WORST SERVICE EVER! IF THERE WERE ZERO STARS THEY WOULD HAVE IT. Set an appointment for a Sunday morning and was turned away because their computers were down. ( what happened to hand writing a repair order?......for a prepaid oil change of all things.) So the advisor told me he would give me a call later that day if the computers came back up and if not I would here from him Monday. I did not hear from the advisor at all so I called in around 4:45 pm Monday and he set me an appoint for 8 am Saturday. Came in Saturday and had to wait 1 1/2 hour for an oil change ( thats crazy, way too long ). Got home and went to take the family out and found oil leaking from under the car ( a lot ), took it back to the dealer ( so this is the 3rd time in for an OIL CHANGE ) and the advisor told me the tech did not clean his mess from performing the oil change and that he just cleaned it up for me. @ days later I see more oil leaking from under the vehicle, so I got under the car and found big drops forming at the bottum of the engine. So I called the Service Manager ( Greg Meer ) who did not call me back after me leaving 2 voice mails 2 days in a row. So I then called the General Manager ( never got his name ) , who also never called me back after 2 voice mails that I left. After that I decided to take time off work to go in and talk face to face with the General Manager, so after about 45 minutes with no manager ( GM or Service ), I was finally taken to the GM's office to talk him and the service manager. Once seeing the GM I realized he had walked by me about 12 times in his show room without saying a word to me. I told both the GM and the Service manager that I had called both of them multiple times and they acted like they never got the calls, the GM just took off without saying anything to me once I was talking with the Service manager ( he a dick ). The Service manager set me another appointment ( 4th ime in for an oil change ) where I met Ish, who after finding out what I had gone through was nice and actually vaccumed my car out even though they do not have a detail person there on Sundays. Finally there is no oil leaking out of the car now, I still never got a follow up call from the service manger to see if everything went well on his day off and never heard back from the GM. I WILL NOT BE GOING BACK TO DEALERSHIP EVER AGAIN BECAUSE IT SEEMS LIKE NO ONE GIVES A CRAP ABOUT THE CUSTOMER! Coming from an Assistant Service Manager ( at another dealer ), this customer service would have gotten me suspended or fired. read more

