowed the relief I felt knowing the surgery was successful. While the front desk is urgent and quick to demand the money- they cannot answer a single billing question from your receipt. In summary: The medical staff here, especially Dr. Milan, are outstanding and truly care about pets and their families. Unfortunately, the administrative and financial side of the clinic delivers a cold, business-first experience that undermines the incredible work being done in the operating room. If Dr. Milan were to practice elsewhere, I would follow him without hesitation. Huge tip: if you are traveling from out of town or just want an additional night right next to their 24/7 urgent care the hotel has a contract with them that provides a great discount. My dog had TPLO surgery and she is now 100% back to her old self! From the initial consultation to post-surgery care, to rehabilitative services, everyone seemed focused on our goal, which was for my dog to be able to run (her favorite activity) and live her best life. We can't say enough good things about everyone, from the staff at the front desk, to the techs providing information, to anyone (everyone!) who took my calls post-surgery as we worked through a significant healing process. We opted for rehab services and couldn't have found a better care team!
