I took my 91 year old Mom to see Dr Joseph Mishell and had a very disappointing experience with Dr. Joseph Mishell. We waited nearly an hour past the scheduled appointment time with no updates or apologies. When she was finally seen, Dr. Mishell displayed a terrible bedside manner-he was abrupt, dismissive, and made us feel like an inconvenience rather than a patient. We left the office feeling unheard and frustrated. I would not recommend him based on this experience. The office said he has been practicing here for the past 25 years and is considered to be a "Senior Doctor" I find that to be a joke! He told us that he called a prescription into our pharmacy and 5 hours later our pharmacist said they never received anything. read more

The 2 doctors I saw at this practice were rude, condescending and did not accurately communicate my diagnosis or follow up care. I'm not sure I've ever been to a ruder medical practice. read more

I am a new patient at this office. I had a freak accident which requires me to go to an ENT. The Dr. is amazing. It seems to be the office manager where the power has gone to her head and she has forgotten what it is like to be human. She thinks nothing of putting robo calls on my phone. I have explained that I do not want any robo calls. This was a simple request. I find them rude, disrespectful, irritating and obnoxious. They come to my house at all hours including legal holidays.I am not a robot and I do not like being treated as such. I understand now that this is their policy but every patient should have choice concerning this. This manager was so rude. It is her way or no way. She is up high, you are down low. There was no way of talking of reasoning with her. I was told that if I did not accept these calls a $75 fee would be accessed to my account if I missed an appointment. I have never heard of this before. They are so many patients struggling in today's world. They go from penny to penny. This is a lot of money for many. You might as well charge $500. There is no difference. You should never be penalized this way for trying to see a dr. The rudeness and disrespect from her was so out of control. You talk to people and explain the policy especially if you are a new patient. Instead, she told me in the rudest way that she was making notes on my account and she was going to repot this to my Dr as if I was a child being reported to a principal for doing something wrong. My impression is she gets a high on charging patients. It is fun for her. I don't think she hears herself when she barks at patients. She does not talk. She is the boss!! How does one treat a patient like this and get away with this? I am sure I am not the only one. It makes you never want to go to this practice again or any practice that has a policy and manager like this. She also likes to play games figuring nobody will be able to find out what she is doing. I brought my nearly 2 year old son in for an evaluation upon a friend's recommendation and I am so glad we found Dr. Zuckerman!! She knew right away what he needed (adenoid removal and ear tubes). Her examination was efficient and her bedside manner is wonderful. The medial assistants were helpful and friendly, and they even have a nice hearing exam room so they could test my son's hearing before and after surgery. The surgery scheduler, Chris, did an outstanding job in getting us scheduled as soon as she could. My son had surgery at Lake Forest Hospital and the staff assisting Dr. Zuckerman was incredible!! They even had kids books and a fire truck in his pre-op room to help him feel welcomed. I cannot recommend this practice enough. And one more plus - their office is easy to access, park, and very modern. read more

The receptionist just yelled at me. I have never been yelled at by a receptionist. I understand that they have openings but I wish that they were open till 6 or 7 pm. I can't miss work otherwise I will get fired. I can't go on my lunch break because if I do then it will take an hour or two hours. I don't have that. I don't get paid if I take off from work. Don't see Dr. Lieberman. Worst experience I've ever had, with an ENT! A robot would have more personality, than this guy! I went to this place, to have a buildup of ear wax removed. He motions to me to lie down on the table, then proceeds to stick some apparatus in my ear, saying something like 'this is my little vacuum'. Turns it on and BAM! Most UNCOMFORTABLE and NOISY procedure I've ever had! Then he asks a couple of questions WHILE he has this 'torture device' in my ear, and gets ANNOYED when I ask him to repeat what he was asking/saying!!! NEVER AGAIN, with this twerp. read more

This place is probably excellent for simple sinuses or ear infections, but it is not a place to go to for specialized issues within the ear. They didn't show any knowledge about treating the inner ear and doctors even told me to go somewhere else for that type of treatment - which is actually nice of them to say that. I guess this place is for your simple ear issues. read more

