If I could give 0 stars I would. My son sent me a flower for my birthday that was supposed to have a box of candy and a teddy bear with it. They forgot the bear so he sent a message to the FTD that he ordered from and a different florist sent a correct arrangement yesterday afternoon. Today North Star Florist came back to my job and picked up the original flower that was delivered. One that is embarrassing to me at my job and second buyers beware they may send you a flower that was delivered to someone else first. Disappointing...my daughter bought some flowers for my birthday and I did receive them this past Friday but they were supposed to be light and dark pink like in the photo and they were all light colored so she called to let them know. My daughter was very disappointed because even the vase was not at all like the photo and the flowers were not the same. Today, they brought me some other flowers, correct colors but looks like they just threw them in a vase. I had to do my best to rearrange them to look pretty. Please, North Star Florist, do your best to try to be proud of what you present to someone. A smile would be nice as well. I tried to be happy of the how it was presented to me. Even though I don't arrange flowers for a living, I did my best to make it pleasing to me. I placed an order through FlowerShopping.com for same day delivery. I put on the order form to leave flowers at door as the recipient would not be home until after hours. My email confirmation confirms they received the request. They did not leave the flowers, but tagged that the door that they tried to deliver them and would try again tomorrow. . What a lovely surprise to the recipient. I called the store and was told that it was FlowerShopping.com's fault & their driver was gone home for the day (it wasn't even 4:00 yet). I was told if I called FlowerShopping and cancelled the order after they deliver the next day, they will go back and get the flowers . So, you'll make 2 trips to pick up flowers, but not a return trip to drop them off as originally requested? Of course, FlowerShopping.com said they relayed the delivery information to this shop... and why wouldn't they? It just makes sense. I haven't seen the delivery, but it did get delivered today. I had been using this florist several times within the past year or so and never had any major problems any time I went to pick up my flowers. However, my first experience ordering flowers for a home delivery has really soured my good feelings, resulting in me posting this review. For our wedding anniversary a few weeks ago, I placed an online order to have flowers delivered on a Sunday. The order form states they cannot guarantee a specific time for delivery but would do their best to meet requests. I added a note saying I would prefer the earliest delivery possible. On Sunday morning my wife and I were in the house, staying in the living room for the most part (close to the front door). I made sure to have any music turned down low so I could clearly hear the door bell or a knock on the door. I was also peeking out the window several times and being very attentive to make sure I would not miss a delivery attempt. Several hours passed and no flowers. We were starting to approach the Sunday closing time for the florist. Finally I decided to call the florist and ask if they had an approximate time for delivery. They told me they already made an attempt earlier that morning, which really surprised me. Sure enough, I step outside to my front porch and there is a note on the door knob that they had attempted delivery. I could not understand how they claimed to have attempted delivery. Not once did I hear anything. No knock, no door bell ring. The guy at the shop said the flowers had now been returned to the shop and they could try another delivery (not a good idea since my wife and I were planning to leave soon) or I could just go pick them up. Now here's the kicker that really got me mad. I paid that high delivery fee for the convenience of having them send me the flowers, only to end up with me driving there anyway to pick them up! And of course, the guy told me I would still be charged the delivery fee because they did attempt delivery. Ughhh. I have tested my doorbell since then, and sure enough it's working just fine. It can be heard loudly inside my house with just a little bit of pressure from a finger press. I also asked him why they hadn't tried contacting my cell phone (which I provided when I submitted the order), but he simply replied the delivery guy doesn't do that. In the end, I just wanted to vent some frustration with the florist's claim that they do their best to make a delivery attempt. There's just no way I could have missed hearing them at the door if that were the case. They clearly did not make a good attempt to determine if anyone was home or not (did not even try a phone call). Not only will I not count on these guys again for a delivery, I will now take my business elsewhere. There are plenty of other florists in the area to pick from, that's for sure. read more

I have been coming here to get flowers for my daughter post-dance recital (at Garland HS nearby) for a few years now, and they really bend over backwards to make AMAZING arrangements for a very reasonable price. I've never once been disappointed and to see how my little girl's eyes light up when she sees her bouquets means they hit the mark perfectly every time. I received a bouquet on Valentine's Day made by this flowers shop and what was delivered was not even close to what was advertised online. I don't consider myself an expert but can tell what was delivered is not what was ordered.
