Another great repair! My glass top stove fractured and got a new one installed without any problems. It took a while to get the replacement from the manufacturer. The next one was my dryer which needed several parts and was done so expertly. Jason vacuumed out all the lint which is mind blowing how much accumulated. I can't praise this business enough. Got an appointment for the next morning, Jason arrived on time and was very polite and efficient. He advised me as soon as he determined he could fix the clothes dryer right then and kept the area very clean while he worked, replaced the part then vacuumed the inside works of the entire dryer which had accumulated a lot of lint and various debris over time, and actually left the laundry room cleaner than when he arrived. Called NVA when an error code came on my front load washer. They were able to respond within 48 hrs, which, I believe, is a very fair response time. They were prompt and friendly on the work day. Work was done efficiently. We also received a few tips to prevent the problem again. He also showed us a few important things about our washer that we never knew! Buyer beware!! In all my years buying appliances as either a tenant or landlord I've never dealt with a business that was this bad. Horrible customer service and some of the most dishonest people I've spoke to. If your looking for quality products and great customer service go to Appliance Resale on W. 8th Ave. Jason came out to diagnose why the tenants dryer stopped working. He told me that after looking at it needed a new motor, belt, rollers, and felt. He then told my tenant that he'd give him a deal on a newer front loader for $200. But when I called to set up the delivery he said he'd never told the tenant a price and it was going to be $225. I agreed to the price and set up a delivery date for three days later (the soonest they had). Friday (the delivery day) they never came out to install. By the time I had got off work that afternoon they were already closed at 4pm. Since they aren't open on the weekend either I called first thing Monday. Jason then told me oh I misunderstood that you wanted it installed on Friday. Which is weird because he told me he'd put me on the schedule for Friday when we spoke the week prior. After acknowledging the miscommunication he then says the soonest he could get it installed was another three days (Wednesday). I reluctantly agreed and told him to call me when he was on his way and I'd give him my credit card. They called me Wednesday morning for the payment which now was $235. After telling him what happened to $225 he said he'd never quoted that amount (Are you seeing a trend here?). I once again reluctantly agreed after telling him he had me bent over a barrel because my tenants had been without a dryer for 10 days now and I couldn't afford to wait any longer. After they had taken my payment information and my tenant had confirmed they arrived at the house it got worse. Jason's son Aaron called me to inform me that they had somehow broke the dryer upon delivery. I said ok what does that mean for me thinking they'd repair it and re-deliver. He said oh well we don't have any other working gas dryers so we'll get back to you by the end of the week if we can get something for you. Really?! They could care less they'd strung me along for all this time or that I was unhappy with the service so far. At this point I'm positive they're completely clueless as to what customer service is or should be. So after getting off the phone I called over to Appliance Resale (who I would've used initially had my tenant not called Jason's horrible business). Within minutes Appliance Resale set me up with a new gas dryer for $45 less than Northern Valley and said it would be installed within the next 5hrs. Once again my hats off to Appliance Resale because they know how a real business should be run with polite, fair and fast service. read more

Fantastic service! I searched a few placed on here for appliance repair and none of the other appliance repair places looked too great. I talked to Thad on the phone about getting a tech out to my house to look at my dish washer. They had avail appointments within a few days. Their diagnostic fees are competitive and fair. Jason (the tech) came out to my house a few days ago and was right on time with what they told me. He showed me what was wrong with my dishwasher and was very friendly and interactive. He called back to the store to see if they had the right part in stock and they did! He ran back to get it and was back within a few minutes. He had my dishwasher back up and running within a few hours from start to finish. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED FOR APPLIANCE REPAIR. read more

A few years back I bought a part for my washer and I asked the guy behind the counter if I could return it if it wasn't the right part. He said yes. The next day I went to return it and they refused to take it back because it was an electrical part. Ok, I understand that....but why did he say I could return it? Complete Incompetence. read more

Company replaced an external part on our refrigerator water dispenser and installed a kitchen sink disposer we had purchased locally. The refrigerator part charge was $91, labor charge $65, also charged $65 for service call. Total about $230. Only 30 day warranty on installation. Apparently any service call is $65 in addition to labor and parts on any repairs actually done. The work was done competently as nearly as we can tell. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. Apparently, this company contracts to do some of Best Buy's warranty repair service. They had to come up to repair my dishwasher and were being paid by Best Buy, and I asked them if they worked on washing machines. Even though they were already here, they charged me $64.95 to look at the washing machine and tell me it needed parts. Now it's going to be another $150+ for them to come back with the parts to fix it. Well, they called me a couple of days ago to tell me they had the part for my washing machine and they'd be here to fix it Monday. However, now they are calling and saying they are cancelling the appointment, because they don't have the part for the repair to the dishwasher being paid for by Best Buy. They refuse to "make two trips" even though they are charging full price for two separate repairs. In other words, they are "double-dipping." After talking to the person on the phone, who identified himself as Robert, the proverbial light bulb went on in my head and I remembered having dealt with them in the past. I have a $7,000 KitchenAid range that is also under warranty with Best Buy, and when they came to repair it probably a year ago or so, the repairman whined and carried on the entire time about how difficult it was to work on KitchenAid ranges and that they were going to start refusing to work on them in the future, because they are difficult. It all came back to me when I mentioned to him this time that I had an LG refrigerator, because he started whining about LG and Samsung, telling me he didn't want to work on those, either. I'm wondering just what, exactly, he is willing to work on! read more

My daughter is currently living in Chico, however, my wife and I live in Burney, CA. We needed to find someone to fix her Washer. We contacted Northern Valley, and they were able to make her repair the same day. Had the parts on their truck and made a quick job of this repair. Loved the speed, and cost, and as a dad liked the office reps warm fuzzy's that they would get to the job quickly. read more

We just had NVA out to fix our washer. The original reason was the washer was not locking. After Jason had come out $64.99 just to diagnose the issue he told me that the control board was bad along with the locking mechanism. He called us back with priced out parts, labor, and tax at $288.99. He came out and replaced the parts that needed (I don't know i wasn't hovering over his shoulder). As soon as he got the lid to lock he started a cycle on the machine. For some reason, the pump wast working after we had just replaced it not even 6 months ago. SO, Jason, the kind fella that he is had ME shop-vac the water out of the washer and was huffing and puffing the whole time because he was going to be late for his next appointment. I had just got off working a 13 hour shift at the hospital, shop-vacing my washer was not on my list of things to do. He then magically had a pump in his truck for our washer. Not to mention the additional $110. Never will we use this company again. They never cleaned up after themselves. He was very rude and had no customer service skills what-so-ever!
