So someone backed into my mom's car and she wanted to bring it back to Woburn Foreign Auto Body, since she brought it there about 5 years ago for an accident where someone smashed her front bumper. But I took it to my body guy instead. He told me whoever did her front bumper did a horrible job and showed me the awful paint job. They were suppose to order new parts for her but they obviously pocketed the insurance money and tried to repair the damaged front bumper. They must've painted over a crack they didn't fix (a new bumper shouldn't have a crack) and you can see/feel the level change. Not a smooth job. Never bringing my car here again. read more

Rude, rude, and, did I mention, rude? BLUF: Take your car to Imperial Auto, they will get it done right, and are polite. These people couldn't care less about getting your business. They made my nanny cry. I had to beg and plead for them to get a quote on the car. While I was working stuff out with them and the insurance company, I decided to take my business elsewhere, and they charged the insurance company $400. I never signed a thing with them, and yet the insurance company paid, and it ended up coming out of my hide. Their staff is awful, and distasteful - swearing up a storm. read more

Had my car for repair, they had my car for about a month and they did a terrible job, called the manager and had my car back to review the repair and he said that wasn't done right, so they took my car for anoth week and when I when for pick u, the manager came to me and saying sorry but even after the car was there for week they job still not done right. He Promise after the holidays he was going to set up a time, so he will paint everything again, but as of today, more than 2 months I haven't received any call. Very bad experience I had. I brought my car in mid-Jun. I was unable to pick-up my car until the end of July. If the damage to my car was significant, I could have bought the extra time being needed. However, in light of what I know - I'm not sure why that time was necessary. No one could tell me why. I wouldn't even have been as upset if not for the shop routinely telling me my car would be ready "by the middle of next week". They did this to me 3x. I did not feel respected or that my vehicle was given any importance. In the middle of a pandemic, I can understand that there might be difficulties getting parts or resources to finish things in a timely manner. However, this was not communicated to me at all. Even when my car was ready, I didn't receive a call from the office. On one of my many routine check-in calls to the office, I was told "Oh yes, you can come pick it up today." (at ~3pm in the afternoon). The whole experience has left me a little bit soured on an autobody shop I've used for prior issues. I don't want to come back. Also, when I got my car back, there was a grease stain on my cloth seat and grease on the door handle. Thanks for cleaning up, guys. read more

It would be better to just junk your car! You'll never get it back anyway. My 4 day job has turned into a 3 week job. This place SUCKS!!!! The management is aweful and there is no quality control structure at this shop. I had to involve my insurance company numerous times to get involved to remedy this aweful situation. They are now intentionally ignoring my car, didn't paint my bumper for 5 days and just left it in the lot. They don't care about you at all every answer is blaming someone else in there shop. still in progress with dealing with them 2/13/08. I dropped my car off 2 weeks ago. I haven't gotten any updates from them, and they're supposed to have great customer service. When I went in, the guy kinda blew off my concerns and told me what they were going to do...i was worried more about mechanical damage more than the looks of the car. Its taking forever to fix the car. granted they had to wait to get a supplement from the insurance for the repairs but come on keep me informed the only update i've gotten is a phone call from my ins saying the supplement is in... no call from the body ship on what addtional damage they found, whether there's any mechanical damage or even when the damn car is going to be fixed...3 calls 2 emails later (today) and still no response from them...very frustrating... update, I got my car back exactly 1 month later, they didn't even look at why my engine was stalling, and went ahead with $700 in repairs I told them weren't a priority, but they didn't fix my bumper... so i have a toothless car. PS the car died, stalled out on the hwy, mechanic ( not WFAB) said i'd have to pay a couple grand to take it apart and find out what's wrong, or pay a couple grand to replace the engine... Horrible communication. Bad customer service. Not friendly. And they had my car for three months, because they take on way too many vehicles, many many more than they can service. They didnt start working on my car for weeks. I wish I had known all the horrible reviews I was about to hear from family and friends before I brought my car there. Rogers or Anchor auto body in woburn are MUCH, MUCH better not only did they communicate daily with progress photos and details, they fully detailed my car inside and out, Woburn Foreign Auto Body does not clean anything. My husband and I bought our new Camry here in January. I have nothing but good things to say about Mo Naim and the sales team. They were super informative, patient and all around great to deal with. I would give them 5 stars on a separate review. Just last week we hit a pot hole and brought it in to the service department to get a new tire. We bought the tire warranty when we purchased the car, but there was no record of this in their computer files. Long story short, we got the new tire one week later and it was covered under warranty. The rigamarole we went through in order to get the tire (which we were originally told was not in stock, but actually was) was a big source of frustration to both of us, including many phone calls that weren't returned and needing to repeat our story from the beginning to each person at every contact point. Most of the employees were very friendly and tried to be helpful: from my observations the poor experience was due to bad management combined with an outdated and inefficient software program. read more

