This is a popular hub for road trippers and travelers to sleep in the parking lot behind the casino and use their bathroom. I felt incredibly safe sleeping here, security patrolling and a nice bathroom inside the casino that is available 24/7. They have complimentary drinks ( coffee and soda) and you can play slots if you want! Warm heater inside casino and my fav part was waking up to the beautiful forest, nice cold weather and having a bathroom I can use in the morning. read more

Hotel staff were friendly and accommodating. Rooms were clean, beds were comfy, and the food was pretty good. We spent the night so we could do the Redwoods the next day and am glad we stayed here instead of lodging in Crescent City. Since I'm a foodie, I've gotta be honest. It was good enough. Not great. Not a reason to stay at the hotel. The wings and pizza were the best. Homemade dough, and crispy wings. I was going to order the tacos, but was glad I didn't when I saw them. They're definitely lacking some pizass. I wanted to love the Alfredo, but it didn't taste homemade enough for me. Drinks were strong, service was wonderful, and the slot machines paid out. I went to the ATM machine next to the Cashier's cage last Monday. I requested $100. I noticed today, Thursday, that my ATM receipt only showed that I was given $60. My bank shows the $100, plus $3 for the ATM fee. I called the casino just to be told that it was my bank's problem. The manager would not give me his name. He hung up on me twice! Also when any one uses the cash out machines, they never give the change. At the end of the day, that really must add up to their favor! They are thieves. read more

Where do I start. Cable was out our entire stay, they said they were trying to fix it and never did. The people next to us were so loud and obnoxious. We couldn't turn on the tv to drown them out though! Decided to go to the casino for food. The nachos were gross the ground beef tasted microwaved heated up and old. The nacho sauce was watery and had a weird flavor. They charged us for another tables dinner(which they fixed) but overall a terrible place especially for the expensive price! Uhhh, I'm not sure how this great casino restaurant doesn't have a much higher rating. We ordered take on 2/22 /26 and I had to jump on to leave this review. The food is fantastic. Probably the best fish and chips is the area and beyond. The clam chowder is delicious too-definitely add the bread bowl because it's huge and garlicky, yet light. Truly amazing bread. The chocolate cake is fabulous. Whoever was in the kitchen this day, great job, everything was perfect. The person who took our order was sweet and very helpful as well. Thank you to her for suggesting the bread bowl. Best suggestion ever. We've eaten here for years and hadn't been back for several years or so. It was always good, clean and friendly. The venue is newer and is very nice. The food was the standard fair including burgers, fry's etc. The reason for only four stars. There are only a few Bally American made machines. The rest are foreign made and the look feel and sound are just off to me and I don't enjoy them. read more

We go to this casino every once in a while. I can tell you in the last year they have tightened their slots so much. You are basically donating to them. We used to go more often and win a little here abd there. You can literally put in $300 or $500 and not even get a bonus on the slots. And if you do, you may win a tiny amount. I got a bonus after dropping $300 (in the one machine) nickles, $3.00 bet... bonus, extra spins... and won $11.00!! Spent $1200 throughout the casino on two trips. It make it not fun to go. Their food has gotten a little better but can be hit abd miss. We stayed one time with a comped room. It was ok, except for the open lube squshed out in the drawer in the night stand and a condom. Also earning comps there is outrageous how much you have to ay to get just $20 free play. And even then they day it resets weekly but i had checked a few times previously and its very random when its actually on there. (And yes, that was back when i was playing much more consistently). They need to losen their slots!! It would be much more fun to go there, and would we would go there more. Most of the staff there though is very friendly! read more

Really nice place to have your special event for a large group of people such as award banquet or business conference, etc. I really enjoyed the event that was held here at the large conference room with buffet, cash bar and apple pie deserts. There were over 200 guests, and the banquet room was well organized and attended. The foods were served with fast buffet lines and great bartenders as well as coffee pots, pie center. The hotel has ocean view, and the restaurant has very decent food and drinks! The best part is that the price for everything is so reasonable. It's because the casino and hotel are both owned by Tolowa Indian Tribe! You should try it out. It's near Smith River. read more

