My check engine light appeared after the repair. I went to Auto Zone to have them diagnosis the issue. It was exactly what was E valve repaired. So Manny, tells me to don't over fuel and "Reset" my check engine light. Whew! a month later same issue. again, he resets my check engine light. 3rd time I consented to a smoke test, They determined it was a 02 censor!!!!!!! And I decided I would have the repair done later. Now my car isn't starting after fueling. So I take it to have 02 censor replaced. Same issue my vehicle will not immediately start. I take at least 3 keys turns. Mind you I have AAA, and I was suppose to get 10% off PARTS & Labor. Manny only discounted the labor. I went back and brought this to his attention with the printed information AAA has online & the issue with my car not starting. Manny's slick talk, bring on Monday, I will order the part it's under warranty. I also had 4 new tire installed, My tire monitoring system has been activating ever since, and all he done is bring out a device and places against the tire and says its registering. The front passenger TPMS was damaged upon it being removed from the old tire and placed on the new one. Again, he denies this fault. I picked up my vehicle, on a Tuesday, March 10, 2026 and check enging light was off, and it started with easy. I did fuel it to see if I would have any issue with the starting. On Thursday, the same issue presented itself without the check engine light on. THIS SHOP IS NELIGENT... I AM A WOMAN, AND I WAS TAKEN Advantage OF. If you don't have money to lose, DO NOT HAVE YOU VEHICLE REPAIRED AT THIS CROOKED ESTABLISHMENT. THE DECEIT IS normal business practice. subpar parts are used. Because other my connection for doing business for years, I became a "TARGET". Manny would not even give me the 10% discount on parts!!! Awful, dishonest, unethical, lying, crooks. IT ALL ABOUT TAKING MONEY WITHOUT SUBSTANCE. WOMAN PLEASE CONSULT WITH SOMEONE BEFORE YOU TRUST THIS BUSINESS OR MANNY!!!

You can pick out a tire and set up an appointment online. So I picked the tire I was looking for, made an appointment on the website, and almost immediately had a real person email me back confirming the appointment. Nice. I showed up today at the time I requested, they had the tires I had requested in the correct size, and they brought my truck almost immediately in and began work. They completed the tire install and an alignment in just over an hour, which went by quick with my laptop and the wifi at the Dunkin Donuts across the street (they do have a decent waiting room with a TV but I wanted an iced coffee). They called as soon as it was done. To be fair, they were not very busy (this was a Friday morning) but this was an excellent turnaround time. The tires are great, the alignment is perfect and the guys were friendly. There was no up-sell for services I didn't need, except to ask if I wanted the road hazard warranty (which I did, cheap enough considering the cost of premium tires). I honestly can't say how they compared on price to other shops because I wasn't shopping on price; the cost of the tires and the install seemed reasonable and to me the convenience was most important, and they did excellent on that. This is not the kind of place I would do service at (not a knock on them, I just like to do my own, or take it to the dealer for anything complex) but I would definitely return next time I need tires.

This shop I'd say is good when you want change oil service to your car. However at one incident…read morelast Sept 2024, they messed up my KIA Sorento Hybrid (used the wrong oil filter / gasket). After the oil change was done and I left their shop, my car started to lose engine power and noticed engine temperature indicator starting to rise. Fortunately, I was still able to bring it back to their shop. They checked the car and found oil splatter on the engine bay and underneath the car. So they flushed the remaining oil, cleaned the engine with a degreasing agent and (as they say) used only low pressure water. As a courtesy to this incovenience they refunded me the amount I paid and also said the next oil change will also be free. Now months later (February) after the incident, noticed white smoke coming out of the exhaust. And last July, a check engine light came out with code P0471(exhaust pressure sensor error). I now worry of a more serious problem on the car. I checked online and found this summary and explanation of the issue on my car. https://chatgpt.com/share/68c2a434-28c0-8011-a50a-3c7f6ef7ad32 "Bottomline: The engine itself has taken the main hit from the oil starvation and overheating. The EGR and EHRS (exhaust heat recovery system) are collateral damage." Meineke Peabody refused to accept that this is due to their fault saying it has been months already since the low engine oil incident back in Sept 2024 happened. Logically, engine performance degradation or more serious failures may only manifest after months of using the car. They even suggested me to get it checked with KIA and see if my extended warranty will cover it. Which is what I did. And unfortunately, after paying total of $500 for diagnostic checks done separately by 2 different KIA dealerships, the recommendation is to replace the EGR valve and the EHRS which would cost me close to ~$3K. Worse the insurance is not covering it. So, having my faith and trust (still) with the guys at Meineke Peabody, I went back to get their services to do the repair recommended by KIA. Dave (store manager) initially quoted me $900+ for the EGR valve and harness replacement (vs $1600 KIA quote). We talked about the EHRS repair to be done in the future. So we set the schedule, 8/28 (Thurs) I brought them the car back since the EGR parts needed are already available. After a few hours, got a call and they said check engine light is solved and they just put the EGR connector; they charged me ~$280 for that task (and maybe plugging in the engine light code scanner). The next day (Friday), the check engine light came out again. Called Dave and asked me to bring back the car again to them the following week after the 9/1 labor day holiday. 9/5 (last straw of my patience) - back at Meineke, left the car at 1pm and I was told to come back after 4 hrs and the car will be fixed. Got a call from Dave after an hour telling me they can't fix my car's issue and suggested to bring it to KIA and that them do it. I feel like it is not that "they can't", it is that "they DON'T want to fix it at all and avoid further responsibility of the blunder they did from the Sept 2024 oil change incident. Talking about customer service and accountability with after service/back job repairs from this store. Felt ripped off. Won't be coming back again to this shop. And please stop fooling your customers.

