Ended up getting the eggs Benedict where I had one of the California and one of the Crab Cake variations. Both were pretty tasty though I wasn't too fond of the hash browns. They weren't bad, just different - very flat and a bit hard for my taste. Went here for breakfast with some girlfriends. The inside is modern, clean, bright. We were able to get seated right away around 9:30a on a Sunday for 4. I ordered the Chicken and Waffles with the gravy on the side. There was sooo much chicken I only ate half, perfectly fried and delicious The waffle was also really good! My girls ordered the breakfast sandwich and breakfast chow mein. All of them said it was good as well and they'd come back. I'd recommend this place for all the variety and delicious food. First time dining at this Breakfast Club location as I've only been to their Lafayette branch. It was a nice day so we decided to sit in their outdoor dining patio with plenty of shade. Their menu was quite extensive with so many good choices. With the big selection of items, I debated between their homemade hash and a traditional morning breakfast...ultimately went with the two eggs over easy, pork sausage links, hash browns, and coffee cake. I visited The Breakfast Club in Walnut Creek on May 2 around 9:30 AM. It was busy, but the wait wasn't long. The person I was meeting arrived about 30 minutes late, and the staff was very accommodating and made sure I was taken care of while I waited. The customer service was excellent. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and professional despite how busy the restaurant was. The restaurant is on the smaller side, but once seated it was comfortable. They also offer outdoor seating. I ordered orange juice along with French toast, eggs, spinach, cheese, and bacon. My daughter had hot chocolate and a kids meal that came with a cute Oreo cookie. My stepdaughter ordered the raspberry stuffed French toast and a strawberry mimosa and appeared to enjoy her meal. The presentation of the food and drinks was beautiful. Everything looked great when it arrived at the table. Unfortunately, the food itself just wasn't for me. The hash browns tasted more like fried mashed potatoes, and overall the meal looked much better than it tasted. As someone who enjoys good food, I was disappointed because the flavors didn't match my expectations. The service was the highlight of the visit and is the reason for the rating. Terrific table service- friendly, stopping by often to check, food arrived at the same time. A bit loud with graduation celebrations, but it was OK. Music from the 80s wasn't so loud we couldn't hear each other. I went with the Cobb, while the others had chilaquiles, different style hollandaise eggs and avocado toast. All portions were generous and satisfying. My Cobb came with tasty grilled chicken, some sort of rub, and the usual suspects. I was satisfied. While we were there an older patron tripped over the small carpet at the entrance and fell. She seemed to be OK, and sat outside. Later a child tripped in the same area, but he caught himself. Service could use some help here. Had one coffee refill offered when we were 3/4 done eating. This was also the only time our server stopped by to ask how food was after it was initially dropped. I ordered the steak medium and the kitchen somehow cooked half of my steak well and the other half rare. I assume it's bc the steak was cut it uneven. Would've loved to fix this problem had someone touched the table a few minutes after we were served but no one came. Given it's a $31 brunch plate, I was disappointed. Flavor, however, was great. We came on a busy Saturday morning and miraculously were seated right away. The decor is very cool, sort of modern farmhouse style. Service at the table was very fast/friendly. The food was all good with only one minor exception. Our favorite was the short rib hash. The avocado toast was beautiful and my wife enjoyed it. The s'more pancakes were insane and amazing-everyone had a bite. The only drawback was with the Korean Spicy fried chicken/fried rice. It was good overall, but there was sweet chili sauce all over everything. It overpowered the flavors of the chicken, eggs and rice. It comes with more on the side, so it would be good to allow the customer to add it (or not) as they'd like. There are so many breakfast/brunch spots in Walnut Creek to choose from! Breakfast Club is one of those solid, good ones that consistently has good food and decent customer service. My go-to order is always the crab cake benedicts. The crab cake is always perfectly seasoned and has a good amount of crab. The egg is always perfectly poached! I've been to a couple of local places that have actually served me an egg with no runny yoke. The crepes, waffles and other sweet dishes I've had have also been pretty delicious! From liquid breakfasts (drinks) to omelets, skillets & scrambles...oh my! There's a nice variety of breakfasts. In the mood for a burger, sandwich or a salad - they have those too. I saw a couple order burgers and wow! They looked delicious. So I ordered my food. (Ribeye steak and eggs) it comes with hash browns (got the herbed style) and choice of bread (you can even get a coffee cake) I thought the herbed potatoes would have been chunks of potatoes with onions and herbs, but it came out looking like hash browns. It was good, but I was expecting it made differently. The food portions are huge, so come with a hearty appetite or save the rest for later on. I will be coming back to try their burgers. I've only done DoorDash from this restaurant so this review is solely for the food. The food was extraordinary. Occasionally, when we don't feel like cooking my husband and I DoorDash breakfast. First my husband got gluten-free blueberry pancake pancakes. Normally I have no interest in pancakes. They're just piles of sugar and carbs, but these were so good, I could not stop eating them! They may be the best pancakes I ever had. Which is amazing given they were gluten-free. The next time we DoorDashed, the Chilaquiles. I'm glad we shared it because the portion was huge. It was also amazing. They made their own tortilla chips, which makes such a difference, and it had a big chunk of slow cooked short rib, egg, green chili sauce, and a generous portion of toppings like guacamole, jalapeño and sour cream. On the side was refried beans with cheese and some delicious fried potatoes, I should've taken a picture. It was a little pricey, but definitely enough for two unless you have a really big appetite. I'm writing this review because I don't understand why the reviews are not better for this place. The food is so good! I ordered the Midtown Scramble ($20) & should be able to survive on this meal for the entire day, if not into the week. I only became aware of The Breakfast Club recently. Apparently this is a chain or franchise restaurant. And the first one I visited was this one in Walnut Creek with some co-workers. We came on a busy Friday lunchtime, and we were lucky to find one of their patio seating where we were able to squeeze in. Service was okay, but could be better. It took a couple of reminders to get our glasses of water. Once our food was ordered, it didn't take long for the food to arrive. Everything was plated very nicely and in good portions despite the prices are a bit higher than what I would like to given the quality and category of restaurant. Food taste and quality are standard. I would suppose that there's a standard of quality from one location to another. There was just a little wait on a Sunday morning, and the young man at the front was hustling being the only host. We were given a nice table indoors as it was very hot outside. We enjoyed our meal, the portions are very large. I had the California French Toast which is smothered in fresh fruit, and comes with a little creme anglais sauce under the berries, whipped cream, and maple syrup. It's very sweet and large enough for two to share or a portion to take home. That's one of the decisions you have to make when you eat here, sweet or savory? When we finally placed our order my friend got her food. I waited until half her meal was done until I got my corned beef hash. What a fun place to go to for brunch! It's very popular so be ready to wait outside in the cold for 30 minutes which we did. Once we got inside, though it was awesome. The food was such generous portions and delicious. We got a lot of different things, including the salmon, burger, the coffee cake, the chiquales, and the hash. This was our first time trying the breakfast club, the wait was about 15 mins which was not bad for a busy Sunday. Once we were set our waiter did stop by with water and advised she would be back for our drinks order which took about 10-15 mins as it seems she had a lot of tables and was back and forth. Once our drinks orders were in we waited a pretty long time for drinks while tables around us got their drinks, we only ordered 2 shots and a mimosa which I don't think shouldn't have take that long. Once the shots were dropped off my glass was dirty with a lipstick stain. The guy at the front came over and returned it for me. Now on to the food, it was really good and hot.
