Rude people that towed my car, especially the woman at the front desk that would not allow me to enter my car. With my registration in the car and my handicap placard on the mirror, she would not allow access to retrieve my items. It's funny how when people's vehicles are towed for unregistered, no license, DUI or accidents, (but most are not accidents!). it's always the tow company that is the problem; unjust, rude people, condescending, yelling, ripping-off, etc. Has nothing to do with them breaking the law and putting other people's lives in danger. For a fact most all tow companies do not accept checks or credit cards due to the fact that this type of person who's vehicle is unregistered, uninsured or unlicensed will either "bounce" the check or stop the credit card charge after they leave. And rates are regulated by the State for any company that tows for municipalities; it's not "ripping off" as stated in a review. Check out the rates on the DPU website. Also, if there is a fatality involved it is not the company holding the vehicle it is either the local police or MA State Police holding it and we have had vehicles here up to 4 months waiting on the MA State Police release. Registered owners or Power of Attorneys are the only ones allowed to the vehicle with police permission; not best friends, girl/boyfriends, cousins or even family members, etc. It's called liability and it is not your property! We have all the empathy you can possibly imagine in a fatality, we don't want a deceased person's vehicle knowing the hurt it will cause their family. But it's our job under contract with each municipality and we attend to each family member with kindness. Your mad because you finally have to pay for your illegal mistake or take it out on the next person for someone hitting your vehicle! Why not take your aggression out on the police at the scene for stopping you or having the vehicle towed that's blocking the roadway? You don't because you don't have them; you know you will be arrested, so the next best thing is the tow company. Be a grown up, take the responsibility instead of putting it on the tow company! Every company in this world has rules/regulations, contracts to follow, your no different, loose the entitlement. read more

STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!! Ok, I don't know how to describe this business.... sneaky, unprofessional and unethical..... here is my story.... I had my car towed in to be fixed on rear end collision... all was well with the insurance appraisal et all... I got a call that my car was fixed... the next day I went to pick it up and I saw that there was another heavy scratch on the driver's side that was painted on by them and without fixing it..... just painting on it.. - see pictures... they didn't say anything and would I have not noticed and drive away they could challenge it.... well, they ended up fixing it, but taking my car in to be fixed and damaging another section and sneakily trying to cover with just paint and pass it on back to me.... is unacceptable...... STAY AWAY!!!!! STAY AWAY!!!!! STAY AWAY!!!!! Oh yes, and the front desk don't even know what customer service is... some training or new personnel might be appropriate.... this business, if you can call that..::blows my mind read more

Went there years ago. There was no reviews online back then. My 3 year old car was hit on the highway by a truck. Had the car back 7 times. The drivers side door window and locks wouldn't work 30% of the time. There were times that I couldn't get my window down (electric) and sometimes I would have to get out on the passenger side. I brought my car to the dealership in Boston and they knew what had to be fixed, but my Commerce Insurance adjuster would not allow the dealership to fix it. The manager of the body center at the dealership said that this was a safety hazard. Commerce is also to blame. Insurance companies are here to make money. I posted this a while ago, but it was taken down by someone. All of the one & two star reviews are reflective of this so called body shop. Please, never go here! read more