I've been seen here a few times now, and i have to say that i'm a fan so far! They seem to be pretty thorough, scheduling is pretty straight-forward and easy to make appointments. They have two locations. I'm in Buffalo Grove so i opt for the Long Grove location whenever possible. Doctor is friendly, prompt, and seems to be up to date on treatments/options. They've even got their own CT scanner right in the office (Highland Park office). Which is great! They can see stuff right away instead of having to go somewhere else and get a scan & wait for results. read more

All aspects of my visit today were outstanding. The receptionist was very pleasant, Dr. Taitz was friendly and explained everything he was doing very well. Debbie did my test and she was also very friendly, knowledgeable and explained the results very well. I would highly recommend North Shore ENT. read more

Dr. Lieberman has been my doctor for a long time! Great doctor and overall, very nice guy. Others doctors in this practice are great also. Unfortunately, the office staff has a very bad attitude. Not the first time I've had problems with them and I'm sure it won't be the last. Instead of resolving an issue, it becomes more inflamed. Had an appointment. I never received word it was cancelled. They told me they attempted to reach me by email, and phone. However, going through my history, I never received any notifications from them. I was still on their schedule. Office manager was supposed to make matters better but just aggravated the situation even more. No matter what a patient is being seen for, RESPECT for us is essential. You're on the front line and you represent the doctors. Do your job, ladies and leave the attitude at home!! read more

The worst doctor's visit in my life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Scheduled appointment with dr Taitz because of decrease in hearing. In the middle of my explanation about the reason of my visit, I was interrupted by him, telling me to lie down so he can exam my ears. After whole 15 seconds of examination, the diagnose: "you have a fluid in your left ear". I will send prescription for antibiotic to your pharmacy"... The End! Yes, The End! He left the room. The whole visit lasted 1 minute. No conversation, no eye contact, no explanation about medication, nothing. I didn't even have a chance to ask him questions. When I was checking out, I saw him walking down the hall, I yelled, asking if both ears are affected. Called office manager Amy to complain, she promised she will talk to dr Taitz and she will call me back on Friday. Of course she never bothered to call me. So, please do yourself a favor, and find a different ENT place. This one is NOT worth even that 1 star. read more

i love love love love everyone at ent. i have been here since i was a baby and grown to know and love everyone. i have seen all the doctors and feel such a special relationship with them over the years. i love all the doctors but especially love dr freint because he known me since i was a little little baby. he has helped me so much and still continues to help me with any questions that i have. he always goes over and beyond to make sure i understand everything and always is so friendly. i love connie. she knows me and my whole family and is like a part of my family. every time i have a problem with my ear she is always so helpul and always helps me in any way that she can. read more

While the front office staff is lovely, this is the 3rd (and last) time we have gone. The wait was almost two hours and that is what we have experienced before. We went to Dr. Michel previously and it is clear that he dislikes children. We switched to Dr. Freint and he was incredibly patronizing and kept interrupting me when I was trying to answer his questions. Unless you have all the time in the world and don't mind being talked down to, I would fine somewhere else. read more

I don't know why the person before me gave this office such a bad review. I really like this doctor's office. I come hear a couple of times a year to get my ears clean and my throat checked due to the severe allergy problems that I have. My recommendation for which doctor to see is Dr. Zuckerman. She is such a nice lady who really cares for her patients. I really like how she treats her patients like "people' and not "lab experiments" What I mean by this is that she always wants to know what is going on in my life. It makes me less nervous to be at the doctors office. Besides, her caring manor, Dr. Zuckerman gives me great medical recommendations and advice if she was concerned about my ears and throat. The only reason why I deducted a star from this practice is due to the office staff and secretaries. They do not treat patients very politely. Many times I will ask them questions about my insurance or upcoming appointments etc. and these ladies tend to have a very bad attitude and tone with me. In my opinion, this is no way to treat a customer. Other than that, I would recommend this practice for anyone who needs an ENT. read more

While they do not accept Medicare, they say they will file a Medicare claim on your behalf. However, they never did -- and lied about it, insisting that they had filed for us. We didn't find out until it was too late to file a claim ourselves -- so we were out of pocket more than $300. Despite repeated requests for proof that they had filed a claim, they never produced any record or document -- and Medicare has no record of any claim. They were rude, unpleasant and unresponsive, never returning our phone calls. read more