I immediately called and let the sales advisor know, and told her I would be back to have it redone. It took me a month or so to get back, and I purchased a new set of tires, so I asked for them to be balanced again. The service writer was very kind and said, sure no problem," I will even ask the technicians to clean the wheel weight stickers of your rims". I thought that was great. Well I went to go pick up my truck this time, and I asked if the techs cleaned the rim, and the adviser assured me they did. I asked to talk to the tech that did it so I can tip him. As we walked into the back, the technician exclaimed. " I don't talk to f$^&& customers." I let that go, and tipped the 2 techs that worked on my car anyway. After I left, I noticed my steering wheel was still off. A day later, I started hearing a noise from my right rear wheel. They had not tightened my lugnuts on the wheel at all, I was able to remove them with my fingers, I also noticed the wheel weight sticking had not been removed as I was told. After a week and a half calling corporate, the district manager reached out to me. Apparently he thought my, and my family's safety was funny, as he basically laughed at me and this situation on the phone. I don't even care about being refunded at this point. I just want to let people know that having your vehicle worked on here can really result in a safety issue, and No-one at ANY level in this company cares what horrible work is going out their doors. Be careful! Update: Well the nightmare never ended. Finished paying the forestone card off and closed the account. Never got a card. Horrible customer service from beginning to end.

My 2019 started leaking oil, and needed an oil change/diagnosis ASAP. Went to Valvoline 12/26/2021…read more(no apt.) and was met with an immensely courteous, friendly staff. Despite being an "in and out" service, I did NOT feel rushed. I explained to them I had a decent oil leak, but being a 2019 should not be due to wear and tear. They started to investigate and checked the seals. Turns out my oil filter that is exposed to the road via undercarriage, had a small hole in it. The rest of the operation/oil change felt like a military operation (prior service Marine); shouted out what tasks were completed to colleague at the terminal recording results of each stage of oil service. Brandon, Alex, Noah, appreciate you all, thank you for being professional, knowledgeable, and patient with finding the hopeful cause of the leak (update: no leaking since oil change!). FYI: I read a few reviews about Valvoline's pricing. Here's the thing. Yes, it's more expensive than other spots. However, most other places you need to make an appointment, and could wait upwards of 30-90 minutes in a lobby/office for car to be serviced/leave for day. Just understand that accessibility is factored into their pricing. I literally went the day after Christmas with no appointment and was in and out in 15 minutes with peace of mind, and could continue on with the rest of my day without having to make an oil change a whole day ordeal. For me, it was worth it. NO ONE asked me to write this review. To be honest, I am happy to write this. The service was fantastic.

Therefore, I'm posting this review on both location's pages. In the summer I went to North Street location for an oil change. While the service was being performed, I gave the employee handling the transaction my debit card. Today I went to the Paradise Road location, where I was told I didn't pay for the previous service, which was news to me. I was handed a cell phone with the manager on the other end. He explained to me that I would need to pay for the last service before they could perform any new service. I told him I handed the North Street employee my card. The manager TOLD me I was lying. But THEN he told me he'd check the CCTC cameras and apologize if he found that I HAD given the card to his employee. He accused me of lying absent of proof - he hadn't even checked!! So, with ZERO evidence, he called me a liar. Furthermore, Valvoline company policy is the garage door is not to be opened until the customer has paid (confirmed by staff today). If the staffer didn't run the card at the time, why did they open the door, signalling I could leave? And, if I wasn't charged, it was only because their emplyee didn't run the card. I'm waiting for the manager's call. Regardless of any apology I may or may not get, I do not appreciate being called a liar without a shred of evidence and no person in a managerial position should be so irresponsible as to make that accusation without being 100% certain they were right. In the meantime, there are many other options for an oil change in Salem and I'm guessing they will be more professional than any managed by this irresponsible individual.
