I really enjoyed this place. I was craving tacos and decided to check this out on a Friday for lunch. We showed up around 12:15 and had to wait about 10 minutes to be seated which is expected. We ordered the shrimp and octopus ceviche plus a side of salsa. They brought out two house sauces, one which was super spicy. The ceviche needed a little doctoring up with the hot sauce and salsa but was tasty. I found the shrimp pieces a little larger than my liking but it was still good. I ordered the swai beer battered taco, the chorizo and potato taco and the house al pastor. All of these were fantastic, filling and satisfying. They make their tortillas in house and made to order. The kitchen & our server Rachel (she was awesome!) were super nice in accommodating a food allergy; they took it very seriously and compensated parts the meal to make it work for us. I finally interrupted her to ask if we could just find a seat on the patio and she said "that's fine, I don't care." Went here with three others for happy hour and dinner on a Saturday. We were one of the only tables at around 430 but by the time we left the place was packed. They have a decent happy hour. Their adult sodas are $1 off but they are still about $7 a piece and they have $6 strawberry margaritas. We order the half pound of rock shrimp which was incredibly fresh and tasted delicious. If I remember correctly it was about $11 on happy hour. I had three tacos for dinner: el pastor, beef brisket and red snapper. I would definitely get the el pastoe and brisket tacos again. They had a good mix of traditional and unexpected toppings and it all was fresh. The red snapper taco was just alright. It didn't have as much flavor as the others and tasted pretty fishy. I will agree with others that this place is a little pricey. Between the four of us we somehow managed to rack up $170 bill. The fish is fresh and the Tequila selection is awesome! But I'm from San Diego and this is not truly representative of So-Cal mexican food I'm use to. Delicious tacos, soup, guac, drinks, and burritos! We tried the carne asada and brisket tacos. The carne asada was so scrumptious and definitely my favorite. The Build your own Tortilla Soup was more on the creamy as opposed to clear broth style I'm used to but still quite yummy. My bf had the carne asada fries and made it a burrito. OMG, flavor explosion! The guac was tasty - just wish there was more of it! Definitely recommend this place. The staff was friendly and so accommodating. We were in town for a show at Red Rocks and brought our dog with us on our Colorado adventure. We called ahead to see if their patio was open and they said they would turn on their heaters so we could be comfortable outside. We will go back next time we're in Denver for sure! read more

North County is great! Im a very large fan of their adult sodas (especially the drunken burro) - fantastic. The bar manager does a wonderful job concocting these in house! I have had several tacos and all have been good. The best in my opinion are the fish tacos that change daily - most expensive, but well worth the extra buck or two! Friday night special for shrimp - fantastic! Do it, you won't regret it. The two main issues I've had with North County: - 1. that sometimes the drinks are a little slow to come out when you're not sitting at the bar (which is frustrating because getting the drinks I'm talking about making consists of putting ice in a glass with a garnish and grabbing the adult soda bottle (pretty easy) (drink is poured table side) - 2. We ordered up Halibut, Tuna and Salmon. Halibut was my favourite. I think it was cooked over a charcoal grill and just perfect. The tuna was also the bomb.com. A lot of places these days serve up fish tacos (usually something generic like Tilapia), and anywhere fish tacos are just *meh*, but North County really knows what they are doing. The menu here is fairly simple and straight forward. Restaurants don't need to be complicated, just do a good job with what they're serving. Dessert? I have never been to an establishment like this before and was very excited to come and eat and try something new that's round my area. But with this place I would not have my expectations high even for a four star rated restaurant. 1: the service was terrible the lady responded to me and talk to me like I should know what I want let alone what comes with it as if I've been here before. As well she brought two glasses of water but no mug my friend had to request for one after she seen other waiters automatically bring an additional bottle water to the table. Also as she kept rudely talking to me in a belittled manner she seemed like she handed off our table to someone else for what reason I'm not sure. But I do have to say I will not come back very disappointed in the service that's was brought today and it's bad when I needed to hurry up and pay my bill and leave. I usually come here once a week and sit on the bar to have some fish tacos and some tequila the tequila selection is great the bartender's extremely friendly, I will definitely recommend the traditional fish tacos they're simple but delicious. Such a solid restaurant - the best option by far in the Lowry town area. I've gone multiple times and only order the tacos - at $3-$5 per taco it may seem a bit steep compared to your regular taco joint, but these are a bit more artisanal (pretty sure that's not the right word but you get the picture). We saw a waitress coming over with food in her mouth and I greeted her and asked her how she was doing but she just gestured for us to follow her. When I saw that this place said San Diego style Mexican food, I got really excited because I miss the Mexican food from back home. I had my suspicions when I ordered my California burrito, and it had stuff that doesn't normally come on a Cali burrito. But I thought I'd give it a try. For one, they are WAAAAAAAY over priced! I got 2 Cali burritos and carne asada fries and it was $50. Back home that exact order would be $20-30 at every single Mexican food or taco shop place in San Deigo. Two, the burrito was very dry. Three, they forgot some of the ingredients like sour cream in the burrito, and the fried didn't have guacamole on them. All around terrible. Holy cow. I was pleasantly surprise by how much I enjoyed this restaurant. I started at the bar and couldn't decide between 2 drinks however went with the trusted classic margarita. I took my first sip and couldn't believe how great this basic margarita was! Although small, the drink packed a punch and was homemade (as in the margarita mix). After waiting a short time, my partner and I sat at a table and ordered chips and salsa which we tried with their in house made hot sauces. Again I was blown away by the mild sauce which had a tangy aspect to it that I really enjoyed. Finally, we moved on to our tacos- I had 2 and my partner had 3.
