This company that is the worst company I've ever talked to. We bought a home that had there propane tank for the property. We where told that we could use the propane till it was at 10% then call to get it set up in our name and have it filled. We are at 24% and had a guy come to our door with NO notice and tell my boys that the gas was being turned off and they locked the tank. We have a disabled son and cannot go without, not to mention it's Thursday evening and we can't get things done in such short notice to get another tank out. This company had no remorse what so ever and said they sent notices out to the owner of the property who had previously owned the house. Which we got no notice being the current home owners. I'm disgusted with this company. DO NOT USE THEM, ethically horrible people who own this company and horrible customer service. read more

They have terrible service! I had contacted them Jan 7th to have them come out and fill our tank. We were out of town and when we got back we had no gas at all. This was on Sunday Jan 24th. I contacted them Jan 25 Monday and they did apologize for it not being done since there was record that they were suppose to come but for some unknown reason they didn't. The manager told me that they would have it done ASAP since this was past the two weeks but of course they didn't come out. I call the office at 4 before they close and I couldn't get a hold of anyone and once I did they hung up on me. Very poor service. Thanks to central coast gas for being able to accommodate me as soon as I called and came out within an hour after my call. read more

One star is generous. We moved to Paso Robles in October 17, their tank was already on property so we thought we would try them. Big mistake! No customer service, local manager is very disorganized, it begs the question what does she actually manage, certainly not propane delivery! She told me she schedules deliveries and then when my husband called she told him the drivers scheduled them. I wish I read the reviews before I signed up with them! If you have a choice, stay away from this company Delta Gas is sooo much better. Actually, they are sooo bad that anyone would be better! read more

This review goes hand in hand with the other reviews and I can't believe this place is still in business. We moved into our house in Templeton in December and the previous owners had Northern Energy Propane, so we called to sign up as we thought that would be easiest. We ended up running out of propane before they could schedule to come out and fill our tank. Then we decided to switch companies (central coast propane...great btw!) and wanted Northern Energy to come pick up the tank. Here we are 4 months later with multiple phone calls and they STILL have not picked up their tank! Each time they say "oh we will do it next week" or "we don't have enough man power" and cannot get a firm date or time for pickup. I highly recommend you avoid this company at all costs. We filed a complaint with the better business bureau today. Stay away!!! read more

Would give zero stars if possible. Mary emailed paperwork at beginning of my tenancy on the residence. At no point did she mention that there was a deadline for the paperwork to be returned. They then (for what reason who knows) came out onto my property and turned our propane off. They were not very apologetic or sincere even though they admitted fault. It took over a week for someone to come out, so we had no access to our stove. Then when they came to turn it back on they performed leak tests and such, and I received a bill in the mail for over $200. Northern Energy was merging with Amerigas at this time (of which they gave ZERO notice to clients - real professional) and I got transferred from person to person, speaking with someone as far as Oxnard. No one knew what they were talking about. Eventually after the girls got ahold of Mary they realized they accidentally charged me for an ENTIRE tank full of propane that was never requested nor delivered. After MANY harassing notices in the mail and phone calls in regards to collections, they said the account showed no charges and to just ignore the notices as they came. Time went on and eventually it became time to refill our tank, and when the welcome paperwork was sent out the office manager Mary named a specific first refill rate. Upon inquiry Amerigas tried to give me a much higher rate, and when told such the girl informed me her manager okay'ed her to honor that rate. I informed her that the notice sent to me was a LEGAL document. They had no choice but to honor it. Mary failed to be specific in her rate per gallon. NOWHERE in her email was it specified that the rate was PER gallon. Not being naive (or trying to take advantage) I understood it was a mistake, and kindly informed the girl on the phone, to which she replied it was assumed, which it's not. It's a legally binding written document from their company. Needless to say we won't continue with whoever this company is calling themselves now. Other than these fiascos they're very hard to get ahold of, sometimes they just don't answer the phone, very slow call return rates, very slow field response, and snobby catty receptionists with the inability to communicate or understand their accounts. Do not waste your time or brain cells. Update: After waiting one week for a call from a technician to schedule removal of their empty tank I called to schedule a pick up myself, explaining there's a child living in the premises and have no access to appliances or heating/air because I couldn't start service with a new company until their tank was gone. I was told the earliest they could some out was such and such date. Scheduled pickup for an exact date and time and no surprise - NO CALL NO SHOW. Called the following Monday livid and was given a bunch of excuses by a catty and snobby receptionist - none of their employees take responsibility for their mistakes and shitty service. After what was around 4-6 WEEKS from cancelling service they picked their tank up - only after I threatened to report them to the BBB and take them to small claims court. Wouldn't go near this business with a 10 foot pole. read more

I was looking for the cheapest propane that I could find. So my grandson found this one. They charged me $1.87 a gallon for the first fill-up and $2.87 for the last one which is what I expected. The only real complaint I have about them is the billing. I filled out all the paperwork to make monthly payments, but instead, I get pay this amount now. So if I want to pay monthly I have to call the company and do it over the phone. I don't like being told that if you don't pay now it will be sent to collections either. I pay every month on it. So when this is paid off, I will be switching companies. Any suggestions??? read more

Worst Company Ever! They have built their business on lies. You can't get an honest answer out of anyone in that office. Not only do they lie about everything from charging your credit card to anytime you need service "their truck broke down", they PRICE GOUGE. When we signed up with Northern we were told we were "locked in" at a certain price only to be charge about 50% higher than the average price of propane. They have NO scruples! I'm not sure how these people go home and get an honest night sleep knowing they screw people over on a daily basis. YELP needs a minus star rating. read more

These guys are terrible. Utterly dishonest. We used them for 4 years and it just kept getting worse and worse. Their business practice is to charge $4.25 per gallon when the market price is $3.60. They appear to hope you won't notice. If you call and complain, they reduce it. And when I called to cancel they spent 20 minutes on the phone trying to find ways to prevent me from cancelling. Ultimately they agreed to pick up their tanks, but want to charge me a $59 "dispatch fee" and roughly $75 per tank. Its easier and cheaper to leave the mafia. read more

Don't due business with this company! We live in Atascadero and they are the Biggest pain in the neck to deal with. I've called 4 times and waited over 3 months for them to pick up their empty tank - we switched companies because their prices are too high. Each time I call they say, "we'll let our driver know". Huge ad in the paper about their Customer Appreciation Day. Free hot dogs, snow cones, music, prizes & propane $1.49/gl. 11-3 Friday August 25. Husband arrived at 11:15, not set-up for anything yet. No hot dogs on the grill, soda stacked, not on ice, told not enough room for anyone to park in their lot. Totally disorganized! The only good thing was the $1.49/gl propane. Will not waste our time on this place again, like was done today, suggest you don't either. read more

Avoid this business at all costs. For the last two months, when our tank is getting low, we've had to call for propane delivery only to be told we're on the list for that day, and they don't show up. It's cold and damp now! We called Thursday and were given the same song and dance. They did not show up. We use about 4% per day, and now it's Saturday, and we're at 3%, which means we will not have heat tomorrow. We called the emergency number today and were on hold for almost 30 minutes. I won't hold my breath about getting propane today. We will definitely be switching companies. Absolutely the worse customer service we've ever experienced. read more
