Needed a leaf trailer spring for our boat trailer. Came here and sizes we were looking for were sold out. A rep came over and assisted us and let us know a truck came in and she could check for us. She came back with what we needed and another size that would fit. She was very helpful and didn't mind going out of her way for us. She continued to assist us while looking for more accessories we needed. Man, totally awesome customer service (she let us know she'd been working here for 15 years) and the whole time she smiked and joked with us. This store is a great place for all your accessory needs when it comes to your home projects involving construction, boat accessories, protective gear and clothing, trailer tires, welding, service parts and repair and so much more. They always have some sales going on so it's best to check in their flyer, online, or even in store. We walked out satisfied with our purchases. Great service at 6pm on a Sunday. Diagnosed a problem with a previous repair, 1 month ago, stayed late, after store closed in a Sunday to help. Troubleshooting repair was ok, but hose and spray top clogged. Replaced with their help. Manager did not make me wait another day to complete project, GREAT help and THANKS. read more

I was in need of a new filter for my truck. I took all the information including year make and model I was sold the one to the left they assured me it was the accurate one and it was nothing to do with the one that I needed for my car. They only assured me it was because it was closing time and wanted to get rid of me while making the sale. Horrible customer service do not recommend them to anyone. read more

I've been a big fan of Northern Tool for many years. Recently I went in to buy a floor jack and an air impact wrench. I always say buy what you want, buy quality and you'll never be disappointed. However, this time I bought a floor jack that maybe and I say "MAYBE " bigger than I needed. I didn't get a chance to pick it up because the store employee insisted he handled it. He even loaded it in the car. The jack is great though it's heavy as hell. Can't recall this employees name, unfortunately, he's great and obviously very strong,lol. Thanks to all of you read more

The 2 Northerns of Miami make me think of the age old question, what is more important: product or service? The Miami Gardens Northern has the better people, nicer, more knowledgeable, willing to help. They also have the smaller store, less selection and less organized. The southern Northern has just had a complete make over. The store is better arranged, and a much larger selection; but they still have the same problem as before, the people. You get a feeling that you are bothering them everything you ask a question or try to pay. read more

The technician, Tony, was the nicest, most knowledgable & accommodating person when we had a slight issue with our new pressure washer. Great store for trailer parts, tires, etc. However, they will try everything not to take anything back. They tell you to either come back another day, exchange with another one that does not work, or simply; NO! So I spent over $200 for a saw that I needed, because my old one broke. I take it home, it does not work. I take it back and am told,"we can't do anything about it". Thank goodness for sites like this and BBB. I will never buy anything else from them. Amazon just got more business from me! read more

This is from the perspective of their service department more than anything. I bought a Husqvarna lawnmower from them in August and have had it repaired 4 times in 9 months by them, and that was over the winter when it rains little. I don't expect it to survive a summer. After having the same problems over and over (mower chokes on healthy grass; not high, just dense) they repeatedly told me not cut wet grass. I keep telling me its not wet and they basically call me a liar and say they cannot fix it because it isn't broken. Husqvarna says its up the the retailer to diagnose the problem and Northern takes 10 minutes with it and decides it's user error. I offered to let them try mowing my grass but they'll only try their dead grass in their parking lot. Not a fair comparison. By the way, it was a $500 walk behind mower, not a cheap one. [UPDATE] Mower totally dead. Less than a year old and they will not offer a loaner or replacement. In repair shop for a month. I wish I could recommend a better service experience but Miami is the wild west. read more

I've read some of the reviews and are similar experiences as I had recently. I ordered online some tool bits, order went through and got a confirmation email. Checked my credit card and there was a pending from NT. After ONE MONTH of not receiving my order, I contacted CS with my order number. They said they had cancelled it but never notified me. Also that I could buy it again, but paying more than TWICE than I had payed! I complained and they simply answered "we can modify our prices whenever we want". SO now they have all my information to SCAM me with their junk mail, also my address AND my CREDIT CARD information to sell to hackers. THIS JOINT SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN, STAY AWAY FROM NT LIKE THE PLAGUE!!! read more

This store is stacked full of tools, motors, pressure washers, and a host of parts for trailers, pressure washers, lawn mowers, and much, much more. Parts like wheels, large and small, rope canvas, small tools, electric tools. And, it's all in stock so you can touch and examine before you buy. Places that actually stock what they sell are disappearing. What a pleasure it is to walk in and find what you need and go home with it in hand. Prices are reasonable. Quality is ok but the store does seem to shop to stock low price reasonable quality as opposed to premium quality. I was between 4 and 5 stars this place so I opted for the more conservative number. Needless to say, I will return when I need anything they have to offer. read more

First I have been buying from this place for many years but I when and ordered a $8.00 pole and had it sent to the store. Big mistake, the first one never made it to the store after 10 days waiting. I called the store they have no clue of anything ,in facts, someone called, me on Friday and told me the item had arrived. I call to make sure it was what I had purchased the person put me on hold for 20 minutes and hung up on me when my wife called back and talk to the manager he said said that no one called so I guess I was dreaming the whole thing! So I called customer services and they told me the item was on its way to South Carolina, remember we are in South Florida and from there it disappeared on the long drive. So they sent another one it's been another seven days and nothing in sight! the worst online ordering and delivering I have ever had in my many years of my life, the store has no communication with the headquarters and headquarters have no Communications in the store. I will not shop or order ever again from Northern in the future, my advice don't order anything online with this company. go across the street to Harbor Freight they're cheaper, they have it in stock and if not you will have it in the store in three days. read more