I was referred to this business by the Woburn Toyota Dealership. They were able to quickly prepare a reasonable and accurate estimate. My vehicle was damaged in the passenger rear door with a substantial dent. The repair was done as scheduled and they were responsive throughout the process. When I picked up the vehicle I was blown away. The repair was impeccable and it was impossible to tell where the damage had occurred. It could not have been more flawless of a repair. They also vacuumed and cleaned the inside of the vehicle which was a welcome surprise. I would highly recommend this shop to anyone who needs work. read more

I've used Woburn Foreign Auto Body twice. I have to say the customer service is top notch. I worked with Rhonda both times and she is a superstar. They worked directly with my insurance company so I didn't have to deal with my car being over $3,0000 more in damages than the initial appraisal. Yes, it takes time. I would rather have it done right than someone slap it together. They send you email updates with photos of the progress. when I got the car back, they had detailed it so it looked brand new. I've unfortunately had to use WFAB twice. Once in 2014 when I was rear ended at the mall... and this 2.5 weeks ago rear ended on route 3. Both times my car was less than a year old and I lease. I need amazing work done and they always provide. From the staff (Ronda, Tabitha and Scott) to the work done on your car it's always fantastic. They work seamlessly with my insurance, and other than adjusting to the rental car I've been given, there is no stress once I left my car in their hands. Also, they are dog friendly, so if your car is ready and you have to also get your dog to the vet the same day as pickup... you can bring your dog with you to get your car and go on your way not missing a beat. Now, no offense I hope to not need to see them again, but if I do... I know I'm in great hands. read more

I don't believe that I'm writing a review for an auto body shop. This is a business that I never want to work with, providing a service that I was hoping to never use. Talk about grudge purchase... That being said, the folks at WFAB are wonderful. Rhonda at the front desk IS customer service. You know how the service manager at your car dealer gets mad when you call or annoyed when you ask a question... not Rhonda. She calls you back, spends time on the phone, explains everything, and appears to be happy to work there. And she emailed me back every time, solving any issues or questions that came up. Sure, it took 4 weeks to get my Audi fixed. But I expected that. And the work appears to be flawless. Every day they emailed a photo of the car in progress. Sometimes it was sad (no bumper, a naked engine block, and a missing hood), but a few days later I'd see a paint mask... and then a finished car. Lovely. Even the pick up was enjoyable. The tech that brought me to my (seemingly new looking) car was proud to show it off. At the dealer I'm lucky to get a smile or a handshake. I truly hope to never talk to Rhonda or her team again. But, if I get into another fender bender, I have no doubt who I'll call. read more

** WFAB DOESN'T EVEN DESERVE A STAR ** I took my 2015 BMW 320 Xi to Woburn Foreign Auto Body in Woburn, MA on 10/17. I had minimal damage (some scuffs on the bumper, and a chipped tail light) I was quoted $1400. When I brought it in they said the bumper may need to be replaced because it could have broken clips. Well sure enough they said it needed a new bumper. The final invoice was over $2k. I got my car back on 10/20 and there were issues with the work they did. The body lines weren't the same on both sides (very tight on the passenger side) the corners weren't sanded, buffed, and painted, there were chips in the paint around the back-up sensors, and it was rough feeling under the reflectors (not enough paint and no clear coat at all) I took it back on Monday 10/24 and I got it back last night 10/25 and there's still issues. I have bumps in the paint beneath the reflectors, the body lines are still the same, and the corners weren't sanded, buffed, and painted. My car looks like a Macco job! My car was parked when it was hit by a Uhaul truck backing up. Uhauls insurance is Repwest and payment was already issued to the shop. I wish I had gone straight to BMW to begin with, after all I had nothing to lose, but I was referred by a friend who had his BMW side swiped and he spoke highly of WFAB. I should also mention that both times no one from WFAB went outside with me to inspect my car, show me what they had done to fix the car. My car was backed into a space up against the brick building so I couldn't even see the work until I got home. I contacted my insurance company because they may be able to get involved. Woburn Foreign Auto Body did a shitty job, not ONCE, but TWICE! I'm not going back there and I may contact the attorney general. I went a total of 7 days without my car and it's still not fixed properly. I will NEVER refer anyone to this place. Bob Winters has shitty people in his shop, and they do a hack job! I have a 2015 car.Sent over my car in Feb and got it fixed. Now it's summer time and I found my AC is not working. I went to my car's dealership and he told me that some parts of AC were taken away during my last repairment. Considering this is the only repairment for my car. I'm pretty sure the guys in Woburn Foreign Auto Body forgot to put the parts back or they just took it on purpose. I will never go back there since they clearly suck at their job. read more

