Teresa's approach is loving and trusting but with the right amount of "tough love" that teaches the children how to survive in any water survival situation. My 2 year old most recently was tested in a real life situation when she lost her balance on a pool step and fell backwards in the pool; she instantly almost naturally knew to float on her back with her chin up until she knew she was near the pool wall to grab on. My child would never have learned this skill and most importantly done it under pressure without the teachings of "T.T.". The thing that impressed me the most when I first met Teresa was the fact that this special lady is truly in the business of teaching children to swim because she wants to save lives-and I know for a fact that she is every time she gets in the pool to teach a child! I will forever feel blessed that our paths crossed.

We arrived early and staked our spot in the shade under mangroves. My kids take their kayaks out to explore the mangrove islands and paddle around. It's so protected without currents pulling them out or speeding boats close by, which is such wonderful freedom for them. This is a popular spot on the weekends, and some folks bring out tents and equipment for the whole day. This is a perfect first-time snorkeling spot for beginners, because the water is so shallow. We swam with a sea turtle this time. Even not at high tide, it's still a lovely way to be on saltwater without waves or seaweed. It seems that dogs and fires are welcome.

The boardwalk was closed for repairs so we had to walk thru the sand with our stuff (coolers etc). Part of the beach was on a small like hill, you had to jump down to get towards the water which was annoying. The beach was filled with seaweed. I did like there was a lifeguard on duty. It wasn't crowded for a Sunday. Probably won't be back to this one.

If you book it they will charge you $5 and not actually book you the Tee Time that you reserved. When you ask for the money back for the reservation they say, "nope sorry it's not our fault". How could it not be their fault? On their website it says "book a reservation"... when you click the button it gives you tee times to reserve... what a complete joke. I won't be back.

Wow! There is a brand new playground here, and it doesn't disappoint. With tall and unique climbing…read morestructures, my kids had a blast. I had to drag them away, and we've returned multiple times due to its popularity! This is still a fenced in playground, surrounded by shady trees (though mostly sunny above the playground itself), with benches for parents to sit on. Sometimes I sit at a concrete picnic table just outside of the fence to work. Sitting there, it was fairly easy to see my kids at all times (unlike the previous equipment). Still love the walk around the pond. Recently, we explored the little island in the middle across the walking bridge (which could use an upgrade itself). Kids were fishing off the bridge and from the platform on the island. The water doesn't always look healthy but there are a lot of ducks.
