Fortunately, Jeff was very knowledgeable about RING installations and understood what complications might arise and how to remedy them. Jeff's original estimate for the job was less than half of what Turn It On Electric quoted me. It seemed like the latter wanted to fix things that weren't broken. When it was time to pay for Jeff's work, there were no additional charges; the bill was the exact amount he originally quoted me. It seemed reasonable. The job was completed in a timely manner, and I approved of his work.

I had a bathroom outlet in my rental home that wasn't providing power -- it was newly installed about a year ago and this was the first time I tested it. I called to schedule an appointment, and the person I spoke with walked me through scheduling and availability but at no point mentioned that they have a $285 minimum service charge, regardless of how simple the job turns out to be. The electrician arrived and diagnosed the issue almost immediately: a switch/breaker in the main panel had simply been left off. He flipped it back on, tested the outlet, and confirmed it was working -- the entire fix took just a few minutes. Despite the simplicity of the issue, I was charged the full $285 minimum. I understand service calls have overhead, but I feel strongly that a charge this significant should be communicated clearly at the time of scheduling, not after the technician has already been to my home and the work is done. Had I known about the $285 minimum in advance, I would have asked more questions or looked elsewhere. I'm not disputing the technician's professionalism. My issue is entirely with the lack of upfront pricing transparency.

Came inside and then my wife showed him our washtower. He took a call while she was talking to him. When he finished the call, he then asked her how much we paid for our washer/dryer. He then moved the unit over to the left to get a better view of the work area then told us we needed to purchase the kit (the one he said we didn't need), then basically told us our new unit was crap and we'd maybe get 2-3 years out of it at best. Gave us a (decent) quote for labor. Told us to call when we get the necessary kit, then left. I had to move the washtower unit back to its original position myself. Ended up calling another local company they came out within 2 hours (with the kit) and did the job in less than an hour. *in response to the unprofessional Google response from the business edited to add...we have the encounter on security video, and I'm MORE THAN happy to upload it for everyone to see for themselves. I've been accused of many things in my lifetime, but I've never been accused of actually being rude. Honest, yes. Too nice, yes. Rude no. Rude is showing up an hour and 15 minutes after you confirmed a specific time. Rude is taking a phone call while your current customer is in the middle of talking to you. Rude is asking someone how much they paid for something. Rude is repeatedly dropping your tools down onto the floors. Rude is cutting my wife off repeatedly while she was trying to speak to you and then Dean turn to address things with me instead. She's not invisible...but she is the legal homeowner, not me.

Conner shows up and his hand is wrapped in a protective trauma splint, having just smashed it while working on an appliance the day or so before, so the guy literally is one-handed. He then proceeds to repair our dryer as if he had another invisible arm and hand. He got that thing apart with finesse and skill somehow managing with only one decent hand. It was awesome and he wasn't a hacker, beating the tar out of our dryer like some Joe 6-pack (a low-quality repair guy who will do any job for a 6-pack of cheap beer.) Not hard to imagine the discomfort from throbbing pain the guy endured to deliver his brand and take care of his family, a very respectable ethic. I offered to give him a hand (couldn't resist the pun) when he needed it and he thanked me, but never asked. RESPONSIVE AND QUICK TO SCHEDULE. He was responsive through my Yelp messaging request and scheduled our dryer repair quickly. When he arrived, the problem was as we thought, a failing belt. He also suggested the wisdom of replacing another related item (I forgot the part), as it was wearing and also typically goes soon after the factory belt, indicating the high probability of saving us money from not having to pay him labor to come back out in a month or so and open up the dryer again! Conner earned more of out trust in that moment, not to mention it is a suggestion a homeowner loves to receive. COMPETITIVE PRICING. His pricing was very competitive, even though we weren't shopping for the cheapest option, but rather preferring sooner scheduling and quality. I just remembered I hadn't written him this review (he didn't ask, just something I felt was merited) and am about to leave him a voicemail asking him to schedule a replacement on our most recent need, a squeaky washer belt. Makes sense, a few months later than the factory dryer belt, the washer belt is starting to go. Thanks, Conner! Appreciate your integrity and quality.