Really disappointed in my recent experience with North County Kia. I found a used car on their website and went in with the intention to purchase the vehicle. After speaking to the salesperson for 1.5 hours the sales manager came out and told me that he could not honor the pricing on their website due to error. I was told I would need to talk to the GM in order to get them to honor their listed price, and upon doing so the GM offered me the vehicle at nearly $3700 more than what was listed on their site. While I understand they might have had an error in their system their offer to make right was $200 less than their "corrected price". Essentially an offer they would give to anyone who didn't have such a considerable waste of time. If you are looking to acquire a vehicle be sure to call and verify the price of the vehicle, because there is a chance they won't honor the listed price on their own website. Also, important to note, the used vehicles they list are likely not to be available for purchase as they immediately list their trade ins for a price to immediately flip. After viewing most of their used inventory it was clear they all needed some amount of work which when asked if they would do the basics like replace a cracked windshield or repair a substantially damaged bumper they said that would cause the price to increase. When you as the customer believe you have everything square away but come to find out that your financing isnt even in place. Return the car and run ! As long as the finance isnt in place the contract is void. Am very Grateful that i return the car before financing could go thru because i would have been stuck with an 489 bucks a month car payment. I turn around and bought the car that i wanted from GoAutoCity.com for way less and My monthly payment is only 315 compared to 489 or 600 a month. I have to say this was a lesson learned with big corporate dealership. They sure do not give a Fuck about you as the consumer. All they want is that Green. Not Happy with his dealership for a number of reasons. I was communicating with this dealership about a 2016 Kia Sorento SXL that they had just received on their lot. I had been looking at this type of car for quite sometime and was very interested in this vehicle, However, I live in Las Vegas and this car was located in California. I knew I needed to makes sure the car was up to par and what I wanted sight unseen. I called and spoke with a couple different sales people and finally came to an agreement on price. I was told the car was in excellent/nearly perfect condition (21k miles, no scratches on it) basically new. So I booked a flight from Vegas to San Diego to make the transaction. I was greeted at the airport by a member of the dealership (which was very nice). That was about the last nice thing about this night. We proceeded to the dealership and test drove the car. While test driving I was touching buttons and checking things out to make sure everything worked. I put the sunroof open and tried to close it and it wouldn't close. I was told there might be something stuck in the sunroof and they would get it fixed when we got back to dealership. We got back to the dealership and a technician came out to look at the vehicle and he couldn't figure out what was wrong with the vehicle and took it to the back. In the meantime, I am ushered inside the dealership to have a seat while waiting... Im getting a little frustrated and worried that this car has a serious issue with it. I was told it was in pristine condition and that the transition of purchase would be in and out. Worst part about this is that I was going to drive the car home and surprise my wife with a new car in the driveway. So as I am waiting I go to google and look up this sunroof issue - I find this forum (http://www.kia-forums.com/2016-sorento/235697-sunroof-jam-issues-per-dealer-5.html#post1505554 ) that talks about this issue being a problem in the 2016 Sorento's. After about 30+ minutes of waiting inside with no one talking to me/addressing the issues and house music blaring through the speakers, I head outside to get a breather of fresh air with the feeling that this thing really isn't going to work out and that my surprise will not work how I expected it would. I am met outside by a sales manager who informs me that the sunroof is a mechanical issue and that they could get it fixed back in Vegas at a Kia dealership there, *but they would not give me a warranty if anything happened to the sunroof or it couldn't be fixed*. They were going to cover the cost, but after reading the forum, there was no way I was going to purchase a broken vehicle (at that price non the less) when I was informed the car was in perfect condition. It was complete negligence on the part of the dealership to have me fly all the way out there to just realize the car was broken and not what they said it was...I told them I was not going to purchase the car that night ( it was around 9PM and I would have had a 4 hour drive back to Vegas), but to please keep me posted on the repair process. It was scheduled to get repaired on Monday (Service closed on Sunday). I bought an Uber to my brothers, purchased a flight for the next day, and was headed home empty handed. Thats not even the worse part... I buy my Uber and ticket home (total of around $400) and head home on Sunday. Sunday comes and goes and Monday rolls around. I go on the website to look for the vehicle and see that its offline. I text the sales manager asking what the deal with this car being offline is and he mentioned they took it down Saturday when they thought was was purchasing it... He texts me back 10 minutes later saying the vehicle had actually sold on Sunday.... They SOLD the broken vehicle hours after I left. I was shocked that they would do this as that vehicle was obviously broken and they could have fixed it on Sunday because the service stations closed. I figured they would have at least taken it off their lot until the vehicle was fixed. At that time I am getting very frustrated and angry that they wasted and entire day and $400 of my money to go out and purchase a car that wasn't what they said it was. I ask the sales manager how he is going to make this right... He says he will make it right by finding me another vehicle for purchase... Is that a joke? The dealership that just royally screwed me thinks I am going to now turn around and purchase a vehicle from them? I tell him I want reimbursed for my flight and travel ($400). After a long conversation of back and forth, arguing with me about the situation we leave it at he was going to talk with his GM about the reimbursement. This happened over a week ago... I have texted many times about them making this right to no avail. read more

Would not recommend this dealership or a Kia product. We purchased a brand new 2016 Kia Sorento from this dealership. It was a top of the line model and out the door price was over $40,000. Within the first year the car started having many problems. Since then it has many more problems - such as the sunroof opens by itself while we are driving. The hatchback has opened by itself at night. We have come out of shopping to see the hatchback has opened by itself. Sometimes we can't get the front doors to unlock so we have to get in the back seat and crawl over to get to the front seats. The electronic system is severely messed up. We have called to make an appointment at this dealership since we bought it from them, only to be told to take it to another dealership. BEWARE of Kia products and their lack of service dealership. We will be selling this car as soon as we can but we will get a low price for it since it has some many multiple problems. Never would I buy a Kia anywhere again! read more

