The biggest issue was a leaking faucet in the room, which suggests that maintenance could be improved. Overall, the hotel was adequate for a short stay, mainly because of the cleanliness and pleasant breakfast area, but the maintenance issues and cramped room size kept the experience from being more enjoyable.

No communication was made to us prior to arriving at the hotel about our room not being ready. No concessions were made at that time because our booking was done through "www.hotels.com". During our stay our room developed a significant water leak from a ceiling light/fan fixture. This happened very late at night; I called down to the front desk and after waiting for several minutes I received a call back. By this time the water leak from the ceiling had mostly stopped, however we used all our hotel towels mitigating the water leak. The staff offered an adjacent room for us to stay in. However, it was very late at night and we had sleeping children and being that the water leak seemed to have stopped on its own we opted to stay in our room.  When we came back to our room the next day, the water leak was still active.  The hotel had not sent anyone to fix the leak and they had not sent anyone from housekeeping to clean up the huge water mess.  I went and spoke with the front desk staff personally and asked for assistance, however we never received any for the remainder of our stay. We spent the majority of our time out of the room because of this issue. We then had to leave the property several hours earlier than our scheduled check out time due to the bathroom being unusable. It was unusable because of an active water leak and a standing water all over the floor. Again, I called down to the front desk early on the morning of our check out to ask for assistance and they didn't provide any. After telling them that morning what the issues were that we were having, the response from staff was "Ok". The onsite manager was never available, and I was never able to speak to them.  This was by far the worst hotel experience I have ever had and I will not be staying a best western ever again.

The decor was shabby and the cabin needed a deep cleaning. Carpets were disgusting. The fridge froze our food. Many of the light fixtures were missing bulbs or the bulbs were dead. My parents and I were very disappointed in this cabin as it was over $400/night. My dad called during the stay to make complaints and the host did not call back. He made several other attempts to contact her to request at least partial refund and she never called him back. See photos.

All of the workers were nice, the mattresses were extremely comfy, and the views were beautiful. All components of a great stay. Truthfully maybe this place doesn't deserve five stars. We requested two rooms next to each other since our teenage children would be in one room and we were in the other. When the young person finally showed up they had a guest in tow and they proceeded to say they needed to take care of this customer before us and then put them in a different room than they originally had, weird but ok. We tell her and she gives the whole "well we are booked up so there's nothing I can do". Upon check out we see that we were suppose to have the room next to our kids but she gave that room to the guy before us and then proceeded to put us in a room $100 more than we reserved without telling us. The more expensive room was across from the ice machine and the emergency exit so we had to deal with people getting ice and chatting outside our room door for three days! Twice I was woken up in the middle of the night because loud guests were chatting outside our door by the ice machine. The whole place was dirty and run down. Restaurant was ok but very much heat and serve food. Pool was disgusting and you could see hair and dead skin floating on the top. Hot tub was also gross and had sand all over in it. The elevator started moving when we stepped in before the doors were closed and then we noticed the almost transparent because it was so old goldfish cracker in the ceiling of the elevator. The ironing board was not working it did not stand and the back had a lot of dust like it had not been used in months. One of the lamps was not working on the same side of wall the electrical outlet was not working either. It was nice to have a fridge and microwave.

If you like Latinx food, across the street is an authentic Mexican restaurant (Perlita's Mexican Restaurant). The Bayview Inn front desk manager said that was restaurant has good reviews. I bought 3 nice size tacos for $17. Anyway, the Bayview Inn has a very large parking lot. I give a rating of 5-stars because I found the place to be welcoming, and the room to be clean and comfortable. When in the city again, I'll definitely stay here.
