Fairly professional in how they return calls and conduct business initially on the phone…read more Concern is that they don't bill insurance which isn't their fault because of our health system, but then they don't allow an initial short consultation so that you understand the process and to see whether it's a fit. You go in and you're charged $175. Fear-based and one-sided (consumer takes the brunt of the risk) is always a red-flag for me. Health care like any other personal service is a relationship and requires trust on both ends. A half hour consultation built into a schedule can create trust and understanding as it is a two-way street. This way, it is all on the patient. When I asked whether I could come in a get to know everyone and speak briefly with the NP (whose name was never mentioned), I was told that "he can't work all day for free". Short-sightedness says that this is a fear-based situation not thinking of this as a relationship, especially since we were looking for a family provider. I have grown increasingly frustrated with "natural healthcare" with providers who aren't doctors but also with physicians as well. There is a huge gap in healthcare and wellness needs that hopefully will be filled by the right people (I know they're out there). Same goes for therapy (which could/should be considered medical). Also, this isn't a doctor but an NP so this is something to consider. I love his and his staff's professionalism and approach and I wish they'd been accommodating. I appreciate people who are so passionate about health that they listen to their patients and consider their opinions. I hope that they take my feedback and concerns into consideration and maybe some day sooner than later, our society can create a better way toward health, one that works for everyone and isn't such a major financial burden on everyone.

Botox is known to last longer and is more reputable. Since this was my first time ever I didn't want to go for something thats new. When I got there they said Botox the whole time in my consultation and then I got the receipt and it said dysport and I found out that's what I got. I called them and they did not offer any solutions they just said "oops" and then tried to convince me dysport is better AGAIN. They gave no solution even though they admitted to miscommunication in the office. I was scared to even get Botox and now I just feel super misled. I talked to a few other offices about it and they said they dislike dysport so much they discontinued it...

It truly is like working with a family. They all deeply care about their patients and clients. I would highly recommend them for any counseling, therapy, or wellness needs. They also have a beautiful new office with a wellness studio upstairs for yoga classes and a massage room.

So many disappointments with Aloha Behavioral Consultants: -…read morewhen you call, during business hours, to schedule or discuss anything, frequently the phone just rings and rings, eventually goes to voicemail, then encourages you to leave a voicemail that they never respond to-ever. They have not responded to even one of my voicemails over the span of the year I went there. If you want to contact them, you have to keep calling every few hours. It would take me days to get anything scheduled. - they offer services that they do not follow through with other than all the appointments necessary to be approved- then, even though that form of treatment is fully covered by my insurance at any other mental health or counseling center-they need documentation from your previous mental health clinic on billing so they can try to understand how to bill for it. There was a necessary treatment I was approved for and desperately needed (and they were fully aware of how bad I was getting mentally and emotionally) yet every time I called to see if the issue had been resolved, I was told it would be another week or so, or they were waiting to "hear back" from somewhere. The billing documentation from my previous mental health provider was emailed to the address Aloha provided several times over the span of two months before Aloha "received it". The last place I went to emailed it the same day I requested it be sent-every time Aloha told me they hadn't received it. - basically they had me "hurry up and wait" for an entire year on something that should not have taken more than a day or two to resolve being fully aware of how rapidly and how badly my mental health continued to decline. As of today, they still have not provided the treatments they offered and I clearly needed. They claim to be mental health advocates and not only did they do absolutely nothing to help me, the hopeless frustration I developed over the span of the year I stayed there contributed significantly to my mental and emotional health declining further. Completely unacceptable. They do not care about how their clients are doing but they are all about making sure they get paid straightaway for services (including all the unnecessary appointments to be approved for treatment that I had already been approved for previously and my insurance covered fully). I have been in treatment consistently since my diagnosis at 13 years old (I am now 52) and throughout that span of time I can say that Aloha is the worst mental health treatment center I have ever scheduled with.

I never even picked them up from the pharmacy. He absolutely had zero listening skills, refused to look at history, refused to consider anything I reported. I left that office and drove directly to the ER. In and out in one hour with appropriate medications. Totally unnecessary to waste ER time, space, but at least the Dr was competent.