I just bought a used 2007 mazda 3 from here in March and ever since driving it off the lot it does a weird shift thing into 4th gear and still does to this day. I've been trying to get in touch with north county kia, to no luck. now my warranty is up and I still haven't been able to get someone to talk to me about this issue. It could be a big deal and now I think I'm going to get screwed and have to buy a new transmission. This just doesn't seem right. I have left multiple messages and every time I call the "service #" I leave a voicemail and I've even tried the "contact us" from their website but no one has called me back. Other than that, it was great working with them to get me into this car... I also had to have it serviced already and had a tranny flush done to see if that would fix the shifting thing - it helped for maybe 2 weeks but it still shifts funny. I was told by north county kia that I would get a partial refund (check) in the mail for this and haven't gotten anything yet. So far, not impressed is an understatement. read more

My wife and I got text from some punk name OMAR today regarding my lease being up soon. This text was sent to my wife's phone asking her if he can help with our lease exchange. She wrote him back letting him know we were interested in a Sorento as we are expecting a child and need something bigger than our current Optima. Omar wrote us back a very passive aggressive, unprofessional response more or less saying we're crazy for asking for what we did. "What makes you think you can get that? That's a $30k car" First of all numb nuts, website said it's $26K, and second, I can tell you are really hurting for some numbers based on your response to my WIFE. If you're reading this, look at ALL the other negative reviews from this dealership and take your business else where. Omar is lucky I didn't call him myself and bite his head off. He took me on a test drive and showed me similar models, but I still couldn't find the one I wanted (I'm a little picky). I left. A few days later, I got a phone call from him about a car that I might like. Since I was working in LA at the time, I asked him to send me photos. I liked it so I asked someone to take a look in person for me since I didn't know the next time I'd be able to come to Escondido. Miguel went above and beyond my expectations of a car salesman. Overall I had a good experience with the sales people at Kia Escondido. After I made my purchase they weren't quite so helpful but I suppose that's to be expected. The four stars does not include Norman who was the financial person I worked with. As one reviewer said, he was funny, friendly and personable. All good qualities to have as a salesperson. It wasn't until I got home that I realized he wasn't completely forthcoming on some of the features, particularly the warranty. It's difficult to know what questions to ask. But I would suggest doing your homework before going over features of your purchase because it's easy to get taken in by any salesman who is funny, friendly and personable. read more

I purchased a 2017 vehicle at this dealer. There customer service is horrible. I needed to return to their service dept for a 2nd set of keys as they didn't have the extra set at the time of purchase. I waited an hour because of programming which was fine, but they didn't check the key and when I tried it the next day it didn't work. Since No County Kia was not local for me the sales woman sent me to more local places to have the key reprogrammed and cut. I traveled 30 minutes, waited 20 minutes, and then was told they weren't able to help me, so they sent me to another dealer and that dealer couldn't make them either. This was frustrating. When I called No County to tell them what happened they avoided me, didn't respond to my texts, and then when I finally got someone on the line who had me on hold for 20 minutes (he forgot I was on phone) he told me he would send me the key. When I called a week later to talk to him as no key was received I found out that he lied about his name, and also lied about the fact that they couldn't send the key because it has to be programmed also. They are so terribly unprofessional. Eventually I called the corporate office and they resolved the issue for me but they also admitted that North County was extremely uncooperative. read more