Rooms: I've stayed in a lot of supposedly higher class hotels and resorts over the years, but this one was surprisingly nice. Usually, any room you stay in has been put through the ringer after so many guests have come through, but this place looked like it was new. They clearly put a lot of money on keeping it spotless and updated. The shower was one of the best ever. Good water pressure, super clean, never ran out of hot water, and the stone work was beautiful. I am a bed snob. Every place has mostly terrible beds. Some just barely get me through the night, but these were as comfortable as my bed at home! The food: The restaurant experience was.. interesting. The food was better than I was expecting but had some weird misses. The fish tacos were quite good, but the sauce was a weird sweet red salsa? If they had a traditional fish taco dressing they would have knocked it out of the park (the tortillas even seemed handmade, but I doubt it). The burger came bone dry with no condiments, we had to ask for stuff. The portion sizes are itty bitty for most things. We don't eat much food, we typically split dishes, but definitely assume anything you order is half the size of a normal restaurant. I saw someone with a giant chicken fried steak though, so not everything is small. I don't know what it is with casinos in general, but they have the best hot chocolate. Lucky 7 doesn't disappoint. Pricing was quite high, especially for the portion sizes. But the drinks are a $1 each, so they have that going for them. Service was really hit or miss with the restaurant. Some of the staff were great, others were kind but totally awol most of the time. Took 27 mintues for them to bring us our waters one meal. All of them were pleasant. One waitress that was wearing mushroom earrings was really on it, wish the rest were on it like she was. Electric car chargers: The electric chargers are purposely set for a reduced rate between 12 and 16kwh and they charge $2 an hour after 2am. They are purposely making you charge overnight and then gouging you for it. Overall it was a great experience and we will definitely be back! read more

Easy access when cruising the coast! The staff was friendly. The rooms were spacious and clean; beds were very comfortable. Indoor pool/hot tub were nice; they do adults only 10pm-12am, which we really appreciate. I didn't love that they don't allow you to enter the side doors, even with a key, but it's understandable. Casino is decent size with a gaming/bar food lounge and a restaurant which we had a good dinner in- just go with a burger... it's a win (but we did loose on the slots, ha!). Something I found just silly is that they over a $7.77 taco Tuesday special BUT only between 2-4pm... ummm??? Ocean is a across the street (VERY pretty rocks & waves if you venture out to see them)- I'm sure the view from the front patio rooms is nice (we were on the backside without a patio/view. I came in to meet a friend for dinner. She wanted to go here, but I was afraid I wouldn't find anything I could eat, for I am on a a rather restrictive diet. No sauces, only olive oil, avocado oil, or coconut oils. No seasoning mixes, just salt, pepper, garlic, etc. I had a perfectly prepared New York steak with grilled veggies. I stayed here for 6 nights. The receptionists were friendly. The room was decent, lots of little condiments that the hotel provided. They have vending machines that only takes cash. The room has a nice size fridge with a freezer. If you want to warm up any food you need to do so at the lobby as the room doesn't have a microwave. You do however have a coffee machine in your room. The bed mattress was a bit too firm for my liking. If you're hungry the closest city would be Brookings. It is 15 minutes away from the hotel & they have some decent restaurants. I would highly recommend trying Zola's on the water if you're into pizza or Compass Cafe if you want coffee & breakfast. The only downside to my stay here was the casino which is the reason for the 3 star. I had went to the sports bar & the lady who attended me was very rude towards me. When I asked for a menu she through it across the table. Even when asking for recommendations on drinks her response was " I don't drink". Then when I asked her about what other people order she said "didn't I tell you I don't drink?" Like wow. I worked in customer service & I would never treat any customer the way I was treated & even if I didn't know something I would make an effort in knowing what they might like. read more

Stayed the night room was clean building has lost appeal in the last year. Building smells damp and musty . We were in a 2ed floor room people above were stomping on floor from midnight to 3am . Trash on elevator floor from check in at 3 pm and still there at 6 am . Ordered wife Ceasar salad with grilled chicken from the restaurant . Little to no chicken for additional $5 salad was unappealing but they did put in about 30 croutons for the $17 tab, 3 x as many croutons as chicken. Would we stay again . No . Forgot to mention wi-fi died at 3am and at 6am they still had not reset the router . We accidentally left two personal pillows they were kind enough to call and let us know, however we're rude about resolving that situation. read more

