The store is minimally hidden off of the feeder on 59 south. They have a large parking lot but you do have to look for the sign of the store. It is a very large store with multiple options and friendly service staff. I ordered a small item online and unfortunately the wait time while I was inside the store was pretty lengthy when I came to pick it up. My order had been ready for pick up, and I did get the confirmation email. However the process still takes a lot of time. Overall average experience. Expect to wait if you are picking up something or buying something in the store. read more

Guess who shops here? All kinds of people from all over Fort Bend County and Southwest Houston shop here. I enjoy shopping at this Northern Tools & Equipment in Stafford is because of diversity. It's tucked away from street view of the feeder road on Southwest Freeway. To be exact, the driveway is sandwiched between Chucky Cheese and James Coney Island Grill. I've seen trucks marked with governmental stickers and small business contractors. I knew this gotta be the most efficient store. Especially a recent remodeling helped to boost traffic and merchandise to the store. I've been here a few times years ago, it wasn't this pretty. I tried to avoid it like a plaque. For longest time, I couldn't find this place by looking at the side street address, not Southwest Freeway. Their shelves are well stocked and staff is much friendlier. Customers are more cordial than Harbor Freight or The Home Depot. Although people just couldn't understand why this Chinese man kept taking photos of orange stuff. Yeah, cuz #iLuvOrange. I too had problems at this location with customer service. I called about something I pre-purchased over 1 month ago. Everytime I called they put me on hold over 15 minutes and each salesperson was clueless in helping. This place really needs training on answering phone calls and helping properly. read more

I bought a chainsaw on oct1. It's November 5. I still can't get a refund. I was left on hold for over 20 minutes before an employee let me know that there was a meeting. Just the latest in avoidance tactics. Up until today I was told that the refund had to go through Husqvarna. A very nice lady in customer service finally explained to me that refunds had to go through the store I purchased it at. After more than 20 minutes on hold I was able to leave a message for the manager. I'll give him an hour then drive to the store and try to get something done in person. Wish me good luck. This is the one of the worst experiences I have ever had at a hardware store. My boyfriend and I came to this store to purchase a few items which were advertised specials. We had not been to this store before, but there were no employees on the floor to assist us in locating our items, so we set out to find them on our own. Of the three items we were looking for, one was found, one was out of stock, and the last was locked up behind a display. After finding an employee and showing them the item in the advertisement, she went to find someone who could unlock the display. This took a few minutes. When that person arrived, I showed her the advertisement and she pulled the item and took it with her to the register while we continued to shop. So far, this is pretty typical. But from this point things went to h*ll in a hand basket! We told the cashier that we had a coupon for $20 off any $100 purchase, and that we had a choice of a free item to accompany the one we were buying, and told her what we wanted. We figured this must happen pretty often and expected this to be a simple operation, but that's where we were dead wrong. First problem: we found out the "sales" lady pulled the wrong item so we had to wait while she pulled the correct item. Second problem: The cashier rang up the sale incorrectly resulting in a post-sale void. The next time she charged us incorrectly because the free item was not included in the sale (which we found out was required) and the third time in a partial credit back to our credit card because the cashier forgot to apply the $20 off coupon. During all of this, the original "sales" lady kept running off to help other people, leaving the flustered and clearly under-trained cashier floundering while we got increasingly irritated. An assistant manager finally showed up to help but he seemed unfamiliar with the POS system and also kept leaving to help other people. What should have been a ten minute visit turned into a one hour nightmare! Understaffed, undertrained, under engaged employees and management made this an unnecessary ordeal. Bottom line, I was very disappointed in the staff at this location and will not be returning to this store. read more

We had AMAZING, AMAZING, AMAZING service from Kenyon tonight. He was professional, friendly, knowledgeable. There were so many people in the store looking for generators because of the storm, he was able to help everyone. Not once did he seem stressed, always gave 100% service. This place sucks more so then anywhere else in town ! Online showed them to have 5 heaters in stock ! After waiting a hour to get help they found the 5 they have in stock but said they can't sale any of them until Black Ass Friday ! When the temperatures will be in the 60s on Friday who the hell needs one then ! I always heard that black Friday was a day of sales , but I was willing retail price for what I need when I need it ! This is a pretty standard northern tool location. I used to go here quite frequently for those amazing gray part bins. They are some of the best bins you can buy and they always have a variety of sizes. The staff is pretty helpful and parking is always open. read more

AMAZING SERVICE!!!!!! Bought a utility cart today, went home put it together and the handle was bent. I took it back and asked if we could just exchange the handle. They said absolutely and even did it in store in 5 mins so I didn't have to. Not to mention they helped us carry it out when we bought it. I bought a power washer from this place and the machine itself was OK but it kept blowing the ends off of the connector hose. I took it back to the store and was informed that they would have to keep it for a minimum of a week to "test" to make sure that I wasn't lying to them basically before they give me a refund or exchange the power washer. This is the first product I have bought from this place and it will definitely be the last. read more
