Monday evening I realized that my dryer had stopped working. I called and had an appointment for the next day at 11am. Tuesday he had come and after checking the breaker, realized that it might be another issue and that I would need an electrician. I woke up this morning to the most awful smell EVER. My son and husband both thought I was crazy but come to find out, the refrigerator had decided to completely die. The things that has defrosted should not ever be defrosted and allowed to become warm (I.e, shrimp, fish, things of this nature). The first phone call was to the people who had allegedly "serviced" the fridge before: Accredited Appliance. Considering the woman seemed to have a substantial problem processing what we were saying (I don't mean a language barrier - I mean, an intelligence barrier, and also a lack of general manners), Un-Accredited Appliance could not come until Monday. Lady, clearly you don't understand the desperation I have. :-) My husband was not going to do any more searching, so I called a few. Roger was the second or third. He called back within an hour and came over within 2 hours. Roger is very honest, polite, efficient and gave his real opinion. He serviced the fridge, gave us his honest opinion, would provide a few quotes, and for his trip, repairs and time it was only $135 (including freon). Thank you Roger. We really appreciate it! My washer stopped working a couple of months ago and after a lot of online searching of BBB and appliance repair reviews I chose North Valley Appliance. My fridge had been leaking water for a few months but I didn't want to spend the money to have someone come out so I had Roger take a look at the fridge (since he was here for the washer already) and he said there was a kit to fix the problem so he took care of it. As far as the washer he determined it would cost more to fix than buy a new one. Fast forward two months (after buying a new washer) and my dryer stopped heating. He came out yesterday and replaced the heating element. In both cases Roger came during the time frame we agreed upon. Roger is a quiet man but he was more than happy to answer my appliance related questions. The price felt reasonable to me for both visits. I would highly recommend Roger. read more