This dealership has poor business integrity and customer service. I have never experienced such pathetic business etiquette in my life, many promises they will make and not keep. The car salesmen beg you to give them 10/10 reviews when you purchase a car from them and tell you they normally get low scores from customers. I have mistakenly left items behind in a car about 1-2 weeks ago, I left several phone messages for managers who did not return calls. I had to physically go to the dealer and request someone retrieve the belongings I left behind. If you decide not to buy a car you are treated like a second class citizen. Chad was the most disorganized salesman ever in my 20 year history of buying cars. Mike Figin in Finance is very uptight and does not have proper common courtesy skills. We were looking to trade in our 07 Dodge Ram truck and wanted to check out the new Sorentos. This dealer let us take the SUV home for the night, which was really cool of them. They didn't want to give us the price we wanted to pay the first night we were there. The next day we drove the Sorento to Honda and check out the Pilot, which we were told by Kia dealer would be way out of our price range. WRONG! We made a way better deal on the Honda Pilot and it had everything we wanted and more. We returned the Sorento which was also a really nice SUV and we purchase the Honda. During this time I get several calls from several different cell phone numbers and they were all from the personal cell phones of the Kia employees. I finally answer the call and it was the manager of Kia saying he will go down even further from my original asking price. My motto is " You snooze, you lose." If they gave us that deal from the beginning we would be driving a Kia right now. We both wasted our time haggling when we could have just made the deal from day 1. Oh well, I'm happy. read more

I delt with cadillac dealership across the street which is owned by the same person and also worked with the kia sales person trying to "find a solution" just like previous patrons of this dealership i experience Blatant false advertisement and bait and switch . On line they advertised a used KIA optima 2013 ex leather sunroof and moon roof and navigation , for 21k i contacted the dealer right away and set up to purchase all thru email sent all my information had papers drawn up and drove 2 hours from L.A to Escondido after i got out of work to pay for the car (everything was drawn up i was just driving to give them my money) they had the car pulled up front . they open the car for me and it is not the car that was advertise. Vin numbers were the same the stock number was the same but this was an lx which is the base model but was advertised as ex which is top of the line. I have pictures of all this information even the deal that they tried to make me which was 8thousand dollars more . everyone was better apologetic admitted that they had posted the wrong description on the web site. As soon as we made an appointment to see a specific car, they upped the price on the website, we called and they said they would honor the original price just for us but still kind of sketchy that that happened. Made an appointment to see a Tahoe we were interested in and wanted to trade our Edge and pay the rest... they said my 2010 Edge had 2K worth of cosmetic damage due to a grocery parking lot incident that we didn't see and no one left insurance info... the damage was only maybe about $500 said by mechanics we brought it over to. They low balled us for the Edge only offering $5K and wouldn't negotiate even though they said they price match carMax. We took the Edge to carmax later that afternoon and they offered us 8K and we found a more reasonably priced vehicle that was just what my family needed thankfully because I didn't want to give Kia my business after my experience with them. Manager at Kia was condescending and a bit pompous. I knew we were getting the short end of the stick so I left. Hannah was professional and tried to help. Just purchased a Certified Pre-owned Sorento with the help of Annie. We were there on an extremely rainy day AND we were shopping with a 5 month old. Annie, and the entire staff that we encountered, were very accommodating and helpful. Purchasing the vehicle was quick and painless. Negotiating went smoothly and we were able to be in and out within a 2-3 hours tops. I love my new car and I loved my sales experience. One (VERY MINOR) thing I might mention was that the vehicle we purchased only came with one key, which we were not informed of until after the deal had been set. Once again, Jorge Bolanos has proven to be the only car salesman/manager we will ever go to! As stated in our previous review, we have been buying cars from Jorge for 11 years! We just purchased a truck from the Kia used lot with the the expectation that we were going to privately sell our old truck to a family friend. When financing for our friends loan was shot down we started to panic. Kia was depending on us to pay a large sum for our down payment of the new truck which was to come from the sale of our old truck. With no other options, we called Jorge to see if we could trade the old truck in. They took us in with open arms and gave us what we needed to pay off our old truck and fund our down payment.