I work in a clinical lab, I have to go to work especially now. My dealership couldn't help me with my car window that wouldn't close which is parked overnight at work I had to get it fixed. Not knowing much about what work goes into fixing a broken window or cost I went to north reading auto on a recommendation. I called and stopped by this repair shop for an estimate. Phone girl was defensive and dismissed all my concerns. When I arrived at their office the phone girl and older woman were uninterested in my concerns and comfrontarive. Worst experience Ive ever had at a front desk. Estimate seemed way overpriced. I know there guys are the Honda Gallery's body shop but that dosent mean they have to treat their walk ins this way. From the reviewe their work seems good, customer service gets a zero. I had the misfortune of a brake failure in my Volvo a few years ago and the police had it towed here. Let me just say that the woman at the front desk was the rudest, most miserable person I've ever done business with. How in Hell does she STILL work there?? When AAA came to get my car, he beeped his horn when he arrived so she could open the gate. She came out SCREAMING! Following us into the yard still screaming about the horn signal, and yelling "GET THE F*** OFF THIS PROPERTY NOOOWWWWWW!" Again, how does she still work here?? Is she bangin' the owner? I dented my car and needed a repair. The estimate given to me from NRAR was higher than the other 2 estimates I got which made me feel this company was totally out of line. I chose a different repair shop but after having my hood smash into my windshield while driving down a busy route 95 I can't help but wonder if the other shop missed a few important parts. I don't know if this place would have done any better but I know they were going to replace more parts and that makes me think they were more thorough. I'm upgrading based on thoroughness. I will have them do the repairs this time and will update after the repairs are done. Update: The repair was done and my car looks great. I have not had any problems with my car. This place is awful. They are the worst. They would never make any accommodations for me to come pick up my car. I am still trying to come pick up my car and they won't accommodate even after I went there once and they were closed. Their hours are inflexible. I work late every night of the week and have asked them to let me pick it up at a different time and they made no effort to help. The person that handles the phone is very rude and defensive. They are terrible. If you'd like to keep this auto-repair successful, tell the person answering the phone to be nicer and learn customer service. read more

I was rear-ended in my brand new car. I called the dealership (Acura of Peabody) for an auto body recommendation. All of their work is done at North Reading Auto Body. My car came out great. It was so easy doing business with them. I highly recommend. The office staff even called Enterprise car rental for my pick up and drop of rental car. Very accommodating. Wonderful experience from start to finish. My car was rear-ended on 95 south and had to be towed to a local company. I've read through the reviews here and I wanted to share my experience. My car was vandalized after someone tried to steal my tires in Providence. This company picked up my car from my local Acura dealership for me (at Acura's recommendation) The would be thieves damaged all four doors, my roof, trim around all four doors as well as smashed out windows. (Never did get the tires) While it took some time to do the work right and work through insurance, My car looks like new inside and out. My car was towed here after an accident and I'm very happy with the services and repairs done. They were very professional and helpful the whole time. Had a really tough time with my insurance company but Paul at the body shop helped every step of the way. Owner was really nice unfortunately the lady at the desk Linda was horrible took them over a month to fix my car then when it was a done they started making threats to auction my car if u did not pay my deductible and come get it then proceeded to say I abandoned my car which is not true at all I told them today I'll come get the car she then says well we aren't cleaning off the snow bring a brush my boyfriend the owner of the vehicle got there and it was buried in three feet of snow the Linda then proceeded to yell at my boyfriend while he was shoveling out the car saying she's not responsible for scratches complaining about lack of communication I answered every call that women had this place is a scam and the women Linda is not worth getting your car fixed here I've been to plenty of other places that have not treated me this way please stay away read more

I brought my car there last week to have some work done on a damaged Honda Pilot. My experience was outstanding from start to finish. The service was super friendly both on the phone and in person. The estimate was spot on and covered without question by insurance company, and most importantly the work was top notch. The car looked brand new inside and out on return. I would never do business here based on the rude, tactless women who I was unfortunate enough to have had interactions with. Wonderful experience from beginning to end. My car was hit while parked and I was referred here from the insurance company. We brought the car in and were given an appointment for the following business day. I dropped the car off and the woman in the office called the rental company for me. She then heard my son and I talking about his making the honor roll and she stopped what she was doing to congratulate him and even gave him a surprise gift! My car was ready when promised and when I picked it up it was beautiful inside and out! Not only was the damage repaired perfectly and the car washed, but they even cleaned the inside. Friendly, fast service - had some pretty extensive body damage due from a car accident (wasn't my fault so insurance paid for it - can't speak as to their pricing) and North Reading Auto had my car completely fixed in less than a week and a half.