Just had my car fixed at Woburn Foreign Auto Body and they did a fantastic job! Really great customer service and attention to detail. I got email updates daily with pictures of the progress on my car, so I knew exactly what was happening. When i got my car back, it looked brand new. Really fast service too, it took less than 2 weeks to fully repair the front of my car. As a bonus, they give you lots of fun free things when you pick up your car! Woburn Foreign Auto Body did a lovely job repairing and restoring the body work on a much beloved old car. I also went for the detail clean. The car is sixteen years old but when I went to collect it looked like it had just rolled out of the showroom. They even fixed a stuck seat that I had not mentioned as a problem. Their staff try very hard to keep you abreast of work in progress with multiple photos and daily email reports. They also resolved various issues with phone calls and emails. I read the bad reviews but honestly you have to stay involved with the progress, If you have rental car insurance then they take their time. I once had a body shop (Town Auto) do extensive repairs in four days. Woburn Foreign AB fixed my car in two weeks when I thought I had a free rental. Turned out the insurance co decided without informing me that I had to partially pay for the rental which I fought (and eventually won). If I need a car fixed I always ask how long it will take and let them know if I have alternative transportation. Last week I stopped by Woburn FAB and the guys out back fixed a hood ornament for me in 5 minutes, no charge. How often does that happen?! They do excellent work. read more

Just got my car back after 1 week short of three months. That's THREE MONTHS! The insurance company paid them all the money up front and WFAB had ZERO incentive to move quickly. While they promised me "regular updates," I always had to chase them to get the information. They were completely unable to tell me when the car was going to be finished, or deliver it in a reasonable period of time. They had the parts. They had all the cash. They just did not have the customer service or will or interest to do the work in a timely way. They did a decent job at fixing it. If you have no need for your car for months and months, give 'em a try. But if you need your car anytime in the next few months, try someone else. Really. You have been warned. read more

Long overdue. My Camry was rear ended and a friend recommended this shop. Right decision . First , they advised me to go through my insurance since it will be faster . Second, they used OEM though insurance paid for after market (they price matched) . Third, regularly updated about progress. Fourth delivered on time. So why 4 star ? Had to return twice . 1) The paint shop need a little more attention. Had paint drip on couple of places which was fixed and they even put me on a loaner. 2) After the first rain , I noticed that one of the rear lights got fogged -- water inside. Again, fixed without any hassle. 3) They forgot to do alignment ... very important since there was frame damage. Took care after I mentioned. read more

