a table with a cup of coffee and a plate of food

I didn't stay at the hotel. Was there for outpatient services and found it on Google maps. It's a buffet and they also will serve you an omellete.. There's no waffle bar contrary to what some have said. Coffee and juice is included. It's $23.00 plus the tip. The buffet includes bacon, sausage, an egg on a english muffin, fresh fruit, salmon carpaccio, breads, croissants, scones, among other choice items. It's quiet, windowy, clean, nicely decorated, with fireplace. Jazz plays over the PA. It has a very 'Chicago' vibe to it. They take credit cards or charge to your room. You don't need to be a guest to dine here. You'll find it a nice place to have breakfast. Open until about 2:30pm

This is a lovely atmosphere as it is within the Intercontinental Hotel. I have been here for both the breakfast buffet as well as lunch buffet. For breakfast, there is a pretty standard spread of General Mills cereals and milk, orange juice, coffee/tea, etc. and a nice make-your-own omelette station (though beware--a line definitely forms here). If you're vegan, your options will pretty much be restricted to fruit and potentially some of the cereals/oats. Lunch has an impressive spread of desserts and a hearty spread of meats dishes and roasted vegetables. Vegans will likely have to order off the menu (their kale salad is actually pretty good!), and sometimes even the vegetable dishes are made with meat products (broth, etc) so vegetarians may find few options, as well. On one occasion, I was there with my family and my salad took ~40 minute to come out, so it was given to me for free and I was allowed to take whatever I wanted from the buffet. In general, though the service (there's a coat check, too) and location are great, I have found the food to be just "OK," hence the 3 stars. It's nothing horrible or bad, but nothing particularly creative or unique. The taste of the food definitely does not align well with the price.

Okay strawberry cheese cake with what i thought was chocolate mousse but turned out to have the texture of uncooked browney batter.

Stopped in today for lunch after 4 long days at the hospital and wanting to get some fresh air. We were sceptical going in because of the mixed reviews. Walked in and we were greeted but not very nicely, decided to try the lunch buffet since it was Mediterranean and we wanted a change from hospital food. The buffet was $22 each so we were expecting more then what there was, there was only one line with a warm section of meat ( pork loin, chicken and a lamb carving station) mixed with that was roasted potatoes and roasted veg. After that was the cold bar with some salads as well as pasta, bean and potato salad. Then was the deserts of strawberry cheese cake, mixed berry strusle, chocolate shot glasses with whipped cream and a cup cake of some sort. The only thing that stood out was the lamb carving station were it was sliced to order and you could get it on warmed naan bread with an assortment of veggies. The rest of the food was jusy okay and would fit well on any much cheaper buffet menu. The only goodish desert was th cheese cake with a nice balance of sweet and fresh with the strawberries. The service was absolutely horrible, showed up at 1pm amd the close at 2:30pm there were only 3 tables that were there not including us and we had to ask for a refill of are water. Needles to say that for the price i would expect much more from the food and much much much more from the service or lack there of. We definitely will not be back and not be recommending this place.

    Nice ambiance

Both were delicious! The biscuit was perfectly buttery, and it was covered in a rich, flavorful mushroom gravy and came with scrambled eggs. It was filling but somehow not too heavy. I licked my plate clean. The pancake was also wonderful. It was topped with a thin layer of rhubarb jam that brought a nice tartness along with a dollop of sorghum butter and whipped cream, and served with Ohio maple syrup on the side. I could have easily had a whole stack of the pancakes. The staff was friendly, and though the place was busy, the service was efficient. Excited to come here again! The place was packed, but the wait for a table was no problem at all--it was clearly worth it. I ordered the French toast (and calling it that doesn't do it justice). It was apple cinnamon toast layered with sweetened cream cheese, Ohio maple syrup, and Nolan's milk bread--and it was beyond anything I've ever tasted. Every bite had my taste buds popping. I couldn't finish the whole plate, but only because I was full, not because I wanted to stop. The space itself is small, cozy, and incredibly charming--cute, quaint vibes that make the whole experience feel warm and special. Truly an unforgettable brunch. I'm already dreaming about going back.

The food was outstanding across the board, and the service was attentive, professional, and on point throughout the evening. The only minor hiccup involved our seating. We had reserved a table on the patio, which is usually the perfect place to dine. Unfortunately, the weather turned out to be a bit cooler than expected. By the time we were finishing our main courses, it had become too cold to fully enjoy the outdoor setting. We had inquired earlier about moving inside, but the restaurant was unable to accommodate us at that time due to capacity. Thankfully, they were able to find us a table indoors for dessert, which we greatly appreciated. That turned out to be the perfect ending to the evening, as the desserts were every bit as impressive as the rest of the meal. Overall, this was an excellent dining experience with outstanding food and service. The weather was the only thing that kept it from being absolutely perfect, and the staff did their best to make things right. We would happily return.

Interesting mix of textures and flavors. Pretty good but probably wouldn't get again. 3.5/5 The staff mentioned that the red curry mussels ($17) was a popular dish, and it was the favorite of the night. I usually don't like mussels but the sauce was super flavorful and the mussels were tender. 5/5 Never had a bone-in pork schnitzel ($42) and while it was pricey, it was quite the size. Definitely couldn't finish all of it, so had leftovers to take back. 4/5 Service was decent, good recommendations. Small cozy atmosphere. Parking available as free street parking. Overall a little pricey but nice food in a cozy place.

We parked in the back which was convenient for going to the west side market after. The patio is bright and well decorated with flowers. Good cocktails, solid atmosphere, and the kind of spot that would normally earn a regular visit. If this were just about the experience, it'd be four stars easy. But I can't in good conscience leave it there. Owner Bobby George faced serious charges including attempted murder, four counts of kidnapping, two counts of strangulation, felonious assault, and rape -- and ultimately pleaded guilty to attempted strangulation, receiving no jail time despite those original charges. Hard pass on putting dollars in that pocket. Then there's the food angle. TownHall markets itself as a health-forward restaurant, but they've gone fully seed-oil-free, cooking exclusively in beef tallow -- positioned as some wellness revolution. The Cleveland Clinic disagrees, with a cardiovascular dietitian stating beef tallow is simply not a healthy cooking choice due to its high saturated fat content. Ironic for a place selling itself as the clean-eating destination of Ohio. Good bar, bad owner, questionable food science. I'll spend my money elsewhere.

The location of the restaurant on the Cuyahoga River on the east bank of the flats makes it a destination. On my first visit, I was with coworkers for lunch. Our server was fast and friendly, but we had some trouble being seated due to their 'policy'. After we were seated, given menus, and drink requests were taken, I decided to request the curry bowl. While we waited, I walked around the flats. A while later, our food was delivered. My supervisor requested walleye and my coworker requested a veggie sandwich with fries. The fries were served shoestring style and they were cold. My boss said his walleye was excellent. My corworker said her veggie sandwich was delicious and it was huge. My curry bowl was excellent.
