My truck needed new tires, and I considered a few different places, but Sullivan (Peabody location) is close to me and their website had a great selection of premium brand tires (I was looking for a BFGoodrich All-Terrain). You can pick out a tire and set up an appointment online. So I picked the tire I was looking for, made an appointment on the website, and almost immediately had a real person email me back confirming the appointment. Nice. I showed up today at the time I requested, they had the tires I had requested in the correct size, and they brought my truck almost immediately in and began work. They completed the tire install and an alignment in just over an hour, which went by quick with my laptop and the wifi at the Dunkin Donuts across the street (they do have a decent waiting room with a TV but I wanted an iced coffee). They called as soon as it was done. To be fair, they were not very busy (this was a Friday morning) but this was an excellent turnaround time. The tires are great, the alignment is perfect and the guys were friendly. There was no up-sell for services I didn't need, except to ask if I wanted the road hazard warranty (which I did, cheap enough considering the cost of premium tires). I honestly can't say how they compared on price to other shops because I wasn't shopping on price; the cost of the tires and the install seemed reasonable and to me the convenience was most important, and they did excellent on that. This is not the kind of place I would do service at (not a knock on them, I just like to do my own, or take it to the dealer for anything complex) but I would definitely return next time I need tires. read more

Purchased 4 Continental tires for my Jeep. Told the woman Patty on the phone that I wanted brand new, not something laying around .. She laughed and said all our tires are brand new and current. Got 3 miles back to work to look at my $1,100 tire job. All 4 tires are worn on edges, someone's returned tires not brand new. Never go to Sullivan Tire again. Had 4 brand new nokian tires and new wheels I supplied mounted on my Tesla Model Y. Everything was out of the box- brand new! The shop could not balance the set. I gave the shop a second attempt to balance the setup but they failed. Kevin insisted that there was in issue with my wheels and that he sees it all the time. I went to town fair tire, they checked the roundness of both wheels and tires. Town fair tire discovered one of my wheels was out of balance causing issues. $200 wasted and 2 trips back and forth to pickup my car from this place when their tire machine has issues. Before going to town fair tire I ordered a new set of Nokian tires from Sullivan through their call center and was going to mount the new tires on my stock wheels and tires (as suggested by Kevin). 1 day after placing the order I get a call from Kevin saying not to come in for my appointment I setup with the call center, and that Kevin will call me when the tires come in. Well that never happened, it's been 3 weeks, approaching 4 weeks. I've gotten lots of tire services and inspection stickers done at this location and the Watertown location. I'm taking my business elsewhere now. I would also appreciate a refund since they never got the job right. read more

My wife stopped in last night because her car kept losing air in one of the tires. It was discovered that a nail was embedded in the tire tread. The sales rep. told her it was unrepairable and she needed a new tire. He could have one there the next day for $330.00. She called me and I told her absolutely not. The tires are about 2 years old with @10,000 miles. She stopped by the local Shell station this morning and they repaired the tire while she waited for $35.00. Watch out for these guys. My experience buying tires wasn't good. Scheduled an appointment with Shawn on Saturday so tires would be there. Saturday no tires,rescheduled for Monday. Monday got tires and alignment. Some lug nuts damaged during the work, suggested replacement of those with a different size than orginal. Chose to replace all so not to have odd mix. Wensday had truck detailed elsewhere. Thursday returned because of noise and vibration. Told a ball joint was needed. Something professionals check before an alignment. OK so I let it go. Upon leaving greasy finger prints on wheels and doors were found. Shone to Shawn he first denied seeing them then smeared some with his finger as he spoke to me in a derogatve manner saying it was fixed. As the conversation continued it became obvious I was dealing with an amateur with a condescending aditude so I left. A simple papertowel would have worked. Bringing my vehicle where it is serviced regularly to fix what is needed to correct and finish the job at a betterprice with professional service and confidence everything is fixed the first time. read more

Never had service done here but at one time I needed to have a front wheel bearing removed. I had the front spindle already out of the car and wanted to bring it right over, all they had to do was put it on their press and remove it (3 minutes). I called up and asked how much to have this done....$150.... WHAT?!?! Basically laughed at the guy after explaining exactly what I needed a couple tomes because I was SURE he was misunderstanding me... Nope Went to sears and they charged me $10 per side so $20 total. Have done better at Goodyear. Also Town Fair and Hogan have better deals. Coerced into buying 4 tires, w/refusal to do less, once my vehicle had been towed to Sullivan's. Had 2 flats, I was basically at their mercy. Service was quick, but they performed add'l service they'd neither discussed w/me, nor asked for my permission. I made an appointment to pick up a tire I purchased from them after they could not patch the one I brought in, the appointment was to ensure that they would have time to install the tire. When I got there they said it would take ONE HOUR to put the tire on my vehicle. I was expected to wait an hour in the waiting room with a newborn. I took the tire home and had a family member install the tire in under 5min. Will not be returning or recomending that anyone go here. read more