They did and wonderful job on my aunt's car with damage that was done to her car while it was parked on a street when it got hit by a another car who took off from the accident. When we went back to get the car from them it looked like it was never hit and we realized the seat wasn't working and they took care of that for us and we are greatly appreciated by them to go the extra way to help us out. I went to this place (Woburn Foreign Auto Body) to have my bumpers for my 2000 Toyota 4runner replaced. The job cost nearly $2000. I was hesitant to spend that kind of money on such an older truck but the truck has been very good to my family and reliable....Then again, it's a Toyota...Anyways, after I agreed to have the shop do the job, the job was completed. I took the truck to Woburn Toyota ( affiliated with the same body shop) to have a tune up done. It was then , I was advised that the Truck is "UNSAFE" to drive due to the frame having some sort of hole in it. I got a phone call from the shop advising not to do the tune up and I agreed. I found that to be ridiculous that the Body shop did not see this "UNSAFE" issue with the truck prior to taking $2000 from me. I am certain that the truck was placed on a "LIFT" and the same "UNSAFE" issue could have been noticed. I emailed the company regarding my dissatisfaction and by coincidence, I have not heard back from anyone. Before this whole process, It was not an issue for them to email me DETAILED pictures regarding the job and the estimate but yet, I now have a complaint, I cannot receive a response. Unreal customer service! I was referred to WFAB by 128 Volvo for my 07 s40 after being rearended. The damage didn't look like much, but once they took my car apart there was more front/rear damage than they expected. The repairs took 4 weeks to complete (combination of the actual repair work & dealing with insurance assessors). Usually this would be a HUGE issue, but I was given a '10 Toyota Camry to drive and completely updated on every step of the repairs. The WFAB website is great. You can track your car's repair process so you know exactly what they are doing to your vehicle (photos & email alerts). My car was given back to me fully detailed and looking just as great as the day I bought it. The inside/outside were sparkling! Jim, Star, and all the other reps were always pleasant & helpful on the phone and in person. read more

I had my car fixed here a few months back. They said it would take 3 days (yes - that was the actual quote on the phone) - it took 3 weeks. The website they give you was never updated properly. I found them extremely rude - esp. the girls that pick up the phone and feel they tried "selling" extra services that I didn't need. I just had to get another car fixed and knew I wouldn't come back here. I went to Keane Auto Body in Woburn and it only took a week (for a job that was a lot worse and larger). They said a week and it literally was a week. I would stay away from this place unless you are fine not having a car for almost a month. read more

I took my car here to get fixed on the recommendation of a friend. He had shown me how they email you a picture they take of your car each day, so you can see the progress as it's being fixed. I liked the idea and I needed to have some repair work done. After having the car towed to Woburn, I got a call from someone there asking if I could come pick up the small outboard motor that I'd just purchased on Craigslist and had left in the trunk of the car (they were fixing the rear tailgate). I had no place else to put the outboard, and with my car now in the shop, no way of getting out to Woburn from Boston. I told the guy that, and then told him that I wouldn't mind if they wanted to remove the motor from my trunk and put it somewhere during their work. He said ok, and that they would proceed with the repairs. I then told him that they just needed to make absolutely sure that the motor was only ever placed "tiller side up," and that there is a decal on the side that clearly says "THIS SIDE UP." Otherwise the oil will flow into the cylinder/carburetor and cause damage. The guy cut me off, telling me that all his guys own boats, and that they'd know what to do. Fair enough! Fast forward a few weeks, I get my daily email with a picture of my car. The tailgate was open and the rear bumper had been removed. At first glance it looked just fine, until I noticed my engine sitting there with the wrong side down! I immediately called them and explained the situation, and was put on hold while the guy who answered spoke with someone who had been working on the car. "Oh yeah, he says it's just fine, not a problem." I told him that was definitely NOT fine, and that it was now almost certainly flooded with oil and wouldn't start. "It was only like that for a few minutes, it should be fine." The owner's manual said otherwise, so I got a ride there the next day and picked up the engine to bring it to a dealer for service. I told them what had happened, and mechanic there tested it to see if it was ok. Sure enough, the pull cord was jammed and the engine wouldn't start. Great. I asked them to fix it and send me the bill. The total to clean and rebuild the engine came to $154. I sent the invoice to WFAB, and explained that I expected them to pay for it, as the damage was entirely caused by their carelessness (it started flawlessly prior to being left on the wrong side), and I had EXPLICITLY warned them not put it on the wrong side before they began work on the car. The guy told me that they weren't paying because they weren't responsible, and that this is why they wanted me to come pick up the engine in the first place. Bullshit. They called me to say they didn't want to work on it with the engine there, I told them how to do it without causing any damage, and they agreed to go forward with the work. They could have refused to work on it until I picked up the engine, and that would have been absolutely fine. Instead, they disregarded my clear warning and broke my engine. I realize it's not a ton of money, but it's the principle of it. I really expected these guys to make it right, especially considering how clear cut the situation is. Bottom line: Do not do business with Woburn Foreign Auto Body--they're dismissive and they don't pay attention to detail. read more