I enjoyed a 2 night stay at Lucky 7 Casino and Hotel last week. The grounds appear to be very clean and safe. Parking is well lit and the customer service at check in was friendly and professional. The ambience of the hotel lobby has a woodsy feel and there is a heated indoor pool. There is only one elevator and it's a little slow and clunky but I never had to wait long. The rooms are large and spacious and very clean. We have stayed at multiple hotels in the area and this place was superior even with similar prices. Beds were clean and comfy the TV was probably 50" and the bathroom was wonderful and has a huge shower. Overall I would give the hotel 5 stars. The casino is small and has limited tables all of which are for blackjack. Although only 2 tables were open during my stay I never had to wait for a seat. This isn't Vegas so go in knowing that. The dealers didn't seem to friendly at first but after playing for several hours and tipping them when appropriate they warmed up and made the experience more fun. I think they were having fun too. Blackjack was 6 deck and paid 3:2 for a blackjack which is great but you only get double down on your first two cards so when you split there isn't a double down option which is odd. Slots were kinda meh. We mostly lost but my wife ended the night with a $600 jackpot. They didn't have many newer games or the fun licenses games like Willy Wonka but they have all the oldies. Overall i give the casino a 4.5 stars and the resort as a whole warrants 5 stars. read more

Every time I come up north I usually stay in Crescent City. This time I decided to stay at the Casino for a change to try it out. I don't regret my decision one bit. The rooms were so spacious and clean. The beds were very comfortable to sleep on. The rooms were very modernized and not out dated at all. We had a flat screen TV and a mini refrigerator in the room. And the bathroom was just gorgeous! For us girls they have the makeup mirrors we always need and have to carry with us. The best part of my stay was that our room was right across from the pool. The kids loved the pool because they had it all to themselves. For those that need to have their workout they have a gym as well. Besides the room we did have dinner there and the food was great. The staff was very friendly. I have to recommend the fish and chips! The fish was so fresh and delicious I couldn't stop talking about it. Unfortunately it was so good I didn't share lol... And well the casino was a layed back place. You see mostly locals there. They have a full bar and a great variety of slot machines. The rooms are spacious and we'll appointed, and included such amenities as robes, nice toiletries and a lighted makeup mirror. We had TWO televisions in the room, roughly 12 feet apart. And the shower is glorious. We had dinner in the restaurant. I recognize that Tuesday night probably isn't their busy night, but the food was decent. We had two pot roast dinners, complete with salad bar and soup, for $10 per person. That's fast food prices!! A glass of Cabernet was a mere $5.50. If you want a good nice accommodations at a fair price, this place is it. read more

The $25 fettuccine with prawns was horrible. The fettuccine sauce was obviously a from a can, the fettuccine noodles were over cooked and matted. The scrimp were edible but obviously previously frozen. The only thing worse than the meal were the many, (more than 10) flies that descended from the windows to buzz, land on the table, and kept the diner constantly batting them away from the food. I asked the server if they had a fly's water but was advised that they were not allowed to have one, this was obvious! After the meal I asked to speak with the restaurant manager to voice my concerns about the lack of sanitary conditions. As I waited for the manager I observed the restaurant salad bar. The flies were actively landing on the various salad components as well as on the salad dressings. The manager arrived, was advised of the situation, was totally out of his limited element as to a quick rectification of the situation. All in all I would recommend this establishment for eating unless you are the Geico Gekko. read more

This is the worst place that I've stayed in, DO NOT stay here! When we checked in, the lady looked at my license and said "oh, Washington! Where is that?" That should have been my clue to leave. We decided to eat at the restaurant- DON'T!!!!! We were seated and then ignored for 20 minutes before we even got drinks. They had a few waitresses but only a few tables so I don't understand all of the excuses. The food was mediocre at best and you will never get a drink refill. After that we decided to get into the pool, their website says it's heated, well if ice cubes are hot then I guess it is. The hot tub was out of service, that's what we look forward to after long drives and hikes. We get back to the room and we have 1 bath towel. They aren't offering any cleaning services so anything you need (we're not talking extras, just the basic things that should be supplied) you have to go downstairs and wait in line for 20 minutes to get. Don't bother calling the front desk, they won't answer. Someone was smoking in the elevator of the "smoke free" hotel. The WiFi doesn't work at all and you will not have phone service here. The next night we tried out the casino, absolutely disgusting. The non-smoking section looks, feels, and smells like the smoking section, the bathrooms are disgusting. The only positives- decent water pressure and the bed is ok. read more

Wow! I went into this casino today for the first time. What a dump. Broken machines, dirty carpets, heavy smoke in the air. Really nasty place. Considering they are mostly taking our money you would think they would make it a bit more pleasant, but you would be wrong in this case. I don't think this place was ever "nice", it is a stinky pit.
