He helped us arrive at a suitable energy-efficient Simonton models to replace 5 of our windows at a reasonable price. He also measured all the windows to be replaced and promptly provided a written quote. Three of our replacements were for original 30+ year-old single-hung windows which were no longer functional because their balances had failed. The replacement Simonton windows have a better design that obviates the need for such balances, which was of added value to me! The total window order, measured and made to order, was received by JWG within 3 weeks and installed within 1 week. JWG Windows arrived just minutes before the scheduled time for installation. We were fortunate to have a second installation crew (Alex and Ricky) join the first crew (EJ and Cody) during the installation process, which allowed the entire job to be done within 2.5 hours. These two teams operated smoothly together in good spirits, were respectful of our property (using drop cloths in each work area) and cleaned up the work areas. After they were installed, EJ demonstrated the windows' operating features, provided me with the manufacturer's warranty and answered my questions. We wanted to ensure getting a set of windows changed and he helped do an initial measure and then gave us a run down presentation of our options and the technology behind the windows being replaced ( retrofits). I'm writing this review as the installers from Pelican are removing my old, louvered windows (1 x…read morekitchen, 1 x bathroom, and 4 x loft) and replacing them with Milgard V250 Style Line® Series replacements. First - I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because of the way Pelican handled the scheduling of the install - or rather, bungled. The crew arrived at my home this morning just after 8:00 am with no warning at all. Surprise! It turns out their scheduler sent an email July 18 with notice of intent to install to a fancifully incorrect email address. And, when they received no response from me (and why would they?), no one at Pelican deemed it prudent to follow up with a phone call. Fire and forget? 2 stars. The process to set this up was painless. Their sales/frontman (Isael) paid 2 visits, took careful measurements, explained my options and was a total professional. Not the least bit pushy. 5 stars. OK - on to the install. In a word - slick. The 3-man crew was efficient and from what I can tell (pics attached) did a very nice job removing the old, and installing the new. Again, very professional and respectful of my home, its contents, and my time. No fuss, no muss. The whole process for 6 windows was over and done in 4 hours. Again, 5 stars. The end result - no more drafty louvered windows, replaced with energy efficient, double glazed, argon gas filled windows. I'm pleased with the result, and recommend Pelican as a first stop when shopping for replacement windows.

He knew I was on a tight schedule, so he kept the presentation short and to the point while still thoroughly explaining the company and its products. He explained that Hometime offers a lifetime warranty on both the windows and installation for as long as you own the home. He also brought product samples, which helped me better understand what I was purchasing. Hometime came in lower than all of the other quotes I received. The proposal was professionally prepared and included all of the information Caleb had discussed during our meeting, making it easy to review afterward. Whenever I had questions, Caleb responded within a reasonable timeframe during business hours. Scheduling was simple and straightforward. Their scheduling system sent reminders about my appointment and clearly communicated what to expect. The turnaround time from order to installation was approximately six weeks. On installation day, a crew of three arrived. They all introduced themselves and were very respectful. I joked that they would have some "watchers"--my three kids--who had plenty of questions throughout the day. The installers were professional, efficient, and took care to protect our floors and respect our home. They thoroughly cleaned up after the job was completed. We did have one hiccup during the process. One of the windows was manufactured incorrectly. However, Hometime handled the issue well and was able to get me back on the schedule as soon as I was available a couple of weeks later. Jesse and his partner came out for the replacement installation. Just like the original crew, they introduced themselves, were respectful of our home, and worked quickly and efficiently to complete the job. While manufacturing issues can happen, I appreciated how smoothly Hometime addressed the problem and followed through to make it right. The windows look fantastic.
