From the beginning, his demeanor came across as dismissive and condescending. I explained that I had just moved back to Ogden after being away for over 10 years and wanted to see how the facility had changed since the remodel before deciding whether to join. I haven't been a member since high school .....I am now a college graduate with a masters that should tell you how old I am now trying out this gym over a decade later. Instead of being welcoming or helpful, I was told I was "cheating the system" for using a one-day trial at another VASA location a month earlier for a gym I was deciding between LAYTON VASA OR OGDEN VASA !!!!. I found this accusation extremely unprofessional--especially since I was upfront about my intentions, showed the valid trial pass, and was simply trying to see if the gym would be a good fit. The website and trial confirmation text included no mention of restrictions for former members or using a free trial pass to try out a different location when you're not a member of VASA . To make matters worse, the interaction became unnecessarily confrontational, and no alternative option (such as purchasing a day pass) was offered. This entire situation could have been handled respectfully and professionally, but it was not. If it's like this for using a free trial pass for a day, I can only imagine what it's like being a fully committed member and trying to cancel your pass! Good luck !

We had Hot Springs replace our pool liner last year due to a tree falling into the pool in a windstorm. Since I wanted everything new I purchased new fittings and trim pieces to go with the new liner not realizing they were included with the liner. No big deal. I'll just return them. Except their technicians took my parts when they left. By the time I sorted it out I was beyond my return window. To top it off the new liner leaked losing an inch of water per day. It took them a month and a half to finally seal the leak while they constantly kept trying to blame my light niche for the leak, which cost me another $80 needlessly on an underwater sealant. On top of that they failed to properly seat the edge of the liner into the rails and the liner pulled out after being filled. It took hours to stretch the liner back into place. The install technician told me they would credit me back for my extra expenses and hassle. But when I went in to settle up....no credits at all. Refused to reimburse for the $80 sealant. Refused to credit for the parts they took and were now in their inventory to use and beyond my return window. Refused to credit for the water loss. Instead they returned the parts to me which I have zero use for until I replace my liner again and still wouldn't need because they come with the liner. I've literally spent thousands at this business as well as trying to promote them because I believe in supporting small business and they don't seem to care. If that's how you treat loyal customers then you don't deserve loyal customers. I'll take my business where it's appreciated.