Had been losing very slowly air in one tire and couldn't obtain appointment at my usual place where I service my car. Called Sullivan tire peabody for appointment. On day of appointment the older gentleman at the customer service desk asked em REPEATEDLY which tire was the problem, and I found it strange that I had to explain multiple times where the tire was. I told him that as soon as the engine starts, the alert screen appears indicating clearly which tire was amiss, as well. He told me that it would be about two hours to fix the tire! So I had to call someone for a ride since it was 90F outside and inside everything was prohibited due to COVID. I had been punctual on the dot for the appointment but by the time my ride showed up 45 min into the appointment, my car had still not been taken in. Another 20 minutes as I just got home, they called me and said that I needed to pick up h th e car since I needed a whole new tire- the tire has been repaired twice and poorly and now couldn't be repaired any more. I was perplexed since I didn't remember THAT particular tire being damaged before, rather I had problems with the tire on the opposite side, but I consented to a new tire and went back to get the car. Two days later I was called to return for the new tire. At the second visit the new tire replacement proceeded swiftly. But for some reason I decided to check the car: to my great surprise the allegedly new tire looks changed and used! Sure enough, I found the new tire installed on the OPPOSITE SIDE!!!!!! I immediately went inside and the same older man at customer service started arguing with me, contradicting me!!!!! It took all of my effort to remain civil. With a sneer if disrespect he tossed his head and riled his eyes saying, fine, we'll switch sides. The car was rolled back inside for the switch and returned to me without comment. I had to go into the garage and look for the mechanic who confirmed that there had been a nail in the tire!!!! They didn't apologize, explain or anything else. I had to purchase I tire I didn't need and was treated with disrespect and contempt. And if that's not enough: during the very first visit the older man at customer service announced that I had to produce a master key to unlock the tire! Apparently my car has special tire locks: when I asked what it looked like and where I would find that he shrugged his shoulders and indicated that it was my problem not his. I asked why they didn't have a master key like that since their main occupation is tires but did not even receive an answer. They said it couldn't be patched and tried to sucker him into replacing all FOUR tires to the tune of $ 600.00 (Mind you, this was AFTER my husband told them the front driver side tire was replaced within the year). I was very happy with this place when I went there to get my car inspected. They were fair and honest and gave me a good price on the two tires I needed. One of my parts for my car they needed to replace was a special order, they had trouble getting the correct one from their supplier and were excellent about communicating with me and accommodating my schedule. I initially called because my wife had tire protection on her tire that had a puncture. They wanted to order a tire just in case it was not repairable, ok fine understandable except this vehicle you cannot replace one tire as it will screw the speed sensors up causing transmission issues etc. Second the counter person is abrasive and rude. I have think skin so I personally don't give two snaps but to attract customers you need to be respectful with tone and cadence. When told that it would be covered they did have the vehicle in quickly and done quick but initially couldn't find the leak then called to tell me that... okay you are "tire experts" correct? After further review there was a screw in the tire. Now this tops the ice cream my wife goes to pick up the car and they try to charge her... there is the dishonesty I don't care if you want to be rude and act like you know everything, but don't insult me by trying to charge my wife after we already talked. My wife said I bought the tires from you and you sold me the tire protection. Find another tire shop because they are going to sell you items you may not need and try to charge you again. read more

Honest people we trust. They knew what the alternatives were, including specialized work I needed on a modified vehicle we own. Another tire place we tried was clueless and couldn't fix the problem we had. The guys at Sullivan's counter and the guys doing the work give a premium product. Prices are really, really good considering they would never stick you with lesser quality parts, or cut corners just to make a buck. Wish others delivered like Sullivan Tire. read more

My wife had a puncture on the top of her back tire. They told her it was too close to the side of the tire (it was a good two inches from the side of the tire) and the tire needed to be replaced. Went to the Sunoco down the street and they patched it right away for $10. Be very wary of what they try to tell you here. read more
